What A Birdbrain! by VenusVellichor
(1/1 I 3,292 I Scisaac)
Beacon Hills has always been a strange town, never more so than now, as Scott and his pack unravel the mysteries they had dragged back home. As Scott learns about his supernatural family history and Lydia unravels the mysteries that her great-aunt left her, Allison and Stiles up the ante and decide to hunt down magic artifacts. Derek and Jackson learn to express their feelings, and Isaac finally comes into his own when he opens an apothecary in town. Now that the pack is back together, can they still share their inner lives, or are some heritages too precious to tell?
love came in on time by CerinityKS
(1/1 I 3,554 I Scott/Theo)
Theo choked, eyes wide, and watched as Scott licked his hand clean. “Fuck dude,” he whispered, cock twitching valiantly again at the site. Scott shot him a grin.
“Not bad,” he shrugged, and they stared at each other for a moment before they collapsed in laughter once more.
“I, I c-can’t beli-lieve you,” Theo gasped.
“Shut up,” Scott laughed and reached out to smack him gently.
“Pull your shorts up, oh my god, we’re in public!” Theo laughed harder.
“Says the guy that dropped them to suck my dick!” Scott pointed out. They collapsed in laughter again as Scott reached down to pull them up. Theo adjusted himself in his shorts, underwear sticky and uncomfortable, and walked over to grab their boards as they calmed down. When he turned back the soft look was back in Scott’s eyes and he felt his own expression soften in response.
(or theo and scott have been mutually pining, scott finally makes a move, they get a little inappropriate in the skate park, and then go home to be soft and cuddle like the ridiculously in love boys they are)

“Will I survive?” Derek whined behind him, his grip on Stiles' wrist tightening. Stiles couldn’t look at him, knowing one glance might change his mind.
The Queen considered his question, tilting her head at him. “You will survive if you’re in love.”

Speak, Memory by RavenAurelieChoiseau
(6/10 I 13,842 I Klaus/Stiles)
‘Have you ever seen a wolf in the throes of change, Stiles?’ Klaus asked. Stiles gave a curt nod, his shoulders stiffening in memory. Scott had been near uncontrollable that first night. Since then, he’d seen more than his share of shifts. More than he’d have ever liked to admit. ‘Yes, I see from your eyes you have. Well, Henrik and I were caught in the middle of it.' _ Klaus invites Stiles to New Orleans to play at his funeral. Such an odd request brings the two strangers together. The vampire is overcome when he meets the young musician and his suspicions are confirmed: Klaus had once been a lover of one of Stiles' ancestors- and Stiles is his doppelganger. One memory in exchange for every piece executed- Stiles decides to extend his stay and play for his employer. Klaus regales him with tales about his past. Romance is not lacking as Klaus tries to woo his new friend, taking him on dates. They ride an imaginary line between history and a need for connection and affection in the now. Neither imagines how easy it will be for them to fall in love.
To bushwhacked and back again. by DropsOfAddiction
(1/1 I 29,291 I Sterek)
“So... that’s it. You’re all done here?” Stiles had tried to keep his voice neutral as he leant his back onto the wall, placing one foot on it to balance him.
“Yeah. I sent all my stuff ahead. I doubt Cora will unpack for me though,” Derek told him.
“No, I doubt it. She’s probably too busy running naked through the woods,” Stiles shuddered.
“Oh my god, do you have to?” Derek had grimaced. “That’s my sister.”
“Sorry! I’m not thinking about her naked I swear,” Stiles protested, holding his hands up.
Derek had cocked an eyebrow at him.
“I’m not lying! Feel!” Stiles yanked on Derek’s arm until his hand popped out of his pocket and he’d dragged him closer, placing Derek’s palm over his heart.
Derek had made a soft sound of surprise, but he’d allowed the manhandling and he crowded in closer to Stiles.
Stiles hadn’t thought it through because the second Derek’s hips were inches from his and Derek’s stupid, lovely face was all up in his, his heart had begun pounding erratically.

It’s easy to say that your fate was decided the day you dropped your mango juice on Jackson’s head when you were in second grade. It had been an accident, you were walking towards your friend when a pen made you lose your balance. Now, that would have been funny if you hadn’t tried to grab onto something and in a furious attempt smashed the small cardboard box in Jackson’s head.
Unknown to you at the time, he had been bothering a small skinny boy from the other class, someone with a weird-ass name you never actually cared to remember, what you did know however, was that he was never able to shut his mouth, which usually led him (and another boy with a weird chin) into lots of trouble. He instantly opened his eyes widely at the scene and bit the inside of his cheek.
“Oh my god! What is wrong with you?!” Screamed Jackson, now it was your turn to looked shocked, but the little boy was so angry he could have easily been your executor. Now you were running.
No. You were being dragged by the same skinny boy towards the hallways, you didn’t knew where he was taking you until he stopped in the backyard, letting your arm go and leaned his back on a wall trying to catch his breath. At some point you just looked at each other with wide eyes ‘Had that actually happened? Did you really smashed your mango juice on someone’s head?’
Before you could notice, you were both laughing loudly. “I can’t believe that just happened” the boy said trying to catch his breath again. You were red of the laughter and embarrassment, being able to just nod before going back to it.
You introduced yourself to the boy and he shrugged you off with a “I know” and then seemed to consider his answer again “I mean, not that I know I know, that’d be weird” he started rambling while you just tilted your head to try make sense of whatever he was saying so quickly “I mean” he sighed “We were in the same class last year”
Okay, now it was your time to go red. You had been in the same class with him and he clearly remembered your name, yet you barely knew that his name was hard to spell, something like mischief. He seemed to notice and tried laughing it off “I’m Stiles! Just in case” he said his smile flattened a little and you felt guilty.
Before you could find the words or a way out of that situation he was screaming at someone behind you “Scott! You will never believe what happened!” Now he was all jumpy again, the boy with the weird chin, Scott, made his way over the two of you, maybe it was time to go. But as soon as you started giving one step back Stiles grabbed your arm and started yelling “She just smashed her juice into Jackson’s head! To help me! Can you believe that? I told you we would have more friends someday!” Okay, you might have been just a kid but that really managed to crush your heart. Scott looked at you with a huge smile “That sounds amazing! Why do I always miss the good things?” He pouted and you laughed at both of them
“Because you really had to take Theo to the nurse” Stiles mimicked “That’s why you’re already missing out in our time with our new best friend! Now we’re four!” He gasped “We can be the fantastic four in Halloween!”
You started spending all your breaks with the three boys.
******************
Now you were sixteen, Theo had to move and it was just you, Scott and Stiles. As much as you missed Theo, you were happy with the two boys, and they were more than happy to be with you.
It didn’t take you long to notice that Stiles had this huge crush on just the most popular girl in Beacon Hills, Lydia Martin. At first you didn’t care much about it, but you and Scott always stayed back, looking at Stiles’ plans to make her fall in love with him.
Plans that always failed and ended up with him embarrassing himself, you or Scott. And it always broke your heart a little. Now, you never liked him in that way, but you knew that he was the sweetest boy ever, and it hurt you to see him frowning after every failed attempt.
But this time was different. She was part of your group now, a really close friend, and so he though it would be different, she was nicer, stopped playing dumb and actually cared about the three of you.
But she refused to go on a date with him, she already had a thing going on with one of the Alpha Twins. And now Stiles was sobbing in your arms, he really had his hopes up this time. And now your heart was reduced to pieces side by side with his.
Every sob he gave was after holding it for long in his chest, and he held you tighter every time, you didn’t even bother trying to whisper calming things to his ear, he needed a hug and someone that listened to him. So you did just that.
Helping him to sit in the floor of his bedroom without breaking the hug and holding him even tighter, your right hand playing with his hair, trying to calm him. He stopped sobbing at some point and you felt most of his weight giving in. He had fallen asleep.
You tried your best to help him into his bed, being too concerned to leave him like that in the floor. Once he was placed on top of his bed you turned your back but before you could walk towards the door he grabbed your arm.
“Stay a little longer” his voice was raw because of all the sobbing, a knot formed in your stomach as you nodded and laid down by his side, facing him and trying to clean his tears from his cheeks.
“Why do you always have to go for her?” You asked him in whispers “Many other girls like you but you just don’t notice” Cora, Erika and every single girl that you knew had liked him crossed your mind, and you were just so lost in thought that didn’t notice the way it sounded, nor the intense look he gave you.
He was holding you tightly when you woke up, his head pressed against the back of your neck. You tried to stand up, but his grip on you was strong.
“Stiles?” You called
“Just five more minutes” He whispered without actually noticing what was going on, his grip on you only tightened.
“I need to get home, it’s getting late” you said.
“I’m not letting you go” His voice was sweet but sleepy. You had to refuse the urge to laugh at this, believing he was dreaming and not actually noticing who you were.
You were wrong.
“Stiles!” You called louder this time and he jumped.
“What?! What’s happening?!” Now he was too awake.
“Let me go, it’s almost midnight” you laughed as he suddenly opened his arms and went back to sleep.
You left soon afterwards. And you never knew how he groaned when you closed the door behind you, the way he was conflicted with himself, he really had wanted you to stay, to not let you go of his arms.
**********
Something smelt really wrong.
You tried opening your eyes but they were covered with a piece of cloth. And soon enough you felt your hands being tied to the arms of the chair.
Panic instantly took over, you weren’t a supernatural, you wouldn’t be able to break the rope, or scream your way out of it. Still you tried to scream as loud as humanly possible.
And then the coldest hand you had ever felt was pressed tightly against your mouth. You were terrified, someone had kidnapped you, and you knew the drill, you had seen it before, if they wanted information they’d have to beat it out of you, if they wanted something else...let’s just hope they didn’t.
“Shh, don’t scream!” A voice whispered/yelled to you “He will come back, let’s get you out of here.”
The blindfold was removed and you sighed in relief, Stiles was here, he came to save you. You almost laughed. He smiled at you but it didn’t made you feel safe, somehow that smile made your brain scream for you to run.
You ignored your instincts. And gave in to his hug “I was so worried about you” he said, but his body was colder than it had ever felt.
“You’re really cold” you managed to say. He separated himself from the hug and held your cheek reassuringly. His glance on you was so intense that you were sure it would end up making holes in your face.
He leaned in slowly and his lips touched yours. At some point in your friendship you had wondered what it would feel like to kiss him, always thinking that it would be a soft innocent kiss, but this was way more than that. His lips were cold and harsh, but you corresponded, blame the adrenaline if you must.
Just as the need for air was becoming quite too intense did he teared his lips from yours. You gasped as soon as you opened your eyes.
His eyes were colder than anything you had ever seen, but it was a grotesque smile that made your stomach turn. Then you noticed that you were still tied to the chair, and memories flooded back to your brain.
You remembered Isaac holding you as Scott told you about the Stiles that wasn’t Stiles. You remembered how you cried like you never had. And now you wanted to do just that.
“You aren’t him” your voice trembled.
“He did say you were smart, however I was hoping you to notice sooner” He was mocking disappointment. You felt sick.
“What difference would it make?” He added as he caressed your cheek “I’m him, but better”
You shook your head, he wasn’t Stiles, he wasn’t the sweet kid that had taken you on so many adventures, he couldn’t be. “Please, bring him back” you pleaded.
His smile stiffened and he slammed the wall behind you, making you jump. “You can’t see me, can you?” He was angry “you see me and you can’t see me! I am him, I am the same kid you saved, the boy you hugged after every disappointment! I am the only one that has ever held you while you slept” he closed his eyes “I just changed! Like Scott did” he took a pause and you had to buy your tongue to not contradict him “I’m better in every possible way!”
Now you were openly crying of frustration, you wished to bring him back, to have a power like your friends or even just have training like Allison. “I liked you just the way you were” you sobbed.
“Then you’ll love me this way” he added, and as you shook your head he smiled and held your chin up, to face him “It wasn’t a question”

In Denial // A Theo Raeken story
Chapter 5
School went by like normal for a few days. Occasionally, the average student would be taken by the ghost riders. The population of Beacon Hills was diminishing by a very rapid pace. On Thursday, however, all of the teachers, principal and vice principal, and councilors finally went missing and school was finally shut down. The students knew something was wrong but couldn't quite figure it out. Coach was the only one who went to school on Thursday, and I know that because the pack was there.
"Where is everyone? What the hell is even this? Is there a holiday or something that I wasn't informed about?" Coach followed us down the halls as we walked to the library, desperate for answers on how to stop the wild hunt and the ghost riders.
"No, Coach, everyone is gone," Scott told Coach. "But, we are going to get them back."
"You better McCall. I'm not getting paid." And with that, Coach stormed off into his small office to do god knows what.
As per usual, we didn't come up with a plan that day Now, the Friday sun arose and my alarm clock jolted me awake. I leaned over the side of the bed to click it off. My eyes were still filled with gross morning crusties, which I generously rubbed off.
Downstairs, my dad was making breakfast for us. Just me and him again this morning.                      "Hey, sweetie. I'm making eggs for breakfast." He turned around from the stove and smiled at me.
"No work today?" I ask. He only shakes his head. There's barely anybody left to help. As the sheriff, he swore to protect the citizens of Beacon Hills county. Now that there is no one left, he doesn't have to.
"I'm going to go for a walk, dad," I shout from the living room after cleaning up after breakfast. I grab my canvas white tennis shoes and walk out the door. My dad knows I can take care of myself.
I jump into my car and drive to the woods where I usually take my morning jog. These are the same woods that Stiles dragged Scott to before sophomore year. I remember that day so well. Stiles wanted to find this dead body so bad. He was telling me about it all afternoon at home.
I enter the woods, following my same self-made trail. The trees sway to the soft summer breeze. All I'm wearing today is some black leggings, despite the summer heat, and a plain grey t-shirt from Stiles' closet. I love days like today where it's not too hot and not too cold. I brush my hand against the side of a tree as I walk past it. A laugh is forming inside my chest, something I haven't felt in weeks. The woods is where I feel free.  Ahead of me, I see something on the ground, next to a big oak tree. As I walk closer, I notice it's a boy. He's curled up next to the tree, his back is facing me.
"Hey, are you okay?" The boy turns around revealing his face. "Theo? What are you doing?" He sits up.
"I have nowhere to stay." Now I feel horrible about saying I didn't care. He finally stands up. "Ruby, what are you doing in the middle of the woods anyways. It's not safe."
"I could say the same to you, Theo." He looks like a stray dog who's been kept outside in the rain. his once fluffy hair is now flat and soaking wet.
"I can handle myself." He walks past me in the direction I came in.
"Theo." He stops but doesn't turn to me. "Let me take you to my house so you can get some clean clothes and a shower. You look horrible."
On the car ride home, we say nothing. My dad left to meet Scott. At least thats what the note left in the kitchen says. I lead Theo upstairs and show him the spare bathroom that I call mine.
"Wait here." I walk into Stiles' room, which I haven't done in a few weeks. The room still smells like him. Everything is where it normally is. After my dad uncovered his room, we left the red strings up. They flow from one side of the room to the other, up and down, in all directions. They mesmerize me. I stand in the doorway admiring his detective board, his desk, and his bed.
I remember when Stiles and I were little, before mom died, we would sit on his bed and played action figures and Barbies. One time he lost his Batman figure and we looked for hours to find it. Turns out it was under his pillow the whole time.
I cover my mouth with my hand, trying not to let out a sob. Everyday we waste trying to figure out how to defeat the ghost riders is a day where Stiles is stuck somewhere. Somewhere probably scary.
I feel a pair of hands on my shoulder. They pull me away from the door frame, and one hand lifts off to close the door.
"Hey, it's okay." Theo says. He pulls me into a tight hug. I wrap my hands around his waist as he squeezes me tighter. He kisses the top of my head. I've never felt so protected, so safe.
No, I can't think that. I pull away and look him in the eyes. They shimmer from the bathroom lights that leak into the empty hallway. Which reminds me...
"You need a shower." He laughs.
"Well, now so do you." He walks towards Stiles' room again, opening the door. He lets himself in and picks out a shirt, a pair of jeans, a flannel, and some boxers. He shuts the door behind him and walks into the bathroom. Before shutting the door I hand him a clean towel, and he stops to wink at me. Then he closes the door and a few minutes later I hear the water running. I go back to my room and pick out some clothes to change into. I put on a pair of high waisted blue jeans, a soft, creme colored sweater, and a small gold necklace Stiles gave me last year for Christmas. I pull my hair down from the ponytail I had in and ran my hands through my hair a few times.
Theo takes a short shower, 15 minutes  to be exact. When he's done, we comes back into my room, wearing the new, clean clothes. He carries his towel in his hands.
"Wow," He says.
"What?" I ask him as he sits on the chair next to my desk.
"You look... good." I blush.
"Thanks." I grab my purse filled with my phone, some lip gloss, my wallet, and extra hair ties. "Okay you're coming with." I grab his towel and throw it on my bed. Then, I grab his hand and pull him downstairs.
"Should I be wondering where we are going?" He says as I get in my car.
"Pack meeting." I glance at the clock in my car. It's only 11. The pack meeting is scheduled for 12. "But first lunch. I'm starving and I bet you are too." He nodds his head viciously.
"Yes please."
