This is my last rambling Unintentional Love Story post and I feel a bit sad that I have to say goodbye until season 2. I think it's going to be a while before another series captures my heart like this one. The last series before ULS that caused this level of brainrot was Word of Honor and that was two years ago. 😅

Taejoon and Wonyoung's story wrapped up beautifully. It brought all the warm fuzzies and I couldn't have asked for a more satisfying ending.

I like the contrast here, with Wonyoung feeling helpless, thinking they're really over, and Taejoon smiling because he realizes that Wonyoung is jealous and that they're definitely getting back together.

Istg Taejoon is being a little gremlin here. That smile on his face makes me think he knows that the way he responded makes it seem like he wants Wonyoung to disappear.

The way pulls Wonyoung into the hug with strength, but then gently cradles his neck during the hug made me sigh with happiness.

I've seen a lot of discussion about the dead fish kissing in ULS and I wanted to address it. I'm not going to pretend they didn't serve us multiple servings of dead fish. I get the criticism, we shouldn't be getting dead fish anymore in 2023 and I too, could have done without the dead fish close ups. However, I stand by my earlier statements that the dead fishes do not detract from the series. Despite the poor kissing skills, all the emotions are there, and isn't that what makes a series great?

The zoomed out shot of them kissing made my toes curl. I love the way that Taejoon is gripping Wonyoung's hands, not letting him go. It's these moments and feelings that resonate with me rather than the actual kissing. Would better kissing or getting rid of the dead fish close ups have improved the series? Probably yes, but only a little. Does it ruin the series as some claim? Absolutely not. I will defend this series till I die.

I loved Wonyoung's tear here. He's just so overcome with emotion and I was too while watching. His love is finally reciprocated again. I'm so happy for them.

YASSSS. Finally. I squealed with joy. Wonyoung's smile is everything. 🥰❤️

Melted into a big puddle of goo again. This is one of my favorite scenes. The way Wonyoung and Taejoon move their arms to hold each other closer, along with Taejoon's patented neck hold had me screaming into my pillow again. 😅

Love Donghee Taejoon bestie energy. Love that grabbing each other by the scruff is their way of communicating. No way is Taejoon going to let Donghee kiss Wonyoung! 🤭

I loved Wonyoung's piss off, I'm not scared of you look to Inho and daddy Taejoon's charging in to protect his boy.

THAT FLEX!! Wonyoung holding hands with Taejoon and then giving Inho that hmpf, loser glance as he is led away shows how confident he is now. Love it.

SO CUTE. I love the handhold with interlocking fingers. 🫠 I have not read the manhwa, but apparently Wonyoung is the one who buys the rings, so he could be checking Taejoon's ring size here. 🥰

Has any other kbl had this much handholding? I really like this shot because for whatever reason I see a heart in the empty space between them.

They are the cutest couple. Love how Wonyoung snuggles Taejoon. Taejoon loves Wonyoung's cutesy side just like me. Matching pjs should be cringe but it's freakin cute when they do it.

Oooo Wonyoung's got lines! 😊 I'm so glad that Taejoon was able to leave his baggage behind enough to be able to say that without feeling like Wonyoung is only trying to take advantage of him.

I'm so happy they released the behind the scenes so we can have both POVs of this hug. Wonyoung looks so happy. I'm smiling like an idiot again.

I love that we got to see Wonyoung standing up to vice manager Jung. Demanding an apology! You get him Wonyoung! But also, when did Jung find out that Taejoon and Wonyoung were dating? When did he find out they broke up? Did Taejoon tell him? 🤔

A picturesque ending. 🥰❤️🫠 I do wish we got a bit of back story on the rings, but it doesn't matter. They're going to live happily ever after, I know it.

It's really over. 😭 I will miss this series so much. It's my favorite kbl ever for now.

What made you fall in love with Gallavich?

I love how they continued to persevere and make their ways back to each other. Most people in their circumstance(s) would have given up on each other and the idea of ever being together and happy but they loved each other enough to never give up, despite the universe telling them that they should. They knew that they were each other's soulmates so they clawed their ways through the many (many) obstacles that came their way and fought to make it work. Now they're together, married and happy and that'll always make me happy. 🥹🥰

How long have you been a fan? Since May of 2023. Very newly obsessed.

