“I'm going to be honest. I have no idea what “cosplay” entails other than dressing as characters from various media. So I was stumped on what to dress up as until I remembered I still had my…costume from last Halloween. As much as it was embarrassing to wear it, I had no other idea. At least, apparently, this is a common costume couples like to cosplay as. *sighs* At least you're not crying this round, Yano.”

*Openly stares at Sakura* “.......”

“Yano?”

*Continues to stare* “.....”

“Yano, I swear to God. If you're ogling my chest, this is going to become “Who Murdered Roger Rabbit” real fast.”

The day was finally coming to an end in Toyama. One Yano Ietsuna was in his home spending this Valentine’s Day wallowing around in his loneliness. That's why it came as a surprise when he heard the front door ring. Walking over he opened the door revealing to his horror Sakura Kito standing on his doorstep.

 “S-sakura?” Yano stuttered horrified to see the leader of the Kito-gumi standing in front of him. Oh god had he done something to anger her? Oh God was she here to bury him in the forests of Toyama?

“Normally I would have one of my men deliver this but Reika says I should show initiative. Something about showing that I care. Who the hell does she think she is trying to give me advice? Anyway here.” Sakura shoved a gift into Yano’s hands. “Happy Valentine’s Day Yano.”

Cautiously opening the gift Yano had nearly dropped it when he realized it was a gold and green Rolex watch. These things cost thousands of dollars and Sakura was just gifting him one. 

“Also one more thing” Sakura smirked and before Yano knew it Sakura grabbed the front of his shirt and lifted him to her face. What happened next had sent Yano shortcircuiting as Sakura kissed him on the mouth. Pulling back Sakura gave Yano a lazy smile.

 “I made dinner reservations for the two of us for a later date. Wear it for me will ya? Anyway, I'm all out of time Yano see you soon.” Sakura placed the frazzled glassblower on the ground before turning to walk to the black car parked out in front of Yano’s residence.

All Yano could do was stay frozen in place as he watched the dark car leave his street. As each brain cell in his brain started to reactivate, he slowly shut his apartment door, turned around, and plopped onto the floor of his entryway, the gift still in his hand.

“She… Likes me?” Yano finally manages to utter in a daze. Putting his fingers to his lips, he continues, “Sakura kissed me? Like… What the hell?”

Wracking his brain, Yano thought about all the signs that Sakura could have hinted at any sort of romantic interest. But for the life of him, he really couldn’t understand when it went from sadistic pleasure to actual feelings. At least now he knew. For a moment, the thought to thank Reika for getting Sakura to actually show up and ask him out. Ask him out…

Sakura’s last words finally clocked in his head. “Wait, dinner reservations? Did she just ask me out on a date?!”

Sakura was so ruthless, she almost killed Yano's last brain cell. Thank you for the gift! God, they're gonna be official. (ʘᗩʘ')

Jack’s Thoughts on Shizuoka Division

Kanon Hojo

“Ms. Hojo is a depressing case… One filled with misfortune, undoubtedly. Thankfully she is an issue for the Party of Words and not something I need to be tangled with. Despite this indifference, I hope she can find peace through a helping hand or even death. Personally, I think the latter would do better. And I’m sure Mr. Tetsumasu would despise my words. How surprising to learn that they were once acquainted? It shouldn’t be, seeing they both worked under Rei Amayado… Perhaps I should take a swing at picking her brain a little. We have a shared interest in Amayado, so there’s a chance she can entertain me with a discussion on that man. It would help me in my work, that’s for sure.”

Reika Aichi

“Ms. Aichi used to be the center of gossip among the wealthy for several years. Truthfully I assumed she had renounced her lavish party life. It seems I was wrong since her status as a socialite is still active based on her profile. I cannot say anything personally about this woman, but you would have to be a buffoon if you thought she was truly innocent. Only a moron would think that.”

Sakura Kito

“Thankfully I am not affiliated with Ms. Kito. Again, brutes like her are not in my field of focus.”

“It’s a charming name for sure. I can tell my young master had a field day with this team. I’m sure in their leader’s twisted mind, they’re on the side of good. It’s unfortunate that their ideas, the government, and most likely the audience are all going to be against them. Despite all these factors working against them, I do wholeheartedly wish them luck in their endeavors. Well… Maybe not for Ms. Aichi. Such acts of greed are unbecoming of a lady like her.”

