Canonically, him staring intensely at her like that is really unsettling, but I found a way to make it awkward and humorous.
Much like Shouto, I headcanon that Endeavor is also extremely socially awkward and might not have even noticed that Rei was mentally trying to figure out if he'd blinked yet.
In the Ambush Sim AU, and for MHA in general, I also have a headcanon for Rei that she used to be a professional snowboarder, and she was a relatively successful snowboarder, even competing internationally. Being that accomplished, she would have had sponsors using her image to promote their brand, which means her photo could have appeared in posters, magazines, and other advertising spaces. Endeavor might have seen her picture in those spaces, he'd subconsciously registered her as a semi-familiar face, but since she wasn't another hero, he didn't have much reason to commit her to memory.
Cue this formal introduction and meeting her in person.
"I wasn't trying to be creepy, I was just trying to figure out where I'd seen you before!"

Hey Miko! You’re probably tired of writing sweet stuff by now, but could we get a few more stories about Anya calming Curly down? They’re both insanely cute! Thanks so much!
Hi there, friend! 😊💙 Coming right up!
TW: Detailed description of a panic attack, curse words, toxic masculinity
Curly can handle demanding sports like snowboarding and waterskiing. He can handle high-adrenaline thrills like extreme roller coasters and drop towers. He can even handle skydiving if he really has to. Those flight simulation tests he conducted for PE molded him into the perfect specimen to handle almost anything thrown at him. Well, almost anything. What PE didn't prepare him for was how to handle the emotions that arose anytime anything reminded him of Jimmy.
It doesn't take much. And all it took today was seeing a glimpse of long, slicked-back brown hair peeking through the rows of fresh produce bins and the bustling shoppers pushing grocery carts.
It starts with a rush of heat surging through his body. His hands tremble. He drops his bag of apples onto the floor.
"Shit," he mumbles, bending over to pick up the bag.
Anya immediately notices and kneels next to him. His breathing is shaky, and his pupils are dilated.
"Don't worry about the apples," Anya whispers as she gently takes his hand in hers, rubbing soothing circles into his palms.
Curly looks up at the people walking by. They're staring.
What kind of a man panics in the middle of a grocery store? The self-judgment whispers.
Curly attempts to push himself off the floor, only to fall back down onto his knees. More people stare, this time with disapproving scowls.
Get up, you fucking pussy. It isn't his own words.
The rush of blood and his thrumming heartbeat pound in his eardrums. Everything around him is fuzzy.
Anya's arms wrap around him and pull him up. He's on his feet now, shuffling into a family bathroom. A door lock clanks. He's clutching his chest, sitting on the dirty, piss-stained floor.
Anya is in front of him again.
"Curly, take deep breaths," Anya's voice is muffled.
Curly inhales, exhales, inhales, exhales... inhales...
When his vision clears, he's greeted by Anya. Wonderful, caring Anya sitting in front of him on the dirty floor. He looks down and finds his hands in hers.
Without giving it a second thought, he wraps his arms around her in an embrace. Anya embraces him in return, resting her head in the crook of his neck. Her warm breath against his hair soothes any residual nervousness.
Curly takes one final deep inhale, exhale...
"Thank you, Anya," he whispers.

i tried not to but. im going to have to live blog the jaffactory stream its too good (i'll just edit this post)
funnies
lewis crashed a plane into a tree and the hard cut to it was amazing
simon's stupid little wet lunch adventure
lewis has called simon dad, lad and duncan so far "i'm your daddy, right lewis?" "stop talking about my genitalia lewis - i'm your father, show some respect"
the modpack is not very well optimised lmao
duncan hasn't turned off his discord notifications, harry's POV has broken and they have already cheated in EXP for a bit
they have now started playing terrible trivia
lewis trying so hard to drop lore but simon keeps making funnies. simon everything you say is so cursed, i've missed this. please stop talking about whale tits.
"we are very confused here, at the yogscast. we don't see gender."
"none of us have had sex, thats for damn sure" LEWIS
"classic jaffa factory - just found another secret lewis hole" lewis is now eating the fuckin mountain. he also fell into his own hole. well done lewis.
