my grandmother lost 150+lbs on the keto diet (also after a gastric bypass or smthn like that) and she’s managed to maintain the same weight over the last decade, give or take ~30lbs… she’s always dieting somehow and i like to take it upon myself to always give her a chocolate or a treat or smthn when i visit. i support her with this but *one* thing will not hurt and it makes her happy!

#she’s very successful and honestly. her food habits have helped me #shes the one that taught me how to garden and enjoy healthier foods #bc i craved crap all the time after growing up disliking everything ‘healthy’#and her food issues lie in having large amounts available #so my lil treats don’t trigger any sort of binge #it makes me so happy when she’s like ‘OOOH’ and lights up #ngl. my love language is food as well #all my besties are foodies and i treat them to good stuff when i can #talk #idk why i’m talking abt this m #i gave her a dove chocolate on saturday

#FINALLY. TOOK ME TWO FUCKEN DAYS TO DRAW THIS DUDE #I made it way too detailed cause I wanted em to look fancy but I’m probably gonna simplify it any time I draw them anyway shfjgsg #i changed my mind way too many times trying tk figure out Colors for them. I’m actually happy with how this came out!!!!#if you squint the sash and jinbu is a reference to sailor HEHE.. If you’ve been around for a few years, you’ve seen me vaguely mention a “Silverborn Countdown Challenge” several times. It’s been delayed and changed as many times as the book itself, lol.

If anyone wants sort of a low-stakes, very chill and spaced out version of this ye olde never tackled challenge to complete in the next year before Silverborn, I propose what I’m doing:

Every 3 months leading up to the initial release, I am creating one thing based on each of the books.

been thinking abt this a lot lately and like growing up is SO scary but a lot of that fear comes from being so removed from older people. personally bc of my job this year i have gotten really close to 40+, even 60+ year olds and they’re so full of life and energy and joy and it’s like. they tell u all the time but being close to them u see it for yourself life doesn’t end at 30 like there is always so much to do and so much time to do it all like!! if anything i’m no longer scared to grow older but instead im excited to see where life will take me and hope im half as eager to live when reach certain ages!

#at least this was my experience!#also another thing i love abt other ppl is how shameless they are but in a good way #like they just don’t care anymore they are truly free and happy!!#my boss’ mom is like 70 and she meets w her friends almost everyday and goes to parties etc like ! there is just so much time #and my mom is 46 and she’s about to retire and it’s so exciting i’m genuinely like u have ur entire life ahead of u!!!!!!!!!!#my boss is 48 and god he’s such a character. so full of life and energy he shocks me sometimes omg #i just hope im half as good and joyful when i get to their ages tbh!#another 40 yr old friend i made recently still goes partying w her friends and does her sports etc like.#really age is just a number and i love to see that firsthand