Sayaka held the flower close and smiled brightly. “Awww! That was so sweet of them to give us gifts! I’ll have to bake them some treats sometime!”

Lola placed the crown on top of her head and smirked in reflection from her pocket mirror before closing it and expertly twirled the dagger with her other hand. “Sick, I expected nothing less from Reika, girl really gets me.”

Kureha was quite surprised to received a gift but was happy nonetheless, tracing over the easel with her finger. “Awesome, I needed a new easel, this came in just in time.”

Lola pointed at the cake Kanra gifted to them with her dagger. “Soo…anybody want some cake?”

“Yes please!”

“Sure”

Thank you for the gift!

It was soon to be the afternoon on this perfect, beautiful day. Of course, it was perfect. Tomi would expect nothing else on his birthday. Tomi had just come back to his estate after another gala was thrown in his honor. Truthfully, Tomi would rather be elsewhere than deal with those fake smiles and pathetic attempts to cozy up to him. Sadly, duty calls as a member of the esteemed Chōten family. His parents would expect nothing less than perfection.

Tomi opened the door to his recently cleaned room. His goal was to get ready before he could go visit a certain C.E.O. for dinner. However, sitting elegantly right on his bed was a decently sized emerald colored chest. If Tomi was into those plebeian things, he would say it looked like it came straight out of a fantasy RPG.

Once again, it seemed like Tomi had received a gift from an unknown person. While Tomi was now cautious about opening gifts from unknown people, this surely couldn't be worse than the "present" from that so-called She-Devil of Shinagawa. Could it?

However, just before Tomi could pick the gift up, it sprung open. Landing on his ass Tomi was about to curse when the words died in his throat as he saw what came out of the chest.

Oozing out of the chest was a black slime. Tomi could only watch in horror as it continued to come out of the chest before plopping onto his bedroom floor. Slowly crawling towards him, the slime contorted twisting in front of Tomi into what he could only call a nightmare.

The creature, if that's what Tomi could call it, was now "standing" in front of him. Multiple eyes began popping out of the creature's body. Each one rapidly blinking and looking around the room before they all squarely landed on Tomi. The black goo then smiled, revealing to his terror human teeth. Then, opening its mouth as far as it could showed its long serpent-like tongue.

Just as Tomi was about to scream for help, the creature gave his face a horrifically disgusting lick. It even managed to stick part of its tongue inside his ear. Leaving a trail of saliva all over his face.

Once again, Tomi was about to scream for help when he realized he couldn't. Tomi couldn't move his mouth, let alone his arms and legs in an attempt to escape the creature.

The creature now knowing Tomi was immobilized opened its mouth and began to sing?

Tomi could only watch as the creature began to sing Happy Birthday to him. Its voice is high-pitched, sounding like a mix of glass being broken and nails on a chalkboard.

It was then that Tomi noticed a toxic green glow coming from inside the creature. Once again, to Tomi's horror, he watched the black slime twist and expand; the light meanwhile became stronger the longer the creature continued to sing.

Just as the creature reached the crescendo of the song, it froze. The toxic green glow was now extremely strong, making Tomi go blind due to how strong it was. Then, before Tomi knew it, the creature exploded.

BOOM!

Tomi was sent flying before he hit the wall of his bedroom. Groaning, Tomi tried to steady himself before he looked around. His room was once again covered in slime. However, this time was worse. A putrid smell was now in the room, and it had Tomi gagging at how bad it was. It would take months for the stains and smell to disappear completely even if Tomi hired the best cleaners in the world to fix his room. Dumbfounded, Tomi could only just stare at his room.

In Shizuoka Division…

"I know those looks on your faces. What did you two do?"

"Why nothing, Sakura. Can't a girl just be happy?"

"It's that pathetic rich male from Aoyama's birthday."

"I repeat myself. What did you two do?"

"Just sent him a…little gift."

"He's currently dealing with an experiment of mine. Don't worry. It's sadly not going to kill him. Just give him psychological trauma."

"I still say we should've gone with maiming him at least."

"You know what? I'm too sober to deal with this right now."

