Dabi’s Backstory/ Tragedy of Todoroki Touya
Honestly Dabi’s story is just so heartbreaking, every time I think about it I get sad. Honestly I first got into his character and the fandom after seeing dabi dance (which was just amazing)
I think anyone in his position would go mad, or suicidal or something. I often see people not understanding the fact he was raised with a single goal in mind. All he knew was to impress his father with his quirk and train to be a hero so that his father can be proud. That was all he knew, and it was ripped apart from him. Because of his brother, and because of his own quirk, he not didn’t even merit a glance from his father. He felt defective, useless, cast aside. We see him wondering why he was even born, because he knows that Enji wanted a tool to beat All Might, and he wasn’t that tool.
He might not have been physically abused (which doubtful, cause wouldn’t it be logical that they were trained in a similar manner) but he was certainly emotionally abused. Then when he woke up from his coma after 3 years, he still wanted to impress his father, to apologise. He certainly wasn’t a villan then. He actually couldn’t be one, as he refused to be trained by anyone but his father. But in reaching home he sees that his death changed nothing. Shoto still got trained (in his eyes that brutal training was normal) and he was left a shrine, forgotten and replaced by a better model (Shoto) This had been his last straw and what lead him to be a villain, the loss of everything he was and could have been, the thought of being replaceable, unimportant, useless in a sense.
Ah this turned way too long, I guess I just wanted to vent it out. Cause after his reveal his mother wanted Enji to fight Dabi as Shoto had finally started to forgive him and they were becoming a family. Like she didn’t even wonder what happened to her oldest son? And how that son was doing? (I didn’t read much past those chapters so idk if I am correct or not. It was just heartbreaking is all)

god your tummy is just so squishy and they want to lay on your stomach to feel your warmth and your plump body underneath them. they just want to lift up your top so that there's skin to skin content while they just place their hand on your tummy because it's the most comfiest place their hand can rest on. they want to take a bite of your stomach rolls, give them a nibble, they just want to mark your tummy up so much. he wants to wrap his arms around your soft tummy and pull your body against his. they lose their train of thought when they think of you wearing tighter clothes that make your tummy more visible and prominent than in your other clothes. if you ever wore a crop top in front of them be ready for them to lose their minds, they'll insist on taking a photo together of the two of you as a reminder about how confident you look dressed up all cute in the crop top but really they just wanted a photo of you wearing it because you look so hot.

they try to keep their eyes on your face, they swear they do but when they see your thick thighs expand as you sit down they find it hard, they're memorised watching as your thighs increase in size as you get comfortable in your chair. they're the ones who fuck into their fists at nights imagining that they're fucking your soft thighs instead, imagining the jiggle of your plush skin and how your thighs look like they're swallowing his cock. they're the ones at night who hump their pillow, creating friction on their clits, while they dream about riding your soft thigh instead. they watch you stand on your tippy toes trying to reach something on a high shelf, they see your skirt lift up higher and they basically drool as they see your upper thighs, catching a glance of the dimples of your skin and your cellulite before your skirt goes back to normal as you come back down off your tippy toes.

oh boy your love handles are so multipurpose for them. the need to kneed them after grabbing you by your love handles and keeping you close to their body. they watch as you walk your love handles move along with you, almost hynotisingly. they think about holding your love handles while you're sitting on their lap, imagining stroking your skin delicately and moving you by your love handles up and down on their thigh or their cock, having control on the way you move above them. they're imagining holding so tight they'll leave pretty bruises on your soft pudgy skin so you'll remember who made you feel good as they drag you along their thigh pressing perfectly against your clit, they'll imagine holding your love handles as they move you up and down on their cock while you take it and try your best to not to collapse feeling like a pile of jelly due to the pleasure you're receiving. they imagine about how your love handles would so malleable underneath their hands.

short legs or long legs either way they're into it. they love the plumpness of them. when you wear raised shoes, even if they've only slightly have a heel or a raise they're drooling over your legs in them and how your legs have a curvy shape while wearing them. when you're not wearing heels or boots they're still going to be drooling over your legs because they just look so squishy and pillowy. they reckon you'd squeal and feel ticklish if they placed delicate kisses underneath on the bottom side of your knee. wrapping your legs around them for any reason? they love it. they imagine when they're in bed having you in a mating press with your legs on their shoulders. they imagine wrapping your legs around their waist if they're strong enough to carry you. they've had to change the bedsheets on more than one occasion because they've had a wet dream or have gotten cum everywhere on the sheets as they picture you wearing knee high socks and matching canvas shoes.

