I did my yearly My-Hime watch but this time I watched it in 1080p and it's as if I discovered the anime for the very first time.

ShizNat are so freaking toxic but I loved it every minute of it. Gotta go read some fanfictions. In a more serious note, I find incredible the fact that they were canon and we saw them kiss twice without censure, after all the anime got released in 2003. Nowadays animes are all about very subtext yuri, it's a big downgrade.

Mai is still the annoying mc that we somehow learn to love. I hated her less than last year.

Oh and this time, I loved Nao, she was amazing and her complexity is everything.

The soundtrack is incredible because Yuki Kajiura.

But for the first time, I didn't like the ending, the whole deus ex-machina was a huge let down and underwhelming.

So yeah, excited to see what I'll think about My-Hime next year ! Now, I'm going to watch My Otome (I'm definitely not ready for Tomoe)

I'll make sure to do replies tomorrow. Just finished most of my to-do list, and now I have biographies to cover.

I want to draw my muses as otome from Mai Zhime/Mai Otome. I think that the universe is neat. The story has not aged well, to say the least, but the premise is good. It is from the mid-2000s and a pairing is not kosher with me, so there lies your warnings. As far as I'm concerned, Nina/Arika is the endgame in the future.

And I'm happy they made ShizNat much different this time around.

finished watching mai-hime with my friends last night and... haha. it really sucks how much watching the last third of that show makes you keep imagining the theoretical universe where it was actually a good show... like the shiznat final duel etc. would've been SOOO cool if there was any build up at all. the concepts are there but oh boy, the execution... NOTHING BUT RESPECT FOR THE HARDWORKING MAI-HIME YURIPIGS OF THE 2000s AND BEYOND HOWEVER!!!

SORRY THE AUTISM GOT ME that is mr simon henriksson from the game cry of fear KIND OF. cry of fear is a horror game about that guy's mental illness. the gore covered bit is a version of him that pops up at the end of the game as a sort of final boss. hopefully this isn't a spoiler but the whole game (aside from the beginning and end) is like. the contents of a book simon is writing about the shiznat going on inside his head. gore covered hoodie boy is the simon from the book. it is a pretty spankin good game! i reccomend it if you are into games that use the original half life engine (goldsource) that are spooky and dark 😀👍