About half an hour later, Tomi was once again sitting inside his private bathtub (which thankfully had been cleaned from the earlier mess) furiously scrubbing his skin to erase the horrid smell that that wretched creature had gotten onto him. His servants were, once again, busy cleaning his bedroom, though they had to be equipped with gas masks and safety equipment since it was unknown if that slime was poisonous or not. From the looks of it, however, it seems that his room wouldn't be fumigated or cleaned by tonight, which meant that he was probably going to have to sleep in a guest room.

He continued scrubbing his skin, which was in danger of turning red and peeling until he looked as butler, Hino, walked in.

"Young Master," Hino said, bowing to him.

"Hino, unless you found a way to get this horrid, putrid smell from emanating off of my body, I am not in the mood," Tomi said, very peeved and very upset.

"I have some of the servants going to buy more powders and chemicals, Young Master," Hino explained. "Hopefully, those will be able to help you."

"Good," Tomi said, still scrubbing himself down.

"Also, we have managed to ascertain just where that despicable gift and creature came from."

"Where?" Tomi asked, actually pausing his scrubbing to look at his head butler.

"We aren't 100% sure, but we believe that it was sent somewhere from Shizuoka, Young Master."

At the name of the city, Tomi's eyes grew wide before lowering with a dangerous glint. Only one person in Shizuoka would have been responsible for something like this; a certain woman that he detested, and he knew the feeling was mutual.

"Hino-san," Tomi spoke.

"Yes, Young Master?" Hino answered, bowing once more.

"Do you still have the contact information on that computer specialist group we hired a while back?"

"You mean... Humanity+, Young Master?"

"Get me in touch with them. I have a job for them."

"At once, sir."

Several weeks later in Shizuoka...

"What the hell is this?!"

That was the first thing Reika Aichi had uttered as she checked her bank account to find that not only was she dangerously close to being in the red, but all of her backup accounts were in the same predicament. Apparently, she, or someone else, had signed up for an anonymous mailing list that had completely depleted her savings account.

What was the mailing list called exactly? Well...

As Reika was still processing what was happening, she heard the doorbell to her house ring, which did not help her mood any. Growling, she was prepared to give whoever was on the other side just a taste of her fury. Opening the front door with abandon, she stopped as she found herself staring at a crowd full of middle-aged men wearing nothing but a G-string and a pair of shoes. What really made the scene disturbing is the fact that all of them were holding onto... well, this.

...Yes, Reika Aichi, the socialite of Shizuoka, was now a proud member of Japan's very own club, which was called...

BIG 🐔 Anonymous.

It's true what they say: 'Payback is certainly a you-know-what.'

The day was finally coming to an end in Okinawa. It was also a special day as it was Rashaad Young, Japan’s favorite bartender’s birthday. The man of the hour was getting ready for the evening rush of customers even on his birthday duty called. Then all of a sudden a sharply dressed man with a cane in his hand entered Eagle’s Nest. Rashaad quickly recognized the man as Shinji Aoki, second in command to the Kito-gumi. 

“Rashaad-san,” Shinji bowed, using his cane to help him. “Sorry to bother you before your rush but Sakura and her friends have asked me to deliver you gifts they had all gotten you.” 

Using his cane Shinji tapped the floor, signaling for several men to enter the bar bringing inside several gifts including one in a wooden crate. 

“Now if you excuse us Rashaad. We’ll take our leave now. Have a nice rest of your birthday.” Shinji bowed once again, the men behind him following suit before they all left Eagle’s Nest leaving Rashaad alone. Walking over to the gifts Rashaad picked up the lightest one first and opened it. 

Inside the first box was a record of the song "Axman's Jazz (Don't Scare Me Papa)" a 1919 song by Joseph John Davilla. Rashaad blinked. Wasn't that song inspired by a serial killer? Shaking his head Rashaad picked up the second gift and opened it.

Inside the second gift was a gorgeous glass decanter and matching drinking glasses. Red, orange, green, and blue colored the set making it look beautiful when the sunlight hit them. Placing them to the side Rashaad turned to the final gift. 

Rashaad wondered what someone could've gotten him for it to be in a wooden crate of all things. Knowing he would get any answers unless he opened it Rashaad began to open the crate. Thankfully it didn't take much strength to open it. 

