Today marks the 18th Anniversary of the Disney Channel Original Movie “Kim Possible: So the Drama” which aired back in 2005.

The Kim Possible So The Drama movie was the perfect example of childhood friends becoming more

It starts out with Kim clearly having given up hope on her feelings for Ron because she sees Ron isn’t growing up as fast as she is, and Ron clinging to their relationship as it is and childhood itself, because she is a constant for him, and his big fear is that a change in their dynamic could cost him their relationship all together, so he stays in this refusal to grow up

But watching her grow closer with someone else forces him to acknowledge that she will outgrow him, and their relationship, if he doesn’t grow with her and admit his feelings for her have grown as well

It’s so perfectly executed because they are 17, they are leaving childhood and becoming young adults, and they are taking that step together, and it was only fitting that their relationship take the next step as well

Kim showed subtle hints to having feelings for Ron the whole series, Ron showed fear of ruining their relationship more than anything, so Ron being the one to admit his feelings first with the “out there, in here” line, was everything. It showed that he was willing to grow up for her, and she had been waiting since preschool for him to get there.

Anyways I’m rewatching the Kim Possible So The Drama movie and they taught me love guys

Idk maybe they crashed the highschool dance while 'kidnapping' Eric. Kids started hyping them up and Kim fighting an army of gigantic transformer bots buys them enough time for a dance or two.

Plot holes in KP

So it’s been bothering me for years that Kim and Ron’s Jr prom was last day of school and they didn’t have a Sr Prom. Now a lot people assume their Jr Prom was April or May. And most high school graduation are in June. So it is not adding up they didn’t have school the next week. However some schools have their prom around June 10. So the Juniors didn’t go to their last days of school and the Seniors just had their Graduation. I know it’s very unlikely I just want this make some sense.

A thing that disappointed is that Kim and Ron never had their Sr Prom, we only got see their homecoming. It could’ve been a big deal since it would’ve been Kim and Ron’s anniversary. Anyway I know for a fact that some schools don’t have a Sr Prom. So just maybe Middleton high didn’t either, that’s why Brick was at the Jr one.

Phew that was the longest observation I ever made, I thought of this 5 in the morning. I know this all speculation but I thought why not share my insanity with all of you lol.

I kinda find it funny that both the 2024 solar eclipse and the 19th Anniversary of KP's So The Drama is tomorrow.

Do you think Kim would've chosen Ron if he confessed his feelings even if Eric didn't turn out to be a villain? And do you think Kim treated Ron poorly while she was with Eric?

Yes. Aside from her later stating how she had waited twelve years for Ron to kiss her, implying she's had feelings for a long time, I also submit the evidence of the Moodulator. Theoretically, if the device just creates emotions at random, she could have cycled through crushing on anyone, directing her anger at anyone... But no, it was Ron and only Ron. (Just like with Shego it was Drakken and only Drakken.) I think fandom generally agrees, all the Moodulator did was amplify existing emotions, not create feelings that don't exist. Thus further evidence that Kim was already fallen for Ron.

Eric and Kim didn't have a "relationship" anyway. Eric was a prettyboy and Kim has been seen to go for those, and she was stressing about the prom. But all the pair had was attraction, and Eric was a synthodrone designed specifically to make her giddy. Had his identity not been revealed, and had he and Kim just...stayed together...it couldn't have lasted. Eventually, lust and kiddy crushes run their course.

And Kim didn't treat Ron like...anything, really? She just did what any person does when they are infatuated with a new significant other. They spend all their time with them and have less time for their friends. And when the critical moment came, Kim believed Ron and was ready to ditch the prom and the prettyboy to save the world with her trusted bestie. The fact is, Kim liked Ron too much to risk making a move, to possibly endanger their friendship. I think it always would have had to be Ron to cross that line.
