Random things I think is going to happen in SVSSS book 2 because I hven’t read it yet

No particular order, just me guessing because I have no idea and I thought it was funny

moshang soulmate au where sqh never wrote mbj a soulmate so when he transmigrated with a soulmark that obviously represents mbj he assumes it's a one sided bond and keeps it hidden bc he doesn't want mbj to pity him or assume he has expectations or ulterior motives,

meanwhile mbj has no idea wtf the airplane shaped soulmark he has could possibly mean but he knows he has to keep it a secret bc its a potential weakness

so he deliberately acts like he doesn't have a soulmate and avoids psychics and plants that could help him locate his soulmate bc if he knew who it was he isn't sure he could stay away

for maximum drama at some point mbj gets poisoned by something where the cure is the blood of your soulmate willingly given and whoever did it is sure this will be a successful assassination bc its common knowledge that mbj doesn't have a soulmate

and mbj is also sure he's going to die bc even if he could find the identity of his soulmate in the very limited time he has left (unlikely) his teleporting powers are already unreliable (effect of poison) and he isn't sure he could get them to willingly give him what he needs anyway

the cure won't work if there's blackmail or bribery involved it has to be pure intentioned or whatever and mbj has self esteem issues tbh

so mbj is sulking about this or whatever and sqh is like "my king forgive me" and slices his palm open and holds his hand over mbjs mouth

and mbj gets to go from wtf to WTF ITS WORKING and how long has sqh known (how long has sqh been KEEPING THIS FROM HIM years of such a secret/lie for what!!! is he that undesirable???)

so he is freaking out and pissed bc "why would you let me dishonour myself by treating my soulmate like a mere servant" or whatever and sqh is very "I didn't want to burden you my king so really we can just pretend this never happened"

and mbj is hashtag coping with a lot of feelings and desperately wants a distraction (or for the world to start making sense even though this revelation makes SO MUCH SENSE) and he asks sqh abt what his weird ass mark shape means +shows it to him

and sqh is now ALSO freaking out bc 1. really? a reference to his handle? what did he do to deserve this and 2. MY KING YOU HAVE A SOULMATE?

then u get the whole "YOURE my soulmate" "obviously I'm your soulmate but I'm your soulmate!?!" and an explanation about one sided bonds (very tragic, mbj feels WORSE knowing what sqh was thinking for years)

for extra pizzazz add in an immediate proposal and "you don't have to marry me just because I'm your soulmate + in love with you" speech where mbj learns that sqh also 1. is in love with him and 2. believes it to be a one sided state of affairs

...the doctor would love for this not to be happening bc it would be really awkward to interrupt and check on how the cure is doing but that's kind of her job

More plots I can’t get out of my head:

Dragon/dragon rider fantasy story told from the point of view of the dragon, who absolutely views its squishy little mortal human pet as the cutest fucking thing ever.

Lou Binghe just being absolutely terrifying and rare and powerful and DRAGON! And then here is this very strait laced proper and dignified Shen Quingqiu as his rider, rather concerned about how absolutely smitten (and terrifying) his dragon is for him and refusing to even look at any of the female dragons they try to match with him. LBH not liking the idea of any other humans or dragons sharing the same space as them. Blocking others with his tail or his wings when they try to interrupt him looking lovingly at his rider, while feigning it as a clumsy accident. Always making sure it’s human is safe and comfortable on its back before taking flight, though not before accidentally undoing the work sometimes so it’s human has to spend more time on him. Hunting? This dragon is so incapable of hunting! His claws are too blunt, his teeth too baby, his muscles too small to successfully kill anything it catches! (All a lie to anyone with eyes.) If only it’s strong and capable human would kill the deer he felled and… maybe prepare it for him? Perhaps give it to this unworthy dragon as a gift to prove how strong and powerful it is? Oh! Such a strong and powerful human! Yes it is!