"lewis i need you to fill my hole" SIMON??
all spruce all the time.
now this is chat not the boys, but everyone is talking about when he 'put the heating on' in SOI, and also a bit about lysander whenever the blimp shows up
simon accusing lewis of being a richboy snowboarder.
simon is in creative diughifgh - he's back in creative again thats so valid of him. oh no, he's infected lewis (they are running out of time for the stream, to be fair) - oh no, not barry too!!
lewis and simon fighting to the death for the intro
lewis' laugh at simon's jokes are so loud they blow out the mic <3 <3
"no one has ever mentioned the tick rate on the server, i think we got away with it"
apparently bullying a high duncan is an office hobby
the cable car is *so* blorped i love it so much. everyone keeps falling out
duncan got stuck in spectator mode which is hilarious
please never let simon build a man again. santa 2 is so cursed.
new lore
canonically they just woke up at the jaffa site, they didn't walk there, nor do they remember how they got there
officially confirmed that the crashed ship is from Hole Diggers' cheese incident
israphel mention
honeydew's office is extra dimensional and also he doesn't own the jaffa factory, he sold it
CLONES MENTION??? "I'm - I'm starting to worry we're all clones" "We've had some history with cloning - you wouldn't remember though, would you [Honeydew]?"
this honeydew might actually be an earlier clone - from prior to holediggers?
im sure this is not actually lore - but the 'this xephos may be a honeydew clone' bit is hilarious
rocket stuck in ice tower (the jokes are predicable but very funny)
ominous helmet now fused to honeydew's head via curse of binding.
oh no honeydew has a gun
new book is referencing the og 'santa with a belt below the ass' from jaffactory 1
hypercube reference!!!
giant present just dropped from space - xephos' body at the feet of the statue is sending me
xephos loving his little plane is so sweet to me. love this. hes very protective about it.
THE STICK IS BACK!!! poor xephos is getting smacked again.
so many spoilers!! we are getting jetpacks back again (update - only lalna has one so far!)
xephos remains a hoarder. he has so much random crap on him at all times.
xephos deaths so far this stream: at least 2
the fast tick rate is, in fact, canon. is it magic? is it a simulation? who knows!
"[Honeydew] why is the bathroom on fire?" the whole building almost burnt to the ground. the bathroom now has a snake it in. he lives there. he's xeph's little buddy.
"Yippe!!" Brry and Xeph having fun on a trampoline, much cuter that the very cursed last half hour of the stream.
only just noticed the blue detailing on xeph's backpack which is very very cute - honeydew's also suits him!
everyone sitting on the couches by the fireplace is so cute
Brry went into the portal - Lalna's dead body is still on the tracks - thats how the stream ended, with him yelling "I DONT WANNA BE HERE"

TIL Carbó-Mascarell (of the "witch finding cat in the Alps" tweet fame) has apparently made several games with a similar setting/premise, which makes the tweet boil down to “I wish my games were well-written”
I am counting one self-described walking simulator set in the Swiss Alps (in the 1920s??? once again not just white but White white) and several miscellaneous "attend an event where a tension occurs that will either be mostly insignificant or bothersome" type games that only exist on itch.io
Also I like dunking on this person as much as the next gal, but let's be COMPLETELY fair here. I think my writing abilities are pretty good, but if I was measuring myself up against Disco Elysium, I would also feel like a fraud any day of the week.
The underlying issue is twofold. First was the massive anti-intellectualism and incuriosity inherent in the tweet itself. Second is the tragedy of this impossible dream. Disco Elysium has baller presentation, but what made it great was its substance. It had things to say, and it knew how to say them. I can't really fault the writing capacity of "lie in bed with your best friend and make major life decisions" because it is, by its nature, not designed to have really great writing overtures or grand themes. It's a snapshot of a moment, basically. And that can be artistic or even Good. But a nothing slice of life not-even-animal crossing type game with Disco Elysium's presentation is going to remain a nothing slice of life not-even-animal crossing type game. "Witch in the alps but you're fucking shredding on a snowboard" is at least enough of an idea to have legs, because while it might not have Disco Elysium writing, it ain't trying to be. It's trying to be about you shredding like hell.
Disco Elysium is really good from a game design perspective. But if you want Disco Elysium writing style and philosophy? You've gotta be insane, angry, and really sad, but able to laugh about it.

Wahoo GC game recommendations:
Ill get the usual games out of the way first:
F-Zero GX, Chibi Robo, Luigi's Mansion, Monkey Ball 1 & 2, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Crazy Taxi, Eternal Darkness, WarioWare mega party games, Sonic Adventure DX & 2, SoulCalibur 2, Residen Evil 4, Metroid Prime, Ikaruga, Pikmin, Time Splitters.