the squish, the softness, the stretch marks, the flabbiness, sign them up. they love everything about your arms and hands. they're the ones who love when you wear short sleeves they see your stretch marks that decorate your arms and it's just so beautiful. when you grab hold of them by their wrist or you hold hands they think about how soft your hands feel, your chunky fingers grabbing on tightly to them, bringing you both comfort. they love it when you carry anything under your upper arms, they're not really sure why but it just gets them going. they cherish when you stroke their hair, they get to feel your chubby fingers make patterns on their head and they could easily fall asleep. they love hotter days when you wear summer dresses with spaghetti straps that slightly dig into your skin.

they're not perverts, they're not! they swear it! ...but they spend the majority of their time thinking about your chest or looking at it. they can't help it, no matter what you're wearing they always look so good and pliable, it's not their fault if your tits look squeezable. they love when you wear those push up bras on night outs, especially when you wear low cut tops with it. their favourite is when you're not wearing a bra at all though, they love knowing that you're comfortable enough around them to prefer comfort over style when you're alone together hanging out. sometimes they feel the need to look away bashfully when they spot that your nipples are visible. they love when your breasts swing low and move freely in the long comfy tops you wear, it makes them imagine the feel of them in their hands, how soft and heavy they are. they've heard before that bigger chests typically have sensitivity, they want to test that so bad.

they're the human embodiment "i hate to see her leave but i love to watch her walk away." they can't decide if they prefer it when you wear short skirts, mini skirts, short dresses, pencil skirts, or leggings, your ass looks so good in all of them. they love the way your leggings and pencil skirts cling to your body and they love the short skirts and dresses that show more of your ass when you bend down or dance and sway, if they look close enough they can spot your underwear while you spin around and dance. they love the jiggle of your ass and they imagine late at night the loud slapping noises that would happen when their hips make contact with your ass while they thrust into you. doggy style and spanking are two things that make them go wild with the wobble of your curvaceous ass bouncing in time with their movements.

not all chubby people have bigger breasts, obviously, but the last line on the chest section suggests that it's about someone that does

touya todoroki was eight when his hair began to turn white.
his father had given up on him. said there was no point in training him. not when his quirk began eating away at his body everytime he used it.
every night, you would find more, and more burns. some more severe than the others, the skin peeling and rotting in ways you didn't know was possible. and every night, you’d place your cold, cold hands on him, and heal him as best as you could.
sometimes, you wanted to stop. your quirk made you feel like you had been plunged in an ice cold bath, hands holding you down as you struggled to breath. you could feel the ice creeping into your veins, threatening to freeze you from the inside out. but you kept on pushing. for touya. for the boy who couldn't give up, even if he wanted to.
“enji went to the doctor’s today.” touya spoke, leaning against the trunk of the big oak tree. “said i cant use my quirk anymore. ‘parently i have my mom’s body or… whatever.”
you could hear the anguish in his voice. his dream, no. his father’s dream was now a lost cause. all the hours, all the blood, the sweat, the tears, down the drain in an instant. all because he lost the genetics lottery.
“what… what now?”
touya pushed away from the tree to look directly at you as he waited for his answer. the sun was beginning to set, casting an orange glow on both of you. you two never met in the daytime. afraid your parents would find out, that endeavour would find out. you were both on edge, and today’s news didn’t help at all.
“i dont know, toy’.”
"you don’t know?” touya responded in disbelief. he was angry at the situation, and angry at himself. “of course you don’t know. you don’t know anything. do you even care?”
touya’s voice was harsh, cold. he didn’t mean to hurt you, he really didn’t.
but when you’re an eight year old child who just had your dreams snapped away from you days after your birthday, it was a normal reaction. or as normal as one can be in a situation like this, anyway.
he began pacing, hands tugging at his hair with so much force you were afraid he would rip it from his scalp. touya’s hair had begun turning white in some places, and you didn't know whether it was from his mother, or from stress. you don't know which one you would have preferred.
you didn't know what to do. your parents never trained you on how to use your quirk at all. sometimes, selfishly, you wished you had a father like endeavour. a figure in your life that would help you hone your quirk the way enji did to touya. you could take it, the harsh words, and the unforgiving regime, if only it meant you could relieve the pain touya seemed to feel in every waking moment.