I drive into the parking lot of my favortie diner, Brandon's. My mouth is watering just thinking about some french fries. Thankfully, Brandon's is right outside of Beacon Hills, so there should be workers.
Theo walks ahead to hold the door to the diner for me. How sweet.
"Thanks," I say.
"Least I could do." He smiles.
"Ruby!" I turn to the counter inside the restaurant.
"Isaac!" I walk over to my friend Isaac who greets me with a smile as per usual. "How've you been?" I ask.
"Pretty good. You know, the usual. Who's thissss? You must be a friend of Ruby's." He turns his attention to Theo.
"I'm Theo, nice to meet you." Theo holds out his hand to Isaac, who shakes it. I've never seen Theo be so polite.
"Yes, nice to meet you too Theo. Anyways, you know the drill Rubs. Sit wherever, someone will help you shortly." I smile and wave goodbye to Isaac who waves back.
Theo and I find a seat near the back. We sit across from eachother.
"Who was that?" Theo asks.
"My friend Isaac. He used to live in Beacon Hills but lives in Orange county, which is only two towns over." He nods.
"Cool."
Our food arrives and Theo immediately scarfs it down. He probably hasn't eaten in days. My burger and fries turns out good as usual. When we are done eating, we drive to Scotts house. Everyone's car is here. The time on the clock reads 12:15. Crap.
"Okay, when we go inside they are going to be a little mad. But that's okay."
"A little?" He ask sarcastically.
"Okay, a lot. But... don't get mad because that will make things worse. You know how they are." He nods. "I need you. Even though I have to hate you." He frowns at that.
"You don't have to," he persuades me. But no, I have to stick with my pack.
"I do. Because your the bad guy. And I hate saying that but it's really hard to trust you. Actually, it's pretty hard for anyone to trust you."
"I know." He puts his hand on top of mine, which rests on the shifter in my jeep. "But, I'm trying to fix that. I need to tell you thank you." I smile. I put the car in park and take my foot off the break. Theo finally lets go of my hand. We both step out of the car and wal to the front door.
"Remember what I said?" I say, more of a statement than a question. He looks at me in understanding.
Chapter 5!!!! Wow okay I have the perfect plot planned and i hope yall like it. Chapter 6 will be up soon.

Chapter Thirty-Eight - Chapter Thirty-Nine - Chapter Forty
Tumblr media
"Just to clarify, Sylvie, you don't think that reciting the Maqlû will kill her?" Stiles asked into the speaker of your phone, which was resting in his hand between the two of you as you both sat up in your bed, the night before the ritual was supposed to take place.
"No. I read what you sent me. Frankly, it sounds more like an offensive coven charm, than anything else." Sylvie Reneé Ducette, the coven witch from Louisiana who brought Allison back to life only a few months before, said through the speaker.
"It offended you?" Stiles was confused.
"No, an offensive charm.. like an attack spell." You explained quietly, rubbing your bottom lip between your thumb and index finger.
"Oui, mon chéri. It reads as if the conjuror were still alive, then the incantation would both kill him and his demons. I don't think it will backfire and kill you... But if it does, Mieczysław knows where to find me."
You glanced over at Stiles, and exhaled from your nose, licking your lips and shaking your head. Stiles rubbed his right hand over his face, pushing his fingertips against his temple, and glanced back at his girlfriend. The concern over your safety in performing the Maqlû did not need to be verbalized. You were both feeling it.
"Thank you, Sylvie. I appreciate your insight." You said as you rested your chin against your hand, your elbow connected with your knee.
"De rien, Y/f/n Y/m/n. Fais attention." Sylvie spoke in her French-creole drawl.
"Je vais." You replied back in French.
"À bientôt." Sylvie said before she hung up.
Stiles clicked the button on the top of your phone, locking the screen. "I hate when she says that. It always sounds like a threat." You raised your eyebrows in agreement, and chewed on your bottom lip. "What were you guys saying at the end there? I only made out 'you're welcome'." He asked.
"She told me to 'be safe' and I said I would."  Stiles sighed, shook his head, and wiped his thumb against your black screen. "I can see the wheels turning in your head. What are you thinking?" You asked.
"When she brought Allison back, she said that the only reason she was doing it was because it meant Gerard was dying." You nodded, and Stiles continued, glancing over at you with his eyebrows furrowed. "So then why did she basically just offer to bring you back if something happens to you on Tuesday? Why are you important to her?"
The Pack and those who came to pitch in were ruminating around the school, some finishing the jobs that Scott had set out for them, and some helping you to set up for the rituals. Melissa and Deaton set up a first aid table at the back corner of the gym, while you and Allison set up the table for the ritual, by the same large double doors that led to the outside from the gym, that they had used when you performed the Šurpu only days before.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU TRAPPED THEM IN A CLASSROOM?" You and Allison looked over and saw Noah yelling at his son and Scott.
"It wasn't my idea! It was Cora and Hayden." Stiles argued back.
"We had nothing to do with it, sir." Mason said, pointing at himself and Lydia, as they all stood in between the doors to the gym and the hallway that connected it with the rest of the school.
"Some of them wouldn't come willingly, so we did what we had to to get all of them here." Cora said, nonchalantly, and uncaring of how much she pissed off the Sheriff.
"I'll go talk to them, Sheriff. I'll sort it out." Scott offered, trying to diffuse the situation. "You two, come with me." He began walking out of the gym and towards the classrooms, Cora and Hayden sulking behind their Alpha.
"You nervous?" Allison asked, as she directed her attention back to you and the task that the two of you were trying to complete before the outburst.
You sighed, and pulled a large metal bowl out of the tote bag on the floor next to the table. You placed it on the ground and poured the twenty clay and twenty cedar figurines that Cora had made of Sam Wirths, the kid who summoned the rabisu to Beacon Hills in the first place, into the bowl. You looked up at Allison, who had stopped setting up and was just staring at you, waiting for a reply.
You pulled a box of matches out of the bag and knocked your knuckles against the table a few times as you placed the matches down. "Yea. I'm nervous."
Allison sighed and watched as you went back to unloading the tote bags full of supplies on to the table. "I'm nervous too."
You paused, an oversized mason jar, full of the thick black blood that came from Gerard, pressed between your hands. You looked up at Allison who was staring back at you with her big brown doe eyes. You placed the glass jar down on the table and glanced around the room, wondering who was listening. "I didn't even think about that, which makes me the worst friend ever. I forgot this was your first time back doing this kind of stuff with the Pack."
Allison shook her head and flashed a restrained smiled, the dimples in her porcelain cheeks just barely making an appearance on her face. "I begged Scott and my Dad to let me come today because I knew that you would need help and I've already seen you and Stiles go through the whole ritual a few times... but now that I'm here.." The uncomfortable smile resurfaced on her face. "I'm just nervous... and I hate being nervous." Allison cleared her throat and grabbed the other mason jar full of black blood out of the now empty bag.
You grabbed the bag off of the floor and folded it, placing it on the bleachers. You sat down and Allison followed you. "I know Scott and your Dad would never let anything happen to you, but neither would I... I haven't wanted to say this, cause I don't know, it makes me sound petty. But I'm really sad that you and Lydia are moving in together up at Berkeley and I won't be living with you anymore. I'm going to miss having you around all of the time."
"It's not like we won't see each other. I'm sure we'll both be at their place all the time." Allison's real smile beamed across her face as she nodded at Stiles, standing in the middle of the room talking to Liam, who was soaked and unhappy from cleaning the pool. "And I know you and Lydia aren't the best of friends, but you're still totally required to come over every Sunday so we can watch Game of Thrones."
You bumped your shoulder against Allison's and laughed quietly. The two girls watched as Liam and Stiles approached.
"You two okay?" Stiles asked, and watched as you and Allison nodded, your arms hooked around one another’s. "Alright, well Liam said that Isaac is filling up the pool now. Are you two done here?"
"Um, it's just the glass bowl and the filtered water in the other bag for the end of the ceremony. Otherwise, yea, I think we laid out everything." Allison explained.
"Alright, do you want to come with me to set up in there then?" Stiles asked, and the girls nodded again. Allison followed Liam towards the indoor pool on the other side of the gym, and Stiles stopped you from following. "Are you two really okay?"
"Yea, just nervous, but it's fine." Stiles nodded and leaned in to kiss you softly on the lips, then turned to walk off after Allison and Liam. "Hey!" You grabbed Stiles' now somewhat grungy, blue and orange cast on his left wrist, and jerked him back towards you. "I wouldn't have been able to do any of this without you. I know that you have been feeling shitty about taking me away from New York and my internship and magic practice with my Dad this summer, but I learned so much magic that he never would have been able to teach me with you this month. If today is a success, it's because I have you and everyone else by my side. You all make me a better witch, and you, Stiles Stilinski, make me a braver person." You reached up, letting the stubble on his face and jaw graze your palm, and placed your hand against his cheek. You stared into his chocolate brown eyes and smiled. "I don't regret a single moment of this summer with you. I wouldn't change any of it." You kissed him softly.
"I needed to hear that so badly, you don't even know." Stiles whispered, a smile spreading across his lips that you could feel against your cheek. He enveloped you in a hug and leaned over to kiss you repeatedly on the cheek. "I love you so much, Y/N Y/L/N."
Everyone, with the exception of Deaton, Scott, Allison, Stiles and you, sat on the bleachers and watched as the sun went down at 8:33PM. It filled the gym with soft hues of pink and orange and then quickly faded to black. Scott walked over and flipped the fluorescent overhead lights on. The room was silent except for the buzzing coming from the lamps warming up above. You took a deep breath and stepped up to the table.
"O Shamash, these are the figurines of my sorcerer." You said aloud, lifting the bowl full of tiny clay and cedar Sam Wirths lookalikes as an offering to the Akkadian sun god. You placed the bowl back on the table and cracked your neck. Stiles could tell how stressed you were, but watched quietly as you continued.
"Pure oven, great daughter of Anu, inside whom the fire of the grave is flaring, inside whom the valiant fire-god has taken up residence, [whose] flames have reached the sky [...], burn," Allison handed you the box of matches on the table. You opened the box, took out a matchstick, struck it against the ignitor and watched as the flame burst into existence."Set alight, incinerate my witch!" You dropped the match in the metal bowl. You lit two more and dropped them in as well. You watched as the clay figurines baked from the heat and the wooden ones began to turn to charcoal.
You glanced at Stiles; the line that the two of you had been so concerned with was next. He leaned his trembling hands against the edge of the table, the smell of smoke filling his flared nostrils. He was terrified. He exhaled through his nose and looked up at Scott. "Alright, Scott, you guys are up."
"Derek, Peter, Isaac, Ethan, Malia....." Scott called out their names and watched them step down the bleachers and approach the table. You picked up the bowl from the bottom, the fire had gone out and it was time for the most dangerous part of the first sequence. You and the group walked towards the open doors leading outside and paused. "Malia, you're helping her crush them." Scott directed. Malia nodded once.
They all stepped out and you quickly dumped the contents of the bowl onto the pavement. You and Malia began frantically stomping on the charred figurines. Their fragile bodies disintegrating under your feet, while Scott, Derek, Peter, Isaac and Ethan all circled around you, waiting for a rabisu to show up to fight.
Stiles watched, holding his breath and praying that the next line didn’t kill you, as you pressed your tongue against your lips and finally continued. "May my warlock's and witch's life swiftly, quickly come to an end!" You said as you and Malia stomped out the last figurines.
"Nothing happened... the rabisu haven't even shown up." Stiles said quietly as he and Deaton stood a length away from the rest of the group inside, who had all gotten off the bleachers to watch by the doors.
Deaton glanced over at Stiles, then turned his attention back to you and Malia shining your flashlights on the ground to see if the two of you had sufficiently destroyed all of the small effigies. "The rabisu may know what she is doing and feel threatened. This kind of magic does not go unnoticed. They may realize that she cannot destroy them if they do not show up." Deaton said in his usual wise tone.
"Unless they're summoned." Stiles surmised what the druid was going to say next, then watched the group safely walk back inside. Deaton glanced over to Stiles and nodded softly.
It was 10:26PM, and they had hours before the next sequence was to begin. The Pack was milling about the school doing their own things to kill time until the moon reached its fullest around 2AM. Stiles was talking to the Sheriff and the other adults, and you were sitting on the waxed hardwood floors of the gym, your back leaning up against one of the legs of the table. You were staring out into the parking lot; the entire outside almost as bright as inside because of a clear sky and a very full moon. Scott and Isaac sat on either side of you.
You looked at them as they sat next to you and you laughed softly to yourself and smiled. "What's up, guys?"
"Scott wanted to check on you, I thought I'd tag along." Isaac told you nonchalantly.
You grinned. "Oh admit it. You were worried about me too, Lahey."
Isaac shrugged and smiled. The people that you had felt closest to besides Stiles were definitely Scott, Allison and Isaac. They were genuinely more than just your boyfriend's friends. They were your friends too. "Tonight is weird." Isaac stated.
"You feeling okay, Isaac?" Scott asked, craning his neck forward to see around you.
"A little juiced, you know? I was ready to fight some demons... again."
"I know what you mean." You echoed Isaac's sentiments. You lifted your hands on top of your lap, your palms facing up and showed the two werewolves how effortlessly two round silver sparks began to form into orbs, that if you let continue would turn into a particularly strong force field. "The Mesopotamians clearly knew how to pick a magical night." You joked, referring to Abu. You closed your hands and the silver glow disappeared.
"You know what we should do tomorrow night when all of this is over?" Scott asked his friends. Isaac nodded, wondering what Scott wanted to do with their first night of freedom that summer. "We should get Mexican food."
"Oh, I love Mexican." Isaac grinned, and you laughed.
It was close to 1:30AM and Scott ferried all of the living victims of the rabisu attacks into the pool. He had explained to all of the people that Cora and Hayden had rounded up and trapped in a classroom, including Coach Finstock, the truth about what had attacked them and what was happening that night. They all agreed to participate willingly, all wanting the rabisu gone from Beacon Hills.
You kept a close eye on Stiles, who was treading water near the Sheriff, and Scott. Isaac, Cora, Zachary, Ethan, Liam, Malia and Parrish were also in the pool. Twenty-seven living victims bobbed up and down in the water and you only watched Stiles as you walked around the pool, full of clean water, tossing your mixture of garlic, herbs, flowers, salt and wool in around them.
You began the incantation as the hour drew near. You got on your knees on the side of the pool, the cement conforming to your taut skin, and placed the palms of your hands against the water’s surface. You closed your eyes and began to speak. "O Enki, God of Creation and Water, of Magic and Mischief. I call on you from the star of Ea to wash away the flames and the stench. Creator of all but your kin, purify and protect those you call sons and daughters. May they be victims no more to your creations." You paused.
"Alright, take a deep breath and when she says 'peeled', go deep under the water and stay down for at least twenty seconds." Stiles yelled to everyone around him, treading water in the pool.
You continued, the water around your hands faintly glowing silver as you lost yourself in the words of the incantation. "The place, after Enki is clean, that place is bright. Let the tears fall from your face and cleanse them with fire and water, make them anew. May their spells be.." Allison walked over and handed you a lit match, and you continued. "… peeled away like garlic!" You said the words and dropped the single match into the water. The surface of the pool was engulfed in a massive blue flame that was gone as quickly as it came, simmered orange for a brief moment, and then disappeared altogether.
You watched as Stiles and the Pack members surfaced first, then glanced around and saw the rest of the heads of the survivors bob up from under the water. You leaned your chest against the tops of your thighs and leaned your head into your hands, the backs of which were resting against the wet cement. You let out a sigh of relief and watched as everyone began making their way out of the pool.
The moon began to disappear behind the trees and the earth began to glow a subtle dark blue, as you watched the last of the people who had been in the pool emerge from the locker rooms, clean and in fresh clothes. It was 4:45AM and the sun was rising at 5:39AM. You sighed and looked at the row of small knives sitting on the table next to you.
Liam, Corey and Mason were lining the goat skulls up just on the inside of the double doors. They were preparing to summon the rabisu and help you finish the last sequence of the Maqlû, finally destroying the ancient demons of the night.
Mason, Allison, Chris, Melissa, Noah, and Stiles stepped up to the table and grabbed knives. They each cut the palms of their left hands and smeared their mortal blood on the twenty goat skulls. Then Liam, Isaac, Ethan, Corey and Scott then began shoving the skulls out onto the pavement, summoning the rabisu to the high school. As they were doing this, you poured the clean, purified, filtered water into the glass bowl and walked up to the doorway.
It was 5:29: ten minutes until the sun rose in the sky, marking a new day in Beacon Hills. You stood next to your supernatural friends and waited. When the rabisu began to appear en masse, Parrish, Hayden, Cora, Zachary, Malia, Theo, Derek and Peter, all stepped up next to Scott, you, Liam, Isaac, Ethan and Corey. You all stepped out together and began fighting the rabisu, who were rabidly trying to get to you in the center of your friends.
You began your final incantation, trying to block out the shrieks from the creatures and the painful cries of your friends. "O Nuksu, the protective night light, I envoke you and your terrestrial fire to call your children back to you in the depths of the night sky, never to return. O Shamash, this is my ritual plea, savior and creator, bring salvation from the night to us with your warm glow."
