The day was finally coming to an end in Okinawa. It was also a special day as it was Rashaad Young, Japan’s favorite bartender’s birthday. The man of the hour was getting ready for the evening rush of customers even on his birthday duty called. Then all of a sudden a sharply dressed man with a cane in his hand entered Eagle’s Nest. Rashaad quickly recognized the man as Shinji Aoki, second in command to the Kito-gumi. 

“Rashaad-san,” Shinji bowed, using his cane to help him. “Sorry to bother you before your rush but Sakura and her friends have asked me to deliver you gifts they had all gotten you.” 

Using his cane Shinji tapped the floor, signaling for several men to enter the bar bringing inside several gifts including one in a wooden crate. 

“Now if you excuse us Rashaad. We’ll take our leave now. Have a nice rest of your birthday.” Shinji bowed once again, the men behind him following suit before they all left Eagle’s Nest leaving Rashaad alone. Walking over to the gifts Rashaad picked up the lightest one first and opened it. 

Inside the first box was a record of the song "Axman's Jazz (Don't Scare Me Papa)" a 1919 song by Joseph John Davilla. Rashaad blinked. Wasn't that song inspired by a serial killer? Shaking his head Rashaad picked up the second gift and opened it.

Inside the second gift was a gorgeous glass decanter and matching drinking glasses. Red, orange, green, and blue colored the set making it look beautiful when the sunlight hit them. Placing them to the side Rashaad turned to the final gift. 

Rashaad wondered what someone could've gotten him for it to be in a wooden crate of all things. Knowing he would get any answers unless he opened it Rashaad began to open the crate. Thankfully it didn't take much strength to open it. 

Inside the crate was a wooden pool table. It was gorgeous with the sides of the table expertly carved and a dark emerald cloth that felt soft to the touch. Laying on top of the table were the billiards balls in their rack and matching wooden pool cues. Seeing a note on the pool table as well Rashaad picked it up and began to read. 

“Raashaad,

Happy Birthday. As thanks for letting us into Eagle’s Nest, we've all gotten you a gift. The record is from Kanon, the pool table is from Reika, and the decanter set is from Sakura. Once again Happy Birthday.

In Shizuoka Divison…

“Wait. You actually got Rashaad something too Kanon?” 

“Of course. I’m quite fond of the drinks that he makes. This is just my thanks.”

“Please tell me you got him something normal Kanon. I beg of you.”

“A record.”

“Oh thank god.”

“Okay, that's actually pretty tame.” 

“Why do the two of you think I can't gift someone something nice?”

“Your idea of a nice gift often comes straight out of a horror movie Kanon.”

“That's putting it lightly.”

“My gifts are wonderful.”

“Sentient plant monster.”

“Parasitic flesh-eating bacteria.”

Truthfully, Rashaad wasn't a bit surprised to see Shinji-san. Not that he didn't appreciate the older gentleman's patronage. Believe it or not, Rashaad and Shinji actually had a good relationship with each other. It's just that knowing who Shinji-san worked for, the bar owner assumed that he'd be too busy to stop by, and would have had someone else deliver gifts for him. Gifting him a rare bottle of whiskey before he departed, Rashaad bade the older gentleman an 'until next time' before turning to his gifts.

To say he was surprised at them would be an understatement. Knowing each of the three women of Shizuoka personally, Rashaad did his best to keep them all at arm's length. He was grateful for their patronage, but hearing some of the things about them, he tried to avoid being overly friendly with them. Though they weren't as bad as some of the other customers over the years, he tried to make sure they were as amicable as possible to prevent any... trouble from arising.

Smiling at the glasses the rich socialite, Reika, gave him, Rashaad smiled, placing them in his cupboard, promising to use them only on special occasions. Turning his attention to the pool table, he looked at it, pleased with the gift. He knew Master Ace was an avid pool player, and a couple of other patrons had mentioned before about wanting to play some pool.

"Maybe I'll ask Master Ace for a game when he is free."