“i’m—” he mumbled, stopping to look at you.
touya looked like a mess. his skin was littered with burns and scars you couldn't heal all the way, his eyes bloodshot from tiredness and stress, hair messy and greasy.  his voice was soft, and if you really listened, you could hear him trembling.
“i didn’t mean that. i’m sorry.”
touya slowly walked over to your spot and sat down wordlessly. his shoulders slumped, and he brought his knees to his chest.  he didn’t say anything for a long time. the sound of cicadas surrounded the two of you, and the last of the sunlight faded away. the sky was dark, and a few stars had already begun to appear. the moon was half way dark, peeking out from behind the clouds in the night sky.
as touya rested, you slowly inched closer to him until your shoulder touched his. he didn’t flinch away, and instead slowly rested his head on your shoulder.
after a few moments, he spoke softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
“what am i going to do?”
touya was a just a kid, but sometimes you forgot that. you forgot that he was just a child, not some grown adult that could handle the pressure of the world on their shoulders like endeavour had made him out to be.
“have fun.”
touya’s head moved from your shoulder to look at you.
”have fun?” he responded in disbelief. “i can’t really have fun when my quirk— when my whole life is falling apart, can i now?”
"your whole life doesn't have to revolve around your quirk, touya."
“how is it not supposed to revolve around my quirk?”
touya sat up straighter, putting distance between the two of you. he looked at you with an incredulous look, like you had just suggested he run away with his tail between his legs.
“all i’ve ever done is train, train, and train. train and work my butt off for a quirk i never even really wanted. and now it’s all going down the drain like i’m nothing more than trash.”
touya sat back against the tree again, leaning his head back and looking up at the stars, emerging from their cocoon once more.
”this is all i’ve ever had. without my quirk, i’m nothing.”
he was bitter and resentful. at his father, for lighting this fire under him. at his mother, for giving birth to him. at himself, for not being enough.
to touya, the idea of suddenly stopping everything he knew seemed impossible. being the number one hero was the only thing on his mind since the day he was born. it was engraved into his brain, and all he knew to do.
so now that he was stripped of that, where did that leave him? what was he supposed to do? who was he, if not the less than perfect successor for his father?
“what am i gonna to do now, huh? play outside? play with others? run around like a freakin’ kid?”
“yeah, actually.. you should play with me.”
“play with you?” touya responded sceptically, raising an eyebrow at you. “what are we supposed to do? have a tea party?
the idea of playing, especially in his current state of mind, seemed like a foreign concept. you two played sometimes, yes, but touya sometimes felt like he was going through the motions, if anything. he never really found anything in playing house with you, or pretending he was a villain and you, a monster. at least thats what he told himself, anyway. he’d rather keel over and die than admit he enjoyed spending time with you.
“if you wanna.”
touya looked dumbfounded. like you had just sprouted a second head. he knew you could be a little slow sometimes, but this was too much.
“seriously? we’re like… eight. we’re too old for that. we’re basically teenagers. ‘n’ you want to spend your time playing tea party? ” he said, making a face. “when we could be doing something actually fun, like skipping rocks or something? don't you have anything else in that head of yours?”
“...we could go to the park?”
“the park?” touya repeated, staring at you, a sarcastic lilt to his voice. “why do you wanna go to the park? so we can sit and spin around on the roundabout till we fall off?”
“i mean.. no one's gonna be there. its late, so we’ll have it all to ourselves, touya.”
“that’s…” he began before stopping.  it actually sounded kind of cool. the idea of sneaking into an empty park at night with you. the idea of getting caught… excited him.
he let out a grumble, looking away. “fine. let’s go to the park.” he relented.
touya slowly got up from the ground and dusted off his pants before sticking his hands into the pockets of his hoodie.
“this better not be stupid,” he muttered as the two of you began making your way through the park.
it was late, meaning there was basically no one out except the occasional night-shift worker or the local drunkard. the only sounds to accompany you were the cars driving past, or the songs of the crickets. as the two of you walked, touya glanced over at you.
he noticed the way you walked confidently, almost with purpose. he would often catch himself stumbling as he walked, still not used to his gangly limbs. you, on the other hand, seemed to move so flawlessly. he was premature, and as a result, was shorter than fuyumi, and probably natsuo when he becomes of age. he was taller than you, sure, but that wasn't a feat by any means considering your height.
he kept his gaze on you for a few more seconds before looking away.
