📕 November Newsletter 📕

Hello, Hello!

I am late again! hihi

The convention went very well! I do have lots of stuff left, so I might re-open my physical shop on ko-fi. I don't know when. I will keep you updated!

I will try to have the zines translated to english and published on itch.io in the following weeks (hopefully, anyway, it's in the works!)

goth boyfriends is back to updating!! There shouldn't be another hiatus until february 2024! I know I will take one between mid march and late april/may. I will tell you more as it draws near!

sketchbook will be up around the 20th as usual! And i will finish 'things that shaped me' and publish it as a free pdf on itch.io along with posting it online! the pdf will just contain behind the scenes and some more stuff!

🧲 - What attracts you to your F/O? What attracts your F/O to you?

Oh that one's a difficult question, mainly because the answer is just; *vaguely gestures at all of him*. I was 13 when I first fell for him, and I really don't remember at all what drew me to him in the first place. I only remember loving him, not how it started.

I just... like his general vibe, I suppose. The calm. Just his presence calms me down. I love that we can have hours of comfortable silence together and we both interpret it as top tier quality time. And I love especially how much he appreciates animals, and nature in general. He's so gentle to even the tiniest creatures, despite being so much larger than them.

Prowl likes that I match him in that sense, that I can be just as quiet as him, and that I love the world just as much as he does. I can be a bit of a nuisance at times (affectionate), but I'd never intentionally interrupt his meditations or scare away creatures he's trying to watch. I'll be right there watching them with him.

And then of course there's also that he's just utterly fascinated by organic creatures, me included. He loves how small and soft I am, and especially that I still trust him completely even though he could break me so easily if he was ever not careful. I know he never would.

🧰 - When packing to go on a trip, what do you and your F/O consider to be essentials?

Depends on where we're going. Prowl doesn't really need anything, he's got his weapons attached to him and I mean, what else does he have? Now that I think about it, none of these guys really own things, do they?

I primarily need clothes, obviously. Toothbrush and soap. Other than that, my phone and charger (generally crucial, but if I was with Prowl, I think I'd be content to turn it off for a few days. But I'll still take it with me for emergencies). A stuffed animal to sleep with is not optional. I like to also take my sketchbook and a couple pencils in case I need to fill some time, and maybe a book.

Thing is, I'll have to make sure everything I pack can fit into a backpack, because otherwise transporting it is going to be difficult. I'll have to get one of those big hiking gear ones so I can get the camping gear in there too; I mean, you try somehow carrying your tent, sleeping bag and mattress on a motorcycle. Prowl doesn't have storage space.

Once he gets his armor upgrade at least we'll have the side cart to put stuff in so I won't have to have it all on my back anymore.

📞 - How often are you and your F/O on the phone?

Not a lot, actually. I'm not a fan of phone calls, and I don't imagine he cares for them much either, beyond necessity. We're both more the type to hang out in person whenever we can. Though if we can't see each other for a while, we may just call each other, I turn on the speaker (his phone is built into his head anyway), and we both do our own thing. Long distance parallel play, if you will. We don't have to talk. I like to just feel his presence.

I do text him a lot though. Mostly pictures of nice places or animals I see, or just to show what I'm currently doing. The occasional meme if I find one I think he'd get. I don't mind if he doesn't always reply, it's just my way of checking in. He does do the same (minus the memes, most of the time).

🏮 - You have the opportunity to go to a lantern festival! Do you and your F/O make a lantern? What does it look like?

Ouhhh I'd love to go to one of those. He'd definitely love it as well. Our lantern has to be nature themed, no way around it. Obviously there is gonna be a cat. I'm thinking possibly a painting of a sakura tree with birds flying around it, or green vines and leaves. I also want to incorporate the autobot symbol if I can find a way to make it look nice.

📕 - Who has more notebooks? Who actually uses more notebooks?

ME. I have two whole drawers full and constantly have to stop myself from buying more. And no I do not use them. Even the ones I do decide to put to use I abandon within a day as soon as the moment of hyperfixation passes, because I don't even need notebooks. I got my phone for all that. And yet.

Prowl might actually use them if they were Prowl-sized. I think he'd write down little animal facts he learns or add little sketches of birds he was watching. Maybe I should try to find one that's big enough, he might actually like it.

📌 - Who forgets things more easily? Who reminds them?

I have no memory space at all, getting to use Prowl's processor to help me remember things would be incredibly helpful. There's a reason I have tens of thousands of photos and screenshots on my phone. My brain deletes everything. If it's not in my calendar, it doesn't exist. I'll watch a show and forget what it was about the moment I turn off my laptop.

Prowl is millions of years old and has presumably good memory of all of that time, so I highly doubt some short-term things would cause him any difficulty to remember. And the entire human lifespan is a short-term thing to him, so we're good on that front.

📍 - You have a corkboard with pictures pinned up of some of your fondest memories with you and your F/O. What do some of the pictures look like? What are the stories behind them?

Oh they're pretty much all outdoor pictures. Pretty places we found while out hiking, animals we saw, definitely both of us holding animals that were brave enough to let us. I love seeing Prowl holding tiny little creatures. Probably a picture of a cat sleeping on the seat of his alt mode. And then of course in the center there's a group picture with the rest of his Autobot crew, because that's his family.

⏰ - Who’s more likely to be early? Who’s more likely to be late?

I'm chronically late for everything no matter what I do. I have accepted this. People know this. Nobody expects me on time anymore.

Prowl seems more like the type to be early, or at least on time, assuming that it's something he cares about going to. He's respectful enough of people's time to not leave them waiting, but if he just really does not care, he'll arrive whenever. He's still learning the whole "team player" thing. He'll show up sooner or later.

But he can be punctual if he wants to be. Unlike me, who may or may not be cursed. You just have to get him to care enough to want to come.

🥩 - Do you or your F/O eat meat? What’s your favorite kind?

Prowl does not, even if he were human. I do, actually. I just grew up with it. I had a brief phase as a kid where I wanted to be a vegetarian, and my father told me in no uncertain terms that if I were to do that, I would be in charge of my own meals, as he would not be providing them. I was 10, so that was not a real option.

My current stance is that I am an omnivore. Humans as a species are meant to eat meat. We're just being real shitty about it and mistreating the animals we eat, plus there's just too many of us. I would love to say I only buy ethically sourced, but unfortunately that also means highly expensive, and I can't afford that. But I need that protein, plus I don't cook and the options for microwave meals and stuff are already limited enough, if I cut out meat I'd have like maybe 2-3 accessible things I can still eat. Plus, I will be honest. I just really like the way it tastes.

I think Prowl would respect it. A lot of creatures eat meat, I'm simply one of them. But if it did bother him, I'd stop. For him, I would stop.

🥓 - What are your and your F/O’s favorite breakfast foods?

I'm not much of a breakfast person. For one I'm not usually hungry right after waking up, and then my sleep schedule also doesn't align with what people would consider to be breakfast times. Though this one time when I was like 15 this one woman my father was dating made "american breakfast" for us when we stayed over and this french toast she made still haunts my dreams. It was magnificent. I have never been able to recreate it. She was a horrible person but sweet lord did she know how to french a toast.

If Prowl wants to feed me I'll let him; my main issue with making food has always been the making part. Put food in front of me and I'll eat it. Even if it means having to taste a lot of experiments because, as much as organic food interests him, it's gonna take a couple of attempts to figure out how to get results that are actually edible. But it's really sweet that he's trying.

Prowl obviously just eats energon considering. You know. Transformer.
