Tarkin is there and he does not fall into lava and die. I thought perhaps he would fall into lava and die at the end, and the Tarkin we know who sucks less was actually a different Tarkin. But Ahsoka saved him for some reason.

The guy they came to rescue died

They killed MULTIPLE doggies. They were evil alien wolves out to eat them, but they were still dogs to me.

So. Many. Dead. Clones. My heart shatters every time. What the heck.

No okay, this one gets two bullet points. We had a clone get cut in half?? One was shot in the face? One scaled a giant rock wall but then fell AND got electrocuted AND blew up. One died protecting Tarkin, who sucks. Almost as if “war” is in this show’s title twice or something.

Tarkin and Anakin commune over their belief that the Jedi should commit more atrocities.

They get the information they came for but it’s so secret that it GOES STRAIGHT TO PALPATINE. WHO WOULD HAVE GOTTEN IT ANYWAY

And worst of all

Okay so stay with me as I've been having thought...mostly Hawk and Thrush Thoughts...sort of...

Is there a fic (and there isn’t because I’m about to get oddly specific – maybe this is more of a cry to write this because I won’t) where somebody has inadvertently gotten close to Beta (on purpose seems a bit cruel and horrible) as an Aloy replacement?

In my head it’s Talanah – in some way this seems wrong and a touch out of character, but you know those oddly specific details? Well yeah, she works for those oddly specific details so stick with me here…

So Talanah crosses paths with Erend and naturally they get on about Aloy and he mentions that she’s spending a lot of time helping reunite the Quen Fleet and rather innocently makes a joke about how Aloy is more interested in spending time with a Quen Marine than reuniting the fleet (because of course the GAIA Gang have been gossiping about Aloy and Seyka – not to mention they’ve got an inside source! Alva is right there!) Talanah isn’t impressed by this information, though doesn’t know why (Erend has a good idea, but he’s already opened his big mouth once so he’s not doing that again).

How Talanah makes her way to the base I’m not sure (I can’t work it all out!) and cue an awkward first meeting with Beta because of course Aloy didn’t mention that there’s this anxious identical ‘twin’ wandering around. So Talanah is about to leave (because this wasn’t on her ‘Life with Aloy’ bingo card) when she discovers Beta doesn’t know how to use any weapons and really, how could Aloy be so careless as to leave her twin sister all alone in the base with no way to defend herself? Anybody could walk in! As evident by the fact Talanah had just walked in – that’s her argument and she’s sticking to it, she won’t hear any objection from Beta about how the base security was likely programmed by Aloy to let Talanah in because she's been there once before.

So Talanah sticks around to show Beta how to use a bow (or any weapon really) and Beta totally isn’t her Thrush because that would just be weird (not that the whole situation isn’t weird to either of them, but its just a little nice for Beta to have company and for Talanah to be away from the stress of the Hunters Lodge). And I can totally see Beta being the one to tell Talanah everything – about Nemesis, about Zero Dawn and Elisabet Sobeck, about how she and Aloy are clones (again, none of this was on Talanah’s ‘Life With Aloy’ bingo card). She’d also give her a Focus (because Beta doesn’t understand why Aloy isn’t handing these out like sweets to people!) and shows Talanah how to use the Focus and oh look! They’ve taught each other things and that’s nice.

So one day they decide to venture out of the base (again, I don’t know, I really don’t know why) and who do they stumble across? Well Amadis of course (because every story needs a villain – that was harsh, he’s not actually going to do anything wrong this time). He doesn’t get a close look at Beta and just thinks Aloy has drastically cut her hair and changed her clothes (she did it like three time the last time he met her, where is she hiding those armour sets???) and he passes comment about how both he and Talanah were using each other to get over other people the whole time. Talanah has an ‘oh fuck’ moment and Amadis goes on his way again not realising he's caused total turmoil again.

So Talanah’s ‘oh fuck’ moment hits home that she’s drawn to Beta because of Aloy and she’s done exactly what she never wanted to be and made somebody her second choice. And deep down I think no matter how close the two of them were getting, Beta knows she’s an Aloy replacement and her self esteem is so far in the ground that she’s just pretty much ‘that’s just it for me, I’ll never be anything other than the inferior copy’ (and my poor baby Beta, I want to hug her) so she’s just kind of clung to somebody being nice to her even if it’s possibly (keep possibly in your mind) not meant for her in the first place.

I didn’t say this wasn’t angst – I mean, my opening summary of this didn’t indicate there wasn’t angst!