“hey,” he spoke suddenly, breaking the silence. “how come ya’ never play with other kids?”
it was a question that was bothering him for a while now. you never seemed to want to go hang around other kids, opting to stick by his side. touya could never really figure out why. maybe he didn't want to. he couldn't tell.
“why would i, touya,” you grinned, stretching out his name and slinging an arm around his shoulder, relishing in the way he recoiled. “when i have you?
a scoff.
“don’t say that,” he said in a deadpanned voice, but there was a light flush beginning to spread across his face.
he wasn't used to receiving praise from anyone, but when it came from you… it made him uncharacteristically embarrassed. touya didn't particularly know his emotions very well, especially not one that made him so flustered he wanted to throw up. not one that only ever seemed to show its face whenever he was around you.
“seriously, though. i’ve never seen you talk to anyone else like you do with me. how come?”
touya continued walking, casting an expectant glance in your direction. you didn't know what to say.
he had no idea why he wanted to know so badly. why the idea of you talking to other kids bothered him so much.  and he knew it was stupid. you were allowed to make other friends. hell, he was the one not letting you make friends with other people. but the thought of you talking to anyone else other than him sent a sharp pang to his chest.
he shook the thought away, forcing the feeling of possessiveness down.
after a few moments of silence, he spoke again, keeping his gaze straight ahead.
“...what makes me so special, anyway?”
“shut up, touya.”
touya let out a surprised huff of air at your response.
he stopped walking and spun around to face you so suddenly, that you nearly ran into him. there was a scowl on his face, and his eyes were narrowed.
“don’t tell me what to do,” he replied in a low tone, trying to sound intimidating the way his father seemed to be so effortlessly.
he wasn’t quite sure why. maybe it was the thought of you giving your attention to someone other him, or maybe he just wanted some sort of response from you.
he leaned closer, using his barely-there advantage of height to loom over you. he watched your face, trying to figure out what was going through that dumb head of yours.
touya’s face inches closer to yours, close enough that you could feel his warm breath fan across your face. his eyes were locked onto yours, watching intently as you began to shift uncomfortably.
your hands began to feel a lot colder than usual as your fingertips began to turn white. the warmth in your veins was quickly replaced with a chill that you were all too familiar with.
your heart was beating quick and fast. you hadn’t realised how hard it had been beating until you felt your heart thump against your chest. you were sure touya could hear it, with how close he was.
you could feel the heat rising to your cheeks as he leaned in even closer, his eyes still locked in onto yours. there was a determined look in his eyes, like he was trying to figure you out.
“whatever. i wanna go on the seesaw.”
touya’s expression soured at your nonchalant reaction. instead of the nervous stammering and stuttering he was hoping for, you had calmly responded, not giving him the slightest show that he had any sort of effect over you.
he watched as you looked away, avoiding his gaze. there was a faint redness to your cheeks, and a part of him felt satisfied at the sight of it. but there was also an undercurrent of annoyance at the idea of being dismissed like that.
he let out a scoff and backed away, putting some distance between the two of you.
“the seesaw?” touya repeated, raising an eyebrow. “what are ya, five years old?”
he wasn’t quite sure what he had been expecting you to propose, but it certainly wasn’t that. the thought of standing on a children’s toy, awkwardly swinging up and down and up again, was laughable.
you, on the other hand, seemed completely serious as you nodded. “yeah!”
he stared at you for a moment, contemplating whether or not you were messing with him. but your expression was as deadpan as always, giving no hint that you were anything but sincere.
he let out a heavy sigh, rolling his eyes as a look of resignation crossed his face. “fine. let’s go on the damn seesaw.”
you grinned, bounding over to it with way too much energy someone should have in the dead of night. touya rolled his eyes again at your excitement. he was not particularly enthusiastic about going on a child’s toy, but he begrudgingly followed you to the playground. you practically dragged him over to the brightly painted seesaw, eagerly taking a seat on one side.
he reluctantly took a seat on the opposite one, the metal frame of the seesaw creaking under his weight. he glanced over at you, a frown on his face. "this is stupid."
you, on the other hand, were having the time of your life. you bounced up and down on the other end of the seesaw, giggling as the metal frame made squeaking sounds. touya sat on the other side, arms crossed, but you could tell by the way his shoulders were squared that he was trying not to fall off without giving in and actually play.
"come on," you said, gesturing for touya to bounce as well. "it's more fun when both of us are doing it."
