Hey everyone,

As of January 20th, I'll have been running orkowhereheshouldntbe for two years. It's been so much fun, and I've learned so much about photo editing and media. But I don't feel like I can keep up with the daily posts anymore, and I don't want to keep half-assing things in hope the spark comes back. In other words, as the bio warned, the joke's gotten old.

That's not to say this blog is going away - I plan on leaving it up, and I'll still take requests and suggestions. I may even make a post of my own here and there when the mood strikes me. But I think taking the burden of daily posts off my shoulders will help.

I could never have anticipated a one-off inside joke like this becoming such a big part of my life, or taking up so much of my time. I'm proud of myself for managing to keep things going this long, even with the breaks I've had to take. And I'm endlessly grateful for all the love and support I've gotten on my posts. I'll have a special video on Saturday, to commemorate the blog's anniversary, and as a gift for all of you.

This isn't a permanent goodbye. It's just a change from how things have been. <3

The scarcity of this particular type of fungus isn't something she should need to be reminded of, though perhaps the notion of freshly prepared truffle risotto will inspire a surge of motivation to help him find more.

The energy in him has abruptly changed; now more evidently enthusiastic with the prospect of gathering the rare ingredient.      Internally, without any intention to ask her this out loud, he wonders if this exchange is not dissimilar to when someone picks fresh flowers for a pretty girl.           He seems rather pleased with his gift.

You know what's a realization I've made just now at this moment. I've been thinking for the last couple of days about how lately my poetry feels like it has no significance to me anymore, and I don't know why or how. It certainly felt more significant to me when I was youngest, when my poetic offerings were least often worthy of much praise, when I was excited and felt catharsis. Before I was even twenty, poetry became more of a craft/hobby than a diary (to give myself credit, it was a craft/hobby when I was fourteen/fifteen too, but I built that craft/hobby out of my teenage sentiments and obsessions rather than a more concerted effort of skill or construction). And it's been many years since I wrote poetry that was about people; I can't tell you the last time I wrote a poem that was purely about my feelings for another person. More often I write poems about conflicts or problems or things I'm figuring out. Very often my poetry is just inspired by whatever book I'm reading. But I'm not interested in my poetry lately whatsoever; I write it coincidentally. I have no interest in elaborating through that medium anymore at this point in my life. I'm not sure why I continue. And my realization is that I actually have felt this before. My poetry feels like a dormant interest because very few things inspire or excite me right now. My poetry feels insignificant when I'm in a phase where my life feels insignificant.

Aster: Aster could fall into a light sleep, but any movement or sound will wake them up, hoping it's Mc, even if there is no way it could actually be them. They tend to sleep pretty curled into themselves, in a fetal position. They sleep on a cot in camp, so they've gotten used to sleeping as small as they can, so that they can fully fit on it. When sleeping with Mc, they are basically wrapped around them. Mc is warm, Aster gravitates to that warmth in their sleep even if they don't mean to. They're a small spoon<3

Ro: Honestly, Ro can fully sleep through anything and fall asleep anywhere. They may love Mc, but they love sleeping almost just as much. They sleep on their side or stomach and don't normally leave their side of the bed (They used to share a bed with their brother, Alejandro, and he was not very happy if Ro ended up touching them or on his side of the bed). They do cuddle but will move away once they fall asleep. Ro runs hot and feels almost feverish when they're sleeping, and they can't handle the body heat of another person on them when they're sleeping. They are a big spoon!<3