Looking at the last gift, the record Kanon gave him, Rashaad, though a bit skeptical, decided to give it a play, inserting the disc into his jukebox. Listening to the first few seconds, a smile plastered onto the bar owner's face. A spooky undertone could be heard as the music blasted out of the machine.

"Maybe I should use this for Halloween night in a few months..."

Mina's Thoughts on Shizuoka Division

Kanon Hojo

"...I get the same scent from this woman that I get from the woman scientist from Shinagawa. The only difference is... this woman reeks less of malice and more of insanity. I know that she is only the second one we've met, but I can't help but wonder if all Chuohku scientists are like her. ...Well, I say Chuohku, but it seems like she is no longer affiliated with them. Still, that doesn't exactly paint her in a good light. What's more, for some reason, Yorii seems to have an intense disliking for her? I wonder why..."

"Peh, it doesn't matter one bit if this insane bitch is no longer affiliated with Chuohku. The fact that she has worked with them proves that she is guilty by association. And if I find out that she has done anything to Yorii, she will pay for it."

Reika Aichi

"I've heard of this woman, or at least, I've seen her on the news. She's apparently been married five times. And each time, all of her husbands have mysteriously wound up died within a year's time. ...It's quite obvious that she has killed each of them. Even if I didn't spell the blood of her victims on her, I can easily see inside that she isn't plagued with guilt for their deaths. On the contrary, she is quite happy that each of them are dead. I imagine that her joy comes from the amount of money that accumulates with each death. ...Oh well, it's got little to do with me. My only hope is that she doesn't set her sights on Yorii. ...For both of their sakes..."

Kito Sakura

"The new head of the Kito-gumi, from what I've heard. Honestly, I've had to deal with a few henchmen from that family. Back when the old leader was in charge, the Kito-gumi kept to their own. But ever since this new leader has taken control, they've started expanding their influence."

"This bitch must have gotten a big head after she took control of her family. She thinks that now that she's in charge, all of the surrounding area belongs to her and her family. Well here's a newsflash for you, lady: Setagaya is my fucking territory! Keep your little goons and whoever out of it, understand?! Cause if I see them around here again, I might start getting a craving for Kito-gumi blood! It may not taste well, but it'll certainly fill me up!"

"If not for the inclusion of that scientist woman, this team probably wouldn't be so intimidating. But... I think she rounds out the creepiness and intimidating factor that this group has. If we go against them, I think she may wind up being the most trouble. ...Truthfully, I'd rather not go against them at all, but..."

"Not go against them?! Are you fucking kidding me?! This team seems scary, but they're just like every other team in this fucking tournament! It doesn't matter how scary you think you are. In the end, all that matters is whose raps are better, and whose the last one standing. And I promise you, that will be me!"

Meanwhile, Aranai was getting a gift of her own. Shisha Heisha was about to get one herself.  She had just finished praying for today’s occasion when she heard a knock at the door. Approaching it, Shisuta opened it a peek. Only to find a package addressed to her.  Picking it up, she brought it inside to open it.

Inside was a collection of candles and a vase of flowers. There were peonies, violets, and hydrangeas that matched the selects on the candles. Seeing a note inside the box, Shisuta picked it up and began to read. 

Heisha,

 Merry Christmas. You were hard to pick a gift for.

Shisuta was quite shocked to see gifts from the Yakuza member. The two, unfortunately, did not have a good relationship after Shisuta was forced to call her friend, Kisouna, to have them arrested after they had were harassing the customers in the flower shop she worked in. She didn't want to resort to violence, so she had asked them kindly to leave. When they refused, the nun was left with no other option but to call the local authorities to have them apprehended, which no doubt put a dour look on their relationship. She had also heard from Luis in Aoyama that they had tried to do the same thing to his restaurant. So you can imagine why Shisuta was so shocked.

Still, the gift was nice, and she did not have to go out of her way to send them. So for Sakura to do so, was a kind gesture. The nun took the gifts she had sent, all the while praying that someday the Yakuza member would open her eyes and realize she didn't have to resort to crime or intimidation to get things done.