"Y/N!" Stiles screamed from the inside. "No, Dad, let me go!"
You lurched forward and felt a sharp pain spread across your back. You ignored it. You splashed the clean water onto your face, and then knelt over the bowl, finding your moment of recognition. "You are my reflection ... You are mine, and I am yours. May nobody know you, may no evil approach you!"
You looked up as you heard the shrieking cries of twenty rabisu suddenly being bound to the earth by your magic. The Pack, beaten and wounded, closed ranks around the kneeling witch. The sun began to rise, and twenty ancient demons suddenly began to turn into embers that blew away in the morning breeze.
The last thing you remembered seeing was the beautiful mixture of the orange and yellow morning sunrise, juxtaposed with the burning and disappearing black aura that floated around the rabisu.

Hi same anon from before, I wanted to request a stalia post break up au "we broke up after I left and moved away and months later I find out you rushed to the airport to stop me but you were too late" or "I found the ring when i was moving stuff out of your apartment and now everything makes sense" Pleasee
hmm, alright, here we go:
‘We broke up, and after I’d already left and moved away, months later, I found out that you’d rushed to the airport to stop me but you were too late.’
------------------------------------------------------
Malia hadn’t really had any reason to stay in Beacon Hills, all things considered. She’d lost her boyfriend, her mother had tried to kill her, her ex had been erased from reality - Malia hadn’t had any reason to stay. Sure, she’d had friends - friends who had decided her feelings for her ex didn’t exist, friends who had guilt tripped her into staying as long as she did - Malia had had to leave. Her life in Beacon Hills had never been a nice one even when she’d had the memories of her ex - and, once she got them back, that’s what he was. Her ex. Someone who... just, well, didn’t love her any longer.
Or did he? Malia didn’t spend her time thinking about those sorts of things - they hurt too much. And besides, as far as Malia knows, Lydia had resolved to start something with him anyway, and - it hurt, sure, but Malia...
He’d told Lydia he’d loved her. That was enough for Malia.
So yes. Malia booked tickets. She’s been in France for a few months now and it’s - nice. The younger drinking age is a bonus, and even if she’s not very good at French the language is nice enough on her ears. The boys are cute enough, even if a few look down on her for not speaking French which she gets; she’s in France, after all. Anyway, Malia’s staying with Isaac, who lives in a three-bed apartment near where Chris Argent lives with all his Argent buddies.
Isaac isn’t around much, really, so Malia hasn’t gotten to know him very well. She’s kind of glad, in a way, because he vaguely reminds her of Stiles. And that... actually hurts, a little. The vagueness.
Regardless, Malia’s free to do what she wants. Which is cool, and all, but she’s only free for the rest of the year. Come twenty-fifteen, Malia will no longer be free. Which, ugh, but - that’s fine. A year out of education isn’t a bad thing; Malia had nine and she’s done pretty well for herself, all things considered.
It’s not like Malia doesn’t miss Beacon Hills in a weird kind of way, though. Not that she isn’t glad to be out of that hell hole, it’s just that - well, it was familiar. She had friends there, she’d had a home, her dad - not, vehemently not Peter - and it had been - safe. At least emotionally.
Here - it’s so different. Small. Beacon Hills was small enough, sure, but that’s by the standards of a country way, way bigger than France. Malia feels like she could run across the entirety of the width of France and still be back by dinner, and that’s - Stifling, in a way.
So sue her. She’s feeling nostalgic. It’s been - months, sure, and Malia... well. Call her curious.
Malia opens her laptop and goes with a safe option. She calls up her dad, first - on her phone, actually, not her laptop; that’s for later - and sees what he’s got going on. She tries her best to be discrete about it, and Henry seems to be unaware of her gentle probing for info.
He’s fine; his job is going okay, now that he’s drinking less, and - so far as he tells her - nobodies been around to see if she’s spoken to him recently.
Malia wonders if they did that at all. Or if they just... let her go.
“Bye dad.” She says, at the end of the conversation, and hangs up.
Malia opens skype, hesitates her cursor over a few names. Malia doesn’t know if Stiles took his laptop to wherever he ended up, so Malia doesn’t call him.
That’s her excuse, anyway. She still has his phone number.
Malia calls up - Liam, because he isn’t Scott and he isn’t Lydia and the call rings out for a few then:
“Malia?” Liam asks, surprised. Malia still isn’t happy with him for bringing back Theo, but she doesn’t really have any other less painful options, due to Kira no longer being around.
“Yeah.” She says. “Been a while.”
“No kidding,” Liam frowns at her. “Scott’s been worried. We all have.”
Malia keeps her face carefully blank, and shrugs. “I arrived safe,” She says, dry, and adds, “I thought that was - was all that was needed.”
Liam - keeps frowning, but it softens. Malia doesn’t really know what to say - it’s only been a few months, but it feels like so much longer.
(Malia travels France as a coyote, now that she can. Perhaps it’s due to that? After all, once Malia had turned back to human that first time, days felt like forever compared to what she was used to. Maybe it’s a similar thing.)
Liam looks her over. “Just... call more often, okay?”
Malia nods, swallows. She cancells the call.
---
Two days later, Malia calls Scott.
“Hi.” She says. Malia’s using her phone because she doesn’t think she could stand to see his face right now. “Were you ever planning on revising your ‘had a connection like you guys’ to Lydia or what?”
She’s drunk. It’s three am, here in France. Malia has no idea what time it is back in America.
There’s a pause. “... You’re drunk, Malia.” Scott says, oh-so-soft, and Malia glowers at the ceiling.
Malia doesn’t respond to that. Silence, for a moment. Then -
“... I was wrong.” Scott says. Contrite. “The memories hadn’t come back yet fully - I... I was wrong.”
Malia feels - vindicated. But it hurts. She cancels the call.
---
Four days later, Malia calls Lydia.
“Fuck you,” She says. “And I’m sorry for bailing.”
Malia had heard about the fear guy, the hunters. Malia is sorry, but it’s over now, and there’s nothing she can do about what has happened in the past.
She would if she could. But she can’t.
“I’m sorry we didn’t tell you,” Lydia apologizes, genuinely.
Malia’s lips twist. That wasn’t what she’d swore for, but she’ll let Lydia think it was. Lydia was sorry, after all. And Malia has gotten better at forgiveness because Malia wants to be nothing like her biological father.
It’s been months. Malia should be over this by now. It’s not even a betrayal - Malia wasn’t dating him. He was just -
It’s nothing. It can be nothing but nothing, so Malia pushes aside those thoughts.
There’s a pause, and then:
“... I thought you should know,” Lydia says, “that-”
Malia hangs up.
----
“You should really pick that up.”
Isaac is at the apartment, for once, and it just has to be when Malia gets another call. It’s been a few weeks since she called Lydia, and Malia doesn’t want to hear any of what she has to say. It’s petty, Malia knows - but Malia has already said her part.
Fuck you. And I’m sorry.
Malia groans and closes her laptop, resigned. “You’re right,” She says, sighing.
“Always am,” He says, then leaves, and she grumbles before grabbing the phone and hitting accept.
“What?” She demands.
“I was never dating Stiles and I’m sorry if we made it seem that way,” Lydia rushes out, “And when I kissed him, he didn’t kiss me back.”
Malia - paused before hitting the end call button. Lydia takes this as permission to continue.
“Remember when I sensed he was in danger and ran off?” Lydia asks but doesn’t give Malia time to respond or end the call. “I saved him from being shot by one of the Riders, and then from being choked to death by his fake mom - along with Noah; he shot her, I screamed -  but, before we got accosted by her, after I’d saved Stiles, I kissed him. It - it was kind of awkward. I squished his nose, and he just sort of stood there. So - I figured that I’d read things wrong; turns out I did. Stiles told me he loved me, Malia - I took that to mean he was in love with me. There’s - there’s a difference.”
Malia swallows, and Lydia seems to take a second before continuing.
“He’d have said the same to Scott or his Dad or - whoever he cared about to that extent that was in the car with him.” Lydia says, and Malia takes this in. “I don’t know what he would have said to you, but - I thought you should know.”
“What took you so long to tell me?” Malia asks and regrets it. The hunters, of course. The fear guy.
“Things went to hell really fast.” Lydia sighs. “I just.. forgot.”
Malia nods.
“... I’m sorry.” Lydia says. Malia ends the call, but texts her -
Thanks.
Smart people make mistakes.
Malia - smiles, slightly, at the usage of that. It - hurts, though.
I know you might not want to but - talk to Stiles. Please.
Malia doesn’t owe anyone anything. But she is owed an explanation.
----
Another week passes, and Malia finally stops avoiding the last person she needs to contact.
Malia hesitates - she can’t call him, can’t video chat; they’d both be a disaster.
Malia opens her laptop and deliberates over what to say.
It’s been a while, I guess. It’s been... long enough.
You up to talking?
- Mal
Malia hesitates.
- Malia
Malia sends the message, the email, and waits.
----
Sorry that it took so long to reply. It’s been a little hectic, catching up with what I missed when I left college to help out Scott and the others - the hunters and then Scott getting his eyes clawed out and having to talk him into healing, it was a mess - so I didn’t see this for ages.
Kinda feels like a theme, huh? Nevermind, you won’t get that.
Anyway... yeah. It’s been - long enough.
I’d be good with talking, if you want, still.
- Are we using full names now? Because I can’t spell mine. Anyway; Stiles.
----
Malia is distracted for another month with helping out Isaac and Argent purge the Argent Hunters of any actual psychos, so she doesn’t see the email she got in response until the snow starts falling.
Malia grimaces, wraps her coat tighter. She’ll be back at the apartment in a few seconds, and so she doesn’t need to worry so much about the cold.
Malia gets into the apartment at a quater to one on friday morning. It’s been weeks since she was last here, but her computer had been dead and she’d only had enough time to put it on charge before needing to leave again.
Now, she gets inside, drops her coat, kicks off her shoes and grabs her laptop. Malia drops onto the couch and logs on - she’ll proabaly just watch some youtube for a bit before nodding off -
Malia pauses - stops in her tracks. She’s got an email.
Malia’s suddenly hit with actual fear, a fair bit of worry. Fear that it isn’t him, worry that it is.
Malia clicks on the email, and reads it.
---
Stiles hasn’t had the best few months, all things considered. He’s out for the winter, though, so he’s on his way back down to Beacon - Stiles met up with Scott on the way, and they’ve stopped at a motel.
“I hate these,” Stiles grumbles, strides on into their room and drops his bag onto the right-most bed. “This one’s mine,” He says, and Scott nods, sighs.
“Me too,” He mutters, drops his bag onto the other bed, gets out some travel soap and whatever and goes into the bathroom.
Stiles gets out his laptop. He’s gained the habit of checking his emails every week at least once, and that’s due.
Stiles pauses, sees the email. It’s from yesterday. Stiles reads it, closes his eyes, and gets out his phone.
---
Yeah. I’d like that.
- For now. Malia.
---
“Nobody stopped me,” Malia admits. There’s no greater way to get her to leave than to have nobody say she shouldn’t.
“...I - yeah.” Stiles lets out. “Yeah. Nobody stopped you in time.”
It’s a few days later. They’re both a little drunk, which probably isn’t the best idea but -
Well. Neither of them really want to have this conversation.
“Nobody stopped you,” Stiles repeats. His words ring hollow, and Malia frowns.
“Well yeah,” Malia said. “Nobody came to see me off, either.”
“I tried,” Stiles says, suddenly, and Malia nearly drops the phone. “I - “
Stiles stops. Malia sits up, slowly, reaches for her laptop.
“I wanna talk on skype.” She says, abrupt. “... Face to face.”
Malia can almost see his nod - jerky and uncertain. She hears him rub his hand down his face before saying, “Yeah, okay.” And cutting the call.
Malia opens up Skype and hesitates. Stiles calls first - she waits for a beat before answering.
... he still looks like Stiles. It’s easy to see in his face; his features but then, Stiles has always had a recognisable face. It’s the little differences -  longer hair, no longer gelled. He’s no longer clean-shaven, either. Malia thinks he’s still in his uniform because he’s in a slightly rumpled white shirt, but he must have gotten uncomfortable because he’s loosened the tie and unbuttoned the top button.
He looks like an adult. Malia’s suddenly terrifed of the fact that she’s no longer a teenager.
“I havent had a chance to shave,” Stiles says. “You look - good.”
Malia’s in an old T-Shirt and some shorts. She’s not even sure if the T-shirt is hers, because it’s a little too big - big enough to fall off her should and need a camisole underneath. Due to the weather, she’s wearing leggings and a hoodie - Malia belatedly realises it was the one she’d never given back to him because Stiles -
“You too.” Malia manages. “You look good.”
There’s an awkward pause. Malia thinks this is worse than whatever he’d said before. Malia brings up that again, because she’d rather that than this silence.
“Yeah.” Stiles scratches the back of his neck, awkward and contrite. “I came to - I don’t know. Convince you to stay, see you off.”
He pauses.
“Be there for you, I guess. Maybe - “
Stiles hesitated. Malia simply stared, and he looked away.
“Maybe see if you remembered. I - I didn’t want to be selfish but I didn’t want you to leave hating me.”
Malia continues staring, and Stiles seems to flounder for something to say.
“Did you love me?” Malia asks. “Like you loved Lydia?”
There’s a difference between loving someone, and being in love with them.
”Not the same way I loved Lydia.” He said. “Not the same way I love Scott or my Dad.”
Malia nods. It’s... progress. She smiles slightly at the thought, and Stiles seems to take that as her smiling at him, and she’’l let him, because, in a way, that kind of was Malia smiling at him.
Her memories of him. That she now has.
Malia paused.
“... you wanted to see if I rememberd what the others didn’t, didn’t you?”
Stiles stops.
“So you did?” Stiles says. “You remembered that we-”
“Were together.” Malia finishes. “Yeah, I remember.”
“We broke up.” Stiles says. “I think.”
“Yeah, nobody was really sure about that.” Malia says. “Even us.”
Stiles glances to the side, before looking back to Malia. “I’m sorry.”
“Smart people make mistakes.” Malia says.
“Not just because they think it’s right,” Stiles says. “Sometimes they’re just mistakes.”
Malia nods. Maybe, she thinks, they’ll get through this.
“I think - “ Stiles pauses. “Theo would really hate it if you came back, and also I don’t want to have to get him a good present, so, how about you visit? For a week or so, around christmas?”
Malia laughs, slightly. “Yeah,” She says. “Yeah, okay.”
Stiles nods. “I’ll meet you there.” He says.
“You better.” Malia nods. She cuts the call, leans back -
Smiles. It’ll be good to go home for the holiday season. And maybe - just maybe - they can fix things. Malia is... hopeful.
It’s a nice feeling.

Heart of the Heartless [CH14 & CH15]
Chapter 14: Isaac Lahey, Zombie Hunter
“Okay, firstly: I definitely had a feeling about Jackson. Secondly, no one called me, okay? Absolutely no one. It’s not my fault,” he said, affronted. “Thirdly I was in South America, Stiles, okay? South America, fighting zombies.”
Stiles let out a disgusted ‘pfft’ and rolled his eyes. “Excuses. We all almost died—Scott actually did die,” he said, “Theo killed him, but okay, whatever, you and your zombies.”
“What happened to France?” interjected Scott.
“Didn’t work out. Too many French people,” said Isaac.
“Meet Isaac,” Scott said. “Isaac Lahey.”
Melissa seemed happy enough to see him if her squeal of delight was a sign and she rushed over to give him a big hug.
“Isaac,” Scott turned to the guy just as Melissa let him out of the hug and stepped back, “This is Theo,” he motioned to him. Theo just raised an awkward hand up in greeting. “And you met Malia,” he said, motioning to Malia still standing apart from them with his thumb. “And Mason and Corey.”
“Wait,” Mason said suddenly, “The Isaac Lahey?” he asked excitedly.
“You know him?” Corey asked.
“Well… I know of him,” Mason exclaimed, and Theo could see Isaac almost beaming proudly at the comment, obviously it didn’t matter what he was infamous for, as it did the fact that he was infamous at all. “I was at the lacrosse match a couple of years ago when you mowed down like half of your own team. That was intense! I mean, I definitely thought you were on drugs or something, but knowing what I know now… let me guess: it was something supernatural related?”
“Kanima,” Isaac explained with a satisfied grin. “Speaking of which, how is Jackson?”
“Still a douche bag,” said Stiles brusquely, “And he’s gay or something nowadays,” he added as an afterthought. “Anyway, can we please get back to the matter at hand now, please?—By the way, nice of you to finally join us, Isaac.”
Too many French people,” said Isaac, “But – hang on… Scott what now?” Isaac said, looking at Theo and quickly glancing at Scott for an explanation.
Scott just chuckled nervously. “It’s a long story,” he said. “You’ve been gone quite a while you know, and—wait a minute…where’s Liam?” he asked suddenly, obviously sensing his lack of presence among them.
Theo was almost hesitant to answer. “I dropped him off at home earlier. He said it was time he had a talk with his parents,” he said, feeling his heart skipping a beat. In the rush of everything that happened the thought of Liam had almost slipped his mind. “I’ve been trying to call him but none of the phones are working.”
