Just Admit It- Part 1

I've been playing around with possible friendship dynamics of the Beast Council for fun!! I love imagining what kind of childhood they could have in the Forgotten Land all together.

What if Carol and Sillydillo are the fun-loving extroverts? Leon is the introverted one who's been smitten by Carol for a really really long time but he's too shy about it? And Gori is the friend who is an excellent observer and will bluntly tell you what he thinks (and maybe has a tendency to get grumpy when things aren't easily going his way).

Somewhat of a prequel to this other doodle comic about Leon and Carol- everyone here is still a kid ^_^

You know, I'm coming around on Gotham War.

Not in the sense that it's GOOD.

In the sense of being someone who hosts a weekly bad movie night and can identify a ridiculous number of Syfy Original Movies from about five seconds of footage and laughs every single time at the part in Girl In Gold Boots where the guy just teleports into the scene abruptly.

This shit has looped around and become fucking hilarious.

#This event is so clearly the equivalent of a college group project where everyone did their own thing and tried to staple it together #All the slides in the presentation are in wildly different styles and Jeff accidentally did the wrong part #But it's due in like two hours and it's 60% of the final so we gotta just try to make it work #Gotham war #ceph rambles #Zdarsky over here is trying to write his Very Serious Mental Breakdown and Howard is like 'Brucelina fluff!'#And then the side stories got left off the text chain and aren't sure which part they're supposed to do so it's just kind of scotch taped on

#my art #I wish I didn’t do the yellow stalks but I had done one early and then couldn’t erase it so we had to commit #acrylics are teaching me to just commit to the bit tbh #uhm the inspiration is a house painted with flowers in Poland and also the polish Easter eggs I have in my apartment #I mostly copied the composition from the house but I think I’ll try more of my own in the future #this was more thinking about how to apply the colors and brush control to make petals and leaves #Ik all three paintings have been wildly different styles

Thredup is a great site for if you care only about what brand your clothes are and not about any of their features

#all of the search and categorizing options are so terrible #I mean the options are fine. it would be nice if selecting them meant you were shown clothing that matched them #also. you say on the site that sizing is wildly inconsistent between brands (we know)#you also provide (some) measurements for most items #why are you using tag size to sort things. you could use the measurements #‘my size’ is a basically useless filter because you want to put in the full range of sizes that might fit you in some brands #(since there’s not one size that fits you in all or even most brands)#but then 98% of results when you actually click on something cute are not your measurements anyway #because that size in that particular brand doesn’t fit #also why do you use only chest measurements for dresses. where is the waist measurement.#those are different things and there’s not a consistent ratio between them you can’t skip one #same with skirts having waist but not hip #although usually I’m looking for (and not finding because again filters don’t work) for styles where the hip measurement is irrelevant #you sure can search and sort by brand though!#thank god nobody cares about the style and fit and characteristics of their clothing and only the name on the inside #mine #tangent in the tags #not really though it’s all very much on the same topic lol #I got bored with poshmark browsing last time so I decided to switch it up #you would think a site where everything runs through it would standardize their stuff better but no it’s somehow worse #than the site with a thousand random people doing different things #thredup #thrifting

the DA comics have some great action and fight scenes but they cant keep Fenris(or other characters) consistent for shit. His eyes AND his skin tone change color multiple times. sometimes on the same page! how do you fuck up like this.

#his eyes are only green in blue wraith and switch to straight ice blue in dark fortress #his skin tone is so wildly inconsistent i can't even fathom it #'but the lighting!1!1' shut up you're bad at lighting a scene if you can't keep a characters base skin tone consistent #do comic artists just not have color guidelines at all or what.#I've used a million different lighting techniques #I use the same skin tone for fenris in. all of them! if not the same color then the same greyscale value #it REALLY isn't that hard like it really fucking isn't #idk i don't generally talk about topics like whitewashing because im white and theres a million people who could cover it #way way better than i ever could #but as an artist it gets annoying to see shit like this bc theres always some asshole who is going to defend it as just #'the comics style' or 'a lighting inconsistency' when it's not. Vaea is generally pretty consistent through the comic(as far as i can see)

#i’ve only read a couple of her books but the formats have been so wildly different it’s so good!!!#like she makes it so each book is different in style bc they’re different in theme !!#the footnotes in a thousand steps into night bc it read kind of sort of a little bit like a history textbook #and now the second person pov in her new book (an arc in reading) depicting the aftermath of child warriors in war it’s so goood like #it makes it feel all the more real and chilling it’s INCREDIBLE.#i never planned to read her entire backlog but like. maybe i will.#also this book is like fuck what’s it called. like every single thought is said it’s so GOOD it’s incredible bc i talk like that i think #like that and i write like that OURGH