"This woman... she fills me with the same dread that I got from the scientist woman from one of the teams here in Minato. Like I mentioned with her, are all the women from Chuohku like this? This is exactly why I want nothing to do with the government. If this woman is how people turn out after joining them, then I want nothing at all to do with them. I want nothing at all stripping me of what makes me, me."

Reika Aichi

"I know Mireya is good friends with Reika, and I am quite happy to see that they are doing good work for the young women of this country. But... I do not trust this woman, at all. I've heard from many sources that her wealth wasn't earned the "right" way. In fact, some of it is, shall we, quite 'dirty'. This is all hearsay, of course, so I don't know if it is at all true. However, I'll say this and leave it alone: money, as good as it is, cannot wash away blood."

Kito Sakura

"...I know my son loves to live on the edge, but even I have to wonder just what he's thinking hanging around Yakuza for. When he told me he was dating a woman from the Kito-gumi, I was, for lack of a better word, floored. But Zakari is a grown man and he's quite capable of making his own decisions, even if I think he doesn't give enough thought to them. ...Either way, as I stated, it's his life. All I can do is just support and love him."

*Sighs* "Far be it for me to judge what my family does in their spare time, but for the life of me, I'll never understand why they insist on going to Shizuoka so much. Maybe it's because I haven't interacted with anyone from this team, but they don't exactly fill me with the best of intentions. If it's not Hojo's disregard for human life, it's Reika's greed, or Sakura's criminal reputation. ...I'll say this, if any harm comes to my family and they are responsible, intentional or not, they won't get away with it."

Keiko's Thoughts on Shizuoka Division

Hojo Kanon

Keiko frowns at the photo of the deranged Chuohku scientist. "I don't know who this woman is exactly, but according to Nemu-san, she used to serve Chuohku, but an accident involving the Hypnosis Microphone did something to her. Before long, she was involved in several disappearances with some of the staff here. It's a shame she escaped, but Otome-sama and Ichijiku-san have made her a top priority to bring her back to them, dead or alive. I'll try not to kill her, but I'll gladly bring her back to them. Women like her don't deserve to do what they do and still be around."

Aichi Reika

Like the woman before her, the manga artist frowns deeply at the photo of the disgraced socialite. "This woman may be the woman whom I despise most out of this team. I don't necessarily agree with the rich, but having this woman expelled from Aoyama may have the best thing they could have done. I mean really, how has the police not caught this woman by now? It's quite obvious she's a dirty wench who only marries men for their money, and then kills them. She's a disgrace to women everywhere, and gives us all a bad name! I suppose its no surprise that she's on good terms with my mother. Between the two of them, I have trouble figuring out who I despise more..."

Kito Sakura

"Argh, another Yakuza member? It's bad enough we have to deal with Samatoki and his horrible Katen family. Dealing with this woman and her Kito-gumi is the last thing Chuohku needs to deal with right now. It's a shame that Nemu-san is so busy with her work. If she weren't, I'd have requested that we'd go to Shizuoka and eliminate this woman and the rest of her lackeys. Oh well, maybe someday..."

"I am very glad that Otome-sama and Ichijiku-san put a red flag on this team. It's unknown how they acquired Hypnosis Mics, but the two of them have ordered that this team be eliminated before they can infiltrate the D.R.B., which I have no issue with! I'm going to enjoy hurting all three of them, especially that 'Belladonna' wench! Anyone, be they man or woman, who does what she does, deserves the highest punishment possible!"

“She looks dangerous! Granted from what Mari says about her…she is dangerous!” Kyoko blinks “I wonder what made her into what she is today…she must have been hurt pretty badly”

Reika Aichi

“Aichi-san is a very pretty woman” Kyoko smiles “I hear…she lost quite a few husbands to some unfortunate circumstances”

Her eyes darken “They probably deserved to die…maybe they were scum” she mutters

Her tone quickly changes back to a happy one

“I dunno much about her though! She’s more than welcome at the shrine if she wants to visit”

Sakura Kito

“I like her! She stops by Mari’s shop a lot!” Kyoko grins “Also…she kinda helped out Rinko back when something really bad happened in Shizuoka”

“Rinko and I got separated, I was worried about her being alone because of what happened last time…she tends to get scared real easily” she explains “Next thing you know, I’m in the hospital telling Rinko about how this weird dude knocked her out and this woman stepped in to help her”

“I like to think we could be on alright terms with this division!” Kyoko leans back in her chair “Mari seems to like talking to Sakura and Reika so that’s a plus!”

