This lot can serve as bar or café as well. As I was play testing, I had to move somethings around so the preview photos are slightly different than what’s in the lot to make sure it can function. Café was a little tricky with how I constructed the front end of the place. So I ended up creating an overrides for the espresso machines to allow it to place it on other counters. I found this nifty tutorial here by @ravasheencc if you’d like to learn how to do it.  

I’ve also included an unfurnished apartment if you want to use this lot as a residential or even a ‘Live in Business’ with this mod here (@littlemssam). Please know that I really didn’t use too many packs except to populate the rooftop terrace garden so I could get good plant variety.

Ekvillan - 'The oak villa'

Ekvillan is a spacious family villa inspired by swedish architecture from the turn of the last century.

I chose to call it 'Ekvillan' - 'The oak villa' in swedish, since there is a big oak tree in the garden. It has a vegetable garden, bees, a chicken coop, and a treehouse. There's plenty of cozy little spots to hang out and eat 'fika'.

Here’s a tutorial on how you can switch between the packs without having to uninstall them on Windows. With this method, you can choose with what packs you play. It’s been my go-to method since years, and it always works! Makes building so much easier for me if I want to use only specific packs, or even only the basegame.

I also prepared a list where you can see which pack is a certain pack, cause in the Origin folder they’re only numbered. You can see this list under the cut, or read the description of the video. When new packs will be released, I will also update my list with the new and correct numbers.

Searchable Courtyard Oasis Kit Items

As someone who likes to collect all the kits, the fact that all kits are lumped into one filter in Build/Buy drives me bonkers. We have so many kits now and that broad filter just isn't cutting it anymore. It still takes forever to locate specific kit items if you can't recall the exact name of the item to search for it.

I've attempted to remedy this by simply adding a searchable tag to each Build/Buy kit item. Now when you want to sort by specific kits, all you need to do is search for the kit name in the search bar and all objects from that kit will show up. Since not everyone owns every kit, I'm releasing the Build/Buy kits one at a time so you don't need to worry about downloading extra files for kits you don't have. I haven't figured out a good way to sort out the CAS kits yet but if I do think of a solution for those, I'll release them, too.

No changes made to the items themselves. I just added searchable tags to them to make them easier to locate in the catalogue.

Using this mod will flag your builds as modded in the Gallery. If you want to upload CC-free builds to the Gallery, I recommend disabling your mods and restarting the game when you're finished with your build and want to upload it.

There are a few items in this kit that are not tagged with the kit name. Namely, the column, frieze, and staircase. This is because we don't currently have the ability to edit these objects in Sims 4 Studio. The only way I could do this is through TSR Workshop which is a terrible, buggy program. However, everything in this kit that can be made searchable, is searchable.

THE SCANDIESAVE V1.0

Behold the very first version of the ScandieSave! ... and my very first save file ever, for that matter. This project have been in the works for a whooping 25 months and I have put all my effort and love into creating a version of the game that I would want to play with myself. I hope you'll enjoy it too and use it as a base for your own game play ideas!

What can I expect from the Scandie Save?

All pre-existing townies have had a makeover. 

50+ new families with stories, skills, careers etc.

A bit of lore, some relationships and 

Backstories for all families

The return of old, familiar characters 

50+ new clubs. 

Many all new houses and community lots. 

Renovated versions of Maxis houses and buildings.

What do I need in order to play the Scandie Save?

You'll need a PC or a MAC, sorry console players...

The savefile is not packrestrickted, see complete list below.

No mods or CC is needed for this save file, but I do recommend the More Club Icons Mod if you are a frequent user of clubs. 

How do I install the ScandieSave?

Back up your saves folder. 

Download the Scandie Save.

Put the save in your SAVES folder. Most people will find it here: Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 4 > Saves. 

If you already have a file with the same filename as the Scandie Save, please rename the save file to a name that is not currently in use but make sure to keep it 8 digits long.

Are there any known bugs in this save? 

YES! Please note that The Sims 4 is a very buggy game, and that some issues are out of my control. During the creation of this save file I have experienced the following bugs that you might also encounter when you play this file: 

Some babies shows up as darker on thumbnails or in neighborhood view.

Any other mistakes? Please report them to me, and ill see what I can do. 

Anything else I need to think about? 

Feel free to enjoy the #ScandieSave however you want to, but please do not reupload sims and buildings as your own creations.

The LEPacy Challenge: Sims 4 Edition

This challenge is the sims 4 version of the sims 3 lepacy challenge. Modified into the liking of the sims 4 and its packs. This is also a legacy challenge, sort of. I will not say I made this challenge because it’s inspired from two other challenges (LEPacy challenge sims 3 edition and legacy challenge). I don’t think I’m the first person to come with the lepacy challenge, sims 4 edition. Have fun and follow the rules and complete all of your goals.

Rules:

1. Start off with ZERO simoleons to your sims name, on an empty lot.

2. Start with ONE sim.

3. Begin with a YA, but if you want to be difficult, start off with an Adult.

4. On a normal lifestyle.

5. If your heir dies before completing all goals, YOU LOSE. But if your sim dies (completed goals) before having an heir, then someone of the same bloodline carries on the lepacy.

6. No CC (a default skin replacement and default eyes are allowed, but THAT IS IT) in generation one, the only mods allowed in generation one are: Mc command Center, first impression (Mood pack for it to work) and Ui Cheats Extension

7. NO SHADERS for generation one.

8. No save file unless you can found an all-base game save file to your liking. All of this applies to generation one, but since you can’t go back and forth between having a save file generation and not the next, you’ll be stuck with whatever save file until the end.

9. Once you move generations, you keep the packs from the last generation in your game.

10. * Means optional, but anything without * is required UNLESS you absolutely despise the pack in the generation.

Goals to move generations:

- Complete aspiration

- IF your sim has a job, reach level TEN of the career.

- Have at least ONE biology kid to carry on the lepacy.

- Randomize two of three traits when aged up, you choose ONE trait. You don’t have to randomize the aspiration.

- Max out at least TWO skills.
