Kinstellar and Strategy Council present the Ukrainian Drone Defence Forum in London

Kinstellar and Strategy Council, supported by D3 Venture Capital, organised the Ukrainian Drone Defence Forum, "Drones: Delivering Victory" at the prestigious Royal United Services Institute in London on May 21.

Purpose. In connection with the recent defence partnership signed between the United Kingdom and Ukraine, the Forum’s endeavoured to enhance the collaboration between Ukrainian and British drone manufacturers and technology firms to scale up drone and electronic warfare production – a top partnership priority. The UK government has allocated £325m to support this effort.

In this context, we were pleased to work together with the Government of the United Kingdom to deliver an event that would complement the recent UK Defence Trade Mission to Kyiv in April 2024. The forum was also supported by the Ukrainian government and military, with representatives from the Ministry of Strategic Industries and the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces - the drone sector’s ultimate client - clarifying Ukraine’s front line technology needs.

Attendees. With over 240 participants, the Forum exceeded the anticipated number of attendees several times over. It included over 30 UK and Ukrainian government officials from the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD), along with more than 150 participants from the defence sector.

We were honoured to have as our keynote speaker the Chief of the UK Defence Staff, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin. Major General Anna-Lee Reilly and other senior MOD and DBT officials described the UK government’s efforts to supply Ukraine with equipment and funding for drone development, as well other areas. Private sector representatives provided perspectives on their efforts supporting Ukraine, including BAE Systems, Babcock International, Palantir, Helsing, and Tetra Tech. We were especially delighted to be joined by Haluk Bayraktar, whose eponymous drone has achieved cult status in Ukraine. Alan Mak MP, the UK Minister for Minister for Industry and Economic Security at the Department of Business and Trade closed the Forum, reaffirming the UK government’s commitment to supporting UK private sector investment in Ukraine.

Specific outcomes. To produce tangible outcomes, Kinstellar and D3 VC brought 15 hand-picked leading Ukrainian drone producers to London to create partnerships with drone sector members of ADS Group, the UK defence industry trade association. Curated by Eveline Buchatskiy, CEO and Founder of D3 VC, the Ukrainian and UK companies pitched their businesses in a Drone Demo, followed by extensive B2B engagement designed to ultimately expedite drone delivery at scale for Ukraine’s front-line forces.

It’s so hard to get him while he’s dancing. He keeps stopping whenever I turn to look at him and I don’t want to stare at him for 30 hours. He knows I’m trying to catch him in the act.

I had a dream last night where I went full Kaycee’s mod on Inscryption and made my own Emile’s Mod which was nothing special like it wasn’t harder or anything cool like that, I just made it so the game literally never ends.

You never reach the Leshy boss fight you just keep going and each map is randomly rolled and you could even get the same map twice in a row and Leshy was always really upset when that happened and try to cover it with “You... Decided it best to back track, there may be something useful along the path you did not choose” and he’d mumble about how much he hates randomly generated pathing.

The longer you played the less likely new card spaces would generate and when you reached a 30 deck hand they’d stop appearing entirely until you cut down your deck by at least 10 cards so your average deck would be around 20 cards. I think it was originally 50 but that many cards would slow down the game so I patched it.

I remember adding a patch that added the Kaycee’s Mod exclusive cards, items, and the Goobert space, and Leshy got on my case for stealing from Kaycee so I had to add my own card as well, so I added the Bleeding Heart (Luzon, the bird), which while in play made all cards cost 1 less blood unless they already costed one blood. Turns out that card literally broke the game as trying to sacrifice a two blood cost card for it would cause the game to loop the sacrifice animation and eventually crash, wiping your current run. I thought that was funny so I kept it in and programed Leshy to warn people about it.

Eventually my mod got popular enough that Daniel Mullens emailed me to offer me a job and I remember responding to him, “I’ll be honest with you, sir, I made this mod because I love Leshy. I love him a lot. I made this so I could play with him forever.” and he responded with, “Then you’re the same as Kaycee” and I lost my fucking my and woke up to put the email on Tumblr just to realize it was a dream.

So, over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been painting up three of the gel blaster rifles I have upgraded and fielded over the last couple of years (one of these hasn’t actually seen field use yet.)

Now, I present the finalised forms of these blasters, parts and paints locked in.

I’ve had a lot of fun painting and assembling these three blasters. I deliberately left the grips unpainted on all three, as I didn’t want paint to wear and stain my hands and gloves. I also didn’t paint the attachments as I do occasionally swap out optics and lights where required.

Heloise made a trip to the well for some water, but also took some time to beg for the good health of her family. Lannie grows up in a few days, a little help from Isoi is always beneficial. (Fun fact, Lannie kept rolling to die, first time when I did the ros and the second when I attempted doing her health score. I vetoed both of those, and also discarded health roles all together.)

I think Heloise is a strong candidate to be religious. She is often around water and relies on the ocean to live.

This lovely lady is Jaleela El-Sayed, she’s one of the few townie ladies I have wandering around. She has a sister named Khadija wandering around somewhere.

Heloise spent the entire afternoon meeting her fellow neighbors, she became friends with Enola Vernier in the process.

Sir Erick isn’t too impressed with this lowly peasant.

Slowly as we rotate around everyone will get their class traits, I love Mortia’s greeting mod!

Lots of activities take place at the beach, this was a nice reward seeing everyone interact after spending a lot of time building and in cas.

In her form of grief of losing both parents, Emma can be very opinionated and sometimes rebellious. Tink is her best friend. JEFFERSON: 29, born into a humble family of tailors and worked his way to become a tailor to the wealthy. Partnering his business with an old friend, Robert. Seen as a ladies' man but is pining away for David. NEAL: 23. Regarding love, he also dislikes Emma in the beginning, but the two come to fall in love later. REGINA: 20, daughter to Regina. Courting Daniel behind her mother’s back. ROBERT: 32. Ex to Cora Mills, proposed to her and had his heartbroken. Best friends with Jefferson and runs a business with him as a weaver/tailor. While he inherited money, he’s not interested in it but remains part of society for Belle as he loves her. SNOW WHITE: Rival to David Nolan. Wants to use Emma’s grief and the scandal of her family having a history of an affair in the family against everyone.