“Damn it,” Scott cursed, running a hand through his hair. “I guess… I guess we’re just going to have to go pick him up after this; we need to figure this thing out first.”
“I’ll go,” Theo said, stepping up.
“I’ll go too,” Mason said.
For a second Scott seemed like he was actually considering the offer, but eventually he shook his head. “No, it’s not safe to go out alone right now,” he said, though it seemed to physically pain him saying those words as it pained Theo to hear them.
“Do we actually know what we’re dealing with now?” Melissa asked.
The question immediately sobered Scott up; he bent down to rest him palms face down on the table before him. “Not what,” he said with a sigh, “Who.” Malia stepped up to Scott’s side, reaching down to grasp his hand in hers before Scott looked up to lock eyes on every single person in the room. “Monroe.”
They could have heard a pin drop through the silence.
“That bitch,” Stiles said, and Theo couldn’t agree more with the sentiment. “Why did no one kill her when they had the chance? I thought that’s what Peter was good for—why else do we keep him around?”
“We didn’t get the chance. She bailed before anyone would really get a grasp on what had happened,” Scott said, and he sounded far too relaxed for someone who was public enemy number one in Monroe’s book. It was no wonder they went after him and Melissa.
“How do you know?” Corey asked.
“I had Argent following up on a few cases, so we suspected that she was definitely not going out without a fight. But the confirmation that this is all her doing, well… that’s all thanks to Nolan. He’s been keeping in contact with Monroe the whole time,” Scott explained.
Every single person besides Isaac spontaneously shared one mind in that moment, because they all said the name aloud questioningly at the same time.
“Nolan, Scott? Really? Have you lost your freaking mind? Do you remember what he did?” Stiles almost yelled; everything about his body language exuded irritation and annoyance.
“He was manipulated by Monroe and Gerard, just like the rest of them. And I thought he more than proved himself by the end.”
Stiles exhaled exasperatedly, burrowing his face in his hands and having the aura of someone who had lost all confidence in humanity. “You’re too trusting, Scott; haven’t I told you that before?”
“And you’re not trusting enough, Stiles,” Scott argued back. “People can change, and if you give them a chance, they might even surprise you.”
“But… But… Nolan, Scott. Nolan. I don’t like the look of the guy.”
“Stiles,” Scott said, using the tone of voice of someone who was dealing with a petulant child throwing a tantrum. “You don’t like the look of anyone.”
“That’s not true,” he said. “I like Malia’s look and Lydia’s look… and… umm…” he muttered, trailing off.
“Anyway, as I was saying; Nolan, reached out to me—or rather, he reached out to Liam to reach out to me. Apparently Monroe contacted him after she skipped town—I don’t think the news of his double crossing managed to reach her, since everyone who was there at the hospital that day didn’t make it out. But he pretended that he was still loyal to the cause and that he was spying on us for Monroe, when in fact he was actually spying on her for us.”
“How do you know he wasn’t playing both ends of the field though?” Stiles asked with a tired sigh.
“Because he didn’t have to let me know that she’d contacted him. He could have played his part and spied for them and none of us would have been wiser. But he reached out to us; he wants to prove himself and I think he has. He’s the one who tipped us off to the murders and how they weren’t the supernatural kind like we’d been led to believe. Instead of people being murdered by the supernatural as they’d wanted to make it seem, it was supernatural creatures being murdered by hunters and staged to look like animal attacks.”
“Okay, I accept that,” Stiles said. “Which brings me to my second, yet most pressing matter: how come I’m only hearing about this now? Ummm, hello—am I or am I not your bestest friend? Your most trusted confidant and co-Alpha of this pack?”
Isaac’s derisive snort was met with a biting glare from Stiles.
Scott smiled sheepishly. “I’m sorry, but I needed your distrust to be genuine,” he said to Stiles’s offended, ‘Excuse me?’— “We didn’t know what spies Monroe had in town and I couldn’t have other people suspecting what was going on.”
Stiles seemed to bite the inside of his cheek. “Who else knew?”
“No one! Just Nolan, myself… and Liam,” Scott said the last bit as quietly as he could with a cough.
“Liam?” Stiles asked. He looked absolutely scandalized at the insinuation. “Liam? You told the world’s angriest beta instead of the person you trusted most in this universe? I’m… I’m—ugh, I don’t even recognize you right now, Scott. Don’t look at me.” On any other day, Theo would have found their bantering far more amusing, but he could only focus on going out there to get Liam as soon as possible.
Scott looked apologetic but more on the amused side. “What time is it?” he asked instead.
“Almost two,” Melissa answered, looking at her watch. “What are you going to do?”
“Well… first we’re going to get Liam—” a choked spluttering sound came from Stiles at the mention of the name. “And then we’re going to have to figure out an actual plan. But first, we need the whole pack present and accounted for.”
They were all so focused on what was happening in the moment that none of them realized the new presence walking up to the house until the sound of knocking reached their ears.
“Crap!” Malia said, rushing back to the window to look out. The tension eased from her shoulders soon enough before she straightened up with a sigh and reached to open the door, revealing the nervous face of Nolan standing on the doorstep. Without word Malia reached over, grabbing him by the arm and dragged him roughly into the house.
“Nolan?” Scott said, walking up concernedly. “Is everything alright?”
“Y-Yeah,” he stuttered out, “But—um, I’m actually with someone,” he said, motioning to the door before a second unexpected knock came.
This time it was Scott who reached over to open the door and whoever it was standing on the doorstep, hidden from sight, was unexpected enough that it caused Scott to actually laugh out loud before he stepped aside to allow the other person entrance.
“Coach!” exclaimed Stiles.
“Yeah, Stilinski, it’s me,” Coach Finstock announced with gusto. “And that there,” he motioned to the door, “Was beyond rude by the way, especially since I came across this idiot running across town in the middle of the night like his ass was on fire and selflessly drove him all the way down here.”
“Uhh—what were you doing in town in the middle of the night, Coach?” Scott asked, and almost cowered when the coach turned a glare on him.
“Teaching Greenberg the fine arts of coaching lacrosse, what do you think I was doing, McCall? All my best players abandoned me and now I’m stuck with that useless moronic waste of space. When life hands you rotten lemons and all that,” he said, turning around to glare at the occupants of the room. He did a double take when his eyes fell on Isaac who looked like was trying to make himself and small and unnoticeable as possible. “Lahey?”
Isaac let out a nervous laugh, raising a half-hearted hand in greeting. “Hey, Coach. How’s it going?”
“How’s it going?” he asked cynically. “How’s it going? You mean since you steamrolled your own teammates in the most important match of the year, actively lost us the damn game and left me being the laughing stock of the entire lacrosse underground? It’s been going great, Lahey—amazing! Spectacular, in fact.”
“Not that we don’t appreciate you bringing Nolan all the way here, Coach,” Scott said, cutting into the conversation and trying not to let the urgency in his voice come across too obviously. “But you had something to tell us, Nolan?”
The sudden attention focused on him threw Nolan a little and he struggled to find the words. “I-I tried calling you and Liam earlier. Monroe only told me last minute about the plan but by the time she hung up all the phone lines had gone dead. I think it’s part of her plan. She wouldn’t tell me what it was exactly, but it’s something big. The supernatural killings across the county were just a distraction to get eyes off of Beacon Hills.”
“Hang on, Monroe? Guidance counselor Monroe? What does she have to do with anything?” Coach asked.
“She’s the one responsible for the attack on the town a couple of months ago; her and another man, but it’s just her left now,” Mason explained.
“Wow,” said Coach. “I never trusted her to be honest.”
Stiles turned to Coach with an unsurprised expression. “Let me guess… she didn’t like Independence Day?”
“How do you trust someone who doesn’t!” he said with a little too much fervour. “That, and I don’t trust people who go by only one name. Look at Drake; can’t ever trust a guy who sings about phone jewelry—I mean look at Greenberg.”
“I’m pretty sure her first name was Tamora though, Coach,” added Stiles exasperatedly.
“Shut up, Stilinski.”
Scott rubbed his hands across his face with a sigh, looking out at the faces staring back at him, expecting something… a plan, anything.
Theo just wanted to go out there and get Liam. That was number one on his list of priorities.
“Theo and I will go get Liam, the rest of you bunker up here until we get back. We don’t know what Monroe is planning, so it’s better not to split up.”
“I’m coming with you,” Isaac said, walking up beside Scott. “I came back here to help you. I’m not getting left behind.”
“I’m coming too,” Mason said. “Liam’s my best friend; I need to make sure he’s safe. Plus you’ll need me to make an excuse for his parents.”
Scott looked between Isaac and Mason, obviously weighing the pros and cons of bringing one or the other. Eventually he turned to Isaac, an apologetic look on his face. “I need you to stay here. You’re one of the most experienced fighters we have and if you come with me, it’ll be just Malia left to protect everyone. Lydia’s in no shape to fight and Corey is inexperienced. It’ll be a huge load of my mind knowing that everyone here is protected,” he explained.
Isaac just sighed, crossing his arms over his chest. “Fine… but just because it’s for you, Scott.”
Scott beamed at that, reaching over to embrace him. Isaac returned the hug easily, a small smile on his own face.
He motioned to Theo and Mason with a nod and the two of them trailed after him as he walked out the door; hearing the sounds of the locks being bolted behind them as they made their way to Theo’s truck.
The drive to Liam’s was done in silence. The apprehension hung thick in the air and everyone could barely contain their own worry for Liam’s safety. Scott had obviously played down his concern back at the house so as to not cause fear among everyone else. But being so close to Scott in the small vicinity of the truck, Mason brooding silently in the backseat, Theo could smell the apprehension radiating off of him.
“He’ll be okay guys,” Mason said from the backseat, obviously reading the tension in the truck. “It’s Liam.”
Scott smiled at the comment but it eased his fear as much as it did Theo’s, which was not at all. Theo wasn’t going to believe anything until he saw Liam safe with his own two eyes.
The lights in the house were off when Theo pulled in, and Scott was out the door before the engine could fully switch off; marching across the lawn and up the steps. Both Mason and himself had to jog to keep up with him just as he stepped up to the welcome mat on the front door.
Somewhere in the background there was an incessant barking sound going on nonstop. Theo was surprised it hadn’t managed to wake up the entire neighbourhood considering the fervent way the dog was going at it.
The moment Theo stepped onto the porch he immediately had a dark foreboding feeling that something wasn’t right. It was an aftereffect of living with the Dread Doctors for so long; he seemed to have developed an inane sense for the ominous. For one thing; the whole area of the porch smelled like Liam, which wasn’t out of the ordinary because it was Liam’s house after all. But the scent was more concentrated the further away he was from the door.
Scott was talking with Mason, debating how to go about everything when Theo blurted out without even realizing. “He didn’t go into the house,” he said, staring at the far end of the porch headed towards the backyard. “His scent… it’s leading away from the door.”
He marched on without making sure if Scott and Mason were following him, but the closer he got to the backyard, the louder the sound of barking seemed to become. He walked over to the gate that separated Liam’s yard from the neighbour next door, heaving himself up over on the small step ladder conveniently placed against it and peering in. Only then did he hear the second voice, drowned out by the barking, futilely calling out a name. He felt Scott step up on the other section of the step, looking down at the same thing he was: a short round dog barking incessantly at the far end gate and an elderly man standing at the top of the steps calling out the dog’s name.
“Gertie, come back here!”
Scott heaved himself up over the fence, landing in a crouch on the other side. If the dog had been barking as a warning for intruders, it was obviously doing a terrible job at it because it didn’t pay Scott any attention, just continuing to bark at something in the trees behind the house.
Theo mimicked Scott’s action and a few seconds later he heard Mason’s ‘oof’ as he landed hard on the ground behind him.
“That’s Liam’s neighbour, the Milburns,” Mason explained. “Liam always helped out with their dog getting stuck in the dog door.”
They reached Scott just as he finished introducing himself.
“You’re Liam’s friend,” Mr. Milburn said. “Good kid, always helped out with Gertie in the middle of the night. Gertie must miss him, he’s been gone for a while now, and she hasn’t stopped barking for hours,” he said. “Gertie!” he called again; the name falling on deaf ears and the dog continued to pay him no mind. “I don’t know what’s wrong with her. She’s never acted like this before.”
“Did Liam come over tonight?” Scott asked, “To help with your dog?”
“No,” the old man said. “Haven’t seen him in about a week. I heard he was visiting a sick friend.”
“Has the dog been barking at the same spot the entire time?” Mason asked. “Do you have any idea what’s in the woods behind there?”
The only man seemed to consider his answer for a while before he shook his head. “And Gertie’s never acted up this way before.”
“You said it started a couple of hours ago? How long exactly do you recall?”
“About midnight, I think. She usually makes her way out into the yard about this time and Liam would come over when he hears her yelping because she got stuck in the door. But she went out earlier and didn’t come back in, and all of a sudden she just started barking something awful.”
Scott shared a concerned look with Theo and Mason before turning back to Mr. Milburn. “Sir, do you mind if we bring Gertie in the woods with us, just to check things out? Maybe she sensed something happening there.” The old man looked visibly hesitant so Scott tried to reassure him. “I’ll take good care of her, I promise.”
Eventually he gave a small nod. “The key to the gate is under a fake rock, second from the left,” he said, “Just so you don’t have to lift her up the fence and risk pulling out your back.”
So the tree of them and Gertie, who kept close to Mason the whole time, made their way into the underbrush leading into the canvas of trees in the background. Gertie sniffed the ground as she walked, weaving in and out, between the trees.
Theo tried to catch a scent himself but there was something in the air that was throwing him off. Scott noticed his look and fell back to walk in step with him. “You noticed it too huh? The smell?”
Theo nodded. “I don’t like this. Something… something is definitely wrong,” he said. “I shouldn’t have let him go home. I should have gone back to get him the moment the shit hit the fan,” he said, his frustration and anger aimed more at himself than Scott.
“It’s not your fault,” Scott said. “If anything, I should have sensed that something was wrong—I should have known something was going to happen. I should have protected my pack.”
Theo exhaled and opened his mouth to say something, but before the words could leave his lips, he heard Mason’s frantic voice calling his and Scott’s name from somewhere up ahead.
Both of them immediately ran forward, finding Mason standing by a large overgrown root next to a huge tree and Gertie fussing around with something at the foot of it, whinnying pathetically. They stopped when they reached Mason’s side and looked down to see whatever it was Mason was gaping horrified at.
It was a large dark spot staining the side of the tree and the ground of leaves at the bottom. In the darkness it looked like just an innocent shadow. But when the light of the moon hit with a beam, illuminating the entire area within their vicinity, the large black shadow on the ground almost came to life in a colour.
A dark shade of red.
Blood red.
The side of the tree and the scuffed up ground near the root was saturated with blood, and there was no Liam in sight.
The three of them could do nothing but share a horrified look as Gertie’s distraught whining filled the sound of silence in that dark dank forest that night.
Chapter 15: An Unfortunate Kidnapping
Theo had never felt more frustrated or angry at himself than he did in that moment. Liam had been taken, he was hurt, they didn’t know how hurt, while they were all playing house and talking bullshit and reminiscing and he’d just stood back and done nothing when his instincts had been shouting at him to go get Liam, to go check on him to make sure he was alright. But he’d done nothing. He sent Liam back to his house that night. He was responsible for him being gone. He was responsible for him being hurt. Liam had changed his mind; he decided not to leave and Theo had made him, he’s pushed him out. And now Liam was gone and it was his fault.
Scott had been beyond frantic after the discovery; hollering Liam’s name desperately as the three of them and a yapping Gertie scoured the entire wooded area trying to find a clue or catch a scent or just get anything that would be able to help them find Liam or find out who took him. But all three of them already knew who was responsible.
“That bitch!” Mason spat. “That fuc-That bitch! That… What are we going to do, Scott?” he turned around to face Scott who was staring out at the vast area spread out before him, his back to them. “Scott… what are we going to do? They have him. They have Liam.” He nearly cried.
Theo couldn’t concentrate on anything; he couldn’t focus on anything besides the smell of copper and the metallic tang he could still taste on the tip of his tongue. His heart was pounding in his chest so hard he could almost hear the sound reverberating off the trees, drowning him, muffling his senses and stripping him of all coherent thought.
Liam had been taken. He was hurt, badly and it was all Theo’s fault.
It was his fault.
His sister died because of him and now Liam was going to die because of him.
Liam was going to die.
It was his fault.
A sudden sharp pain in his left cheek broke him out of his reverie and he looked up to stare straight into Mason’s teary, concerned eyes.
“Don’t disappear on us now, man,” he said. “Not now. Liam needs us.”
Theo could only stare at him transfixed for a moment before he nodded hesitantly and watched as Mason immediately turned around marched over to where Scott was still standing brooding, staring despondently off into the distance. He watched as Mason grabbed Scott by the scruff of his shirt, pulling him around to face him. He watched as Mason said the exact same thing to Scott that he’d said to him and the way Scott’s face immediately changed after.