"having fun yet?" you called out, still bouncing up and down like a hyperactive child. the metal frame between the two of you was starting to groan in protest.
touya let out a huff. "this is dumb," he repeated. "i'd rather be doing literally anything else right now."
he continued to bounce, but his movements were more restrained than yours. the whole thing seemed so childish, especially with you gleefully giggling away on the other end.
“fine! lets go on the swings then.” you frowned, peeling yourself off the seesaw sadly and trudging over to the swingset.
touya let out a scoff, his hold on you reluctantly loosening “of course its the swings,” he said with a roll of his eyes, shifting his hands to rest on your hips. “you always wanna go on those stupid things.”
“yeah i do. they're the coolest!”
you quickly regained your composure, however, and looked back at touya with a raised eyebrow. "slides are lame. swings are where it's at. you can go up and down!"
he let out a scoff again, shoving his hands into the pockets of his hoodie. "slides are better. they're faster. there's more adrenaline. now c’mon,” he murmured, walking side by side with you, absentmindedly matching the way you walked. left, right. left, right.
touya watched you closely as you sat down, his hands resting gingerly on your shoulders until you were safely seated on the swing. he stood there for a moment, his heart skipping a beat as your hair blew softly in the wind, framing your face with a few strands of hair.
he quickly brushed the feeling aside, shaking his head as he walked around to stand behind you.
“im gonna push you now, alright?”
“‘mkay!”
touya positioned himself behind you, his hands wrapped around the chains of the swing. his heart felt like it was trying to beat out of his chest. he took a deep breath, praying silently that you didn’t notice how nervous he actually was.
“okay, on the count of three…”
he began to count down, softly at first but gaining momentum as he reached the end. on three, he pushed you gently, propelling the swing forwards.
as you began to swing, touya let out a long exhale, his breath leaving him in a shaky whisper. he stood behind you, watching as you soared through the air, a smile on your face bigger than the moon.
he couldn’t help but notice how… carefree you looked. how your hair would sometimes brush against his knuckles as he pulled you backwards. how you would throw your head back in laughter every time you reached the peak of the swing. touya pushed you again, watching as you ascended even higher this time.
the sight of you swinging back and forth, your hair blowing in the gentle breeze, made his heart flutter. touya couldn’t tear his gaze away from you, his eyes fixated on your figure as you gained momentum.
he swallowed hard, trying to steady his breathing. he didn’t know why he felt so flustered, he had been pushing you on the swings for years.
this time felt different though. maybe it was the way the moonlight shone on your skin, or the way your shoulders shook with quiet giggles.
“push me touya! higher!”
touya let out a scoff of mock annoyance, though he knew he couldn’t deny you.
“you’re such a pain in the ass,” he muttered under his breath, pushing the swing with more force.
watching you go higher and higher, your laughter filling the air, touya couldn’t help but smile to himself. he wanted to know what it was like to be up there, to see the moon, and the stars. to feel free, even for just a moment.
and touya never understood why in movies the main characters always seemed to be ‘stuck in place’. stood there, looking like an idiot as something that could have easily been prevented from happening in front of them. he was old enough to understand that it was for the plot, but he couldn't help but feel frustrated when a character wanders back into the house with a killer in it for the nth time.
but now, he was frozen, his whole body seizing as the you swung up, and up, fingers slipping from the chains and your body falling, encapsulated by nothing but the light of the moon.
time seemed to slow down at that moment. he could hear the thumping of his own heart in his ears, like a primal drum, beating in time with the seconds ticking by.
he tried to call out to you, to warn you about the impending fall, but no sound came out of his agape mouth. he could only watch, feet glued to the ground, as you came back down towards the ground at an increasingly high speed.
touya’s heart skipped a beat, his blood turning to ice as he saw you slip from the swing. he wasn’t sure what overtook him in that moment, but he felt his body moving on its own.
within seconds, he found himself darting forward, arms outstretched as he tried to catch you midair. panic surged through him like electricity, his thoughts racing a mile a minute.
touya had no time to think, no time to weigh the risks or the consequences of what he was about to do. he acted, pure instinct taking over his body.
he moved with an almost superhuman speed, his long legs covering the distance between you and him in the blink of an eye. touya felt his adrenaline spike as he stretched his arms out towards you, his eyes locked onto your falling form.
he knew, somewhere in the back of his mind, that this was a terrible idea. that he was putting himself in danger too. but in that moment, all he cared about was saving you.
time seemed to stretch on into infinity as he caught you, his arms encircling around your waist. he held you tight against his chest, the force of the impact causing him to stumble backwards.
he fell onto the ground, landing on his back with a thud. the air left his lungs in a sharp exhale, his body tense as he tried to process what had just happened.
for a moment, touya laid there, his chest heaving as he struggled to catch his breath. his arms were still wrapped around you, holding you impossibly close against him.
