Modern Day Sodapop Headcanons:

-He’s totally TikTok famous for no reason

-He wouldn’t smoke in modern day bcz he rarely smoked in the book and smoking is way less normalized now

-He’s dyslexic and ADHD, and was in the book too but it wasn’t diagnosed back then yk?

-He’s obsessed with gaming (do’s everyone else) but kid of shit at it bcz he takes to long to memorise all the buttons and gets distracted to easily

-He texts in tons of separate messages and absolutely blows up the other persons phone with notifications

-He totally had the middle school phase of “skibidi gyatt rizzler” (bold of me to say that)

-NOT a fuckboy like please- can yall really imagine good natured Sodapop cheating on every girl he meets??

-That one boy who is actually polite and holds a conversation with anyone instead of bullying them

-He has one of those energy drink collections of like, prime and shit

I js rewatched the movie, and ngl I always forget how ignored soda is… like, in the book he has this whole built up personality, there’s Mickey Mouse, there’s the rodeos, there’s sandy, there’s sandy cheating… but in the movie it’s just like “oh hey I’m soda n I’m a dumb drop out who loves my brother”