Favourite Gallavich moment/scene? There's a lot of Gallavich moments that I absolutely love but I'll try to narrow it down to just 3, in no particular order:

In season 1 when Monica shows up for the first time. The first thing Ian did was run to the Milkovich house to see and talk to Mickey. Though Mickey was hesitant to talk to Ian at the moment (because Terry was there), Mickey showed that he cared about Ian by agreeing to meet Ian at the Kash and Grab to make sure he was okay. That moment, even though it is so early in the series, showed how much they cared for each other already. Mickey being the first person on Ian's mind in a moment of distress, and Mickey dropping everything to make sure Ian was alright is a moment that's so special to me. They were so young and had feelings for each other that neither of them probably couldn't really explain if they tried to at the time, but they both knew that there was something more there. Mickey also already knowing Ian's work schedule makes me smile like a giddy little idiot every time lol 🥰

The "sorry I'm late..." moment 🥹💞. Even though Mickey had his own shit to work though with Ian's diagnosis, him still showing up for Ian and letting him know that he wasn't going anywhere despite it all was so fucking sweet and I love it.

The prison reunion. Nothing says true love like getting yourself thrown into prison and giving up your freedom because you found out that the person you love is going to prison and you want to be with them, regardless of the circumstances.

Favourite Shameless character apart from Ian and Mickey? Kev and Sheila

Do you write or draw or make edits? I don't - I'm not talented enough for that lol. I do enjoy seeing, reading and supporting everyone else's art and fics though!

Favourite type of Gallavich fics? I usually go for one shot post canon or canon compliant fics, usually full of fluff and/or smut, though I'm not opposed to multi-chapter ones. I love reading post-canon fics about married Ian and Mickey being understanding and taking care of each other as they both continue to work though their shit. Mickey always knowing what his husband needs and taking care of him, even when Ian doesn't ask him to, or Ian always reassuring his husband and letting him work though his own trauma always tugs at my heart strings 😭. I also don't mind reading fics that include the rest of the family. I want to eventually venture out to reading maybe some AU fics at some point though.

Favourite Gallavich quote? Idk if I can choose just one so here's my top 3 - again in no particular order:

Their vows 🥰. Everytime I think about their vows, I think of a headcanon that someone wrote on here (don't remember exactly who at the moment, sorry!) talking about how they each emphasized a different word in their vows and how accurate and on brand it was for them. I get the warm fuzzies everytime.

Anything else you’d like to share about yourself? I first started watching Shameless at the beginning of May of 2023 (after being told for years that I should watch it and continuously putting it off - kicking myself now) and as of mid July, I've watch it a total of 4 times. So when I post or reblog something saying that I'm obsessed, I truly mean obsessed. I have never loved or cared for individual characters or a couple from a TV series or movie as much as I do Ian Gallagher and Mickey Milkovich.

Woah!! Thank you so, so much anon! I was not expecting this in my inbox and you put a huge smile on my face this morning! First of all, I am SO HAPPY that you are enjoying The Pact!! I don't even remember really what the hell spurred me into writing this originally, but the idea essentially came from me wondering what it might look like if Max and Mike ended up stuck together in a situation where they HAD to get to know each other, and it sort of evolved from there. It truly makes me feel so proud that you think I GET THEM. I find both of those characters highly relatable and exploring them both as bisexual seemed like an interesting thing to take on.

The story and characters have taken me on a bit of a twist and turn as well. What started out as wanting to explore their friendship went to some unexpected places (as you have read 🙃). And so if I am the person responsible for shipping them, then I take full responsibility because I TOO have come to love them like that too. They're now my second favorite ship besides byler in the Stranger Things fandom. It's just so fun, and they both have a lot going on, and their characters have a lot of symmetry, but also almost like a ying and yang thing and that's always fun to explore in writing.

Anyway, thank you so much for sending me a little love! I really appreciate it and I am just so glad there's some folks out there that have been enjoying reading "The Pact" as much as I have been writing it. I wasn't expecting much engagement when I first put it out cause of the pairings and plot, so the fact that the response has been so good and positive has been such a blast and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Anyway! If you're looking for something else to read in the meantime (I hope the have Camping Trip Part II up in the next few days) I just finished Touch Me Like You Know Me. I think that is one I am most proud of personally. It's an estranged 30s byler reconnection fic. It's short and sweet. Another finished shorter one is When We Wake Up. That's just a romantic and a little sexy sharing one bed trope in the dead of summer type vibes.

