PSA for All TS3 Players (and even TS4 players)

For the past few days I've been molding my ideal TS3 experience with essential quality of life mods, and one in particular has recently been deleted. As we all know, TS3 didn't ship with an official Open For Business type pack, they decided to put bits and pieces of one on the store, if you ask me, they're trying to pull the same idea with TS5 (Project Rene) - but I digress. Anyways, The one mod that gives you that Open For Business experience/functionality, Sim State - The Sims 3 Open For Business Mini Expansion v1.4, is GONE. I was devastated because it's the one mod I can't play without. Thankfully, Wayback Machine was able to capture a fully functional download page over on MTS. Please download this mod while you can! Even if you don't play TS3, but you might in the future - store it in a folder somewhere. There's no telling when or if the creator will upload it again.

"Heavenly spa" ❥

Finally done! Hello everyone, and welcome to this full relaxing area.. Heavenly spa is placed in Tartosa on a 50x40 lot.. It's tree floor build with outside and inside pool, two saunas, two drink bars, coffee bar, private room for lover couples, gym, yoga room, sumba studio, massage room and icecream station.. I had to use a bunch of CC, otherwise this build would not look this beautiful.. Mitigating circumstance is that these are the creators whose objects you all mostly use.. ❥ I will copy the links of the creators that I think you may not have in your mods folder and I will just list the others.

Hey I hope you’re doing okay! Ive been stalking your page for a while! I’m in the same process of making a visual novel! I was wondering how you do the AI+Sims 4 without it looking you know jacked up! Would love to know your progress!

Hold your hats everyone, i'll be explaining in details...

I was quite sceptical about AI previously. It felt like I'm being replaced with something monstrous, artificial - the imitation of life that's superior me on every single parameter. The sudden sting of a guilt for years of seemingly vain trials and tribulations. Was it all just for nothing? I believe everyone of us came to that question sooner or later. But here I stand telling you how to make a machine fulfill your demands.

First thing. The machine loves precise. From my personal experience, a better formed human wish grants a better machinery result. A less formed wish gives it a choice. Think beforehand, seek the patterns (keywords) that may help you sustain the artstyle throughout the workflow.

Tell the AI what it needs to do. Give it a reference image and explain how you want it to be changed. For example, I want this alien dude becoming a:

"A visually ominous face of an eyeless humanoid creature. This divine image, resembling a digitally rendered painting, showcases the ancient Egyptian god of chaos in detail: sharp chin and cheekbones, dark gray and beige skin, shimmering with pulsating rainbow hues, blood is visibly circulating under his translucent, cadaverous skin. His mouth with tightened teeth grins menacingly. The overall composition is dynamic and captivating, evoking a sense of fear, malevolent power and impending chaos". That will be my prompt. If you're lacking skills then put your hands on other's results, copy their prompts and reshape according to your needs.

Oh. Not so eyeless. Let's give it less of a free will shall we?

Better now! Sadly the eyes are in place, as you can see it is not perfect even with precise input. Now let's make about 5-10 generations with same settings. It may take time to pass a cooldown after you'll run out of tokens, so be patient. If you have absolutely no spare money to buy a decent amount of generations (or if the transactions themselves are banned in your country 👍) and your enthusiasm is on pathetically vigorous level join me on free trial option almost any of the AI sites provide. That is fair exchange - money or your time.

You get what I mean? It could be anything shaped into another anything. Put here your sim, order a nice shot - here you go! Make something out of nothing with the power of words. Make a human being... some kind of.

Hooray! Not only we have the result we craved for but a whole bunch of reusable high-quality textures of various nature.

Our next step: we go in a deep dark lair of creator's mind. Hm-m, I'd correct here and there, erased that part and attached that one... Now we play "compile your Frankenstein out of everything that is not in its place". Of course a machine is not yet on the level where there wouldn't be a possibility to distinct its presence. So to hide these little (big, actually) inconsistencies we use a power of photo editing. Grab your software. With the power given to you by the sense of vision eliminate the overgrowing fingers and fight back mutilated teeth clumps.

Meet my favourite one hundred percent AI generated method. Generate a simple low quality image free and effortlessly (I use Craiyon, the perfect weapon)

Let another AI add the details for you. Catches the concept just great. Though it does not mean no handiwork after.

You can stylize it even further. Here you can see AI generated monster dudes crispy pixelated after a luxurious tour into pixelart AI. Good thing for a pixel indie gamestyle.

So, that's it. The secret is basically in your own hands. Acknowledge the style of your game, follow it while generating contents and patch up the AI mistakes.

+ zero investments

+ compensation for a lack of skills / hardware

+ easy to use

- even more work than if you would do all the same without AI

- straight dependence on sites / chat-bots, etc.

