Dean only slept with Sirena to surpress his feelings for Jared and the fact that he was bi and in love with a man. That's why in the last episode, he said "Back to a time where there were no Sirenas or Jareds"

Cuz dude, wtf did Jared ever do to you that you regret meeting him ? Then it hit me. He's in love with Jared, which made him confront the fact that he is attracted to men, which just threw him into an even more confusing spiral.

And Rusty is a homophobe, might be internalized homophobia, but you remember when Hank said that Rusty tried to find and isolate the gay gene to destroy it ? Dean was probably scared that Rusty was gonna flip out over his son being attracted to his male roommate and who knows what Rusty would have done, even though it seems Rusty yas greatly chilled out on the homophobia since previous seasons

So yeah, Dean betrayed his brother in a moment of weakness because he didn't want to face the fact that he was in love with Jared.
