#small legacy challenge

When I made "Lunar" someone asked for a legacy challenge for human sims. So I finally wrote one!

Since some people don't like big legacies because it takes forever to finish, I made another small legacy! Only 5 gens.

If you know my stories from twitter or my "pamsimmerstories" you know I usually use a lot of adult themes and this is not different, so be aware this can be a little dark.

TW: Spouse death, while giving birth; Drug Use, alcohol and other drugs; Child Abuse, Neglect; Infetility

LEGACY CHALLENGE: "Dream Odyssey"

Basic Rules:

Start as a Young Adult - any gender you want

Normal/Long lifespan (which one you prefer)

You can use freerealestate cheat if you want to begin.

When I put ( / ) is because you can choose what you prefer or if you don’t have said pack you can choose the base game one.

Colors are not mandatory, but it could be fun?!

Requirements: Cottage Living, University, City Living, Nifty Knitting, Horse Ranch, Get Famous, Get Together, Snowy Scape, Island Living, Seasons, Parenthood.

Generation 1: “Dandelions” by Ruth B.

You moved from your parents to live in a big city and go to your dream college (San Myshuno Institute)*. You’ve always wanted to be a doctor/veterinarian and this was finally happening!

One day you met the love of your life in between classes (preferably someone you met that is also at uni) you get married, but one day you caught them cheating and you feel like this is the end of the world.

So you leave everything and go to Henford on Bagley and become a farmer. You meet someone that makes you open up again and you two have a beautiful family.

*if you don’t want to use mods like the ”Long Distance Learning” by Ravasheen, you can just pretend you’re going there living in San Myshuno

Traits: Good, Animal Enthusiast/Loves the Outdoors, The last one you pick, to make things interesting, pick a bad trait like high maintenance

Career: Start as University Student in San Myshuno (you can finish it and start the career or you can just drop university in the middle of your term); End up as a farmer in Henford

Skills: Logic/Vetenerian and Cross-Stitch

Hobby: Cross-Stitch or Knitting

Aspiration: Country Caretaker

Relationship: fall in love at university, get cheated on, runaway to Henford and meet someone new. You can have children with the first one if you want to or you can wait until you meet the second sim. It’s up to you.

Generation 2: “High” by Miley Cyrus

You grew up in the middle of a bunch of animals, your parent was a nature freak and you became one as well. But your kind of animal is a bit different from your parent. You love horses and you dream in live at Chestnut Ridge and have your own horse and participate in competitions and earn money from it.

You find love, but when your wife is giving birth to your baby, she dies (your sim could be a woman and you use cheats to make her pregnant and if you don’t use mods as RPO/Pandasama you can also cheat to kill the sim).

So you see yourself as a single parent juggling between parenting and taking care of your horse and participating of competitions.

Traits: Horse Lover, Rancher, the last trait you choose.

Career: Autonomous as Horse Competitor, you can try odd jobs as well

Skills: Riding, Painting/Nectar Making

Hobby: Painting/Nectar Making

Aspiration: Championship Rider

Relationship: Meet someone, become a widow/er. You can find love again if you wish.

Color: Orange

Generation 3: “No Love In LA” by Palaye Royale

When you were born your mother died and you never met her. Your other parent was always busy with his horses and competitions that you now hate Chestnut.

You want more for your life. As soon as you age up, you go to Del Sol Valley and you’re finally able to follow your dream of becoming a star! You want to be a famous actor/actress. But not everything is like you thought it would be, you thought you would become a 5 star celebrity quickier than you did. But you never give up.

Find a celebrity and get married to them just for fame (I guess you’re gonna need cheats for them to meet).

You'll need the full name of your Sim and the celebrity Sim (or vice versa). If it doesn't work, try " LTR_Friendship_Main" at the end.] (I also never tested this one...but in case you don't have mods, try this)

One day you’re gonna meet someone who’s a nobody and fall in love, you’re gonna cheat on your partner and get pregnant/get someone pregnant.

You have two choices:

leave your spouse and be with your love or

stay in a unhappy marriage and pretend the cheating never happened (if your sim is a male, never talk to the pregnant sim again and one day a child shows up at your door, this is gonna be the heir. And if your sims is a female, pretend the kid is your husband’s child. It doesn’t matter, you’re gonna fail as a parent no matter what).

