hello! i'm the person who sent u this ask almost exactly two years ago (slfcare/663005429422522368/do-you-have-any-advice-on-making-friends-i-have? ). i just wanted to tell you that your advice was incredibly helpful at a super low time in my life, and i'm really grateful. i'm 25 now and i actually have friends !! not a huge amount of best friends but i do have close ones i can talk to now and other lovely people i love hanging out with. it took a long time and a lot of patience and therapy and fear and trying new things, and my life is nowhere near perfect but i no longer feel that crippling loneliness i used to feel, i'm no longer alone at home all the time and i no longer struggle with suicidal thoughts. just wanted to thank you and also give you this little update on my life, in case some of ur followers are struggling with loneliness and making friends, so they can know there's definitely hope for them too if there was for me !! <3

I think this is so Penelope. She has a lot of spunk and brightness in her, but she might feel like she's not good enough. Not being a good enough friend, or not working hard enough (she sees some terrible, terrible things), and like the rest of the BAU, she feels guilt for what could have been. But Garcia more than anyone else on the team has an identity outside of work. She knows who she is, making her the sparkling, bubbly person she is. She protects that and I love that for her. I think I need to hear some of her wisdom and take it in. I adore you, Penelope Garcia, thanks for reminding me to be me.

i used to use instagram but reels have gotten too unhealthy for my brain i think. so i've moved to tumblr. so far i like it way better here honestly

Hello! Ofc I don't mind asks :) I don't follow too many blog cause this is a secondary blog and it's kinda complicated how I move through my main and my secondary ones so... yeah I end up having a mess of random following. Anyway, these are some of the ones I follow and appreciate the most. Ofc if anyone else wants to add more, please do that! I also tend to reblog anytime I bump into a good post, so maybe it can help you find more sources too.

abelia ⇢ do you have a particular piece of jewelry you always wear or can’t part with?

I cannot part with the small (real) mezuzah pendant that my great grandmother passed down to me. It’s very small with a real kosher scroll inside. It’s more valuable to me than any Jewish Star necklace I’ll ever have, because it is a way to express my Jewishness in a way that is beautiful but also safe. It was borne from a people who know what it is to move through the world with pride when it is safe to do so and when it isn’t. And it keeps the meaning and importance of not only my religion but also the matriarch of my family quite literally very close to my heart.