Inside the crate was a wooden pool table. It was gorgeous with the sides of the table expertly carved and a dark emerald cloth that felt soft to the touch. Laying on top of the table were the billiards balls in their rack and matching wooden pool cues. Seeing a note on the pool table as well Rashaad picked it up and began to read. 

“Raashaad,

Happy Birthday. As thanks for letting us into Eagle’s Nest, we've all gotten you a gift. The record is from Kanon, the pool table is from Reika, and the decanter set is from Sakura. Once again Happy Birthday.

In Shizuoka Divison…

“Wait. You actually got Rashaad something too Kanon?” 

“Of course. I’m quite fond of the drinks that he makes. This is just my thanks.”

“Please tell me you got him something normal Kanon. I beg of you.”

“A record.”

“Oh thank god.”

“Okay, that's actually pretty tame.” 

“Why do the two of you think I can't gift someone something nice?”

“Your idea of a nice gift often comes straight out of a horror movie Kanon.”

“That's putting it lightly.”

“My gifts are wonderful.”

“Sentient plant monster.”

“Parasitic flesh-eating bacteria.”

Truthfully, Rashaad wasn't a bit surprised to see Shinji-san. Not that he didn't appreciate the older gentleman's patronage. Believe it or not, Rashaad and Shinji actually had a good relationship with each other. It's just that knowing who Shinji-san worked for, the bar owner assumed that he'd be too busy to stop by, and would have had someone else deliver gifts for him. Gifting him a rare bottle of whiskey before he departed, Rashaad bade the older gentleman an 'until next time' before turning to his gifts.

To say he was surprised at them would be an understatement. Knowing each of the three women of Shizuoka personally, Rashaad did his best to keep them all at arm's length. He was grateful for their patronage, but hearing some of the things about them, he tried to avoid being overly friendly with them. Though they weren't as bad as some of the other customers over the years, he tried to make sure they were as amicable as possible to prevent any... trouble from arising.

Smiling at the glasses the rich socialite, Reika, gave him, Rashaad smiled, placing them in his cupboard, promising to use them only on special occasions. Turning his attention to the pool table, he looked at it, pleased with the gift. He knew Master Ace was an avid pool player, and a couple of other patrons had mentioned before about wanting to play some pool.

"Maybe I'll ask Master Ace for a game when he is free."

Looking at the last gift, the record Kanon gave him, Rashaad, though a bit skeptical, decided to give it a play, inserting the disc into his jukebox. Listening to the first few seconds, a smile plastered onto the bar owner's face. A spooky undertone could be heard as the music blasted out of the machine.

"Maybe I should use this for Halloween night in a few months..."

"...I get the same scent from this woman that I get from the woman scientist from Shinagawa. The only difference is... this woman reeks less of malice and more of insanity. I know that she is only the second one we've met, but I can't help but wonder if all Chuohku scientists are like her. ...Well, I say Chuohku, but it seems like she is no longer affiliated with them. Still, that doesn't exactly paint her in a good light. What's more, for some reason, Yorii seems to have an intense disliking for her? I wonder why..."

"I've heard of this woman, or at least, I've seen her on the news. She's apparently been married five times. And each time, all of her husbands have mysteriously wound up died within a year's time. ...It's quite obvious that she has killed each of them. Even if I didn't spell the blood of her victims on her, I can easily see inside that she isn't plagued with guilt for their deaths. On the contrary, she is quite happy that each of them are dead. I imagine that her joy comes from the amount of money that accumulates with each death. ...Oh well, it's got little to do with me. My only hope is that she doesn't set her sights on Yorii. ...For both of their sakes..."

"The new head of the Kito-gumi, from what I've heard. Honestly, I've had to deal with a few henchmen from that family. Back when the old leader was in charge, the Kito-gumi kept to their own. But ever since this new leader has taken control, they've started expanding their influence."

"This woman... she fills me with the same dread that I got from the scientist woman from one of the teams here in Minato. Like I mentioned with her, are all the women from Chuohku like this? This is exactly why I want nothing to do with the government. If this woman is how people turn out after joining them, then I want nothing at all to do with them. I want nothing at all stripping me of what makes me, me."