Traits: Self-Assured, Ambitious, and a bad trait of your choosing

Career: Actor

Skills: Acting, Dancing, Photography

Hobby: Photography and also dancing, go to nightclubs often, drink a lot (if you don’t play with mods pretend your sims is an alcoholic, if you play with mods like basemental your sim is definitely an alcoholic and maybe had a drug addiction, let’s go dark here)

Aspiration: Master Actor

Relationship: Marry for fame and cheat on your partner and get pregnant of impregnate someone this is how your heir is gonna be made.

Color: Red

Generation 4: “Flares” by The Script

Your parent should never be a parent.

You grew up in a spolight because of your parent, but you hate it. Everything is so fucked up and you just want to run away as far as possible.

When you become a teen, you're going to run away from home and go to Mt Komorebi, drop from school and work in a part time job.

To scape your own mind you start a few hobbies such as snowboarding/skiing/climbing.

When you’re young adult you meet someone while doing one of those things and you two fall in love. You two start a family and are very happy.

Traits: Adventurous, Loner, and a trait of your preference

Career: Teen: Part Time Job; Young Adult: Salaryperson

Skills: Two of these: (You can choose: Snowboarding/Skiing/Climbing)

Hobby: Choose two from 3 (Snowboarding/Skiing/Climbing)

Aspiration: Extreme Sports Enthusiast

Relationship: Find love when your sim is a young adult and this sim is gonna be actually happy :)

Your parents were loving and you loved Mt Komorebi, but you feel like you need to run away from the cold mountains of Mt Komorebi.

When you grow up you want to live in a summery place, so you choose Sulani.

You fall in love more than once, but your relationships never work. You’re also infertile, but you want a kid so baaaad, so you decide to adopt one after years of trying.

You're going to raise a kid alone, maybe get yourself a dog as well? You want to be the best parent someone could be.

Traits: Family Oriented, Child of the Ocean, and a third trait of your choosing

Career: Any of the freelancer careers

Skills: Parenting, Flower Arrenging/Singing

Hobby: Flower Arrenging/Singing

Aspiration: Superparent

Relationship: All your relationships will fail, no matter how hard you try. One day you finally realize it and just accept that you’re going to be alone and you can be happy like this. Then you adopt a child (could be a baby if you want to) and maybe a pet as well.

(EN) SIMS 4 Monster High Legacy Challenge!!!

Hi guys! First post on tumblr, kinda excited. For a long time I've been struggling with attempting new Sims 4 legacy challenges, as I couldn't find any that also go into newer packs. I've played Not So Berry a bunch of times (never actually finished lol), and it inspired me to go into a rabbithole of legacy challenges. Before we start, this challenge was inspired by a Sims 3 Monster High challenge made by simmingsamantha.tumblr.com. I took A LOT of inspiration (especially in the beggining) when making this challenge, so please, make sure to check them out. <3 This challenge was made inspired by my fav characters from Monster High. You don't need to make your sims look like the dolls, there's specific color suggestions but also - you don't need to follow them. Play the challenge the way YOU are going to enjoy it! NOW ONTO THE BASIC RULES! 1. Normal lifespan, 2. No cheats, unless stated otherwise, 3. I suggest using the color combos provided to make the game look more interesting, 4. Every generation is supposed to complete their career and aspiration (unless stated otherwise). 5. For two legacies I am using mods to expand the occult gameplay - they're going to be linked next to the generations. You don't have to use them.

After an official paranormal consultation (aka talking to Mrs. Odie) it was possible to know that Talia had been cursed on purpose. Tia did not hesitate to sell her restaurant and apartment as soon as possible and move somewhere else to protect her family. We now find ourselves in the quiet Magnolia Promenade - a fine shopping neighborhood moderately close to Willow Creek, but far enough away to be boring and uneventful.

In addition to Tiana's money, Nav was able to recover his fortune by being a little less green and they were able to buy a very demure, very mindful manor house. Additionally, Tia has become a food critic and Nav resumed his career as a musician. He's taking it seriously this time. And Talia? She's being cute, as usual.

“They ought to be back by now…” Daisy murmured. "I bet the car gave out and sent ‘em flyin’ straight into a ravine,” Rose teased.