“I know Liam means a lot to the two of you,” Mason said, addressing Scott and Theo with a single look. “But I’ve known him longer than the both of you combined. He’s my best friend and my brother and we’ve been there for each other since the beginning, so… so the two of you—you have to get your heads straight, because the longer we keep over thinking the worst and trying to blame ourselves for this… that’s a second longer we’re not out there trying to save him. So… cut it out!”
Scott was the first one to move, reaching over to clasp Mason tight on the shoulder. “You’re right,” he said; his other hand reaching up to scrub his face, as wiping away all the traces of his fear. “There will be time for the blame game after, first we have to find Liam and bring him home.” Scott finished, his eyes glancing away from Mason after a while stare at Theo and in that moment Theo felt like Scott’s gaze was piercing him straight through the soul, as if speaking to without using words. In that moment Theo understood what it felt to have an Alpha, because the moment Scott’s eyes found his, the moment his brightly shining soul touched Theo’s torn, blackened, tainted one, in that moment, every fiber of Theo’s being said that he would gladly follow this man to the ends of the earth.
In that moment, Theo felt a little less empty on the inside.
In that moment, he felt like he wasn’t so completely alone.
He nodded; pushing back all the dark thoughts and the feelings of self-loathing. He was responsible for Liam being taken. He was responsible for Liam being hurt and he was doing to do absolutely everything to get him back. He could wallow and brood to his heart’s content after. The priority right then was Liam.
The drive back to the McCall house was done in silence and suffocating unease. He’d gone straight to the truck parked in the street outside Liam’s house while Scott carried Gertie back to her awaiting owner who had been waiting worriedly for them on the back porch of his house. Scott had made up some excuse about a stray coyote but if what Scott suspected was indeed true, the only reason the old man bought the excuse was out of courtesy. The elderly people in Beacon Hills were obviously not as dumb or blind as the younger generation.
Everyone had obviously been waiting on pins and needles for them when they arrived because the moment they pulled into the street, everyone was out the door, waiting for them on the front porch.
Scott’s face and the lack of Liam among their returning group probably said it all because Melissa gasped, her hands flying to her mouth as Malia turned around and buried herself in Stiles’s embrace. Even Stiles for once, had nothing cynical to say.
Corey rushed down as they were halfway through the front yard and enveloped Mason immediately in a hug, holding him close and not saying anything as Mason buried his face in his chest.
Scott didn’t say anything as he ascended the stairs and made a beeline for Melissa, making himself as small as possible and almost disappearing in her embrace. “They took him, mom,” he said. “They took Liam.”
Theo just watched everyone from a distance; Nolan and the Coach were still around, hovering in the back as he was. Nolan had a look of guilt on his face and he leaned back to rest his back against the wall, obviously wondering whether he could have or should have done more. The Coach, like Stiles, was for once completely silent. Isaac was flanking Melissa from behind, almost standing guard behind her and Scott, keeping a watchful eye on the surrounding and any potential enemies that might suddenly appear.
And Theo… Theo did nothing. He said nothing. He approached no one and kept himself at a distance, out of notice. It occurred to him in that moment just how out of place he really was, how unworthy he was to even be there. He didn’t deserve to be among them. He didn’t deserve to be in the pack. He’d done absolutely nothing of use and brought nothing to the table besides handing Liam over to the enemy on a silver platter. It was him, and he was going to do anything and everything he had to do with get him back, even if it would cost him his life.
He heard Scott’s voice calling his name and realized that he was standing alone at the bottom of the stairs. Everyone, including Mason and Corey had reentered the house and it was just Scott left standing at the top, holding the door open, waiting for him.
“Come on, Theo,” he said, his voice steady though his eyes were rimmed red and damp.
“I’m sorry, Scott,” Theo said, his voice sounding weird to his own ears, almost like it belonged to someone else. “I drove him back there. I delivered him straight into their clutches. I’m sorry. This is all my fault. I don’t deserve to be here.”
He heard Scott closing the door after he averted his eyes to look at the ground in shame, and sensed Scott’s approach down the stairs before he came to a stop just a foot away. He felt a warm hand on his shoulder but didn’t dare look up, only listening closely when Scott started to speak.
“It’s not your fault, Theo,” he said. “It’s mine. They were after me. They came after the people closest to me. All this falls on me because Liam is my beta, this is my pack and I should have protected them better. Monroe had obviously been planning this for months, and the fact that Liam was with you this entire time was probably the reason why she didn’t manage to get him sooner.”
Theo finally looked up at that. Scott’s eyes were hard and intense, but it was just the emotions raging inside him, none of it was directed at Theo himself.
“We should have protected him better,” Theo found himself saying. “This doesn’t fall completely on you, Scott.”
Scott actually smiled at that. “The only thing we can do now is to get our Liam back.”
Theo nodded and Scott patted him once more on the shoulder before turning to walk back into the house. “This time though… I’m going to kill her, and I won’t let anyone stand in my way,” he said when Scott was halfway up the stairs, causing him to still suddenly before turning around.
Scott just gazed at him silently for a moment. “No…” he said; his tone stern and his eyes almost flashing red for an instance. “This time… I’m going to kill her myself.”
Theo was struck by the intensity of his aura when he said the words, but eventually slowly made his way up the stairs following Scott back into the house.
He felt Isaac’s presence locking and bolting the doors behind him. They didn’t speak, only exchanging silent looks before they joined the rest of the pack in the living room.
Mason had filled the rest in on what they’d found in the woods and everyone was still leaning in close listening to his words. Lydia seemed to have come out of whatever trance she’d been in and was conversing with Scott by the window when he entered. They talked a while longer until Scott turned away, looking over to where Nolan was sitting with his head in his hands in the single seater sofa at the end of the coffee table.
“Nolan, is there anything you can tell us? Anything at all… what her plan is or where she’s hiding out at?” Scott asked.
Nolan just shook his head sadly. “She just… she just said that they were going ahead with the plan tonight and for me to keep my phone close because she might call with instructions.”
“You have your phone on your now?” Stiles asked, walking up to where Scott and Lydia were standing.
“Yeah, of course. I was afraid she’d suspect something if I didn’t pick up when she did,” he said.
“Good,” Scott said. “Keep it on hand, just in case.” Nolan nodded and immediately reached into his pocket to pull out his cellphone. “Did you manage to call Argent?” he continued, turned to Melissa immediately after.
“No. Cell lines are still dead,” Melissa said. “But I sent some texts on the off chance that a few of them would be able to slip through.”
Scott nodded at that and turned to Mason and Corey, asking them how they knew to come, and they told him the same thing they’d told Theo earlier that night which earned Theo an unreadable look from Scott but he didn’t pursue the subject.
“Coach,” Scott called out finally, addressing the man standing uncharacteristically silent with his arms crossed by the door. “I think you should go. It’s not safe being around us right now, especially with everything that’s happened and everything else that probably going to happen,” he said. “You’re not involved in any of this. Same with you, Nolan.”
The coach pursed his lips, seemingly unimpressed by the words but his eyes showed pride at Scott’s show of leadership in that moment. “Well, tough, McCall. I’m already involved in this whether you or I like it or not. Besides, they have my team captain and best player and absolutely no one is standing between me and the championship this year. Not werepoodles or kanimals or wendangos—nothing! You hear me?”
Stiles was biting his knuckles by the time Coach finished his speech but everyone else besides Isaac (who was outright laughing) were trying to pass off their reluctant chuckle as a bout of coughing.
“S-Same with me,” Nolan said, hesitantly getting to his feet. “It won’t ever make up for what I did, or what Gabe did, but… but I want to at least try. Especially for what we did to Liam.”
Scott sighed but he didn’t look unimpressed by their drive. Instead he tore his eyes away from Nolan and Coach to address the rest of the group. He only got as far as “Guys—” before Stiles immediately held a hand up, stepping forward.
“Don’t even say what I know you’re going to say, Scott, I swear to god I will punch you in the face. I swear. It’s going to hurt like a son of a bitch and I’m going to regret doing it immediately after, but I will do it. So just… save it, okay. We’re not all True Alphas here but we’re not completely useless either—except maybe Isaac, he’s like the most useless werewolf ever.” Stiles added the last bit with a casual motion.
“Ay, screw you, Stiles. Zombies, okay? There were fucking zombies!” said Isaac.
“Guys!” interrupted Scott, attracting all the attention to him. He looked around at everyone in the room, his eyes lingering on Theo for slightly longer and Theo acknowledged it with a small nod. “Just… let’s go get Liam.”
The agreeing cheer was instantaneous with everyone who was sitting getting to their feet and everyone else who was standing separate from the group, including Theo, stepping forward to make a tight knit circle around the coffee table.
Theo looked around at every single face before finally coming to rest on Scott’s, and the pride exuding off his being was palpable. He still radiated fear and apprehension over Liam, but it was obvious that in his heart he knew that with the support of everyone in that small little dysfunctional group, there was nothing he wouldn’t be able to conquer.
Theo felt proud to be included in that group.
“This time,” Scott said, his words addressing the group but his eyes focused completely on Melissa, “This time, anyone who gets in my way… anyone who tries to hurt any of you… this time, they’re going to die, all of them. Otherwise they’ll just keep coming,” he said. “And Monroe will be the first.”
Scott’s eyes didn’t blink once as he continued staring at Melissa, as if making a promise and seeking her approval all in just one look. Melissa in return didn’t glance away. She kept his steady gaze and when he finally finished, a small, sad yet proud smile curled at her lips. “You all do what you need to do,” she said, “Whatever you need to do. Just get our boy back.”
It was as if the planets aligned perfectly in that moment, when Scott and Melissa finished speaking, that the phone in Nolan’s hand all of a sudden started buzzing.
The name that came up on the screen was ‘private’ but everyone knew instinctively who it was. There was only one person who would be able to make a phone call at that time.
“Monroe?” Nolan said as he brought the phone up to his ear and clicked ‘accept’. He swallowed once nervously, his eyes finding Scott as if seeking the comfort and assurance of having him there and Scott nodded back his silent support. “What’s going on? I tried calling you but the phones weren’t working…uh—me?” he trailed off as Monroe obviously continue talking on the other end. “I’m…uh, with Coach—we were going over the game plan for this season’s matches and we lost track of time cause we started later cause uh—cause we were waiting on Liam who didn’t show.”
Theo’s heart skipped a beat at the mention and Nolan was beginning to sweat bullets but he managed to keep his voice steady. Scott looked apprehensive but he nodded at Nolan when he finished, mouthing a supporting ‘good’, which seemed to boost Nolan’s confidence as he continued listening to what Monroe was saying.
“Well, you told me to keep an eye on Liam and Scott, and that’s what I was doing, and the way in with Liam was through lacrosse so…” he trailed off when the sound Monroe’s voice rose so loud it could almost be heard by the rest of the people in the room. “I understand… sorry.”
For the rest of the call Nolan remained absolutely silent, only humming his acknowledgement of whatever instruction Monroe was doling out and the occasional ‘yes, ma’ams’. His eyes remained locked onto Scott’s, barely even blinking and Scott in return made a show of his support and his approval any chance he got.
Eventually the call seemed to be winding-down with the increase of Nolan’s verbal agreements and the way his eyes were slowly becoming more hardened and more determined, as if Scott was somehow channeling his strength into Nolan.
There was no goodbye at the end of the call; only the sound of the line beeping at the other end and going silent, before Nolan finally removed the receiver from his ear, dropping his arm to hang at his side.
“She wants to meet. She’s sending someone to pick me up tomorrow at the junction off of the one-fifteen just off the highway outside of town. She says it’s time she brought me in on the whole plan,” he explained to the room.
“Did she mention Liam at all? Does she have him?” Scott asked his tone urgent.
“She didn’t say but… but she definitely has him,” he said. “There was something in her tone when I told her Liam didn’t show up—I know she has him.”
“That bitch,” Stiles said.
“Well, you can’t go alone,” Melissa said. “We can’t send him in there by himself. What if they figure out he’s with us? What if they already know?” The last part was directed to Scott.
Scott just sighed, running his fingers through his hair. He looked around at all the faces around him. “We can’t send any one of us. Monroe knows what we all look like.”
“What about me?” Isaac asked, drawing attention to himself. “She doesn’t know who I am.”
“She’ll know you’re a werewolf,” Scott said. “And knowing her—knowing the way Gerard taught her, she’ll definitely have anti-werewolf protection around her safe house. You probably wouldn’t even get past the front gate.”
“Me?” Asked Mason, raising his hand. “Liam’s my best friend and—”
“And Monroe knows that,” said Scott. “All of us in this room… we’re all out of the question. Monroe knows who we are; she knows what we look like. She’s doing this to draw us out, to draw me out because she wants revenge. Me, Malia, Lydia, Theo, Corey, and Isaac… we all absolutely can’t go, and all our human allies… she already knows them all.”
“Not all of them,” said a voice, interrupting Scott and drawing everyone’s attention to himself.
Coach Finstock stood inconspicuously apart from the group, slightly off to the side and away from the spotlight. His trademark cynicism and hate for the general population uncharacteristically reined in, but he stood straight, his shoulders square and his chest puffed out.
“Coach?” muttered Scott confusedly.
“I’ll go,” he said. “I’ll go with Nolan. Can’t have that psycho bitch grabbing both my team captains; I’ll have to assume she’s been rooting for the opposing teams the entire time and I will not stand for that bullshit.” The coach was trying to play off everything as cool but Theo could smell his concern from all the way across the table.
“It’s too dangerous, Coach,” said Scott just as Stiles chimed in. “We don’t even know that she doesn’t know that you’re our ally. This isn’t the time to be playing Supercoach.”
“Okay, for starters, Stilinski, I’ve always been Supercoach—no one else with even a shred of common sense would let you within a hundred feet of a lacrosse field—”
“That doesn’t even have anything to do with anything!” said Stiles, flabbergasted.
“Secondly; I took an arrow to the gut, McCall, and it hurt like an ass! I think I can deal with whatever that woman doles out.”
“She’s armed to the teeth with a shit load of automatic rifles and no doubt an army of highly trained mercenaries,” said Stiles. “Getting shot a billion times would probably hurt a tad more than one teeny arrow.”
“Don’t listen to the worst player on the team,” said Isaac, butting in, addressing the coach with a grin. “You’ll definitely kick ass, Coach, and if you get in trouble, just ask yourself: What would Captain Steve Hiller do?”
What Isaac said seemed to wipe all the fear clean from the Coach’s expression as he gazed off thoughtfully into the distance.
“Great,” said Stiles, throwing his hands up. “Very helpful, Isaac. What are you trying to do? Get him killed?”
“I’m trying to ease his anxiety,” said Isaac, his tone sharp, “So that he won’t be a vibrating bundle of nerves going into it. Or do you have a secret list of other human allies willing to help folded in your pocket, Stiles? You’re right, we can definitely someone else—oh yeah, that’s right, there is no one else.”
“Guys—guys!” Bellowed Scott, getting between Stiles and Isaac when it seemed like the conversation was taking a more heated turn. “Now’s not the time to get into it.” When Isaac turned back with a huff and Stiles walked over to where Malia and Lydia were standing to cool off, Scott turned back to the coach. “Are you sure about this, Coach? It’s going to be dangerous. Monroe is… well, she’s crazy.”
For the first time, Coach’s expression and his body language exuded completely seriousness. “I’m sure,” he said. “Just… if I die, don’t leave it to Greenberg to coach the team. He’ll murder my reputation deader than my decaying body.”
Scott chuckled at that, though the air around him was somber. “I promise coach.”
“What about the Sheriff or Argent?” Asked Mason.
“Chris is off checking some of the leads Nolan gave us. I… I’m not sure when he’ll be back. I haven’t contacted him in days,” said Melissa.
“And my dad’s at the station,” said Stiles. “Parrish is out of town with Scott’s dad and with a lot of the deputy’s being put on leave or having been let go completely because of their part in the attack, he’s been stuck trying dealing with a bulk of the paperwork himself. And uh… I don’t really want to bring him into this if we don’t have to.”
“I agree,” said Scott. “Lydia, are you getting anything? Feeling anything that’ll help.”
“No,” said Lydia. “It’s not something I can turn on and off. Just… we just need to hurry. There’s something brewing in the air, and it feels so, so wrong.”
“Do we even have a plan of attack?” asked Malia. “Having a bunch of guns—or a couple of Berserkers—really wouldn’t hurt right about now.”
“Speaking of berserkers,” said Stiles. “Peter?”
“As if that useless jackass would help us if it isn’t to his benefit,” said Malia with an eye roll.
“He’d help you, probably,” said Stiles. “After your heartwarming father-daughter bonding moment—”
“Stiles?”
“Yeah?”
“Shut up,” said Malia with finality.
“Right. Shutting up.”
Theo glanced around the room once more, watching everyone continue conversing, debating their plan of attack or just throwing ideas back and forth. He felt a warm hand gripping his shoulder and glances over to see that Scott had walked over to his side and was addressing him thoughtfully with just his eyes.
“What do you think?” he asked, as if he genuinely wanted to know Theo’s opinion.
“I think we have to get Liam now, otherwise…” he trailed off. “We need a plan or a—wait, what road did Nolan say Monroe was picking him up at?”
“Off the one-fifteen. Why?”