Sanyu visibly shakes at the photo of the former Chuohku scientist. "This woman... she reminds me so much of that scientist from... Shinagawa. That automatically makes me not like her..." Sanyu feels a buzzing in her head and clenches her head before getting up and leaving.

Aichi Reika

"...So... this woman has apparently been married five times? ...Damn. Most people these days only have one spouse to upset. ...But still, it's kind of obvious she's responsible for her husbands' deaths. I mean, the fact that's rolling in dough should be a big clue. ...But hey, it's none of my business. She can do whatever she wants."

Kito Sakura

"I've never met this woman, but I have heard about her back when I was doing small jobs for the Katen family in Yokohama. Apparently, she was part of a group called the... Kito-gumi, right? Yeah, I think that's it. Anyway, ever since she's taken control, her group has given the Katen family some trouble. ...Oh well. It's got nothing to do with me. I don't work for the Yakuza anymore, so if they want to duke it out with each other, they can go right ahead. Just tell me when they're fighting so I can bring some popcorn and a drink."

"I remember this woman. I recall seeing her back when I was... imprisoned in the labs. She seemed... nice. She cared for those of us who experiments more than most scientists did. ...At least until something occurred that caused her to change, not only physically, but mentally as well. She became like the rest of the scientists, not caring about... the pain..." Kaori rubs her arms as goosebumps appear on her skin.

"...I later heard she was sent away from Chuohku. I never thought she'd appear again like this. ...I hate to admit it, but... she scares me. Not because of her appearance, but... because I'm afraid that someday... she may become my future..." Kaori rubs her arms again, as she looks away from the screen.

Aichi Reika

"I recall this lady. I think... I think she sat in the front row during one of my shows. She seemed like a proper woman, but... I could sense something darker and colder inside of her. From what I've heard, she was married and widowed five times. All of her husbands died under... 'mysterious circumstances.'" Kaori looks off to the side, worried.

"I've heard rumors that... she is personally responsible for each of their deaths. I don't know whether it's true or not, but... if it is, then... a future in Chuohku may not be too far off for her..."

Kito Sakura

"I've never met this woman... and I'm not sad about that. I dislike trouble, and engaging one who is part of the... Yakuza seems to bring nothing but that. She seems strong and powerful. A part of me envies her, but... another part of me is glad that I'm not her."

"I do not know why the Prime Minister has sent this team, who is lead by a former scientist, Hypnosis Microphones. I... I do not think they acquired the HypMics by legal means. I... I only hope that we do not have to face them... at least not right away..."

"...It's not often I agree with Chuohku on most things. In fact, there's hardly anything that we see eye-to-eye on. ...But excommunicating this lady might have quite possibly been the best thing that they have ever done. I'd liken her appearance to that of Ritsuko-san's from Shinagawa. In fact, if it weren't for the fact that I know who they are, I'd say they could be sisters. Suffice to say, I'm not eager to be in the same room with this woman any longer than necessary."

Aichi Reika

"Reika Aichi. Would you believe me if I said that I was actually hired to assassinate this woman once? After the death of her fifth husband, someone put out a contract for her, due to him having a number of influential partners and associates. I didn't really care for the money, but I took the job anyway; only because, while I sympathized with her childhood, that didn't excuse the murder of the rest of her spouses.

"Unfortunately, before I could complete it, I heard that she was run out of Aoyama by the rest of the socialites living there. Afterwards, she went into hiding. I could have easily hunted her down, but the Organization stated that the embarrassment she suffered was punishment enough. I didn't agree at the time, but I guess they had a point."