How this ends I’m not sure – I have two options, again…stick with me…

Aloy returns to the base right in the aftermath of the ‘oh fuck’ moment and is totally confused about what Talanah is doing there, but she’s kind of grateful that Talanah was looking after Beta. Then she finds out how close the two have gotten and is not impressed because how dare Talanah go near Beta! And Aloy totally won’t admit to being jealous and what Quen Marine? She’s be reuniting the Quen Fleet!

The two then have a long overdue heart to heart and all their feelings laid bare, happily ever after Hawk and Thrush. This ending seems a bit harsh on Beta who I don’t think deserves that so from stage right enter some unseen original character who has never, ever laid eyes on Aloy and knows nothing about her so they can like Beta for being Beta.

Option 2 goes totally the opposite way, enters rare pare mode and Talanah realises Beta is a totally different person to Aloy and while the original reason she spent time with Beta was Aloy (and was totally wrong) she’s actually rather drawn to Beta’s totally different personality and quirks. Cue Aloy returning to the base with Seyka and being totally confused about what’s going on – and has Beta just stolen her moment? She was about to introduce her girlfriend to the gang and now Beta and Talanah are a thing and…well…typical sibling bickering.

Of course there’s hidden option 3 which is everybody is miserable and unhappy, but that seems a bit bleak even for me.

Well thanks for sticking with me for this long…whatever this is – I don’t know what this is. I’m going back under my rock now, I’ll keep these wild idea to myself as this got out of hand 😁

Sorry if this was already asked. But queries: how did Gaia lose her arm? What about how she met Elisabet? Did Miriam patent the Sobeck Glare? Final query: Of the twins, which one was considered Gaia/Kid’s copy more? Kinda a ‘Mama’s Baby etc’ thing?

GAIA: I tend to find that Elisabeta is the one most often likened to me on a surface level, as the youngest who needed more encouragement than her sister. However, the general consensus is she processes and thinks much more like Elisabet, once people have spent ample time with both of them.

GAIA: The opposite appears true for Aloysia--compared most at first to Elisabet, then to myself on a closer look!

I have an Egyxos AU that is just... 🥰🤩😂 just crack!!

In short, is an AU where Seth after the ep The Claws of Sobeck he pays a visit to Leo´s mother (who in my AU lost her husband after the twin's birth). And now, Seth can´t stop but think about how beautiful and strong Msr. Walker is =D

Eventually, Seth starts "dating" misses Walker on behalf of the council and Kefer, until Leo notices, and everything goes full drama novel.

But there's nothing they can do about it because it's been years since Msr. Walker ever dated someone and took some time for herself, and of course, is been years since Seth fell in love. So should they ruin everything, or find another solution??

Oh! And the drawing is just how I picture Seth with a human disguise.

But tell me, how do you think Leo and the others would react to this?

It's that kind of AU when you put a favourite character in a wholesome situation and I love it. AUs give me happiness. Seth deserves more content because he was ripped off it in the series.

I cherish the idea of Seth, the grumpy warrior man, is a loving dad.

I feel like the twins wouldn't even mind him. They would ask him lots of questions and maybe compare him to the ancient Egyptians Leo reads about. Leo's friends would think Seth is a cool dude(Colin would be 100% jealous because Seth got all attention). But Leo... I can't even imagine the situation he wouldn't be a drama queen about it. He'd rant to his mother about his dad, but then he would chill after a conversation with someone that his mother deserves to be happy and he should move on.

Leo would probably need more time than his lil siblings.

”Dr. Sobeck, it's a pleasure to meet you.” Elisabet automatically extends her hands but Travis’ laugh is what makes her look up. Right into possibly the most beautiful face she’s ever seen.

“It’s wonderful to meet you.” She responds hoping her gasp isn’t noticeable. Gaia, she knows the woman, recognises her glasses of all things, one of the technologies Gaia and her entire team had been working on. She was head of one of the biggest assistive and medical technological companies; she had developed a line of intensely detailed and responsive prosthetics and was working towards making them function on solar energy or wind which is what propelled her into the mainstream; and right into Elisabet’s path.

Patrick Brochard-Klein is standing in the middle of her hotel room. He’s smiling at her and Elisabet has enough decency not to glare at him.

“I’m sorry for the rude awakening.” He passes her coffee, tailor made as usual.

“Apology accepted.” She sips and watches as he pulls a holoscreen over, looking nervous.

“You know the um, lightkeeper project.”

“Of course, have there been developments?”

“In a way..”

“Patrick, please..” Elisabet doesn’t want to hear him stutter through preparing her for the first large animal trial.