“....touya?” your voice was small, eyes blown wide and terrified of every little thing that went bump in the night. you were always so strong, never wavering or faltering whenever you were around him. but here, right now, there was nothing you needed more than him.
"i got you," he breathed out, his voice shaky and ragged.
he held you closer, his hold on you tightening almost possessively. touya didn't know why his heart was pounding so hard, why his whole body felt like it was on fire.
he inhaled deeply, savoring the faint scent of your hair. it was a subtle, sweet fragrance that reminded him of wildflowers and sunshine.
"you're okay. i've got you," he repeated, more for his own reassurance than yours.
he sat up slowly, the movement causing him to wince slightly. his back was definitely going to hurt later, but he didn't care about that right now. all he cared about was making sure you were alright.
touya's eyes trailed over your form, searching for any signs of injury. he lifted a hand to gently cup your chin, tilting your face upwards so he could look at you properly.
he didnt know a single thing about taking care of others. didnt know how to put on a bandage, didnt know what medicine was what. didnt know how to comfort anyone, if at all. all he knew was what he saw his mother do, time, and time again.
his gaze softened as he looked into your eyes, taking in the sight of your tear-stained face. the sight tugged at his heartstrings, but he tried his best to keep his emotions in check.
he held your chin a little tighter, his thumb gently rubbing over your skin in a comforting motions.
"you're crying.”
“shut up. no– no ‘m not.”
touya couldn't help but roll his eyes at your reaction. even in moments like these, you were as stubborn as ever.
he let out a huff of amusement, shaking his head slightly as he used his thumb to wipe away the tears from your eyes.
"yeah, yeah, whatever you say," he said in a sarcastic tone. "because your tears are definitely just sweat, right?"
you nodded, shutting your eyes tight as you willed the world to stop spinning. you didn't know how people stomached going skydiving or riding rollercoasters, and you didn't think you ever would.
touya chuckled, his hand moving from your chin to pat your head fondly.
"you're an idiot, you know that?" he teased, his voice softening at the sight of your tear-stained face.
he hated seeing you cry. more than he knew he should.
the butterflies in his stomach stirred as he continued to hold you close, his hand still tangled in your hair. he tried to shake the feeling off, reminding himself that he was just being a good friend. that's all.
but as he sat there, with you in his arms and your tears staining his shirt, he couldn't ignore the fluttering in his chest.
he sat there for a moment, his fingers gently threading through your hair as he tried to catch his breath. he knew he should make sure you were actually okay, that your little stunt didn't actually get you hurt.
but right now, all he could focus on was you. the way your eyelashes fluttered against your skin as you blinked back tears, the way your lower lip trembled ever so slightly.
it was driving him crazy.
“can… can we go home?”
touya's heart ached at the sound of your soft, shaky voice. the way you looked so small and fragile in his arms right now made his chest tighten with an unfamiliar feeling. it was nauseating. you were always so strong around him, but seeing you like this was like flipping a switch in his brain.
he gently patted your head once more, his fingers lingering on your hair for a moment, before nodding.
"yeah," he responded, his voice quiet and hoarse. "yeah, we can go home."
he’d have to sneak you through the window again. as much as he wanted your parents to check you out now, it’d be too much of a risk.
touya's mind raced with thoughts as he helped you up onto your feet, his grip never loosening from your waist.
he knew the drill by now. he would have to sneak you back into your room through your bedroom window, without getting caught by your parents. he took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart. he could do this. he'd done it several times before.
touya always walked you home after the first night. it was the least he could do, anyways. his father was cruel, but not cruel enough to not raise a gentleman.
and touya didn't mind walking you back home. in fact, there was a secret part of him that actually relished in the time alone with you. the comfortable silence, the gentle brush of your hand against his, the way the dim street lights illuminated your face.
he could pretend, even if just for a moment, that it was just the two of you in the world. no parents, no rules, no responsibilities.
it was a foolish dream, but he clung to it like a lifeline, nonetheless.