And then, on the other side of things there is Mobei Jun, a massive and terrifying ice dragon that, for reasons no one can properly understand, has picked the weakest and most pathetic rider of the batch, and seems to enjoy pinning him under his claw like a cat toying with a mouse while the poor rider (does he even count as a rider when the dragon prefers to drag him around by the claw like a prized possession instead of allow him on his back most days?)begs for mercy. Nobody intervenes mostly out of fear of what happened to the last person who tried to rescue the poor rider from the bullying. And if he tries to hide, the dragon has been known to sniff him out and peal open the roof of the house he is trying to recover in just to drag him off and bat him around as punishment for his defiance.

Shang Qinghua be upon ye

i think part of the reason shang qinghua transmigrated as a baby is because he needed more time to think of the story’s world as real. everyone was either his oc or a background character, so he felt a sense of ownership over everyone. so for him to transmigrate as a character whose backstory he may have only had in vague impressions, it probably forced him to interact with characters he didn’t ‘own’ for a long time before he met the ones that were his.

after ten, eleven, twelve years of relying on characters who probably didn’t even exist as faceless nobodies in his novel, he had no choice to think of them as real. watching his parents celebrate the birth of his younger brother and then grieve his death, feeling the way their relationship became strained afterward, seeing them trying to start over with their own new families… the similarity to his first life wasn’t lost on him.

these people were real, their emotions were real—their potential to hurt and to be hurt in exchange—all of it was real.

when he had to be shang qinghua, character and traitor to the sect, he fell back on trying to convince himself that it was all a story anyway. he’d been lying to himself treating it all as real—it was just a novel he wrote decades ago. no reason to ache when he saw the terror in his shizhi’s eyes, their bodies mangled on the ground. no reason to feel sick from the guilt. he had to do it. it was just a story. none of it was real, none of them were real.

shen qingqiu’s grief after the immortal alliance conference was near-legendary. there were stories and poems and songs written about the pain of a seemingly cold master kneeling at his precious disciple’s sword mound and calling out for him day in and day out.

shang qinghua’s grief was buried in productivity. no one commented on how efficient an ding peak was after the conference. how mistakes decreased, processes were streamlined, fewer tasks were delegated away from the the peak lord’s desk. how shang qinghua woke up in a cot on qian cao more often than he’d ever admit.

he wasn’t grieving his lost martial family. there was nothing to grieve. they weren’t real.

maybe soon, he’d start to believe it.

I do think the fandom has the unfortunate habit of babifying Shang Qinghua, due to both shipping and crocodile tears. I personally like the fact he’s a stone cold shark.

This guy set up an event so deadly it killed a significant number of teenagers— some from his own peak that he trained personally— without any visible trace of remorse. SQQ spent years wallowing in the guilt of throwing his little sheep into the abyss, which he knew he would survive. Meanwhile SQH did that and an unknown amount of other shit without batting an eyelid. That man would sell you out for pocket change.

No wonder Mobei Jun thinks he’s hot. Murdering someone in cold blood must be the demonic equivalent of a sexy hair flip.

Cumplane coffee shop au with Shang Qinghua as a barista doing his barista thing while pretending he knows absolutely nothing about PIDW at all no sir not a bit as Shen Yuan (the very hot regular Airplane is absolutely not drooling over he would never don’t suggest such things!!) comes in every day to bitch about the latest update (Shang Qinghua 100% know that Shen Yuan is THE Peerless Cucumber).

Post cannon SQQ thinking that either the demon court has just gotten used to him or have become more tolerant towards humans (either by exposure or LBQ's blood)

In reality, after seeing Consort Shen avoid many different kidnapping (or really any wife plot) attempts that he is the same type of human that Mobei Jun's human is. Both "humans" have ridiculous amounts of knowledge that they shouldn't have. They already clocked it from the northern advisor years ago. They talk strongly around each other and have form of platonic flirting (insulting each other).

They have seen/interacted with other humans, and they don't act like that. So, while they have gotten a bit more tolerant about humans, they don't think of either as humans.