“Gaia volunteered to be a surrogate.”

“What does that have to do with me? My wife can make her own choices.”

“I am aware; I wanted to offer you; the option…The embryo’s can’t be of the host or they’ll be reabsorbed.”

“Oh; it’s that sort of development.”

“It would be above board, but you would need to remain anonymous.”

“You know how hard that is, I doubt Travis could even keep that level up; at least not without hurting himself; I can’t ask that of him..”

“Just name him a godparent; we all know the Alpha’s will be; you know someone who could help?” Elisabet grimaces.

“I do.”

“Lis, be careful.” Patrick’s hand is a comfort on her shoulder.

“Of course, nothing about you get’s out.”

“I more meant being around your bitch of an ex.”

“Oh.” Her laugh is warm, the coffee is half done and she lets Patrick explain everything about the procedure; all the risks and the rewards. Elisabet feels a spike of nerves, already getting ahead of herself; how is she going to tell her mom.

”Oh I’m sorry to hear about the child..” Tilda’s face looks genuinely hurt for a second and Gaia is taken aback.

“Sorry?”

“You’re here because you want my help keeping the failure hidden?”

“No, the success.” Gaia can see the sneer Tilda wants to make, instead it twists into confusion.

“Oh, congratulations then.”

“Yes, thank you. Now..” Elisabet rustles some papers, always the one to get right into the business at hand.

“We’re here, because we need your help; I need your help; you know what would happen if this got out. If they both were exposed..” Tilda softens slightly at Elisabet’s plea.

“Twins, we got lucky, seemed cruel to pick..” Elisabet smiles faintly; Tilda knows she’s always wanted a sister. What a shame her daughter will feel the same. They manage to draft a simple contract in under an hour; it will be fully settled in the next meeting. Tilda knows there’s always a next meeting

“Now the matter of my fee..”

“Of course, Travis said, well he doesn’t hold a high opinion of you. Said you were one step away from becoming an immortal soulsucking planet killer. So we brought accordingly.” Elisabet tries to tease and Tilda appreciates the lie.

“Please tell him I return his sentiment.”

“Of course, now I know normally you hold a high price, we’ve brought cash so..”

“Oh no I couldn’t accept..”

“Tilda, we’re going to pay you. Name it.” Gaia snaps a little annoyed at the thought Tilda will ply Lis into a date or try to steal her away for keeping the secret. She wants the meeting over and done with, and Gaia realises her impatience will be her undoing.

“If I’m going to be part of the biggest cover up for a successful cloning, between two of the worlds best, I want a stake in it.”

“Of course; we can take your samples and..” Elisabet’s mind is already firing, figuring out where and when they could meet, so it wouldn’t be suspicious. Tilda smiles, that’s what she loves about Elisabet.

“One of them.”

“What?”

“One of the twins, you pick.”

“Why on earth would you..” Gaia jerks back, standing from the table and shuffling back towards the door. Tilda’s hand on her shoulder feels like claws.

“I want you both to know I’m serious about this; what says that more than taking half of the responsibility.”

“You can’t..”

“Should have listened to Travis, did he make some comment about how he could keep the media down, keep everything hidden and quiet?” Tilda laughs, pleased she’d gotten his argument so spot on; she hated Travis Tate, but he was the same as her; just never had himself as a priority like she did.

“Do you want updates?” Tilda resettles her focus on Lis who looks pale.

“You don’t have to. Just general health.”

“What happens if we… if they, or one doesn’t…” Elisabet tries to talk around her growing fear.

“Then all I was doing was keeping your wife’s delicate health and risky pregnancy out of public spaces.” Tilda is shocked and Gaia relishes her face as Elisabet hugs her.

“Thank you Tilda, thank you.” Tilda smiles, sighing a little as Elisabet and Gaia leave her office. She glances up at the door as it closes, and smirks.

Whilst I know Aloy and Beta are of different ages, but I had a headcanon that whenever the two of them are out of the Base; Oseram and then eventually everyone starts calling them the Flame Haired Twins when they're seen together.

At first Aloy hates it, and almost goes into full Big Sister mode and tries to put a stomp on that so it doesn't hurt Beta's feelings. On the contrary, Beta loves it!

Beta is so happy that people recognize her as part of a family, and even more so as Aloy's "sister" not a clone of a dead woman. And upon seeing Beta happy, Aloy is too. It takes the huntress a while but she takes comfort in that people see the two of them as what they always wanted. They may not have had the family they dreamed about, but this family is good, whole and nothing can break them.