- time consuming

- many limitations (forget this if you're not on a free subscription... wait a second that abolish the first plus too!)

Alright part 2 of my theory on hidden Nervous. I'll have part 1 linked if you haven't read it yet. I suggest reading that one first before this one

Alright, you know the section where I theorized that psp and hidden Nerv being the same clone? Forgot about that part, I no longer believe in that theory(if you personally believe this however that's fine, I'm just changing my views on it.). If you look on the wiki, there are a total of 5 versions of Nervous Subject. We already have two in Sims 2, but he also appears in 3 and 4. But the one in Sims 3 isn't going to be talked about cuz it's just him as a toddler, which doesn't really make any sense because mostly the adults and elders in 2, are children or have not yet been born, not even Glarn and Kitty appear, but Glarn's parents Notso and Zo appear not even as teenagers yet. If we go with the more common theory for the sims timeline that each game adds 25 years later besides 3, which is supposed to be a prequel, then Nervous would be an elder or dead. Which doesn't make sense (I know it's more the fact that the developers didn't really focus on the timeline from the other two games when adding premades from other games, but still it's confusing).

So we're gonna focus on hidden, psp, and 4 Nervous. All three are clones of Nervous. All three are different from the original as the Sims 2 shows copies of some Sims and they're not identical to the original. I mean look at Pleasantview and strangetown's Bella Goths, their appearances are different. Even though all four look different, one thing's the same. All four smell of trauma and cat piss

Hidden would actually not be seen outside of the house as he never got to explore out into the world before his death(which fits more with the name hidden Nervous). He still ages into an elder by the Beaker's experiment. But they didn't have enough elixir of life to age him back, so he didn't get age down right away. So after they torture him he goes up to the roof to look at the sky. Just like with the friday the 13th video, He dies by getting struck by a meteorite.

For psp Nervous, he looks the most normal out of all versions of Nervous. It's pretty known why he's like that, but I like to think that he's the most genetically accurate. He'll have Olive's, and Grim's biological genetics before his death. So he'll be almost completely different, other than having the same clothes, it's hard to tell that he's even a clone. So it's very easy for him to walk around town and not be mistaken as the original Nervous. He would still say that he's just working for the Beakers as a way to hide the truth from others. He probably was caught after they found him trying to sneak out, and that's when It was impossible for him to escape and had more painful experiments done on him. His body just couldn't take it anymore, and that's when he was shocked to death by one of the machines used on him. Well shit, two clones are dead, hopefully the next one doesn't die

The current clone they have is the Nervous from the sims 4. Even though that game is an alternate universe or some dumb shit that messes with the timeline, he's a Nervous so he's gonna be talked about. This Nervous is trapped with now four Beakers. Yes, Atom and Ceres also torment this man. They'd even put the blame on him for the trouble they caused. He has yet to go out and explore the world, so right now he's stuck in the house.

Does Nervous know that he has clones? Probably, he figures that the Beakers would clone him if they haven't put in the effort to get him back since he ran off to live with the Curious brothers. Has he ever met the psp Nerv since he's the only clone that went outside? No, if so they would've been fist fighting

Hey! There isn't much I can do about it sadly. I've created so many sims past 6 years and I don't have the resources to keep up with all the CC links. 😞

A little trick that I do if I want to find the CC from a dead link is you will look at the link, usually, it has the name of the creator in it and the CC you're looking for. So I type that into Google.

For example, let's take this link here. The link no longer works but I can see the link is from salem2342 and the CC I'm looking for is eyeshadow 01. So, that's what I'll type into Google. Also, I add the "Sims 4" at the end.

I usually click on the Tumblr links, most of the time they have the working link.

Alternatively, you can just copy the end of the link to Google and this usually works too.

Hey everyone, time for a long overdue update!

Combustion Engines - Not Ready Just Yet

By this point, I was hoping to have combustion engines done. I tried a purely physics based approach, using separate cylinder, piston, con-rod, & crank rigidbodies, and applying a force to the piston based on the current angle of the crank. This worked reasonably well, but had problems with "phantom forces" whereby the engine got torque applied to it, sometimes flipping over the vehicle it's in. Also, using physics for all the parts like this has RPM limitations, and doesn't scale that well for sim performance.

So I've decided to change tack slightly, I still want to keep the appearance of the moving parts (i.e. pistons and con-rods), but my plan is now to procedurally animate these in code. There's not really any need to use physics as these parts can't collide with anything when inside an engine. To apply torque to the crankshaft, I'm working on something similar to the electric motors, but with a different torque curve.