Fantastic games but most people are familiar with them so here's a few odd balls:
Kidou Senshi Gundam: Gundam Vs. Zeta Gundam - Port of the arcade game, JP only (it does have a PS2 port that did make it over)
*Sidenote/not really a recommendation
*Kidou Senshi Gundam: Senshitachi no Kiseki - I uhh... im not sure what to say about this one. Its the only gundam game exclusive to GC. I haven't played enough of it to really say much about it but its always interesting to look through the GC's JP exclusives
R:Racing Evolution - Ridge Racer's simulation racing spinoff, surprisingly fun with a killer soundtrack to boot
(sidenote: highly recommend checking out the extra CD of the soundtrack release, an amazing 30 minute continuous mix of the whole thing)
1080° Avalanche - Fantastic sequel to the original 1080° and my personal favorite snowboarding game next to PSP SSX on Tour
Wave Race: Blue Storm - Underrated sequel to Wave Race 64! the most beautiful water Ive ever seen any game. Really dang fun!!
Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader - Really fun air combat deal. takes a sec to get used to and it is a difficult but its fully worth it
THPS/THUG - This id rather suggest on PS2 because that controller feels way more natural for THPS but a little of the gamecube version doesnt hurt. If I recall the home console version do have widescreen too as opposed to the PC ports
Zatch Bell: Mamodo Battle - fun 3D fighter but 8ing/Raizing
Bloody Roar: Primal Fury - Revision of Bloody Roar 3, another 3D fighter by 8ing/Raizing
Resident Evil 2/3 - Resident Evil is a very easy recommendation for GC, with Remake and 4 being on the system but I want to spotlight the ports of Resident Evil 2 and 3 as they are the best versions of each
In the case of 2, fitting both campaigns into one disc and having all the content of later releases
They both have better texture filtering, higher quality FMVs but not much else outside of that
They're alright
Mr.Driller: Drill Land - JP only but doesn't require a lot of knowledge to figure out for the most part. The best Mr.Driller entry! Featuring a fantastic soundtrack, multiple game modes, a simple and silly story mode and just generally having the same gameplay that makes the series a blast to play. It did receive a remaster through Namco's encore line of remasters (like Klonoa and Katamari) with an english release too.
Beyond Good and Evil - not exclusive to GC but incredibly good nonetheless
Capcom Vs. SNK 2 EO - GC groove is the worst thing to ever implemented in a fighting game, its amazing (its a good port of CvS2)
Chaos Field Expanded - Updated port of Chaos Field, might as well have it next to Radirgy :3 (The original mode is neat)
Donkey Konga 1-3 - Very fun rhythm games! pretty much taiko no tatsujin with bongos
Viewtiful Joe 1&2 - Tough learning curve but some of the most satisfying and simple combat in any game ive ever tried. Absolutely fantastic.
XIII - Port of the PC name based on the belgian comic of the same name, been going through this one myself actually. its really fun and youd probably have a better time on PC but its still fun on console!
Auto Modelista - Genuinely hot ass! its really fucking bad! the original JP PS2 version is slightly better but all version of the game suck... but damm it the aesthetics are so damm cool and the soundtrack is killer. its worth checking out for a moment.
Kururin Squash - sequel to Kururin Paradise, a little game with a top down perspective focused on going through courses with a little helicpter (akin to irritating stick), really fun and it being the first entry in the series with full analog control adds a lot to it.
Phantasy Star Online EP 1-3 - Currently chipping away at these myself but I know enough people that love every game in this series to say that its worth a shot
Hudson Selection Vol. 1: Cubic Lode Runner - the budget for this game was 1 dollar but I cant hate it, P fun if not a bit frustrating at times.
Killer7 - yeah.
Virtua Striker 3 Ver.2002 - Sega can make a good sports game alright
Spider-Man 2 & Ultimate Spider-Man - have had these two recommended to me a few times, I can vouch for the former despite its jank. The latter im mainly suggesting because of general good word of mouth
NBA Street V3 - You can play as mario. its so stupid, its great askjdhaskjdas
Star Fox Assault - its REALLY fun, the mix of air combat and third person on land combat is executed really well!
Geist - Geist
F-Zero GX - Ok I know I already said F-Zero GX but thats like. Its one of my favorite racing games ever and I really like it and just typing it out just made me think "man I should really play more GX". Its really good.
Super Robot Wars GC - The gamecube's entry on the long running mecha crossover JRPG series, it has received a complete translation patch. These games are REALLY fucking long but its worth checking out!
Apologies if I made this list too long or you're familiar with most of these titles. I hope it helps in any way
Thank you so much for putting this together! Excited to check these out.

