Before the end of April, the story was done. Even though Morgan felt she could have written two hundred pages more, she had agreed to write a short story for The Rainbow Alliance first. However, before she shared her work with Lindy, the first person who got to read it was, of course, Joshua.

before I go full tilt, I'm doing some quick warmups of the expression variety and posturing. Lord knows there's going to be a lot between these two.

that said, John looks so done, but he's more posturing than anything else. The Werewolf may have said something to him and obvs didn't like that at all. The Werewolf is doing... idk what that is or how to describe it but it's a thing I see a lot in characters who are getting a little unhinged as they talk with their movements.

on a single bed, sims (teen to elder) will see two options: 1. read in bed (with covers) 2. read in bed (without covers) child sims will only get the "read in bed (with covers)" interaction.

double bed

teen to elder

on a double bed, sims will see one interaction: "read in bed" the animation depends on which side of the bed you click:

left side → with covers

right side → without covers

i added a tooltip in-game to make it easier.

the pose for "read in bed (with covers)" is the same for all sims.

the pose for "read in bed (without covers)" is different for masculine and feminine frames.

benefits:

increases fun need.

skill books will boost the related skill. any level book can be read in bed and still grant skill gain.

if your sim has a "finish a book" want or aspiration goal, this interaction will fulfill it.

children gain creativity when reading fiction books. when reading skill books, they build mental skill — and if the book teaches a skill children can learn, that skill will increase too.

a moodlet will appear while reading in bed:

sims enrolled in university can also read textbooks in bed — they'll get a notification confirming their academic progress is improving:

known issues:

1. please let the sim finish reading before saving or entering cas. otherwise, when you load the game again, they may level up every skill at once, which causes a bunch of notifications :) it's not game-breaking, but a little messy. 2. the animation looks better with thicker books. 3. emotional books won’t give your sims a specific emotion.

this mod took me over half a year to figure out, and i'm so happy to finally share it. hope you enjoy!

Infant Resize Preset

Are you sick of using demon toddlers? Do you want newborns that actually LOOK like newborns? Well you came to the right place cause one night I had a midnight thought that I turned into a reality and it was to make those toddler resize presets but for INFANTS!

The proportions look so much more newborn-like, eh? I tried my best to use real newborn references for an accurate scale!

DISCLAIMER: THIS PRESET IS FOR POSE USE ONLY. It kind of works with gameplay, but it doesn't give you any new gameplay features for newborns. They will act like infants

HOW TO USE?

STEP 1: Equip preset in CAS

The preview looks like this! And is located under body presets!

-Note that you CANNOT go back to a regular size infant without defaulting their genetic body type. So I recommend making a CAS backup just for the infant!

STEP 2: Get you some poses that work with this preset! (I have a launch day list at the bottom of this post!!)

-Resized toddler poses WILL NOT work with this preset.

-Regular sized Infant poses will work with the preset, but it may require T.O.O.L to fix the positioning.

STEP 3: Pose as normal!! If you're having trouble with positioning, see the known issues section of this post!

POSEMAKER'S GUIDE

To make poses using this preset, you must use the special rig provided in the download section of this post! It's exactly like posing with resized toddlers.

-You must NEVER use the reset rig button. That defaults the rig to regular infant size. To undo changes please use alt + R and alt + G

KNOWN ISSUES

Infants are notoriously glitchy and for some reason when they're small sized, they act just a little bit crazier.

I HIGHLY RECCOMEND YOU DOWNLOAD T.O.O.L TO HELP SOLVE THESE ISSUES.

-If your teleporter is throwing last exceptions, your small infants may become misaligned with their caregiver's. This is easily fixable with T.O.O.L.

-When posing on an incline, the infants WILL MOVE OUT OF PLACE. These kinds of misalignments can't be fixed with T.O.O.L. I recommend only posing on flat terrain.

-This is not an issue, but more of a suggestion. If you're posing with some kind of bed, these babes are tiny and hard to click on. I recommend downloading a camera mod such as this one to get down low under the beds.

Poses for the newborn infant preset!

Hello! It's a double upload day! In case you haven't seen, the AMAZING @electricwhims has released a newborn size preset for infants so we can finally take story shots with a more realistically-sized baby. 😫 They also have a bunch of posepacks to go with it (and a growing list made by other posemakers; see the main preset post for details!) and it's all absolutely free. Nugget really is a gem and we are so lucky to have them.

Emotions With A Newborn

This is just a collection of emotions for an adult Sim holding a newborn. I was lucky enough to be allowed to use this preset in my story ahead of release, and I found I really needed poses like this so I made a bunch of them. It's not a super exciting pack but it was useful to me.

Pack contains 15 poses for an adult Sim (all poses include a silent and speaking version), and 2 poses (awake and asleep) for the infant so you can mix 'n' match them. Poses were made with a femme-frame Sim and as always there may be clipping or floating depending on Sim body type or clothing used.

Hold This

Once again I'm doing that thing where I made an insanely niche posepack for my own personal use and then decide to share it in case another soul actually needs it, but... hopefully it can be useful to someone.

Pack contains 2 poses for 3 adult Sims and a newborn, and 6 poses for 2 adult Sims with a newborn. Height differences are included. As always, there may be clipping or floating depending on Sim body type or clothing.

This mod adds CAS-based animated tails to sims! Well... sort of? You'll have to download and add the tails to sims separately, this mod just adds the infrastructure for it! Since its initial release, the mod has been almost completely reworked to appear smoother, have less points for conflict, and have more potential to be expanded in the future!

Huge huge huge thank you to Lumpinou for helping out with the script portion!

Unfortunately, because it hijacks the tailoverlay system used for cats and dogs and adds it to humans, this mod now requires the Cats & Dogs Expansion. Sorry! It's so much less jank this way so it was worth it, prommy.

If you use a particular adult mod with the initials of 'WW', you MUST download [sdm] ANIMATED TAIL MOD FOR WW.zip. If you do NOT use this mod, download [sdm] ANIMATED TAIL MOD.zip. ONLY DOWNLOAD ONE VERSION!

Place the .package file and .ts4script file that are inside the .zip directly in your mods folder, do not put them in subfolders! This is to ensure that the rig override loads before other rig overrides.

If you want a basic selection of tails, you can download [sdm] all-age tails for tailmod.zip. These, along with other actual tails, are no different than normal CC and may be placed wherever you wish. For younger sims and werewolves, you must also have the CASunlocks mod, as they use the lower back tattoo slot!

If you want materials to assist in creation of your own animated tails, you can download [sdm] animated tail mod DIY stuff.zip! If you are not intending to create CC that uses tailmod's rig, you don't need this. Pre-redux tails will still be compatible!

CONFLICTS AND KNOWN ISSUES 

Tails will appear T-posed in CAS now - this is expected! This is to allow compatibility with stand still in CAS mods, until I have the time to create tailmod-specific versions.

If a werewolf sim shifts into a wolf form that has a tail attached and does NOT change emotion, their tail will look like it got run over by a car. It will fix itself when the sim changes emotion, or if resetsim cheat is used.

This mod WILL conflict with any mod that modifies the rigs of sims. In the case of a certain adult-rated mod, there is a version provided that is compatible with it.

Tails will clip with furniture, the floor, etc depending on pose. Suspend your disbelief for this one.

HELLO!! Ive had a mental block about posting pose packs and I blame the infant presets HAHAAHAA Here's some emotions I made BACK IN OCTOBER??? Like hello??

Warning that some of the feet clip through the floor depending on the shoes your sims wear. (Mostly the seated ones)

There are 6 pose packs in total. 3 standing separated into positive, negative and sinister. And the other 3 are sitting versions!