And as always I'd recommend A Certain Slant of Light. It's unfinished, but it's my baby so I always tell people about it lol... It's a Will has powers angsty canon byler journey. 😊 <333

Maybe you will still not like it and will just delete it, but maybe you will realize it's not that bad and it needs just a few edits.

I arrived home safe! Albeit a few hours late and more exhausted. You were born in Vietnam but you live in Australia; you've seen so much more of the world than Arthur has, for Gotham is all he has known, and so he's known for asking you oddball questions every now and then, wanting to live vicariously. He soaks up your answers, a sponge is he, and he likes to fall asleep with your fingers in his hair and your voice caressing him as surely as your hands. Arthur is very careful to make sure that your glasses are always somewhere safe and secure, preferably in a case and somewhere always within your reach. If he finds them somewhere he shouldn't, then he puts them away and makes sure to verbally remind you that he put them elsewhere so that you know where you can find them. He figures that because he wouldn't want his glasses to be left somewhere they shouldn't be, such as the very corner of a table, you wouldn't, either. They're expensive and though he doesn't touch what isn't his, Arthur can safely justify his actions in doing so in this situation. You have long black hair and you're roughly 5"2', so Arthur loves holding you. He can rest the sharp angles of his chin on the crown of your head, like royalty does he treat you, and simply enfold himself around you. It feels very much like he's keeping you safe, his arms the cage in which you are protected, though not are you trapped. No, with Arthur are you free. He loves you very much, and there's nothing he wouldn't do for you.

You tend to be really anxious and insecure, and Arthur can definitely relate to these things. His heart would bleed for you every time you confided in one another (and, honey, you were the slow burn to end all slow burns) and with every negative thing you said about yourself did Arthur give you a compliment which directly contradicted your harsh and untrue words. Additionally, you would do the same for Arthur. Sometimes the give and take dynamic of a relationship is unequal, but you and Arthur take as best care of each other as you're able to every day. Love is a choice, to put in that same effort every day, and waking up beside each other makes it easy to make that choice, which may sometimes be more conscious than other days. Arthur is always happy to reassure you and to be there for you, just as you're happy to be there for him, too. You're each other's strength and you both carry around pictures of one another. So often do either or both of you feel misunderstood, but with one another do you feel like you're with someone who gets it.

You are loyal, caring, loving and kind, and oh, how Arthur gravitates towards you like a moth to a flame. Gotham is a grey, cold and cruel place but you are like a ray of sunshine after a massive thunderstorm. You inspire Arthur just by being yourself, good hearts do you both have. You're kind to everyone and undoubtedly is this what caught Arthur's attention. It would have taken him a while to build up the courage to talk to you, but you're so caring that bit by bit did you coax Arthur out of his shell, and, oh, how brightly he shone near you, his one and only person who understood him. As Arthur's arc goes on and he falls into Joker (jumps, one could argue), he becomes more confident in who he is and he stops caring so much. Not about you, darling, but about the world and of what people think of him. As such, he's much more likely to stand up for you if someone was taking advantage of you and of your kindness, and he wouldn't let anyone hurt you. He's so proud of you and he'd set the world alight if only to see you smile. You have but to ask, dearheart.

You love helping others and giving advice, but Arthur doesn't want for you to burn yourself out, and he tries to help you to take better care of yourself, most especially if helping others hinders you in some kind of way. He admires you and your kindness so deeply and he can't help but to fall in love with you all over again whenever he sees you helping someone else. You enjoy being in others' presence and this is how you and Arthur bond in the very beginning; spending time together separately and just enjoying the quiet which comes with one another. You're just so full of love and Arthur adores you.

You have many hobbies and Arthur loves to watch you do them when he doesn't think you're looking at him (even if you're not, you can feel his gaze on you). You're creative and you love to watch TV; the evenings with you and Arthur are spent cuddled up together on the sofa and being quiet. You talk about your days and ask each other questions every now and then, but for the most part do you simply spend time together separately and basking in the other person's company. Time with you is Arthur's most favourite and when he isn't with you, he's thinking of you and yearning to get back to you, the absolute love of his life.