Theo wracked his brain trying to remember what he could about the layout of that area. He knew he’d heard or seen that road somewhere and it stood out enough for him to remember. “There’s an abandoned plant about ten klicks up the dirt road,” he said, his eyes gazing at a spot in the distance as his mind combed through the multitude of information he’d been forced to study and retain for the Dread Doctors. Among them was a list of abandoned lairs that would have served as their laboratory. Ultimately they decided on the spot in the sewer that connected to all the main entry points in the city buildings; but the plant on the outskirts had been a potential candidate as well. Theo remembered because he was the one who’d gone to scope it out.
He explained it all to Scott in detail. Slowly, one by one, all the focus had turned to him and to the conversation between him and Scott until he ended his words with, “—and there’s a closed underground sewer system that leads directly into the plant.”
The room was silent for a moment as everyone seemed to digest what he’d said, until finally Scott smiled, one of the wide ones that brightened his whole face as he reached over to clasp Theo on the shoulder.
“I think,” he started, looking out the assembled pack, “I think we have the start of a plan.”

Lunch finally made its way to being a part of the day, sighing in relief at the sound of no more teachers and for her to find a quiet place for her to eat and smoke in peace. But, then suddenly she gets a text on her phone from an unknown person.
Reading the text, she sighed in anger as she just remembered that she had told those two boys that she would sit with them, ‘curse my will to be nice to people.’ She said in her head as she made her anger and frustration go away as she grabbed the rest of her snacks and headed to the cafeteria.
On the text had directions to where to go when she had already gotten her food to eat, walking in she could spot the two boys quickly as they were the only two sitting at the middle table in the cafeteria.
She went to go get her food and head over to them and eat her food quickly and kindly tell them that she had to use the bathroom as her way to escape the table and the two boys at the table.
They spotted her as she had turned around with some more food in her hand as they waved her over with their hands. Since it was a roundtable she sat somewhat in the middle of them both. “Hey.” She said to them as she adjusted in her chair a little bit.
“Hey.” They both said at the same time with a smile on their face as they saw her again, “Wow, for a girl you eat a lot.” Stiles said noticing all the food around just this one girl. “What? You're meaning to tell me that you haven’t seen a girl eat this much?” she asked him with a shock expression.
“Out here most of the girls have a thing about being pretty and not being them, they cray wild girls that you would see at a party… here they are mean and snarky and always wanting to prove something.” Stiles said.
“I’m pretty sure not all the girls here are like that.” (y/n) says as she begins to eat her food and snacks in front of her as she hands over two different sour patches to the boys… which made them smile as they accepted the offer.
“I love how open-minded you are,” Scott said with a smile as he took one strip of the sour candy and placed in his mouth with a smile.
Then suddenly the table started to fill up with faces (y/n) hasn’t seen before, but she did recognize two faces. Which were the boy and girl that she had parked next to this morning, assuming that they were dating because of how close the redhead was sitting next to the guy with the dumb car?
“Who is this newcomer sitting at the table?” a girl with dark brown hair asked with a smile as she sat down next to Scott at the table.
“That there, is (y/n),” Stiles answered as he was eating his candy that (y/n) had given him. “Well, nice to meet you (y/n), I’m Allison.” She said with a smile.
“Nice to meet you too.” I said as I returned her back with a smile…” Well, since Scott isn’t going to introduce you to the rest of us then I will.” The redhead said as she looked at (y/n).
“I’m Lydia, and this is my boyfriend Jackson. On the right of you is Isaac, Liam, Mason, Hayden, Corey, and Erica I have a feeling that you already know Stiles.” She said with a flip of her hair. (y/n) smiled and waved at the group as they did the same.
“And on the left side of you is Kira and Malia.” She finished as (y/n) waved at them and smiled as well.
“Nice to meet all of you.” She said with a smile as they all said the same back to her. “Wow, you have a lot of food.” The Kira girl said as she looked at all the food that (y/n) had on the table.
“I have a long hunger span out to a decade.” She said sounding a little bit sarcastic, “I have a feeling you are being sarcastic.” Stiles said with a smile on his face.
“Just a little bit.” She said with a smile at him. “So, (y/n) where did you move from?” Isaac had asked with a slight smile.
“San Francisco.” She said as she finished the rest of her food that was on the table, and it was now time for her to make her move to escape the table and head to the so-called bathroom.
“I hear it's very beautiful down there, is it?” Malia asked (y/n).
“Considering I use to live in a house that was by the ocean and the golden gate bridge, I’ll say it is very beautiful… I’ll talk to you guys later.” She said as she was getting up and picking up all her trash to throw away.
“Wait, where are you going?” they asked as they watched her get up from her spot, “I want to look around the school more… see ya.” She said as she walked away and out of the door to the cafeteria.
(y/n) walked around the school until she had found a spot of the field far away from the school to sit and to be alone. She sat down on the grass as she inhaled all the fresh air into her lungs… there was only one period left until school got out.
And since she had a free period and her sixth period being it she decided to smoke it out, pulling out her blunt from her pocket with her trusty lighter and lit it. As the first wave of smoke entered her lungs she felt relaxed.
She laid flat on her back as she looked up at the sky which had these white puffy clouds in it, she tried to find that one cloud that looked like a unicorn dancing on a beach ball. She found that very funny every time she smoked and saw the unicorn.
But, she then remembered, she’s not in San Francisco anymore where you could see it perfectly with no problem. Taking a deep breath of air in as she had already finished her joint she got up and walked to her locker to take out the things she was going to take home with her.
Then she went to the bathroom to somewhat freshen up what she was doing outside a few minutes ago by brushing her teeth, hey it might sound weird knowing that some people brush their teeth at school but hey it’s a way of life.
Next, things she was out in the parking lot going to her car to sit in it and relax for a little bit more before he drives back home, it isn’t safe to drive home when you are tired. She cracked the window a little bit and closed her eyes.
She heard the bell ring and students begin to leave the campus but, she didn’t care. she put her headphones in and listened to some soft and soothing music as she slept in her car. (y/n) always gets tired after she smokes so it was completely natural to her.
Within a couple of minutes or an hour or so most of all the kids had left the school when (y/n) had opened her eyes then closing them again. She saw that all except a few cars and a couple of people that (y/n) had recognized, the people that she had met today.
They were all leaving the school heading to their cars, but then the red head had gotten suspicious about (y/n)’s car still being in the parking lot of the school. She looked at the car and then at her friends.
She walked over to the car and tapped on the window and then looking through it to see if she sees someone. But all she saw was a sleeping (Y/n) in the car with the window half down.
She tapped on the glass to try and wake her up but nothing happened she still was sound to sleep, she called out her name but soon gave up on that action when she saw that (y/n) had her headphones in.
The rest of the group walked over to Lydia to see her looking into some random car in the parking lot, “Lydia what are you doing?” Alison asked as she looked at her best friend who she thought was trying to break into somebody’s car.
Everybody looked at Lydia as they waited for an answer from her, “(y/n) is sleeping in her car and I'm just trying to wake her up but she’s not waking up.” She said to them as Scott and Stiles looked at her and then at each other.
“(y/n) is in there?” they said at the same time as they went her window and looked to see a sleepy (y/n) in her car. Scott tried knocking on the window load enough for her to hear but then he sees (y/n) has her headphones in so she wasn’t going to hear them.
“What are we going to do, she looks like she's burning up in there?” Liam asked as he tried to open the door but it was locked. Then suddenly Stiles came up with a good idea as he pulled out his phone to text her.
When he sent the message he can see that she had gotten it, but it wasn’t enough to wake her up so he tried calling her, and soon as he pressed the call button and her phone started to ring he knew this would get her up.
(y/n) woke up and rubbed her eyes as she picked up the phone and answered it “Hello.” She said to the person on the phone who answered back with a laugh which made the people around him laugh as well.
“Look out your window.” He told her as everyone watched her look up and see them laughing and having smiled on their faces. She smiles to and hangs up the phone as she got out and greeted them.
“Hello,” she said with a tired smile and rubbing her eyes again as she went to sit on the hood of her car. “Hello, yourself. Are you okay?” Scott asked as he looked at her.
“Yeah, why?” she asked as she looked at them with her blood shot eyes. “Because your eyes look like they’ve been crying,” Erica said.
“And you look like your high.” Lydia said as she looked at (y/n), “Wait, that’s a good question… are you high?” she asked her as (y/n) looked at her with her droopy red eyes with a smile on her face and shook her head no.
“Huh, well if you aren’t high you won’t mind me asking this question, would you?” Mason said as he looked at her.
“go ahead, what’s the question?” she said with the smile as she looked at him or at least tried to.
“Do you have a lighter?” He asked her and waited for her to give an answer. “Uh, yeah right here.” She said with a smile as she handed over the lighter to him with her right hand with a smile. Everyone looked at Mason confused at what he was doing until he asked the next question.
“Damn, I left my blunt at home… do you have any?” He asked her with a stern look on his face as (y/n) moved her hair from her right ear and pulled the blunt and handed it to him. Everyone was shocked to see a smart girl smoke drugs and at how Mason got her to give the drugs to him and that she even managed to smoke at school without being caught.
“(y/n) you're high.” Mason said as he looked at her with a straight face, “I’m not high.” She said with a smile as she began to rock from side to side.
“Oh, yeah. Then if you not high then what are you?” Alison asked.
“Fucking faded.” She said as she laughed it off then looked at the blunt that is in Mason's hand as she held both of her handmade grabby hands for the medicine that was in his hands. Mason shook his head and gave it back to her because he knows that they just met today and he didn’t want to start anything that would cause trouble.
Everyone looked at him with shocked expressions as he had handed her back the drugs, Scott didn’t like what he was seeing as he then steps to the plate to try and take it from her but only for Mason to hold him back and shake his head.
“How, are you getting home (y/n)?” he asked as he looked at her.
All she did was look at him and smile as she waved her hand towards him and said, “Don’t worry about it.” She then got back into her car and started it back up. Scott and Stiles looked at each other with questioning looks as they then looked back at her.
They had never seen someone that they knew smoke before, well they technically don’t know her. Because obviously they just met her today. And they all knew that it wasn’t their place to speak on what she was doing to herself.
Track: Aftertheparty – Embargo
She turned the music up in her car as she began to bag out of the parking lot and drive home, they were really worried about her driving high and still sleepy. So far, they can only hope that she made it home safely without harming herself or others.
~2 Years later~
(Y/n) was already officially into the pack during her freshman year, what she didn’t know was what the pack was going through and all the things they were hiding from her. But, within those two years (y/n) drug addiction has gotten worse.
Not only is she smoking and dealing weed, she’s taking heroin and cocaine, and choking up with needles which lead her to an almost overdose last summer. This year she is a junior with the people she met her freshman year by her side…well the only reason they are by her side is that they want to help her.
But, (y/n) doesn’t want that. She even had a feeling that they were hiding something from her. Like most of the time when she asks them to hang out, they would usually reply with an ‘I’m so sorry (y/n) but I’m busy at the moment. Maybe next time.’ Or ‘kind of busy (y/n)’ or ‘not today.’
And (y/n) was so sick of it, she thought that they didn’t want to hang out with her because she smokes and does other bad things to her body, so she stopped talking to them and made some new friends last year so she could hang out with them this year.
Their names are Theo, Ethen, Aiden, Hayden, Corey, Tracy and Josh. (y/n) doesn’t really like Hayden so much, because she feels that she is shady and two faced and that her big forehead can do some damage into summoning a demon from hell to kill everyone and that it’s not helping her hairline.
Other than her, everyone else is cool…When she first walked into the school Theo was the first person that she saw, He was new to the school so being his first friend there was cool.  (y/n) walked up to him with a smile on her face that said a million words but some she could only understand.
“Hey, Theo.” She said to him with a wave of her right hand.
“What’s up (y/n).” He said to her as he then pulled her in for a hug.
“Nothing much, I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out today after school?” She asked him as she played with her fingers.
“Wait, hold on… Is (y/n) (l/n) asking me out on a date?” He said with an amused look on his face. After he said that (y/n) went quiet and had grown a slight light bright red tent across her face as she looked everywhere but into to his beautiful eyes that are looking at her.
He let out a low chuckle, that had caught the pack’s attention as they all walked into the school together.
“All I’m saying is that Theo is a sketchy person and he can’t be trusted,” Stiles said to his friends.
When Scott heard Theo’s chuckle he looked over to him and saw Theo talking to (y/n), Lydia happens to catch onto what he was looking at and look over to and saw the same thing that made her stand there in shock.
“So, if he is so much of a bad person… then why is (y/n) talking to him right now.” Lydia stated that made Stiles look disgusted. everybody in The Pack looked over towards Theo’s locker and sees him flirting with (y/n).
Them seeing this made them angry well, just Stiles it made Lydia and Malian Jealous for whatever reason don’t know why. Scott was still trying to figure out if he could trust Theo or not so he wasn’t complaining.
“See Stiles, if (y/n) can trust him then so could we,” Scott says as he puts his arm over Kira’s shoulder and walked off somewhere else, Liam grabbing Hayden and walking off as well along with Corey, Mason, Malia, Isaac, Allison, Jackson, and Erica.
Tumblr media
Stiles looked at his friends one more time then back at (y/n) again, He could see Theo making her laugh and smile. Stiles hated it, he wanted to be the one to make her do those things for him and only him… but there was one thing, He has a girlfriend and her name was Lydia.
Jackson and Lydia broke up the second year of high school because of something about her messing up everything and stiles just happened to be there for her and bam their dating and Jackson started dating Erica.
The girl he wanted for almost a decade now was finally his and now all he’s doing is messing it up on a girl that is his or is she. The Pack hasn’t even been spending time with her lately so there could be a negative effect to this problem later.
“I want to hear you say it,” Theo says to (y/n) with a smile as he looked down at her with loving eyes.
“Say what.” (y/n) asked as she looked down to the ground then back at him with the red tent still across her face and her shy soft eyes now showing.
“That you want me to go on a date with you.” He said to her.
“Theo, I don’t recall it being a date.” She says with a low giggle.
“But, I think it is… I mean there is no one going with us. So, we're going to be alone and have the night to our self’s, and that’s not a date to you?” He asked her. (y/n) thinks for a minute but sighs in defeat as she looked up at him with a smile that told him that he got it right.
“Theo, would you like to go on a date with me?” She asked while using those puppy dog eyes she used on him one time in the summer.
“Yes (y/n), I would love to.” He said as he leaned in and kissed her cheek and walked off leaving a stunned (y/n) there in the hallways with a happy smile on her face as she turned around and watched him walk off.
Even when the Pack was far away from the conversation Scott was still listening to it, Scott was like a big brother to (y/n) and she was like a little sister to him, (y/n) told him first before everybody found out on their own that she was seeing some new people.
And that only made him happier that she was making new friends that didn’t have supernatural powers like him and the rest of the pack members do. But, now that his seeing who’s she’s talking to and hanging with she is fully open and vulnerable to the supernatural life.
Someone might want to take her in and make her one of them and Scott was not going to let that happen, so now he has to keep an eye on his friend and make sure nothing bad happens to her.
~End of the day~
(y/n) was alone at her locker putting the things that she was going to take home into to it, she was moving rather slow today because she just couldn’t get Theo out of her head. The first time she met him she couldn’t find herself to stop staring at him.
When he saw her staring he waved at her which made her jump back into concussions and look away, and that only made Theo feel more interested in her as he wanted to get to know each other. And that was the day that he made a move and talked to her and now here they are going on their first date together.
(y/n) wanted to show him this cool lake in the woods that she knew about because of the internet, at night time the moon shines on the lake which makes it sparkle and shine in the dark and makes the water a transparent bright blue color and it perfect and beautiful.
As she was in her deep thought she didn’t hear her old friends behind her, the ones that completely forgot about her existence and never hung out with her. (y/n) heard her name being called behind her as she then turned around and saw the pack there looking at her.
“What up.” She says in an uninviting way to them, she does that to all people who forgets about her and then suddenly wants to talk to her.
“We saw you with Theo, care to tell us what’s going on?” Lydia asked as she crossed her arms over her chest.
“And why would I do that?” (y/n) asked as she then closed her locker and put her backpack on her back to stare at the people that she once called her friends. They all looked at (Y/n) in shock at what she just said, they had never heard her say something like that.
“Because we are friends, a pack, family if I might add we tell each other everything,” Stiles said as he looked at him with an annoyed look.
“Well then you’re talking to the wrong person, the people you want to get your information from are the ones that are around me right now, me not included.” (y/n) said as she was about to walk away Scott stopped her by getting in her way and putting his hand up. (y/n) sighs and rolls her eyes as she goes back into her spot in front of her locker.
“(y/n) what’s gotten into you,” Scott asked her with a sad and shocked expression.
“Nothing, nothing at all.” She says as she finally made her escape from her so-called friends and headed for the front door where she left and went home ready for her date.
~Later that night~
(y/n) had texted Theo for him to bring a swimsuit to wear up under his clothes and to come to her house at 8 o’clock since her house was closer to the lake that it wouldn’t be that long of a walk.
(y/n) looked in the mirror and saw what she was wearing, she thought that it didn’t look that bad so she headed downstairs, and when she stepped on that bottom step there was a knock on the door.