Hopefully I'll be able to get this done soon, but in the meantime I thought it would be good to get a small update out. Here's what's in it…

Parts

There are now some slider versions of the 1-Hole and 2-Hole connectors, some new "angle axle" connectors, and a larger centrifugal clutch.

Also, the rounded beams can now be resized one unit smaller than before.

Part Behaviours

I've improved how the invert option works for parts with a single key bind (e.g. brakes), adding a separate invert option for the joystick axis.

You can now type in values for any part behaviour slider, by right clicking it. Even values beyond the normal slider range can be entered (but no guarantees the physics won't blow up with higher RPMs or torques!)

No Collide Tool

For those who want to bypass part collisions in their builds, I've added a new "PartCollision" script mod tool that can be used to disable part collisions. Parts with their collision disabled will still collide with the ground, but nothing else.

Shortcuts (Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V) for copy and paste in part behaviour settings.

A construction can now be unfrozen (via the construction UI) while the player is seated in it.

Lowered minimum mouse sensitivity values.

Added methods to IConstructionOperations to set whether parts are collidable (and added IsCollidable property to IPart interface).

Added new PartCollision script mod.

Bug fixes.

Upgraded to Unity 2021.3.34.

TS2 in TS4 Megahood: Britechester Map

Britechester, a town divided.

Starting in Foxbury Tech, the only thing I changed was to put my Alto Student Center down to replace the existing one. It's got a nice hangout zone with couches, a cafeteria, a computer lab, a research and debate machine lab, and a robotics lab that also has the microscope and some of the GTW science equipment. There's also a bunch of conference rooms where I envision group projects being discussed, but realistically, sims are going to end up taking their food there and leaving dishes.

In the middle neighborhood, I didn't touch the community lots. I did build some fake townhomes on the empty lot and placed the Bright Household there. The one on the left has 1 bedroom and the one on the right has two small ones. They are decorated haphazardly in an "Ikea meets thrift store" kind of way. I hated the two houses where the Elderberries and the Pleasant twins were, so I bulldozed them and built a large modern shell that I copied for the other. One is set up for 8 sims to live there in 4 bedrooms/3 baths assuming they are a sorority. The other is set up as a 2 bedroom/2.5 bath family home with an office and a playroom on the third floor.

Finally in U Brite, I built a new university commons called the U Brite Commons. It has a cafeteria, a large room for listening to debates, computer lab, research and debate machines, an art room, and a music room. I also renovated Wyvern Hall to be more like the dorms I remember from college adding in a kitchenette with prep space, dining table, and large sectional in front of the tv. The bathrooms now have two semi private shower stalls each so there's woohoo spots. (I have been to many dorms and none of them had showers in the open like that) I couldn't make the layout for one large bathroom work, so opted for two smaller bathrooms with unisex doors. Finally I built a new house for that university housing lot that sleeps 8.

to expand more on this, sung is excitable. she takes an inch and gives a mile, which can be nice in some situations, but especially as a child it caused her to push potential friends away by being Too Much. as she’s aged, she’s learned to tone this down, but it’s still a work in progress

tries to be optimistic when possible. brains aren’t always that nice, and sung deals with those struggles too. but she’s a big advocate for talking about your feelings and feeling your feelings so they can be expelled and go away healthily. she tries to observe that as well, but she’s not as good at talking about her deepest non happy emotions, and tends to curl inward in those times. every other emotion level Will be shared and worn on her sleeve though, even to strangers lmao

very physically affectionate. she’s not Particularly careful about gender divides with this, and it applies to anyone she considers a friend, which honestly doesn’t take much

she comes from a very traditional and devout catholic family, though, and it’s framed a lot of her ways of thinking. especially when she was younger, she had mindsets like the ‘love you, but not your lifestyle’ and needed to break out of that when she was exposed to more queer people through the industry. she also has decently strong opinions on things like over-drinking, smoking, sleeping around, and can be a little judgmental over those things

for the most part, she doesn’t ever intend to start arguments. she wants to get on with everyone. one of few times she’s full on cold to someone is if they’re an ex of a close friend who treated them badly, because she’s very loyal and ‘if you hate them i hate them’ type of friend

sung was born with a fraternal twin to parents that owned an itty bitty restaurant together. and it’s very bob’s burgers they barely scraped by

but when sung was about ~9, her dad caught some luck, and was always away from home doing business meetings for the shop. then by the time sung was 10, the whole family packed up to start building a chain for their restaurant

sung already struggled making friends before moving, but moving made it a bit worse. she became an idol fan as an escape, and started dancing because of it

when she was 17, her family settled down in seoul as a new permanent location, and sung saw it as her opportunity to be the idol she’d dreamt she could be over the last 6 years of dancing

her luck wouldn’t be the Greatest, though, as she’d fall into a scam for a couple of months