Reika Aichi

"I know Mireya is good friends with Reika, and I am quite happy to see that they are doing good work for the young women of this country. But... I do not trust this woman, at all. I've heard from many sources that her wealth wasn't earned the "right" way. In fact, some of it is, shall we, quite 'dirty'. This is all hearsay, of course, so I don't know if it is at all true. However, I'll say this and leave it alone: money, as good as it is, cannot wash away blood."

Kito Sakura

"...I know my son loves to live on the edge, but even I have to wonder just what he's thinking hanging around Yakuza for. When he told me he was dating a woman from the Kito-gumi, I was, for lack of a better word, floored. But Zakari is a grown man and he's quite capable of making his own decisions, even if I think he doesn't give enough thought to them. ...Either way, as I stated, it's his life. All I can do is just support and love him."

*Sighs* "Far be it for me to judge what my family does in their spare time, but for the life of me, I'll never understand why they insist on going to Shizuoka so much. Maybe it's because I haven't interacted with anyone from this team, but they don't exactly fill me with the best of intentions. If it's not Hojo's disregard for human life, it's Reika's greed, or Sakura's criminal reputation. ...I'll say this, if any harm comes to my family and they are responsible, intentional or not, they won't get away with it."

"Hmm... curious. Never did I think I'd find a dark spirit that closely resembles Okada from Shinagawa. I do know not whether Chuohku is to blame for her current predicament, or if this is who she truly is and it just took her "accident" to get her to show her true self. But this woman here... I can tell that despite her atrocities, she truthfully regrets the atrocities that she has committed."

"But she doesn't need to fret. The fact that she regrets her foolish actions shows that there may still be hope for her troubled and pitiful soul. She simply needs to repent for her sins, and the light of God will shine down on her. Better she does it sooner rather than later, less the door that leads to Heaven is forever shut for her. I shall have to see if she can be brought before me. After all, her mind must be easy to control seeing as how one accident changed her..."

Reika Aichi

"The daughter of a harlot. ...Truthfully, I do not begrudge her mother's upbringing. The poor woman, whose body was corrupted and her soul filled with the awfulness of sin, was forced to dirty herself to provide for herself and her child. If anything, I blame the men who laid with her. They chose to waste their wealth on a woman who has been with another. Saddening, truly saddening. ...But as stated, I do not hold the daughter in contempt of her mother's actions. No, not at all."

"...Rather, my contempt for this woman is the fact that she lies, cheats, and steals from those simply to line her own pockets. Marriage is a sacred thing in the eyes of the Lord. "Ah, the head of the Kito-gumi. Normally, I'd have no quarrel with her seeing as how the Yakuza and I have a... relationship with one another. Her father and I had a very good relationship with each other. That sadly came to an end when she killed him, however. I bore her no ill will, of course. In fact, I wanted to continue the relationship between our two groups, but she refused, not wanting to do work with anyone who was a friend of her father. So, we agreed that our gangs wouldn't get in each other's way. She'd leave Ginza alone, and I agreed not to intrude upon her business in Shizuoka. And for a while, that held up. But..."

"...That "deal" sadly came to an end when I received word that some Kito-gumi were here in Ginza. And they weren't here for a confession, I'm afraid. No... they chose to bother some of the good people here. My people, in order to expand their influence. So, seeing as how Sakura wasn't going to uphold her end of the deal, I felt no need to do the same. I sent some of my men and Juu to deal with the interlopers. The fools were easily captured, and Juu asked if she could have them. And what kind of Father would I be if I didn't let my dear sweet daughter have some fun now and then?"

"She spent the better part of the day "playing" with Sakura's men. And when she was done, I had their bodies dumped on the outskirts of Shizuoka for someone to find. I suspect that won't make Sakura very happy, but I'm sure she will be fine. God forgives all who forgive themselves, after all." Masa laughs at this.

"I question whether this team or Shinagawa is more deserving of our attention. Both have figures trapped in the darkness. But currently, I feel that dealing with Shizuoka would be more rewarding. Shinagawa is not going anywhere, but Shizuoka... their sins have gone unpunished for too long. And it is up to the people of Ginza and Last Judgment to send the Lord's vengeance down upon their foolish heads. Prepare yourselves, Shizuoka. For I promise you this, that tragedy that befalls you... it will be anything but silent." Masa laughs again as he departs into the shadows.

