Another thing about the airplane extras that fucked me up which I forgot to mention is the scene where sqh, Shen Jiu, and lqg are on a mission together and sj and lqg are arguing with each other and shit and sqh is like haha but under that he can See shen jiu is trying and failing to connect and he pulls him aside after and advises him on how to properly stop a qi deviation because he Knows that soon Shen Jiu is going to try and fail to save Liu Qingge and he just wants to do that little bit of kindness so sj doesn't have lqg's death on his conscious and it's just AHHHHHUGHHHWH. Scumplane fans you have done this to me. Sqh knowing all of sj's trauma and that sometimes he really is trying, but that no one around him knows that and just pushes him back into his self-defensive shield whenever he tries just a bit to be nicer. Sqh trying to help sj through something that he ends up not even experiencing because he DIES IN HIS SLEEP AND NO ONE CARES EXCEPT YQY AND SQH. Sqh knowing that sj is a horrible person but also that he was the one who made him into that horrible person, seeing past his barbed exterior to all the trauma he wrote into him and hoping, maybe a bit selfishly, that he could possibly overcome it this time, if he just changed the tracks just a bit. But Shen Jiu is gone, and even in this better timeline he'll never, ever have the chance to improve.

No, not currently! Though I am more than obsessed with soft and sweet Eclipse and I keep thinking of an AU (another one yes) with a detective Eclipse who's super sweet and dealing with a petty criminal Y/N. It's just... so much more lighthearted and romantic, like a rom-com/buddy cop movie but the buddy cop duo in question is a detective in way over his head and a criminal who would rather be anywhere but attached to a cop via a handcuff.

I must say that as much as the idea of Rebecca ACTUALLY getting back together with Rupert is deeply revolting, I loved their little moments this episode (especially at the end) because there is just something so so satisfying about seeing Rupert realize exactly how amazing Rebecca is, and how much he fucked up by losing her, and how completely devastating it is that he will never, ever get her back.

I'm sorry to do this but I can't find the post again (I KNOW I reblogged it less than an hour ago!) and I wanted to ask - in one of your svsss meta posts, you mention that SJ was trying to save Liu Qingge, but it went wrong and everyone thought he murdered him. Is that from the SJ extra? Am I gonna have to reread that haha.

I apologise I don’t have my books on me to check the exact page right now, but this is actually from the airplane extra! It’s not outright stated but it’s heavily implied - SQH is out on a mission with LQG and SJ when they’re still disciples, and he witnesses an event during a fight when SJ attacks an assailant who was behind LQG. Since SJ had fired an attack in his direction, LQG assumes that SJ was trying to attack him in the middle of the fight and gets mad, and SJ is too proud to set the record straight. Later, SQH tries to privately warn SJ that if he ever witnesses somebody having a qi deviation in the future, he shouldn’t blindly rush in trying to save them or else he’ll just make the situation worse.
