Going into this tree, I expected Brambleclaw to turn out ginger just like Leafpool... only I win! Smallear is described as grey and Speckletail is ginger, which means Goldenflower has to be tortie, going back to canon black tabby Brambleclaw

Other changes involve Harpounce going from light brown to tortie because Speckletail has to get the ginger from somewhere

More of the fan interpretation comes in for Sasha, Mothwing, and Hawkfrost. Sascha is a tawny brown cat with darker paws/face/tail, so I made her a mink colourpoint. However, Mothwing is meant to be ginger and Hawkfrost is a dark tabby, so she also has to be tortie. But then because Tigerstar is a dark tabby, Mothwing also has to be tortie. Luckily making them both colourpoints helps hide the different colours. Also Hawkfrost being a lynx point is just a cool design

Design Notes:

I havent drawn this guy in AGES. for context: my previous design of him was from when I was trying to make warriors genetically accurate, so I made him orange.

He is no longer orange! also he isnt Lion and Golden's dad anyway so it doesnt matter.

I designed him to be big and fluffy! I gave him a big mane and fluffy mustache like Lionheart bec he may not be Lion's dad but he is his uncle!

He's just an old guy, I dont have much to say...

he is the same as in canon, though he dies in the fire before the first arc's end. Also he is not mates with Specklesnap nor are her kits his.

He's just vibin, I feel like he was a patrol guy who lived to an ancient age and is now just enjoying retirement

oh also he got the name "Small" because he was the smallest of his litter.... however he grew up to be bigger than all of his siblings hehe

It kinda drives me nuts when people claim that tawnypelt leaving for tigerclan made sense because when you reread the darkest hour, tawnypaw is reported missing AS firestar returns to camp with mistyfoot, featherpaw, and stormpaw after witnessing stonefur be killed in tigerclan camp. Tawnypaw would have come to a tigerclan camp with a huge bone pile and rotting prey and the aftermath of stonefur being murdered, possibly with his body still there. Yes in thunderclan there were cats like smallear shown being rude to her but also leadership like firestar actively encouraging her, and her mother and brother who loved her. any notion that tigerstar was a good enough father to make ALL THAT worth it is fan speculation and not present on the page. (and because wc fans always seem to take it this way first, this is not an Attack on tawnypelt, who is not real and has no agency in her decisions. this is a criticism of the writers.)