How do you stand to wear this Yano? …Yano?

“Kanon Hojo, female, 29 years of age, known moniker is Mz. Hyde, head of the Shizuoka Division and active leader of rap group Silent Tragedy, members are 2nd Member Socialite Reika Aichi and 3rd Member Yakuza Leader Sakura Kito.”

It was silent for a moment before a scoff was heard. “This specimen…between her and Kuromiya from Minato, I can’t tell which gave Chuuoku and by extension me more trouble, both of them are idiotic, so consumed with themselves that they didn’t even pay attention to their surroundings nor the circumstances they were in, it made getting rid of the both of them far to easy, at least before, she knew well to keep to herself and not bother me but ever since she volunteered to be a guinea pig to for the prototype of the true Hypnosis Microphone, she had become a pain to deal with, if I’m being frank, I’d say she got exactly what was coming to her, only an absolute fool would believe that working with Amayado and his cursed microphones would be do anything good, you might as well just signed your own death warrant.” The tone of her voice was cold, unfeeling, and just a tad bit spiteful.

“That was only the beginning however, things truly went to hell when people from the different departments started to go missing, people had thought that I had something to do with it, which is just insulting and even if I had I wouldn’t be nearly as obvious and sloppy as Hojo but I knew who the true culprit was, it didn’t take a genius to know either, it was so painfully obvious I’m surprised Tohoten didn’t notice earlier, perhaps if she did, we could have saved so much more time and resources but I digress. I turned her in and requested for her termination, it was granted and the clones were dispatched to take her out.” There was a sigh of exasperation.

“I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised to have found what was left of their bodies the next day, I noticed that there seems to be a theme with explosives with those that were…let go, dramatic but effective, unfortunately. That was the last time any of us had seen of her but I had been keeping tabs on any suspicious activity in any of the divisions and immediately Shizuoka had become number one on the list, not only had any and all influence Chuuoku had in the city had been annihilated but there had been reports of bodies being found in the less than savory areas of the city…well, what was left of the bodies anyhow, now with her return, there has been quite an uproar over here, Kadenokoji has given the order to terminate on sight should any of us face her.”

Reika Aichi

“Reika Aichi, female, 28 years of age, known moniker is Belladonna, part of the Shizuoka Division and active member of rap group Silent Tragedy, members are Leader Kanon Hojo and 3rd Member Yakuza Leader Sakura Kito. I’ll admit, this specimen has peaked my interest, having started out as a child of a prostitute, she has become the most wealthy and influential person in Shizuoka, single-handedly manipulating the upper class into obeying her and convincing the public to be on her side, it’s quite impressive. There seems to be mixed opinions of her, despite the fact that she is responsible for each of her husband’s deaths, some people hold her to high regard. Her extensive knowledge of poisons also interests me, however, given her involvement with Specimen Hojo and her dislike for Chuuoku, it’s best to proceed with caution and dispatch her swiftly and quickly.”

Sakura Kito

“Sakura Kito, female, 28 years of age, known moniker is Renegade, part of the Shizuoka Division and active member of rap group Silent Tragedy, members are Leader Kanon Hojo and 2nd Member Socialite Reika Aichi. Much like the previous specimen, this one is one of the most powerful people in Shizuoka due to her role as leader of the Kito-gumi, a Yakuza clan that’s steadily growing in numbers and power ever since their…change in leadership. Already, she has complete control over Shizuoka’s underground society and has authority over every police station in the city, she is just as feared as much as she is respected and resources have shared of her plans to expand her influence outside of Shizuoka with very mixed results. As such, she is considered dangerous and a threat and the order has been given to take her out as soon as possible.”

Silent Tragedy

“Shizuoka Division, Silent Tragedy is a team that I will admit has peaked my interest, especially with their leader coming out of whatever hole she hid herself in. Both Tohoten and Kadenokoji have given the order to all Chuuoku teams to proceed with caution with this group and that should any of us face them in battle, we should dispose of them as quick as we can.” There was a sigh of exasperation. “This entire situation is growing tedious, truly, it astounds me how incompetent The Party of Words has become since it’s foundation, if somehow we all get through this, I’ll be having a personal word with Tohoten.”