Daisy gasped, clutching her hands to her chest. “Rose, don’t say such things! Auntie says you can speak things into being.”

Aster frowned looking down at Rose who was laying across his lap “That doesn't even make sense. If it broke down, it would’ve stopped moving, how’s it supposed to fly into anything?”

“How do you know?!...You two have no imagination,” Rose huffed. “They’re fine. If anything bad happened, we’d know by now. Can’t you both loosen up? We’ve got the whole house to ourselves. We could do anything!”

“Like get in trouble?” Aster replied.

“We’re supposed to be in bed anyway,” Daisy added.

Rose rolled over onto her belly, “This is why y’all are no fun.”

“That’s why you always end up with switch marks,” Aster shot back.

“Wimp.” Rose teased, grinning.

“I’ll tell Mama you’re bein’ mean!”

“Tattletale.”

A pause settled and for a moment, the teasing seemed to have passed—until Rose slowly turned, caught Daisy’s eye, and silently mouthed the word: "Baby." to Aster.

“STOPP!” Daisy screeched.

“Shut up!” Aster groaned, clapping his hands over his ears. “Will you both quit it? Mama and Auntie Lucile are fine, Rose is just trying to get a reaction out of you.”

Rose flopped dramatically. “Ugh! I’m just so bored! They left us with nothing to do until morning. It's not my fault I can’t sleep.”

“....Well~” Rose sprang to her feet and leapt from the landing down to the ground below. “I’m goin’ swimmin’!”

Aster blinked. “You numbskull, it’s October. The water’s probably freezin’. Go on then, freeze to death.”

Rose spun on her heel, arms crossed. “Who cares? I’m old enough to decide for myself.”

“…Y’all can stay here like babies if you want. But I’m goin’.”

Rose was halfway down the hill when Aster cursed under his breath and started to follow after her, what kind of brother would let his sister march off alone? And Daisy, couldn’t bear to be left behind.

The path to the river was cool and the moon hung low behind the clouds. Aster’s grand plan of staying dry and keeping watch crumbled as soon as Rose started stripping down to her underthings.

“I'm not jumpin’ in.” Aster began looking over to see Daisy was already shimmying out of her gown, folding it neatly over a nearby rock.

“Fine." Rose called out, "Be bored and frozen if you want,” throwing her nightgown on the ground and wading confidently toward the water.

“…Fair point.” he muttered.

The water was cold, so cold it made their teeth chatter, but it was fun. Before long, they forgot they were sneaking out. Without any grown-ups around, their ideas started getting a little... reckless. Normally, after every swim, they’d jump off the cliffs beside Josephine or Aunt Lucile looking after them. So really, taking turns throwing each other off the edge wasn’t that different.

Their new apartment was a little on the poky side but the girls were determined to make the most of having a space that is just theirs.

Ever since Leah's passing, the old Jones home had stayed empty, only the graveyard still in use and kept in the general family ownership. With nobody left to look after it, the house had quickly become overgrown with plants, but the family did not mind. If anything, it felt as though their ancestors were given new life through them.

The funeral was not just for Edward, either. Just that morning, Tilly's partner Everett had passed away, too. Since him and Edward had been friends since school years, before him and Tilly had even met, it did not come as a surprise, though that did not make it any less sad.

Christine was now the only member of the family left that had actually been born in the old house. With that thought in the back of her mind, she looked upon the graves in front of her, knowing that it likely was her turn next. Her husband Parker, who was stood just behind her, seemed to notice her pensiveness and gently stroked her shoulder, while their three children almost subconsciously moved closer in support.

Once everyone had broken off into separate groups, Emma sat down on the stairs with her brother, accompanied by their partners, for some catching up time. It had been a while since they had talked, apart from general family gatherings, since Emma was busy with the kids during the day, and Kenneth was often with his band at nights.

Aside from that, Kenneth and Tia had been busy with more than just music. Their romantic involvement had come to a level at which they had decided to just go and tie the knot. Feeling so elated after one of their performances, they had ran off to the town hall to elope, just the two of them.

