D R E A M S ✨ a few days after dad died I had a really strange dream, unlike anything I had ever had before. It’s a long one so I’ll cut it short: basically I ended up all alone, in the dark after everyone drove off and couldn’t hear me shouting after them. It was the kind of dream where you wake up and your feelings are very much still very real and raw. That day, a message cropped up on Facebook from one of those pick a tarot card things, mine said something about dreams having an important message and that I should start writing them down. Again that same day, I found this gorgeous little notebook in @sainsburyshome and well, I took it as a sign I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️ since then, whenever I have a vivid dream, I write it down to try to decipher it. That first dream I think had an obvious meaning: I’m afraid of being alone. Because that’s how I felt with dad suddenly gone from this earth and my life. The sense of loneliness was the strongest emotion I had ever felt and I felt it the moment I knew he was gone. Since then it’s felt like everyone will leave me or already has. Two months later it’s still hard. I still feel lost and very much alone even though I know I’m really not. I still have people that love and care for me deeply but I guess without dad, things just aren’t the same. I’m not the same. Last night, I had another dream that is semi reoccurring, in it I was flying away from my problems until I got so high I started to fall. But I didn’t hit the ground, Tom caught me. Ironically it was him I was flying away from, in reality I know, he’ll always be there to catch me when I fall, as he always has done. But sometimes I think I’m afraid to be hurt, to be left. So I run away from it, I distance myself. I don’t fully let go or give things a chance for fear of failure.