Overall personality and things Sloane likes to do to pass time / stay connected to humanity
WRITERS NOTE: this is just information regarding Sloane to help formulate plots, threads etc. I always welcome plots/threads that are based off of lore bits that I write!
Tumblr media
Meeting Sloane for the first time, she definitely has her guard and a mask up when interacting with people. She's not evil, but she's not good either. Sloane is the type to keep new acquaintances at "arms length" but show enough vulnerability that she can be "relatable."
She'll share details about her life in a way that it could satisfy the other person. If she's pressed further, she'll either entertain the idea or shut conversation down by completely changing the subject as a whole.
When she's working at Lion's Den( LD ), she'll put on her typical "customer service" expression and voice. Some find it charming, others "could" find it annoying and "could" easily see that she's faking given the environment of a bar. Sloane isn't against flirting for better tips or pouring heavy for men and women whom she finds attractive and wants to get to know.
As for her demonic traits, her time she's a demon, she can get a sense of her soul chipping away piece by piece due to her contract with Dagon. Her emotions are heightened along as senses. Therefore, she feels things very deeply and passionately. However, her strongest trait is being cold and distant. She does have a demonic voice that whispers to her, and it often tries to convince her to do things she doesn't particularly want to do or say. Some days, she'll feed into it. Other times, she can push it in the back of her mind and ignore it.
Some of the ways Sloane stays connected to her humanity is by doing typical human activities that can channel all her emotions. This helps her stay busy and not get so caught up in her mind.
The following activities include, but are not limited to:
find hobbies that she enjoys ( painting, playing instruments, dancing, archery, cooking, baking, etc )
go out on dates even though she's not looking for a relationship ( she's very frequent on dating apps and is very upfront about what she wants )
obviously have one-night stands ( she'll mention this is dating apps from the get go, she has the highest body count out of three Atlas' and she's fucking proud of it )
do adrenaline seeking activities ( rock climbing without gear, snowboarding difficult slopes, bungie jumping, really anything that "could" risk her life )
watch cheesy rom-com movies ( she doesn't particularly like them but she likes to get new songs from the soundtracks )
reading horror, romance, spicy romance novels, Manga, Web.toons, really anything to pass the time.
Very low maintenance video games that don't involve a lot of thought ( hack-n-slash games, butterfly effect games, simulators, she has a fondness for animal crossing )
Shopping
Clubbing
Overall, Sloane is very open to trying new things and always seeks adventure. Given her dynamic with Dagon, she tries her best to avoid him unless she absolutely needs him. Dagon, on the other hand, summons her as he pleases, and she's not very fond of it.

something I hear Sims Youtubers say sometimes which is 100% so untrue for me:
"the Sims gets boring because you use cheats to give them money and keep their needs high. you remove the challenge when you cheat these things away and that's why you're bored"
totally my personal opinion but for me it is the exact opposite. Having to constantly worry about money in the game is what's boring. Going to a rabbit hole job, or an active career full of repetitive, meaningless tasks in order to be able to make garden salad for dinner is boring. Not having the funds to buy gameplay objects is boring, because I like variety, not watching my Sim "read a random book" for the fifteenth time today.
Sims becoming Uncomfortable every two minutes because of how fast their needs drain makes me feel like a bad parent, lol, which I know is unreasonable but it's true! I don't enjoy grumpy sims. I like them to be any other emotion than Uncomfortable. "it's part of the challenge" but it's NOT challenging - the fixes for this is usually very very simple, just eat some food! - i mean realistic but still frustrating.
It's also that... like, avoiding cheats does NOT make the game more challenging if you have even a vague sense of what to do. Because if your sim is in the wrong emotional state, all you gotta do is light some incense. Sick? Drink some green tea, no need to go to the doctor. So many of the "challenges" in the game are alleviated almost as easily without cheats as with. On top of that, they don't even feel like challenges! Again, they're mostly small, repetitive, and meaningless. There's no sense of accomplishment because I made sure my sim got to the toilet before they peed on themself. Besides, they'll surely almost wet themself again soon. (And if I happen to be in a public venue where people are constantly talking and my sim can't extricate themself from the "chat" queue in a timely manner, even my best efforts won't save their underwear! Hmm, you know what works in that scenario? TELEPORT CHEAT.)