Of course, Emma felt a bit sad about the fact that she was not at her brother's wedding, but she understood that a quick ceremony without big announcements was much more his style. Mostly, she was happy that he had found his way in life, and Tia was a lovely person, so he was in good hands. Deep down, she knew their father would have thought the same, and she made sure Kenneth knew about this, too. And still, even if not on the wedding day itself, the two siblings could have a late celebration some other day, or Emma would make sure to remind Ken about it until they did.

Tatiana: "Right, I now wish he'd have been there with us."

Kenneth: "Well, in between gigs, we sort of... eloped."

Emma: "What!? And you didn't invite me?"

Kenneth: "Hey, the point of eloping is that nobody's invited."

Tatiana: "We would have, had it been any other way."

Kenneth: "Though now I wonder how it might've been with Dad around."

Emma: "Oh, you know he's always been your biggest supporter. He'd be proud either way. But you've got to invite Niall and me for dinner some time to make it up to us!"

MORE DETAILED DIALOGUE BELOW

She’s perplexed when Carson officially invites her over for breakfast one morning. It’s funny; Madison has used his bathroom more times than she can count these past couple weeks—she’s surprised Carson even let her—and yet it’s sitting down with him, alone in his trailer, that puts her off.

For no reason, she finds because Madison is somehow immediately comforted by the no-bullshit tone. With Heath currently the closest person she has to a friend in this place, the types of people Madison likes surrounding herself with have become much more apparent. Still, there’s a moment when they’re sitting down in silence, waiting for the food to finish cooking, staring at each other, where it’s back to a not-comfortable, not quite awkward silence. What little small talk that could be made has already been said since her arrival. What's your name? Any family? Pets in the old world? Favorite music? Hobbies?

Despite how unwelcoming he appears, Carson hardly does much work in being a closed book. She knows he doesn’t have any family, that he was here on this abandoned piece of land first and only begrudgingly allowed the others in after the Dead rose up, and that he’s practically, accidentally prepared for the end of the world with his comparability on living off the grid (which he apparently did prior), hunting game, and other mechanics.

“You just gonna sit there?” Carson stands up, presumably to check on the food. “Tell me more about yourself,” he says, gruff voice edging on an accent Madison can’t pick up on. She wonders, distinctly, if he’s even from Brindleton Bay.

“There’s not much else to say,” Madison answers, leaning back against the folded chair. Why the hell did he invite her here in the first place?

“You said you have family—“ Madison can immediately he’s going to push on her earlier vague answer. “—Who were they?”

“Does it matter?” She looks down at a hanged nail. “They’re probably gone.”

Carson looks back at her. “All the more reason to talk on them. Keep them alive.” Madison’s face goes incredulous, and he glowers at her, lips curled down tight. It fits better on him.

Madison sighs and relents. “Okay. Well, before all this… I had my mom and dad—I was on my way visiting them when it happened… Um, I have a cousin… No, two cousins. And my aunt and uncle,” she blows a breath out. With how estranged she was with her biological uncle, it was a miracle that she and her cousin, Margaret, even continued speaking to each other in adulthood.

“Hm,” Carson places a plate in front of her. He’s loud, chair scratching against the floorboard, when he sits down. “Maybe they’re alive.”

Madison entertained that idea, too. Maybe her cousins—she doubts it—but her parents? “Probably not,” she responds, tone made of steel, despite how it hurts. Perhaps she could’ve fixed her relationship with them if all this hadn’t happened. She had tried and then the fucking apocalypse occurred. Maybe that’s the sign she wouldn’t have. Maybe they would’ve fucked it up again.

“It’s a small town,” Carson reasons, Madison doesn’t know why. “I wouldn’t drop my hopes on it.”

A statement easier said than done, because, to move forward, Madison feels like she has to.

Lucy could not get out of the house quicker - so the night of her 18th birthday she snuck out to meet Joseph and head for the train station.

She felt conflicted about leaving her family. Although she felt they had treated her badly, she knew that her leaving like this would crush them. Lucy worried that she might never get to see them again. Would they even want to now that she had defied them?

As soon as they entered the train station a feeling of relief washed over her. Lucy felt free. A feeling she had only felt when playing in the fields as a child, making flower crowns with her friends, and the first time her and Joseph had shared their first kiss. She realized she didn't care that she was leaving her family anymore. She would rather be happy.