Kito Sakura

"It's not often when you hear the word 'Yakuza' that you think of any other family save the Katen family that's situated in Yokohama. The Kito-gumi, though they had a reputation, weren't enough of a threat for the Organization to take notice of." Ryūzō looks at the photo of the Yakuza leader. "Apparently, they underestimated them. Ever since this woman took control after the deaths of her father and brothers, the Kito-gumi has slowly spread their influence throughout Japan.

"Fortunately, they've had the good sense to not try anything here in Sendai. I'd rather not have to use my... former skills if I can help it."

"Silent Tragedy... I wonder if the name has to do more with the victims of these women than the women themselves. I understand each of them have suffered, but spreading misery to unto others does not seem like a healthy way to cope. In any case, it'll be interesting to see just how far a team like this goes. I have to wonder how they'll cooperate with each other..."

Asato’s Thoughts on Shizuoka Division

Hojo Kanon

“Hojo-san is someone I’m not familiar with�� But then again, it says she hides away in Shizuoka from the government, so I don’t think anyone really knows her. I guess I relate… I prefer solitude, although I don’t mind seeing my friends like Yano or even Yumeno sensei. Still, it does make me worried, I guess, that everyone calls her crazy. I don’t think a person can really be that bad, can they? Besides, how can anyone say that sort of thing without meeting her at all?”

Aichi Reika

“Aichi… Aichi… I feel like I’ve seen her name before. Not sure where but… It shouldn’t be a surprise. Our merchandise is popular with rich folks like her, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if we have worked with her for an event or something. Still… I guess she looks nice. Can’t help feeling like something is a little off about her smile though. Just a gut instinct, I think.”

Kito Sakura

“Yakuza… As long as they mind their own business, I have no problems with them. And I don’t think Kito-san is as foolish as the other gangsters who have tried to antagonize my family's work. So… I think she would be okay to meet and talk with, as long as she isn’t too loud and aggressive. I don’t want to tire myself out trying to deal with that kind of energy.”

“Everyone seems to have it out for this team… How can they say that when the whole team has the same goals as most of them? Not that I really care about the government and this tournament that much, but wouldn’t you want help with a common goal? It’s a bother to deal with the complexities in between… As long as everyone has the same aim, I think they should give these Silent Tragedy ladies a chance. Team together and take down the villain… Or whatever.”

We’ve searched high and low throughout Japan to find the very best, the crème de la crème of each and every Division had to offer and we certainly weren’t disappointed with the line up we have and something tells us you aren’t going to be either once we reveal who our couples for this competition are. The couples and contestants for the 2024 Mr. and Mrs. HypMic Couples' Pageant are...

1. "Up next, we have, perhaps, the youngest couple in this competition. Both women have only been dating for approximately a year now, but that doesn't take away the love and care they have for each other! They've been friends for far longer than that, and both know each other inside and out! We'll see if that knowledge, and their young age and cuteness takes them far in this couples' pageant! Please welcome, the popular YouTuber with hundreds and thousands of fans, Criss "Paradox" Hiromi of Akihabara, and her partner, the first-ever winner of the Ms. HypMic Pageant, 2023's most beautiful and talented woman in all of Japan, Kanade "Spooky" Alarie of Kyoto!"

"Next up, we have perhaps the most hot-blooded duo in all of this competition. ...Well, I say 'hot-blooded', but really, these contestants are actually fairly level-headed... so long as you don't say or do anything to piss them off! One is a dedicated officer of truth and justice, while the other is not afraid to bend the rules behind her computer screen! Despite that, they've managed to both catch each other's eye and have been in a "not-so secret" relationship with one another ever since! They've got knowledge in various departments, but will that knowledge help them both in this competition? We'll find out! 4. "This next... well, no offense, but can they really be called a "couple"? Because, and I say this as nicely as I can, but their relationship seems more in-tune with a master and a servant. ...And seeing as how one of the contestants has a leash around his neck, well... I don't think I'm too far off the mark. ...But in any case, perhaps they may surprise us! And if not... well, I'm certain we'll get a good laugh out of them anyway! "Another ex-Chuohku scientist. With how many of their women they seem to either try to get rid of or how many of them leave, it's a wonder that their government hasn't collapsed yet. "I've met this woman a few times at some of the galas I've had to participate here in Japan, per my father's orders. I don't like associating with her any more than I have to. Why? Aside from the fact that I don't like the vibes she gives off, I've heard more than a few rumors concerning this woman. Mainly the ones about how she's been married five times and how each one of her spouses always seems to die under "mysterious circumstances". And with each death, she seems to steadily get richer. How she hasn't been arrested yet is beyond me. But considering her wealth and connections, I'm guessing she has someone high up the food chain in her back pocket. Just goes to show, no matter where you go in the world, corruption still exists."