I have tried playing rags to riches with no cheats. I didn't quit because it was too hard. (I play on long life span, aka easy mode lol!) I quit because I was BORED TO TEARS. The minute I made my sims millionaires and bought them every skill-building activity there is, I was having a lot more fun, because watching nonexistent simulated people go to sleep, use the bathroom, eat, go to work, complain about low needs, go to sleep, use the bathroom, eat, go to work OVER and OVER and OVER again is NOT FUN. I've watched rags to riches let's plays where after "beating" the challenge, the player just continued playing as a rich sim! Like they didn't suddenly get bored and go "gee I wanna be poor again, let's donate everything to charity and start over."
So yeah I have no doubt some people love rags to riches and maybe there really are some players who eschew cheats no matter what. But that is noooot going to cut it for me, not ever. Not with this game. The one thing that makes Sims 4 still playable for me is variety and that's why I don't want packs like Lovestruck, which, come on guys, it's just new dressing to gameplay that already exists. I like packs that actually bring new activities and new goals and skills. I like packs (rare as they are) that expand on existing activities, like when Island Living gave us new fish to catch and the ability to build on waterfront lots (which is STILL stupidly restricted to Sulani, WHY). I like the silliness of Cottage Living's obsidian chicken. I like watching my sims wipeout on the snowboard. And climbing Mt Komorebi, while IMO actually not challenging enough (because I beat it at level 5/6 - without cheats I should mention - when the max is 10 but there's no greater challenge from there so I haven't been motivated to finish building the skill).
I do NOT like rabbit holes or endlessly grumpy sims or ugly houses or repetitive gameplay. My sims are always traveling and always doing something new. I literally gave my sims family infinite money just so I could move them to a different lot every other week and build them a new house so I'll have something new to look at. (btw I used to struggle because I'd set these lots as generic, since you can't own multiple homes, but then they would be invaded by townies... I've since learned that if you set your McMansion to "national park," no one will bother you at all bahahahaha!)
yeah anyway. Sims 4 play styles are as diverse as humans. I don't envy the Sims team the job of trying to engage as many of us as possible lol. But I do think, for me at least, it's relatively simple: 1) add something new, 2) let it look good (gawd those fugly eyelashes!), 3) let it FUNCTION PROPERLY. don't make it too complicated okay. Don't make, for example, a Finchwick fair in which only one guy besides my sim will participate, and somehow his "normal" quality apple pie wins over my "excellent" quality one lol. Multiple times I might add x'D (But also don't make a mountain that can be successfully summited at level 5 but the rock climbing skill has 10 levels)

Ambush Simulation: The Antarctica Trip
Endeavor: Ninety percent of every strange and random thing that's happened in my life I can attribute to my wife. Have you ever woken up from a nap in your hotel suite and walked out to find half a dozen snowboarders dressed only in their underwear and snuggies while they played a game of Monopoly they borrowed from the hotel lost and found?
Hawks: ...no, but it sounds like a vibe.
Endeavor: ...
Best Jeanist: ...do you know why they were underdressed?
Endeavor: Yes. They'd all been doing contrast temperature therapy where they'd been sitting in the sauna and then running outside into the freezing air. Apparently putting clothes back on was too tall an order.
Rei: *from the other room* Contrast therapy is good for blood circulation, and we did ask if you wanted to join us.
Best Jeanist: The contrast therapy or the Monopoly game?
Mirko: Ma'am, you sound fun. Are you still this fun? Do you want to get a drink?
...
Maybe I should just do a one-shot about that trip.
Because I do want to explore the dynamic of Endeavor and Rei's early relationship before it went bad.

Sonic (The Hedgehog)
Sonic is effectively a simulation of what happens if an AI guided missile gains sentience. This is most apparent in Sonic Adventure 2 [SA2], where he is literally dropped from an aircraft carrier in a guided missile strike against the Military Industrial Complex.
[SA2] set the defacto standard on what a Sonic game *should* be, with the follow up handheld titles following in its footsteps. Bringing the new mechanics to the old style 2D platformer we know and love.
The latest Sonic Game approaches a post civilization SonicWorld very much in the same vein of the FFXIV Endwalker expansion. Melancholy, devoid of hope, devoid of other people to interact with. But endless expanses to explore. And memories to reminisce about.
This feels like a sequel to the failed SonicRPG.
[SA2] set the standard because this was a time where extreme sports dominated our culture. Skateboarding, BMX, MotoX, Snowboarding, even Rollerblading occasionally became huge.
SA2 cashed in because Sonic was the poster-child for Extreme Sports. He was biologically designed to be extreme.
There's a series of Mods for Jet Set Future, one includes a modification of the first SA1 level with some JetSet mechanics included.
Essentially playing JetSet, while completing a sonic level.