The day was finally coming to an end in Toyama. One Yano Ietsuna was in his home spending his birthday relaxing. That's why it came as a surprise when he heard the front door ring. Walking over he opened the door to reveal a sharply dressed man with several scars across his face. 

"Y-yes?" Yano stutters horrified to see a member of the yakuza at his front door.

“A gift from the Boss.” the man answers holding out and giving Yano a package before nodding his head and leaving. Walking back inside Yano walked over to the kitchen before placing the item on the counter. Yano stared at the package afraid to find out what was inside. Gathering his courage Yano slowly opened the package. 

Inside was a gold star-shaped pendant with a green stone in it alongside a leather cord bracelet with a similar star on it. Seeing an envelope underneath gifts Yano grabbed it and began reading

“Dear Yano,

I was told it was your birthday. Don't ask how I have my ways. As for your gift, I was gifted these a while back but they are not my style. So when I learned it was your birthday I decided to send you these as I believe they would suit you far better than me. Happy Birthday, Yano. Try not to get into too much trouble.

“Wait you sent Yano a gift?”

“Yes, Reika I did.”

“How much you wanna bet he started crying when he realized who it was from?”

“That's a sucker’s bet and you know it.”

“I’m well aware the two of you love tormenting him but can we continue with the horror movie? I wish to continue criticizing how they got the gore wrong.”

From the moment the heavily scarred man arrived at his door, Yano knew there was only one person who could have given him the box. So, after he slammed his front door, took the time to calm himself, and open the gift with shaking hands, he was surprised to find himself admiring the gifts thoroughly. The letter not so much, hating that Kito family’s leader was right: These accessories really were exactly what Yano liked.

“Didn’t want them, huh? Sorry to whoever gave these to Sakura…” Yano frowns, knowing how cruel Sakura could be. Taking the golden chain into his hand, he looked at the craftsmanship of the pendant, focusing most of his attention on looking at the gemstone set in the center of it. “How can she give these away though? These look like real gemstones. Did she really just get them as a gift and tossed them to me instead?”

Pausing for a moment Yano took in the fact Sakura had it delivered by one of her men (a scary one in Yano’s opinion), in a package with a letter written by her personally, containing what is obviously very expensive jewelry all for Yano. Putting that together, Yano cried out in dread while he dropped the chain and his head straight into his counter. “Don’t tell me she’s actually trying to make mark me as her personal pet?!”

Unfortunately for Yano, the rest of his night was plagued with nightmares, his dreams flip-flopping between him acting as a pathetic little dog doing tricks for Sakura or being bossed around by the yakuza head as an errand boy. All while the necklace and bracelet lay atop his dresser mixed together with his other accessories.

“A… An evil scientist? For real?! I-I mean, ahem! Fear not dear audience! There was a reason I was called to compete in the D.R.B., I knew it! What sort of evil is this Kanon though? An insane scientist, like Doctor Kemp or maybe Doctor Man? Now that think about it, there are a lot of crazy scientists in shows… Wonder why that is? T-There’s no point getting distracted now! I can’t wait to go against a mad doctor! Mz. Hyde, we will take you down, no matter the cost! Justice will prevail!”

Reika Aichi

“It’s the wicked woman! My brothers told me she’s an evil enchantress who tries to marry the rich to kill them! She tried to seduce my dad even! Thankfully my brothers scared her off. Well, that’s what they all said, but Kenshin told me that learning about how many sons dad has put her off. But that doesn’t matter! She better not get any ideas and try to target my family! I, the great Paladin will protect my dad and brothers from the terrible evil. Prepare yourself, witch! I will defeat you, no matter the cost!”

Sakura Kito

“Yakuza boss? Normally I’d like to try and be more neutral before making quick judgments on mobsters. Plus, it doesn’t help Sakura that her two teammates are on the side of darkness�� It’s harsh, but I must be swift in my ruling and decree Sakura as a villain too! No good person would associate themselves with two beings of evil. So, unfortunately, we are enemies Sakura Kito! You must go down with your mad doctor and witchy accomplice!”