Kito Sakura

"Like the previous woman, I met this one at a gala as well. Just from glancing at her, I knew she wasn't a morally-upright character. How did I know? Well, the men who walked in after her wearing dark suits and glasses with barely concealed weapons was sort of a hint. I have to admit, I never thought I'd see a woman leading the Yakuza. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course. But it just goes to show that for her to reach such a position, she had to kill before. And something tells me that she'd gladly do it again in a heartbeat."

Kanon Hojo

"This woman... she's just like the one from Shinagawa. But... l-like Mina stated, she seems a bit more... unhinged. Like, something happened in her life that caused her to... lose what little s-sanity that she had left, and there's n-no way to reclaim it. I don't know what has happened to her, but... Yorii told me and Mina to not underestimate her. It w-w-was the first time in a long time I've seen him so serious. ...But then again, he does always g-get serious whenever the subject involves C-Chuohku..."

Reika Aichi

"I've heard of her. She's a rich socialite, which is kind of odd since I know that many socialites frequent Aoyama. But it seems she left there years before and relocated to Shizuoka. She seems nice, but Mina tells me to watch out for her, cause she's not all that she appears to be. I don't normally pay much attention to hearsay, but... I have heard some rumors about this woman that doesn't exactly make her seem all that benevolent. I don't know if they're true or not, but... well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see for myself."

Kito Sakura

Unlike the other two women, Elliot actually looks serious as he speaks of the Kito-gumi figurehead.

"I don't normally judge people before I've met them, but... I don't really care for this woman or what she does. I know she works as the leader of a Yakuza family, and I don't want anything to do with her. The reason? Because recently, on the news, it was reported that the police managed to arrest a group of individuals with ties to the Yakuza. Normally, that wouldn't do much to bother me. But... what the news revealed afterwards was that the Yakuza were involved in animal trafficking. They had captured more than a dozen exotic animals and were planning to sell that off to the highest bidders."

"When the news showed pictures of those animals and the conditions they were living in... I felt my heart literally crying. So suffice to say, I don't care for anyone who in the Yakuza. It's bad when you hurt other humans, but hurting animals is something I can't forgive or forget."

"I get a bad feeling from all of these women. I suppose it only makes sense that they banded together, I guess. I mean, bad usually attracts more bad, so... yeah. I don't really mind Aichi-san, and Hojo-san... as long as I stay f-f-from her, I'll be fine. But Sakura-san... I don't like her, plain and simple. Like I said, anyone who does anything to harm animals is evil in my eyes. And she and other families that make money off of trafficking animals and selling them off... they are wrong, and don't deserve to exist."

Hojo Kanon

“One can’t help but assume that perhaps something went awry during Hojo’s time with Chuuoku. Because for someone to be born with a lack of empathy for human life is hard to imagine… If it weren’t for her history, I would almost feel pity for her, but I don’t think I could spare that sort of effort for a madwoman like her.”

“And as much as I sympathize with her goals for entering the D.R.B., I can’t find any sort of agreement with the things she does and thinks. Fighting her sounds like a useless endeavor as well, so it may be in our team’s best interest to avoid contacting her in any shape or form.”

Aichi Reika

“My dear brother may call her a gold-digger, but I’d prefer to use the term, opportunistic leech. Taking opportunity isn’t necessarily wrong. I myself, love to take the most inconvenient moments to take people by surprise, whether that is surprising my students with a question, to confusing people in debates, or taking advantage of others to help a situation. And I’d like to think that when I do this, I’m not doing it for a selfish reason. My goal is to help others in the long term. If I can help mold the next history major or political figure, it would mean a lot to me and the future generations.”