This is how I feel a Sonic title should be. Faster, Extreme, and Stylish. Take away the points for chaining tricks together and use the tricks as alternate modes of getting towards your goal, and that's what a Sonic game should feel like.
The latest Sonic game, while I haven't played very much of it, seems to have a mindset of putting a bunch of different visually interesting launch pads to change the dynamics of traversal, but it feels more sandbox-y. More like a SkatePark. Not that it's a bad thing. SA1 features something similar, being able to run around the world exploring before jumping into the next painting to collect stars to unlock the next stage and new areas.
Oh wait .. did I get my games mixed up? I don't think so it, that sounds right.
What Sonic tends to get wrong most of the time, is that Sonic is a character that has learned everything from extreme sports, and instead of going to the skate park, the whole world is his skate park. And he uses his insane free running abilities to get to goals completely.
Sure he's super fast, but that's not his whole character. He also does things that look like tricks that have a meaning in regards to traversal.
I think a Sonic stage should be like a Snow Covered Mountain with multiple trails of different difficulties. They all end up at the same finish line, but you can take different trails based on where they connect, where you start, and how the trail changed over time.

Desert Storm Adventure: The Ultimate Thrill in the Sands of Dubai
Tumblr media
If you’re searching for something beyond the ordinary — something that makes your heart race and your spirit come alive — then a desert storm adventure is calling your name. Deep in the golden sands of Dubai, this high-octane experience combines extreme off-road sports, wild landscapes, and a true taste of the desert’s raw power.
Whether you're a seasoned adrenaline junkie or just someone craving a new kind of thrill, a desert storm adventure offers a ride you won’t forget.
What Is a Desert Storm Adventure?
The term desert storm adventure refers to an action-packed experience in the desert involving high-speed vehicles, rugged terrain, and dramatic dune landscapes. It’s designed to simulate the intensity of a real sandstorm — only in the form of adventure sports.
Think:
Racing up steep sand dunes
Drifting down sandy slopes
Blasting through desert trails on powerful machines
It’s fast, wild, and breathtaking.
Top Activities in a Desert Storm Adventure
The desert is your playground. Here’s what you can expect when you sign up for this high-energy adventure:
1. Extreme Dune Bashing
Strap in and hold tight — dune bashing takes off-roading to a whole new level. Skilled drivers power through towering dunes in 4x4 Land Cruisers, creating a thrilling rollercoaster of spins, drops, and sideways slides.
2. Quad Biking
Ride your own quad bike across endless desert terrain. Choose from beginner-friendly trails or advanced courses with steep dunes and high-speed tracks.
3. Buggy Racing
Drive a powerful dune buggy through rough desert paths. These lightweight vehicles are built for speed, giving you control and a jolt of adrenaline as you storm through the sands.
4. Sandboarding
For a change of pace, grab a sandboard and surf down the dunes. It’s like snowboarding — but on soft, golden sand.
Why Choose a Desert Storm Adventure in Dubai?
Dubai offers one of the best settings in the world for desert adventures. Here’s why:
World-class tour operators with professional guides and safety measures
Variety of terrain – from soft, rolling dunes to rugged off-road tracks
Customizable experiences – from group tours to luxury private packages
Easy access from the city – most adventure zones are less than an hour from central Dubai
Plus, the unique combination of modern amenities and ancient desert landscapes makes it both exciting and culturally immersive.
Best Time to Book a Desert Storm Adventure
October to March:
Cool and comfortable weather
Ideal for all-day excursions
April to September:
Hot, but early morning or sunset tours are still enjoyable
Most operators offer AC-cooled vehicles and shaded rest stops
Safety First: Tips for Your Desert Adventure
While a desert storm adventure is designed to push limits, safety is always a priority.
Here’s how to prepare:
Wear comfortable clothing – long sleeves and breathable fabrics
Closed shoes – sneakers or boots to protect from sand and heat
Stay hydrated – bring a reusable water bottle
Use sunscreen and sunglasses
Follow your guide’s instructions carefully
Avoid heavy meals before high-speed rides
All reputable operators provide helmets, gloves, and other safety gear as needed.
Conclusion: Are You Ready for the Ultimate Desert Challenge?
If you’re looking for an unforgettable thrill in the heart of the Arabian desert, nothing compares to a desert storm adventure. It’s more than a tour — it’s a wild ride through one of the most beautiful and intense natural landscapes on Earth.
With powerful vehicles, expert guides, and jaw-dropping views, Dubai delivers a desert experience that blends adrenaline, scenery, and adventure like nowhere else.