She ran toward the door and opened it to see Theo standing there with a smile. He could tell that she was in love with him by the way she looks at him.
“Hey.” She said softly as there was a little shine of light in her eyes that made them sparkle, he chuckled at her cuteness.
“Hey.” He said back and stepped into the house giving her a peck on the check.
She closed and locked the door behind him as he looked around the house, she took in a deep breath and let it out quickly.
“Nice house.” He said with a smile as he picked up a picture of (y/n) when she was five with ice cream all over her face. He then looked back at her and wave the picture above his head so she could see it. “and nice picture, love.” He said with a smile and a light laugh.
“Oh, shut up.” She said as she rolled her eyes and went to go get towels for the two of them. Theo kept looking around the house at all the pictures of her and her family on the wall. He can see that she the only child in the family so he knows that her parents look after like a hawk.
“You ready to go.” She said as she threw him a towel, he catches the towel and smiles.
“What pool are we going to?” He asked her.
“No, no not pool, it’s a lake.” She said with a smile as she grabbed his hand and lead him out to the backyard where her large pool was which had him confused.
“You call your pool a lake?” He asked her with confusion on his face.
“No, silly there’s a real lake here.” She said as she locked her back door and grabbed his hand and lead him into the woods.
“Why do you want to go to a lake when you have a huge pool back at your house?” He asked as he held her hand with a firm grip.
“Because my pool isn’t beautiful.” She said to him as he looked at him with a smile and pulled him to where they were going.
Within a few minutes they were there at the lake, she looked at Theo’s eyes as the lit up at the sight of the lake that he hasn’t seen before ever in his life.
“Wow.” Was the only thing he could say right at the moment because he was so stunned. “This is amazing.” He said as he looked at her with happy lustful eyes.
“I knew you would like it, but you have to promise me you won’t tell anybody about it… so far I know that nobody here in Beacon Hills even remembers this lake and I don’t want them too. So, that why I remove the landmark from the websites that it was on and now nobody will know but you and me.” She says with a smile.
He looked at her and towards the lake when Theo first got here. His plan was to destroy the pack and to make this town his, he never wanted to make any friends or meet this wonderful girl who trusts him enough to show me something so magical and beautiful. At this moment, he knew that he couldn’t hurt her and that he couldn’t destroy her but he can put more bad things about the pack into her head and make her his.
He turned around and saw (y/n) undressing from the clothes she was wearing to get to the lake, when she was finished she was in this beautiful bathing suit that showed off her curves in every way. Then the next thing he knew she had jumped into the lake that shined a beautiful transparent bright blue color and that sparkled in the night every time the moon touches it.
She then came up for air and looked up at Theo as he stared her and watched as the beautiful moon and bright color in the water made her shine way more than the lake did.
“Are you coming in or what?” she asked him as she looked at him with a smile, he smirked at her and took off his clothes as well as he then jumped into the lake as well.
She laughed and shook her head as she waited for him to come back up, and when he didn’t she got worried
. “Theo.” She said quietly as she looked around for him. “Theo.” She said a little bit louder.
Then the next thing she knew she was being lifted on his shoulders out of the water, she looked down and saw Theo's wet hair. She screamed and laughed at him as he had her on his shoulders.
“Theo put me down.” She said while laughing.
“Not until you say the magic word.” He said as he spun her around on his shoulders in the lake making her laugh out a little louder.
After hours of playing in the lake they both got out and sat down on a rock to rest, they both laid down on their backs as they looked at the stars, Theo knew she wouldn’t like it if he had held secrets from her and maybe that’s why she been very distant from the pack lately.
Theo sat up and looked at the beautiful girl next to him, she looked at him and smiled as she sat up as well and looked at him in his beautiful blue eyes.
“(y/n) I don’t want to lie to you…so I’m not but, before this relationship gets too deep I just wanted to tell you that.” He started
“What is it?” she asked him as she places one of her hands over his.
“I’m…I’m a werewolf.”

Why did you do it? Part 2 Teen wolf imagine
part 1
part 3
Y/n pov
It was two in the morning, I was working on my English paper that is due tomorrow afternoon. I had almost everything completed I was just missing a paragraph but my mind wasn’t here. I blankly stared out the window. I was glad that beacon hills let me transfer all my credits to my school. Senior year is stressful as heck. My mind went straight to the pack and was wondering if they were okay. Scott mentioned that there was a new enemy in beacon hills and they had been pretty busy keeping everybody safe. The guys helped me through the break up. They would come over and visit randomly making sure I was okay. I spent a year here in a small town call Holister glad to be away from all the supernatural and mysteries hidden within beacon hills yet I still missed it, I missed them, but most of all I missed him the guy who broke my heart into pieces. Knowing he was in love with someone else broke my heart, him saying they have a stronger connection made me wonder if he ever loved me at all. I would remember our dates and I love you’s, wondering if everything was just a big lie. I was bought out of my thoughts when Scott’s ringtone started playing which was Kaleidoscope by blink-182. “ Hey Scott what’s up?” “ Oh good you’re awake “ he whispered “ Hey are you okay ? Why are you whispering? Are you in danger ?” “ Um how do I say this ? We are in trouble and we need you please. “ As those words came out his mouth I grabbed my backpack and started throwing some clothes in it. “ What do you mean you are in trouble Scott ? Is anybody hurt ?” “ Lydia and Parrish are somewhat hurt. I almost died and stiles was kid napped for a bit but we got him back but we can’t do this alone we need you. I need you. “ I dropped my backpack on the floor when I hear that Jordan was somewhat hurt but my heart skipped a beat when I heard Scott say he needs me. “ What do you mean he was somewhat hurt ? How did you almost die ? Scott who is after y'all? “ I said picking up the bag and making sure I had clothes and what I needed. “Dread doctors and it’s a lot to say over the phone y/n just get back here please “ he pleaded. I grabbed my weapon box from under my bed. “ I’ll be there soon I’m about to leave Scott. “ I said walking down the stairs. I put everything in the car “ I’ll see you soon and y/n please be careful. “ “ you too Scott “ he hung up. As I was driving to beacon hills I couldn’t help myself to have flashbacks to the time I spent with the pack.
Flashback
I just arrived to holister, it been a day or so I had rented an apartment. I was about to leave to go buy some furniture for the place. When I opened the door to go I was face to face with Scott. “What are you doing here ? How did you find me ?” “ Hii I missed you so I came to visit and make sure you were okay.” “ Awe Scott “ I said as I pulled him into a hug. He pulled me closer and tighten the hug. “ I’m sorry for what happened, you don’t deserved that. I know how that feels and I hate that you are going through it “ we pulled away he wiped a tear from my face which I didn’t know I had. “ It’ll get better I promise you don’t deserve him. He didn’t deserve you and he doesn’t deserve Lydia either. I don’t understand why he would cheat on someone as beautiful as you but he messed up big time “ he kissed my forehead “ thank you, Scott “ I said giving him a quick peck on his cheek “ where were you going ?” “ Oh to get stuff for my apartment “ “ do you mind if I join you ?” “ Not at all “ we spent the day buying crazy and weird things for the place. But I wouldn’t change it because that the day I actually had the time of my life with Scott.
End of flashback
I realized I was almost to beacon hills I decided to call Scott to know where they were at “ hello?” “ Hey where are you guys at? So I can know where to go once I get there “ “ uh we are in my house but make sure you turn off your headlights and be careful with your surroundings please “ “ yes sir I’ll see you in an hour or so “ “ okay be safe “ we hung up. I drove for that hour I pulled up to Scott’s house with my headlight off. I could see through the big window Lydia sitting on Jordan’s lap. Something in me broke I don’t understand why it still hurt me seeing the guy who broke my heart. I took a deep breath, next thing I know Scott was in my car with Liam and stiles. “Hey it’s going to be okay. He shouldn’t matter to you “ said Scott grabbing my hand. “ Yes he is a douche bag who shouldn’t be here “ said Liam giving me a smile I chuckled “ I can always beat him up with my bat I got you y/n “ stiles blurted out making all of us laugh like idiots. I swear I love these boys. Brett comes to my window, I rolled it down.” Yes can I help you ?” I questioned him. He just smiled at me and pulled me into a hug “ I missed you please don’t leave us. “ He mumbled into my neck “ I missed you too tallness “ I said tearing up a bit. The others came out running out the house and joined the hug making it a group hug” oh my god you are back” said Allison “where were you ?” Demanded Malia like she was my mother I chuckled a bit. “Why were you gone for so long ?” Questioned Kira “ I’ll explain everything later now what’s this I’m hearing about this new villain in town?” I said I noticed Lydia and Jordan just eyed me from afar I just simply waved at them trying to be civil. They both just waved back not knowing what to do. The guys brought in my stuff while the girls dragged me in “ you look so different y/n “exclaimed Theo standing by the wall eyeing me up and down” you are still here after everything you did ? “ I scoffed “ he is one of us y/n he’s a good guy now “whispered Scott in my ear “ I still don’t like him “ I huffed at him. He smirked at me raising his eyebrow at me making me laugh “ good to see you y/n “ said the voice I thought I’ll never hear ever in my life again. I felt like my soul left my body. I turned around I looked him in the eye another thing I never thought I would be doing. “ Good to see you too Jordan and you too Lydia “ I said giving them a fake smile. “ Can we talk you know the three of us we do have some unfinished business to deal with “ he said I saw Stiles Liam and Scott glare at him “ now isn’t the time to deal with your messed up love triangle and affair Parrish “ Stiles sassed him “ Stiles ..” said Lydia “ don’t get me started Lydia cause I swear I won’t stop” he said glaring at her “ how could you be mad at me for something I can’t control “ she exclaimed loudly “ oh don’t lecture me about something you can’t control trust me I know what that is like and no matter how much you try not to like someone who doesn’t even know you exist you still do. But you out of everybody in here do know what it is like to be heartbroken by a guy you loved. “ He said pointing to Jackson who was looking like he was enjoying this whole mess until stiles point at him. He looked down I’m guessing he regrets hurting Lydia like that. “ Stiles this isn’t the time or place for this conversation “ I chimed in trying to stop this whole mess. “ She’s right plus stilinski this is between us three.” Jordan mumbled “ oh no Parrish this isn’t between y'all three. This became about Scott Liam and I am help her become herself again cause you were a fucking idiot who couldn’t see what you had in front of you” stiles blurred out pissed. I looked at Scott for help. He nodded at me and then whistled loudly “ enough this pack isn’t about going against each other. We are a family no matter what happens we stay a family understood. Y/n is here to help I called her personally cause we need her here. Before any of you ask yes I did know where she was. Do I regret not telling the pack why she left and where she was no not at all because she needed to find herself. Any questions about what just happened will be answered later after we defeat the beast and dread doctors are we clear? “ He roared. Everybody nodded “ okay good now back to business. How to defeat the beast.” He said Derek walks in with Chris and Melissa. They just looked at me. “ Y/n/n you are back” Derek said pulling me into a tight hug “ how dare you not answer my calls I was worried sick “ he said I felt bad leaving him out of the loop but I knew how angry Derek gets when I get hurt by any form. “ I’m sorry we will talk later I promise “ he nodded Melissa came up to me “ you are one strong girl keep your head up “ she said giving me a kiss on my forehead and pulling me into a hug. I felt my eyes start to water. Chris walked up and just pulled into a hug “ it wasn’t the same without you. I’m glad you are back” he said wiping the tears away. “ Okay looks like everybody is here now to form a plan. “ Scott said smiling at the pack being back together. “ What are we going to do “ Isaac asked worried “Y/n the reason why I asked you to come here was because you and Allison are our only hope to beat this thing.” Scott said I looked at Allison “ why us ? “ We both said looking at each other than at Scott “ I can answer that.” Said Chris so we both turned to look at him.” Y/l/n and argents were great friends for generations. Your great great-grandparents were friends. Allison your great great-grandmother dated this guy who was the beast but she didn’t know. She had a feeling something was wrong so did your great great-grandmother y/n. So one day when the beast was killing they went after it try to kill him. They succeeded years later the dread doctors revived him but his spirit traveled around to where it took over bodies. Unfortunately mason is the victim this time but you guys are identical as your great great-grandmother. We just need you to kill the beast without killing mason as well. “ We nodded we went over the plan. I looked at Allison and I could tell she wasn’t satisfied with the plan to be honest I wasn’t either. The pack would be in danger with how the plan was going down. I grabbed my phone and texted her. M-wanna do our own thing and keep the pack safe ?
A-YES!!! This plan isn’t going to work. I’m glad you see it too. What are you thinking ?
I texted her what I was thinking and we both agree that when the time was right we would do this and save the pack even if it means that we die saving them. We all grabbed our weapons and headed out. We all split up in different cars. The original plan was to corner the beast and kill him off and then go after the dread doctors. So we were walking around looking for the beast in the forest. Allison, Liam and I were together. Scott was with stiles and Theo. Everybody else was just break into pairs trying to minimize all of us getting hurt at once. Liam saw the beast” hey guys he’s over there should we tell the others “ Allison looked at me “ no we got it just stand behind the tree”. We did what we had to do. After the beast was dead I gave Allison a hug. “ We did it “ she said out of breath I nodded cause this was a hard beast to kill. He was definitely stronger than we thought. We had Theo tell us where the dread doctor’s’ lair was. As we walked in I notice the lights are flickering I saw the dread doctors coming towards us “ guys Run “ I said they started running towards the exit. Allison and I looked at each other I took out a gun from my leg strap and started shooting she grabbed her bows and arrows starting to fire them away.” guys come on “ Scott said I saw they were already out “ I pressed the button “ what are you doing “ yelled Jackson “ saving your asses “ yelled Allison. I saw them coming closer. I grabbed Allison arm and pushed her out with the pack as the doors started to close. “Y/n what are you doing ? This isn’t the plan “ she mumbled I nodded and gave her a smile. “ The pack would never forgive me if I let you die dummy “ I said the doors were almost closed “ y/n noo you can make it out “” I’m willing to risk my life instead of yours “ Scott walked in but I pushed him out the doors closed shut I heard them banging on the door “ Guy leave go now I’ll be alright “ I said as I started shooting again. “ We’ll be back I swear “ I heard them run away. I smiled knowing my planned work they are out safe. The dread doctors came up to me I shot at them the plan was working perfectly. I acted like I fainted they carried me back to the lair. One of them lay me down the others left the room I open the gates of where everyone was in. I saw Corey and josh they smiled at me “ go now tell the pack I’ll be out soon I gotta take care of business “ they nodded and started running I got stabbed on my stomach with a knife I looked to see the dread doctors. I let out a scream. I started running I needed them to get where I wanted after a few feet they were there. I jumped on one of them and snap his neck. He died I turned around to see Allison snapping one of its neck, why is she here ? I thought she was with the pack ? I saw the dread doctor was about to stab her with a sword. “ Allison watch out “ I said pushing her out the way and got stabbed again. She went and snap his neck. I can hear Lydia scream my name. Scott came in running Allison had me in her arms as we both fell to the floor. “Why did you do that?” She asked as tears fell down her face. “ I couldn’t let you die we are a family Allison and also you are one of my best friends I couldn’t let you die like that. You deserve to have a happy life, grow old and have kids with the guy you love.” I choked out. “ No don’t you dare say goodbye y/n” she screamed. The pack all came in they were surrounding us. Scott came up to us and sat next to us. He took me from her arms. “ You are not dying tonight. Do you hear me. I’m not going to let the love of my life die saving our pack. Do you understand me ? I love you y/n l/n. You aren’t saying goodbye okay? You are going to live a happy life I don’t care how but we will make it happen okay. I’m not letting you die. “ He said grabbing my face and kissing me. I heard most of the pack cheer as it happened. “I don’t want to ruin this very sweet moment but can we get her to the hospital before oh I don’t know she dies” Isaac said sarcastically rolling his eyes. I felt Scott pick me and carry me to the car. I felt darkness take over me as I heard Scott say not to close my eyes. It’s too late….
A/n: I hope you guys enjoy 😊-K

Title: Safe and sound
Theo x reader
Scott had Theo on protection duty for Reader. Reader doesn't really like but she sucks it up.
{Theo may seem ooc but I only started season five and I kinda of don't really have a feel for Theo yet, but this came to mind while watching and yeah. Hope you like it.}
… … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … .
A few weeks had passed of Theo being at your side saying Scott had told him to protect you with the events going by. You knew Scott would do something like this, small tasks first just for Theo to build his trust with the pack. Stiles was a little upset by this but you had to remind him that it was Scott who put this together.
"Theo! Personal space!" You whined as you pushed him back a bit and he smiled as he lifted himself off you "and really? Tackle me because a-" you looked at the book on the ground that had fallen from the shelf "A book! A little bonk on the head never hurt anyone!" You told him as he pulled you up with him "Scott said not a scratch" Theo reminded you and you rolled your eyes.
You decided to play a trick on him. You went towards a table on the top floor and took a seat with him following behind you. You pulled your books out and groaned. Theo sitting up straighter. "What?" Theo asked checking you out for any paper cuts "I forgot my chem text in my locker" you told him as you stood "Well I'll come with you" he stood too and you turned with an annoyed look on your face. "My locker is literally around the corner, I think I'll survive by myself" you turned on your heel.
