in the beginning, he thought of juliette constantly, from sunrise to sunset. he often flipped through the photo books he had put together over the years, capturing their milestones, vacations, and memories.

however, the more he did this, the more he noticed how frail juliette had become over time. as the year of her death approached, the number of photos dwindled. a year after her passing, he stored the photo book in his parents' garage, along with the film cameras juliette had gifted him.

it felt like a betrayal to try to forget her. he reminded himself that it wasn’t about forgetting her; it was about navigating his crippling grief. the grief was paralyzing. all the work he had done to prepare for the draft had gone out the window when juliette was hospitalized for the last time. his father grew resentful, believing that nothing, especially something as "silly" as love, should interfere with the legacy they were building.

while trying to forget her felt like a betrayal, the memories that came with remembering her were equally painful, considering how everything else had fallen apart around him as well.

Chapter 9.4 - 50 Shades of Enchantment

MIKO

Miko marches over to the cauldron and makes a show of looking at the jars of ingredients. It’s all incomprehensible, but she just needed to make something that smelled good and then send this lady on her way with her very expensive placebo.

“So, an addition to the house? Y’all looking to expand your family or get a workspace? My neighbor back home built a shed last year so he could house his projects.” Miko doesn’t mention that the shed was illegal, and the products were, too.

“We’d like to host some gatherings during election season. Boost our chances of winning a seat,” the woman says. “Sorry, is that parsley you’re using?”

Miko freezes. “Uh, I could use a substitute if you’re allergic.”

Assuming she could find the substitute for the recipe that she literally just made up out of nowhere.

“Really? I never heard of that. Valerian root is traditional, isn’t it?” she frowns. “Could you get Gemma to check your work?”

“We don’t need to bother Gemma!” Miko waves a hand and dumps the parsley in. It makes an ominous spark and then gives off a foul-smelling red smoke. “I assure you I am a professional, ma’am. Just give me a moment to adjust…“ Hiding her panic, she grabs a random bottle off the shelf and dumps it with the rest of the brew. “Voila! Your Potion of Good Fortune.”

More sparks appear before a loud “plop” sends the contents of the cauldron splattering all over them.

“Holy Magic, I’m dying!” the woman screams.

After nearly a day of silence, the voice in Miko’s head finally kicks in.

Bitch, get a grip.

“Miriam!” Gemma dashes over. “What happened here?”

“I’m sorry,” Miko says automatically.

Stop thinking like a sim, the voice growls.

“I can’t!” Miko cries. Gemma and the woman look at her strangely. “I mean, I just…I…” Miko fumbles for the right words.

You don’t owe her shit. Hold your ground! the voice counters, but it’s hard to do that when a crazy lady was rocking on the ground and threatening to curse you and all your progeny over a fake ass potion.

Gemma interrupts Miriam's rant. “Miko, why don’t you head to the back and clean up? I’ll straighten this out.”

As the title suggests, this event is to celebrate the wonderful Claudia; her personality, her aspirations, her journey. The heart for the past two seasons of AMC Interview with The Vampire. This is to take the narrative back to her, proving she's not just a shingle roof for us.

2. Aug 13th & 14th: Alternate Universe

“It’s chaos after you die. It’s a dream from which you cannot wake.” Armand says quietly to Daniel. “Imagine drifting half in and out of consciousness, trying vainly to remember who you are or what you were. Imagine straining forever for the lost clarity of the living—” Armand stops suddenly to glare somewhere to Lestat’s left. “Lestat, I beg you on bended knee to close your mind. I cannot bear to listen to her any longer.” “Listen to who,” Louis asks, sharp as fangs. “CLAUDIA!” Lestat shouts into the swamp, spinning in his inner tube. “These drugs are making me hallucinate our dead daughter. I’ve been listening to her explain exactly how I failed her with much virulence and creativity for the last forty-five minutes.” “What’s she like?” Louis asks, eager as anything. “Magnifique,” Lestat answers immediately. “She despises me. She’s wearing a yellow… I believe it is called a tankini. She has a margarita....” Lestat twists in his tube to glare at Armand. “Montre-lui/ Show him.” Louis squeezes his eyes shut, wrists limp in front of him. Armand’s mindgift transmission is jagged and blurry from the drugs, and Lestat’s view is all the more distorted by his own intoxication, but it’s her, it’s her. Claudia rises from the dead to berate Lestat from her very own inner tube, pausing only to take sips from her human drink. At least she is granted liquor in the hopeless afterlife that is haunting Lestat. Claudia’s hair is pulled back the way it was the day she passed, but her face is baby smooth, no trace of the injury the coven had subjected her to before her murder. She smiles at Lestat, dimple still adorable, no matter how old she gets. “And I don’t give one solitary sh*t if you’ve got him d**kmatized,” Claudia tells Lestat. “He says he forgives you for letting me die?” She brings her fingers together and gestures to her own chest. “I don’t f**king forgive you! ” Claudia starts singing in mockery, bitter as her daddy on his worst nights. She cups her hands (Her beautiful hands! The simple pleasure of her hand in his!) around her mouth like a megaphone. “I don’t forgivveeee you!” “Jesus Christ,” Louis hears Daniel say in the real world before exploding into choking coughs. In Lestat’s psychosis as translated by Armand on LSD, Claudia keeps at it. She urges Lestat to find new and innovative ways to kill himself, embodying Lestat’s senselessness and Louis’ sense in her rage. Their courageous, intelligent, honest-to-God hurricane of a daughter does not look Louis’ way the whole memory, even though Louis deserves the privilege of meeting her eyes again so much more than Lestat does. Even though Louis has spent a lifetime fasting and praying for it. But she is Lestat’s ghost, she haunts him just like she said she would, and Louis figures… He hears his own laugh—hysterical—as the memory ends, the tears wet on his cheeks. Louis figures he’s just too sane to see her these days.

WELCOME TO TOTAL DRAMA SIMS! The hottest new reality TV show on Simblr. I'm your host jonquilyst, and starting today 14 teenagers will gather to put their wits, guts, and strength to the test to see who can survive and persevere the longest. Buckle up, 'cause it's gonna be totally, absolutely insane!

Allow me to also welcome you to Camp Simsanakwa! Located somewhere along the coast of Brindleton Bay, this crappy summer camp will be our 14 contestants' new home! Here’s a little tour:

We've got the basic necessities here: 2 cabins (one for each team) with 2 rooms each, a mess hall for everyone's lounging and culinary needs, and of course bathrooms for everyone to do their business!

But the most exciting part is the campfire, where everyone will face the judgement of their fellow contestants, and the Dock of Shame, where losers will say goodbye to Total Drama Sims!
