Simzy Journal Sim: Ember Wilder

Today is the kind of day that feels like a boring, blank page just waiting for something exciting to be written on it. So I figured, why not start with an introduction?

Hi! My name is Ember Wilder and, if I’m being honest… I’m just as ordinary as this day has been. But ordinary is only a stepping stone to extraordinary, right? I spent a lot of time as a kid lost in daydreams about the extraordinary future that awaited me, and I always imagined that stepping into my new life would feel like the beginning of an epic adventure–wind in my hair, destiny calling my name, yada, yada, yada. Instead, I tripped over an unpacked box and realized I had no one to talk to but you. Close enough, right? No offense.

It’s not exactly the grand, cinematic entrance I envisioned, but hey, a girl has got to start somewhere!

So here I am, freshly independent in my own house and ready to explore this big, old beautiful world! I’ve always longed to venture beyond the small town where I grew up so that I could chase inspiration around every corner. There’s got to be so much more out there to discover, right!? The desire to create and experience beautiful things drives my every breath and has my mind constantly brimming with ideas.

I’m a writer by trade, though my paycheck to paycheck lifestyle disagrees that what I do can actually be labeled as a ‘trade’. One day, though, the stories that twirl through my mind will dance onto the page in a way that actually does them justice. And maybe, just maybe, they’ll pay for a coffee or two. Until then, I’ll do what I can to keep the lights on (and try not to eat instant noodles for every meal).

Speaking of food, I should probably go spend some time solving the hard problem of how to keep it on the table. If all else fails, I’ll just charm my way into a dinner invitation from my new neighbors that came by earlier—kidding! (Mostly.)

Here’s to new beginnings, great stories, and hopefully, some edible meals. Wish me luck!

🍰 The wedding of Maisie and Jacob 🍰

Today my babies got married omg😭 I was having the hardest time with the ceremony because there was a MONSOON AS SOON AS IT STARTED. I can’t even make this shit up 😂.

Maisie had her girl Gisela as her maid of honour and her best friend Paul as the ring bearer. Jacob keeps to himself so just let Maisie pick the wedding crew (man core.)

I can’t believe they are already married, I didn’t even know if I wanted Maisie to marry Jacob but he proposed and she had the deeply in love sentiment so I knew I had to do it! I honestly think it’s worked out for the best hehe.