"I can't leave you alone" Theo snapped and you slammed your hands on the table "Theo! I've seen you everyday! At the start and at the end, I want to do this one thing on my own!" You hissed and he slowly nodded his head "Fine!" He growled and you smiled. You packed your things up but left the copy of the dread book and a highlighter along with a pencil. You fixed your bag on your back and turned on your heel. You walked quickly out of the library and walked towards your locker. You opened it up and put your bag inside when you heard heavy boots hitting the floor. You turned to see the boy from math class that went missing.
"Matty?" You called as you closed your locker but he just stood there looking at the bulletin board.
"Matty?" You called again as you took a few steps towards him "are you okay?" You asked once you were a few feet from him. He turned to look at you, his eyes were reptilian like and you cursed under your breath.
"Now you see me?" He asked angrily "Now you see me!" He roared and you quickly turned running but something wrapped around your leg and pulled causing you to fall "I've been trying for years for you too see me! I even cut my hair like Isaacs!" You whined as he punctured you with his tail and you slowly brought your hands to chest giving a small push before you lost movement.
"I did everything the way he did! And you still didn't notice me!" He growled as he brought his clawed hand to your face "I-I'm sorry!" You whispered but he shook his head "Too late!" He snapped raising his hand and you closed your eyes.
However, his weight disappeared and there was a loud growl. You frowned. You could hear the fight breaking out and you kept your eyes closed as you listened to Theo let out a grunt of pain and then a sound of something breaking. It was eerie quiet. "You didn't kill him, did you?" You asked in a shaky breath "No, just knocked him out and broke his arm" Theo informed you.
"You can't kill him, Scott doesn't like killing people" You told him and you heard him groan "He tried to kill you" Theo snapped and you rolled your eyes "He's a victim!" You yelled back and then it happened. A dread doctor was standing over you. You screamed at the top of your lungs at how horrifying it looked. It left you alone though, as Theo kept telling them not to kill Matty but of course the dread doctor wouldn't listen and Matty was dead. You could hear the nasty gurgling of Matty dying and you wished you had movement so you could cover your ears. You seen a few people die but hearing his whimpers and gurgling made it worse.
"Theo! What's happening?" You asked since everything went silent "Theo?" You called again thinking they might have taken him or killed him "Theo?" You panicky called again but still nothing. You closed your eyes as you felt tears well up and you felt yourself being picked up "Hey, hey!" You started but when you opened your eyes you saw Theo.
"Oh my god! Next time say something! I thought they killed you!" Your head fell back so you were seeing the hall way upside down until he fixed you so your head was propped against his shoulder and neck "They only came for him" He told you and you rolled eyes "Still, I thought they killed you" You hissed and he sighed "What're going to tell Scott?" He asked under his breath and if you could shrugged your shoulders you would've. Instead you left the question unanswered.
… … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … .
After Theo put in his truck, he went and grabbed your things and drove you home. You were still paralyzed from the neck down which was highly uncomfortable. When you felt the truck come to a stop you were able to only wiggle your toes and fingers.
"The back door, use the back door" you told him as he carried you "Why?" He asked "Cause it opens up to the stairs and my dad is always watching tv in the living room" you explained as if he should have known by now "Okay, where's your keys?" He asked as he placed you down against the house.
"In my left pocket" you told him and he raised a brow "Can you please just get me up, the ground is hard and cold" You snapped and he knelt down. You sucked in a breath as he reached into your pocket and pulled out the copper key. You felt your cheeks heat up when he met your gaze, you knew he could hear your heart beating a mile a minute. You closed your eyes so your didn't have to keep staring his blue eyes. You heard the door unlock and then you were hoisted up in his arms once again.
"Honey! Is that you?" You heard your dad call "Yeah! I'm just going to head to bed. I'm not very hungry" It wasn't a lie, after hearing what happened in the school hallway set you off "Are sure? There's a plate in the microwave" Your dad yelled "Yeah, I'm tired" You told him and that was that.
Theo carried you all the way to your room. He placed you on your bed and you were still looking at the ceiling when tears started rolling down the side of your face. You bit your lip to keep from crying out, but Theo knew. His head popped up in your line of sight and you closed your eyes. "I'm fine. Just don't like feeling helpless" You told him as he nodded his head.
Theo went to take your shoes off and then pulled your socks off and went to take your sweater off "No!" Your voice filled with panic as he brought his hands back "I was only trying to make you comfortable" Theo stated and you shook your head "I know, it's just..." you trailed off as you opened your eyes "I don't have a shirt on underneath and I'd rather you not see me half naked" You told him and he chuckled.
"I don't mind" he whispered and you rolled your eyes "If I could slap you, I would" You chuckled softly as he took a seat on your bed "What do we tell Scott?" He asked and you started wiggling your hands about "I can move my hands!" You claimed with a proud smile
"That doesn't answer my question" Theo hissed and you sighed "That you did what he asked, you protected me" You raised a brow wishing you could look at him and see his expression. You hadn't had to deal with something like this since Jackson, which felt like a life time ago.
Theo moved so he could look at you and you smiled up at him. Theo raised his hand and you closed your eyes. Your heart racing as you felt his fingers brush the side of your face to wipe to tears that had fallen.
"He said not a scratch. And look at you" You glared at him and he smiled apologetically "But you saved me. That's all he'll care about" you told him and he shook his head. You could feel the movement in your arms coming back, so you figured you try your legs and they moved slightly. "I have movement!" You cheered as Theo groaned and stood up straight. You bit your lip as you slowly got up so you were on your elbows
"Look, I'm okay. We can tell him nothing if that's what you want" You raised a brow and he shook his head "Then we tell him the truth" you softly whispered and Theo nodded his head.
… … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … .
When you finally got movement back you decided to take a shower. Theo and you bid goodbye before you got in. Once you got out of the shower you had your pyjamas on and you walked out shaking your hair out and stopped short when you saw Theo sitting in your desk chair. Your brow furrowed as he stood from the chair. You threw your towel into the hamper as you walked past him and towards your bed.
"What're you still doing here?" You asked and he sadly smiled at you "I can smell your fear" he told you and you looked away from him "Well, it sounded pretty bad the way he died." You whispered and Theo walked over to you "and the dread doctors look terrifying" you added as you gazed back up at him. "They won't hurt you, I'll make sure of it" he whispered and you smiled as you looked away from him once again "C-can you stay with me tonight? Just for tonight, or is that weird of me for asking?" You kept your eyes glued to your hands and you felt his finger come to your chin and make you look at him.
"I'll stay" He told you and you nodded your head "There's a few blankets in the closet" you whispered and he went to get them "I'm sleeping on the floor?" He asked and you nodded "Yeah, if that's okay" you asked and he nodded his head "As long as you feel comfortable" he said and you smiled. You figured maybe Theo wasn't so bad after all.
"Who's Isaac? Matty, as you called him. Brought him up and how he kept trying to be him" You cursed under your breath as you turned on to your side "No one." You whispered as you closed your eyes tightly "Did he hurt you?" Theo asked with a hard tone "In a way, yes" You answered "but he's a ghost now. No one important" You added as you rolled on to your back. Theo sighed as he sat up and you looked down at him.
"I know, I'm not the best but you can tell me" he whispered and you shook your head "I'm over it and to prove it, come up here" You hissed and Theo got up and sat on the bed "You can sleep on the bed, hell you can even hold me" You laid back down and waited. You felt the bed dip and his arms came around your waist slowly and you felt your heart skip a beat "Don't think to much into this. I just don't want to sleep alone" You whispered in a shaky voice and Theo pressed his lips to the back of your head "I know, [Y/n]" He whispered and you closed your eyes "Thank you" You whispered and Theo tightened his arms around you.
You could trust Theo and you planned to never leave his side again. You didn't want to be attacked again. Also you didn't want to see the dread doctors ever again but you knew that would be impossible since you were apart of the pack and the pack protected everyone. Though you had Theo to make you feel safe and you could live with that.

Handcuffs & Hospital Elevators
Theo Raeken imagine
Tumblr media
Summary: With the return of Theo, you want nothing more than to send his ass back to hell. But along the way, something does not feel right, as if you’re forgetting something. But what?
A/N: Because, let’s face it, we all love Theo.
Prompts: “I don’t sugarcoat things, I’m not Willy Wonka.” - “You’re tolerable.” - “How’s that a good thing?”
Masterlist
“You did what?” You yelled at Scott.
“Okay, in my defense, it was Liam who brought him back.” He pleaded with you.
“Oh yeah, I already feel much better about that asshole being back.” You fumed. You started pacing your room. This could not be happening.
“He thought he was helping.” He reasoned.
“I swear, that boy is an idiot. He should leave all the thinking to Mason.” You stopped pacing and let out a sigh, looking up at Scott. “Okay, so we send him back, right?” You crossed your arms.
“Well, it’s not that simple.”
“Sure it is.” You furrowed your brows. Why wouldn’t he want to send that bastard back? “Just send him straight back to hell, where he belongs.”
“Y/N,” he started slowly, “he remembers Stiles.” He looked at you with hope in his eyes.
“How’s that a good thing?” You let one arm fall back beside you, while you put the other over your forehead. You couldn’t believe he was actually willing to keep him.
“He knows about the Wild Hunt too. It could help us. “
“Scott, it’s Theo. The words ‘good’ and ‘help’ don’t apply to that guy.”
“You think I don’t know that?” he sounded desperate. “But it’s our only option right now.”
You sighed again. “Fine, I’ll come along. Where did you leave that asshole?” You went to grab your sweater off your desk chair to go outside.
“Just to be safe, we thought it would be best to lock him up in jail.”
“Good.” You walked passed him, pulling your sweater over your head. “That’s where he belongs.”
You have no idea how you ended up being the one having to put handcuffs on Theo, but there you were. At least Liam and Hayden were there with you.
“Guess you didn’t think you’d ever get the chance to handcuff me, did you?” Theo winked at you when the lock had clicked in place.
You rolled your eyes. “Well, what can I say? I like to see my criminals handcuffed.”
You guided him outside so you could both hold on to your ends of the deal.
“As much as I love Kira, I can see why she needed to leave for a while. I swear I’m surrounded by idiots.” You said right when Liam was going to break the sword, making it impossible for you to send Theo back where he belonged. You cringed when you heard it break.
When Theo brought you three towards the transformer, Hayden started explaining the plan again.
“That sounds like a bad idea.” He chimed in, looking at them doubtful.
“Oh no,” you started, “the bad idea was bringing you back. Couldn’t get any worse than that.” You smiled smugly at him.
“She’s right.” Liam looked down at the ground.
“Hey,” Hayden took his hands in hers, “don’t listen to them. I believe in you.” She looked right into his eyes, before tilting his head upwards so she could kiss him.
“Ugh, guys, seriously?” you asked, but they didn’t even acknowledge you at the moment.
“Jealous? Maybe we could get some action ourselves.” He raised his eyebrow at you in a suggestive manner.
“The only action you could get from me is when I kick you in the —.”
“Wow,” he interrupted you before you could finish that sentence, “no need to spare my feelings there.” He said with sarcasm laced through his words.
You had to hold in your laugh. Feelings? Theo? “I don’t sugarcoat things, I’m not Willy Wonka.”
“No, but you sure are sweet.” His smiled returned.
You let out an exaggerated sigh. “Can you just stop it? I don’t know what you’re trying to achieve here, but I can guarantee it will not work.”
His smile seemed to falter. “You really don’t remember, do you?” he whispered gently.
“Remember what?” you asked confused with his gentle tone.
He just shrugged his shoulders. “Nothing, I guess.”
He took a deep breath and focused his gaze at Liam and Hayden now.
“How can I help?”
You didn’t think it was possible, but that damn boy managed to confuse you even more now.
While Mr. Stilinski, Liam and Theo were out there to hold back the ghost riders, you were all trying to remember Stiles.
It had been your turn to get into the sarcophagus. It was so cold in this thing, you were freezing your ass off. You were trying to remember him, remember Stiles, but the fact that you were standing in front of Scott with just your bra on didn’t really help. You weren’t as comfortable with everything like Malia, and Scott was one of your best friends, this was just weird. If you had known this morning that you had to stand in front of your friends like this, you would’ve put on that one red bra from Victoria’s Secret that you liked so much and —
“Y/N, focus.” Lydia’s voice interrupted your thoughts.
Right, focus. You tried to let Lydia guide you through your memories, untill suddenly, the memories came flooding through.
“Not those damn movies again Stiles.” You exclaimed when you saw which movie he had planned for you to watch. “Excuse me, the Star Wars movies are a piece of art, okay?”
“You think she’ll ever like me?” he asked you, staring down at his hand fumbling with his flannel. “Stiles, you’re one of my closest friends. Lydia Martin would be crazy to not see how amazing you are.” You reassured him of his crush.
“New scarve?” you smiled when you saw Isaac and Stiles arguing, again. “Didn’t have enough already, did you?” “Thank you.” Stiles thanked you for backing him up. “Ugh, you guys are awfull.” Isaac mumbled and just left, making you and Stiles high five eachother in victory. “You mean awesome!” You yelled at Isaac’s retrieving form.
You smiled at the feelings you felt. You finally remembered the amazing friendship you had with him. But it didn’t take long before other feelings took over when new memories came crashing in.
“He’s pure evil! I swear, Y/N, he’s the devil himself.” He tried to convince you to not trust Theo. “Well, then the devil sure did choose a goodlooking vessel for his reincarnation.”
“You like him, don’t you?” you were both sitting in his jeep, waiting for the rest of the pack to come back while you two were holding guard. You just nodded, knowing who he meant. “You want to hear the weird part?” he turned his head sideways to look at you, and you did the same out of curiosity. “Even though he really hates us and is a complete asshole, I think he actually likes you too.” Despite everything he had done, you still smiled at that.
“Y/N, run!” you listened to Theo, urging you to get away from the danger, as you took Stiles by the hand and dragged him out of there with you.
When Lydia, Scott and Malia pulled you out of the sarcophagus, you realized tears had been running down your face.
“Y/N? Are you alright?” Scott held your head in his hands, worried there was something seriously wrong.
“I, I remember Stiles.” You whispered. You held your gaze focused on the ground, trying to grasp what you had just remembered. “I also remember he loved you,” you finally looked up at Lydia, who was still looking at you with concern in her eyes, “and how smart he was.” You looked back away from them and whispered the next thing you said. “He even knew who I liked before I did myself.” You smiled and were finally able to look at all three your friends.
“I’m sorry, I have to go before it’s too late.” Scott and Lydia just smiled, happy for you, while Malia just looked confused.
“Where’s she going?”
You arrived at the hospital a little while later. Seeing as the town was already as good as empty, you didn’t really care your car wasn’t parked between the two lines. You quickly grabbed the baseball bat you now knew Stiles had given to you for your protection, and ran inside.
You had almost done the entire ground floor without seeing anyone, when you heard a ghost rider walking your way. You get yourself ready to swing as hard as you can, and just as he passed the corner, you swing the bat right against his head. The ghost rider falls, hitting his head against the railing against the wall, making him lose consciousness.
But whenever you would tell that story later, you’ll just say he lost consiousness because you hit him that hard.
Yeah, sounded much better.
You dragged him towards the first door you could find, and locked him in there. When you turned around, you saw something laying on the floor. You quickly took the gun and searched further.
When you found your way towards the elevators, you finally heard some voices, and the dinging of the elevator. You started running towards the sound, only to find Theo with his back towards the elevator, closing his eyes as he waited for the bullet to come.
Quickly and without further thinking about it, you shot the ghost rider with the gun, making him disappear and letting Theo open his eyes again when he realized he wasn’t shot. His eyes widened when he saw it was you that had come to his rescue.
“Quick!” You yelled, gesturing for him to come over to you. While he did so, you shot one other ghost rider that stood in his way.
“I know where the other elevator is.” You let out while running.
You were finally able to catch your breath when you reached the elevator. It dinged, revealing the small room with the awfull music.
“We’re not safe in here for long, they know how to ride the elevator.”
“Wow,” you said, fake gasping, “you mean to tell me that the crazy dudes who can ride horses and control lightning know how to push a button next to a door? Mind blowing.”
He just looked at you and seemed to remember something. “Why did you save me?” He asked softly.
“I don’t know.” You responded in the same soft tone.
He suddenly looked smug again. “You like me, don’t you?”
“Pff, please,” you let out, “you’re tolerable.”
Before you knew what was going on, you felt his lips against yours.
Being in shock at what was happening, you just stood there at first, but when your brain had finally caught up with the rest of your body, you started kissing him back.
When he pulled back, you left your eyes closed for a couple of seconds.
“You remember?” He whispered when you opened your eyes, looking so broken as if he would break into a million pieces if you would say no.
You pushed him against the elevator door and kissed him hard in response. You could feel his lips curl up in a smile against yours, when you got interrupted by the elevator ding.
Seeing a ghost rider standing on the other side, you quickly drew the gun back and pulled the trigger, making Theo jump when he heard the sound right next to his ears.
“Guess you saved my ass twice tonight.” He smiled when he saw what you did.
You smacked his ass from behind him, making him turn around to look at you in surprise.
“Well, it’s an ass worth saving.” You winked.