she developed higher standards for checking for scams, started training at a real company, but had to find out through an article online that the company had shut down

her parents wanted her to give up, but up to that point, she’d only auditioned for smaller companies because of the higher success rate. she presented a plan to audition for only the top five companies, and they eventually agreed to that

however, it still took a year of auditioning for bc ent to accept her

and when she was accepted, she didn’t train for long at all before being put on candy shop, then straight to debut

sung’s public persona isn’t very different from who she is. like with most idols, she has to put on a happy face even when she’s not feeling so hot, but beyond that, who she is, is what the public sees

she’s a sunshine/vitamin archetype

her appeal as an idol according to the public has three main sections. at the top, personality, then second is her looks, and third would be dancing

though she really enjoyed candy shop (as a fan of healthy competitiveness - mostly against herself) it introduced her to the public and made her aware that what she’s most proud of, her dancing, falls behind looks, which she’s always worried people will value her for over who she is. while i think personality wins over looks, i don’t think sung sees it that way, and it’s a sore spot for her

being in candy in general is great for her, tho. she adores the music, the styling, the image, some of the choreo. then again, she’s also gone viral twice with candy (shy shy shy, and a dance the night away fancam) so it’s inevitable she’ll have nice feelings towards it lol

in her future career, she’ll have focuses mostly on modelling and choreography methinks, so if anyone would like a choreographer, hit sung up

plots

sung’s fave group of all is lily so anything around her being starry eyed. maybe it makes for a nice successful fan connection or your muse doesn’t fit sung’s expectations and it breaks sung’s rose tinted glasses

she’s also a fan of idols and the idol world in general tho! she has favorites, but even if she isn’t a big fan of your group, she probably knows your choreography. could be your muse thinks she’s a bigger fan than she is because of clips of her dancing to their songs, or she genuinely is a big fan, or them doing challenge videos together a lot

negative plots are great since they’re not all that common with a sung type! men who’ve done her dirty, people she’s been judgmental to, people who get turned away by her overwhelming and sudden affection, or maybe the practice room monster she turns into rubs someone the wrong way at one point

late 2019 to right now, i have in my head that sung would be dating, but i’ve left what this time looks like as an open plot. so, this could be multiple relationships one after the next, or a three year relationship. if someone wants to take up a current plot, i have this Thot... hear me out. so she’s dating this person for some amount of time and for some reason, they break up real time in-verse and because she felt the most in luv w this person over anyone else she’s dated, it hits hard, and she makes decisions that breach her morals (aka full sleepin w someone when up to this point she’d have been a ‘technical’ virgin to appease her own religious rules) this could all be talked about more in depth in dms since this is getting quite long, but it’s the first storyline i have in mind for sung personally

piggybacking off of that with a smaller one would be if somehow someone is close friends with an ex of sung’s and thinks poorly of sung for moving on so quickly, since i think it’s been like... max two weeks for almost every guy she’s been with before she starts dating another

Info about careers in my More Careers Mod

I will be updating this post about info about the career tracks when I have more time. it’s a lot of Copy and Pasting. Use CTRL F to find the career you are looking for. So far I only have descriptions for the Factory and Fast Foods careers in this post. I will eventually put up info about the grocery career here when I have the time to copy and paste info.

Factory

At Sixam LLC. We make parts for every day necessities, such as phones, pc, cars, etc. You name it, we make it! Why not join our company and learn a new craft? With only 4 days of work with 10 hours each, your sim will have more time on the weekend to relax and spend some time living. You will be in a building away from the public, so you can wear whatever you want to work! Remember to tie your hair back and not wear loose clothing as it can get caught in a machine. We offer a generous package by offering more PTO than other companies. No high school degree or higher education? No worries we accept everyone from all walks of life! Branches include Management and Product Designer. There is a third branch called undecided but you must have MCCommandCenter to restart your branch.

01. Button Pusher

Until {0.SimFirstName} can prove {M0.he's}{F0.she's} capable of being a good worker, they will just remain a button pusher until they prove themselves to not make bad parts.

02. Entry Level Laborer

07. Technician

At Sixam LLC. we don’t just make parts or products only on the weekdays, we make them on the weekend as well. Need extra money and working weekdays at Sixam isn’t enough for you? Work overtime at the factory! Just looking for a weekend job? We got that covered too! Note: You may need a mod in order to work 2 different jobs at the same time.

If your general manager doesn't want to order a new ice cream machine, that responsibility falls on you now to get it fixed. Aren't you glad you're moving up in the company?

08. Shift Leader

Requirements for promotion: None

As an assistant general manager, {0.SimFirstName} is now helping the general manager run the store when they aren't here.