“That said, getting connections with the rich to boost your position in society is not wrong as an opportunist. Leeching off of others for their money by seducing then murdering them, however, is shameful. For this Reika woman to do it five times is really appalling. If the court of law is so incompetent as to not recognize her scale of crimes and take control of the situation? Much less, how could they allow her to participate in a wide-scale publicized competition? The fact I’ve had to review this woman has been an unpleasant task. I hope that we never have to be tainted by her presence.”

“It’s not like myself to say this, but this woman is probably the most tolerable of the three team members. No doubt, I don’t condone the criminal actions of the yakuza, but I will always have that hint of respect for these groups when it comes to rebelling against the government when the right moment strikes.”

Both from what Ryuko had told me before he retired and from my own moments of witnessing these types of gangs tells me that avoiding a woman of her caliber is best for my safety. “If there is any group I’d like to avoid, this would be the one. Not only would it prove to be a fruitless effort for us to take them on, but it could only end in a tragedy… Much like their name suggests. Aside from the money and territory prizes, we wouldn’t gain a lot from trying to battle them. It will take some effort for me, but I should try and convince my team to avoid charging after them… For the sake of our energy and sanity.”

"One thing about me that you may not know is that I'll never judge a person based on their friends or the company they keep. ...But even after years of knowing her, I have to wonder how exactly Reika and this woman met, much less befriended each other. I've had the unfortunate opportunity to make this woman's acquaintance once when I visited Shizuoka to check up on the recreation center Reika and I run. She left... an impression, I'll say that much. She kept trying making a lot of unwelcome compliments about me, stating she wouldn't mind 'experimenting' on me. She's lucky Reika stopped her before I said or did anything that we both would have regretted."

Reika Aichi

"To this day, it always boggles my mind and makes me laugh when people wonder just how Reika and I befriended each other. Granted, I was a bit skeptical of her when I first met her. I was looking for an area to open up a recreation center. I came up with the idea after hearing on the news about a young streetwalker who was sadly killed by an aggressive customer. It... it brought back bad memories of my past. But more than that, it made me realize that if circumstances had been different, I could have been in that young girl's place."

"It was for that reason I decided to open up a recreation center for young girls to keep them off the streets. I found a good spot in Minato to open up the center, and it was relatively close to both our home and the nightclub. However, before construction could begin, I was contacted by Reika who requested the center be built in Shizuoka, instead. Naturally, I was both displeased and skeptical. The woman requested that we meet and talk to each other. A set date and time was made, so we met then."

"I'll admit, the more Reika spoke about herself, her past and her ambitions, the more I saw much of myself. She seemed to have an earnest desire to help girls, so after discussing it, we decided to build the center there in Shizuoka. We're still deciding on a good name for it, but a lot of improvement has been made. We're thinking of making expansions, but for right now, we're fine with one."

"Besides that, as I stated, Reika is a dear friend of mine. I know a lot of rumors and such circulate about her, and even my husband isn't too sure of her. But... I maintain that whatever bad she's done in the past will be outweighed by what she's done in the good. That's what I believe, at any rate."

"While my husband might be content to let our son do what he wants, I, on the other hand, am not. I do not approve of him dating that woman from the Yakuza. And I don't approve of him mingling with Yakuza, period. ...But knowing him, even if I told him not to, he'd just do it anyway. *sighs* "At the very least, I asked Reika if she'd keep an eye on him if she should ever see Zakari in Shizuoka. I know he likes to claim that he is unstoppable because of his luck, but he should know, luck can only get you so far..."

"Besides Reika, I have to mimic my husband's feelings and state that this team doesn't make me feel very good. Both Kanon and that Kito-gumi leader are dangerous, no matter how much they may try to hide it. On the plus side, we may have to deal with them right away. ...But when the day comes and we do face them, I hope Reika realizes that there are no hard feelings."
