I'm not sure if anyone following The Embarrassing Story of How I Became A Blood Knight over on fanfiction.net has noticed yet, but the Farstrider captain, Bart Britecleff is actually an extremely precious person.

It's not a spoiler really, because it's been there all along, but if you recall--Blood Knight Daphne the Weaver said in a previous story that she had a locket from a man she once loved. She and all the other Blood Knights were stationed at Tempest Keep in Outland on their mission to save Kael'thas. They were seated in the warship's mess hall, remembering their devastated homeland.

The golden locket was Daphne's touchpoint, the one thing she had left from a time of peace, a time before the Scourge came and set her, and their Prince Kael'thas, on a quest for justice or gruesome revenge. The Knights of the Blood Nexus were not yet sure which their fallen prince was more capable of.

So for this prequel Blood Knight story, I decided to turn that mysterious, absent, perfect first love into a character.

You may have sensed some dark clouds forming about this noble figure, Bart Britecleff. He's brilliant, so youthful as well as wise--but what happened to him? And how does he really connect with the early Blood Knights?

My favorite scene with Britecleff so far is in the Silvermoon City Garrison chapter, when he's filling out the damning paperwork for Sunthraze's arrest. We sense Sunthraze is bound to get lost in the Silvermoon legal system and have his life ruined. Sunthraze has witnessed something top secret, punched Britecleff, insulted him and his soldiers. However, Britecleff has enough character to put down the pen instead and offer Sunthraze a way out.

Britecleff offers him a completely different life, something that will truly transform his existence. It is too kind. It makes no sense.

Britecleff will always be that impossible man. The white knight who should not have existed. Yet, he did and he was an incredible, close friend.

Love him.

Fili’s rusty sedan was idling noisily by the mailbox. Kili pulled open the passenger door and was greeted by the crackling music courtesy of the only alternative rock radio station near enough to be picked up, but not near enough for perfectly clear music, the cherry air freshener, and a smell that Kili always associated with Fili and home.

Silvermoon City RP with the new patch!

With Patch 9.2.5 dropping tomorrow, which will be bringing folks back around the Ghostlands/SMC for some questing, The Shielded Mind clinic will be open and running! We have no set times for any of the healers to be around, but we do encourage people to come mill about anytime and headcanon using the healing and alchemy services provided there! 

Even if you aren’t a healer, or in need of potions/healing, we encourage people to come hang out since many of us miss SMC RP and hopefully this helps to provide some fun and possible story!

The Shielded Mind is located on the Walk of Elders in Silvermoon City, using the ‘Velanni’s Arcane Goods’ shop! Most of us that may be hanging out there are typically online starting around 6pm WrA (PST).