Touya as a hero would probably still end up with his quirk hurting him so he keeps it low profile that it is hurting him even with the support gear.
In this au Touya never became Dabi and when he burned on Sekoto Peak he was found by people who lived in a nearby village. He didn’t tell them his identity when he came to and only went back home when he was fully healed.
He learns what his mother did to Shouto and sees that nothing changed while he was away.
It crushes him.
So much so he retreats into himself.
He doesn’t acknowledge the warm attempts of his siblings to reconnect. He remains polite and even tolerates Shouto being near him which was a surprise none of the todoroki children saw coming.
Nothing seemed to phase Touya not even his fathers attempts at asking him what happened. He simply blocked everything and everyone out.
He trained his power in secret and learned to build his flames to a manageable degree. He enrolls into U.A without his father knowing until he sees him leaving one morning for school. No amount of questions phase Touya as he simply locks his dad out his room.
That night Enji cried for the smile that died on Sekoto Peak.
If only he had come when he was wanted then things would be different.
Life was different when Touya came back. Shouto no longer lived a separate life from his siblings and Touya was top of his class. He was seen as remarkable for using so little of his quirk while training to become a pro hero.
He ended up spending every internship under the watchful gaze of best jeanist and Aizawa. He was aiming to be an underground hero like Aizawa but he needed Best Jeanist so he could receive the necessary credits.
Time flew by as he focused on his studies and soon he was a licensed hero.
He did it. He finally did it.
He wasn’t a failure, he was worth existing. He was worthy of being loved and alive.
So why didn’t he feel like it?
He was twenty three now in the top twenty. He preferred staying there even if he could aim higher. Even with his support gear after all these years his fire still took a toll on his health.
Touya kept that information between himself and a private doctor on the lower side of the city. He figured he’d be alright since most hero’s steered clear of the area but his luck ran short when he saw pro-hero Hawks.
Touya felt his chest tighten and his vision shake as he turned a bit too fast and started walking the other direction. He was halfway home when he felt the familiar pain. His vision blurred and his body grew painfully cold.
After the fire Touya was given medicine to keep his body from overheating, essentially bringing forth more of his mothers quirk causing his fire to shut down and let the ice in his veins run rampant. His body was suited for the cold so his organs wouldn’t shut down. But it did cause irreversible nerve damage and brought to light his weak immune system.
Trembling from the chill, Touya felt his hands shake and his fingers lock. He was still a crier at heart and right now he felt himself sniffle as the water curled his lashes. But before he could shed them his body gave out and the world grew red and gold then black.
He comes to in a bundle of blankets and with something soft tickling his cheek. With no energy to move Touya lays in the soft cocoon before a hand with sharp talons he notes, touches his forehead and he groans.
“Oh! Nova you’re awake. Don’t worry its me, Hawks. No one saw you I made sure of it. Oh wait hehe, sorry I forgot to mention I was following you..Not to be a stalker or anything! I just noticed you didn’t look well..”
“Not being a stalked I promise!”
Hawks looks even more nervous than before until he grabs a glass of water and helps Touya drink. He mumbles a weak, “thank you,” to the winged hero before shivering.
“Oh are you cold again? I hope you don’t mind but when I laid next to you it helped.”
Hawks laid next to him and his wings really did add to the winged mans already high temperature. “Its kinda funny. My quirk makes me hot but yours freezes you.”
Touya said nothing as he slowly warmed up. Hawks once again ruined the silence, “I saw the burns on your wrists and the quirk aides on your wrists..how long has your quirk hurt you?”
Touya held in a breath before trying to get up, Hawks was much stronger than he looked.
“You can’t keep going if this is what it does to you.”
“Fuck you.”
There was silence before Hawks pulled him closer, “is hurting your body really worth being a hero?”
“What else is there?”
Hawks said nothing as Touya stared into nothing, his chilling anger fading to empty sadness.
“I don’t have anything else..this is all I have to prove my creation wasn’t a mistake…”
“but it’s still not enough..i’m..its not enough.”
Hawks said nothing as he watched Nova silently cry with a broken smile.
He noticed Nova when he first debuted and since he’s had a crush on him. He knew from the beginning something wasn’t right but that didn’t stop his feelings. If anything it fueled them more.
Resting his forehead against Nova’s tear stained cheek Hawks wing presses further into Nova, “Find it with me.”
“Lets find our existence outside of hero work, together.”
The tears poured from Nova’s eyes faster and his smile slowly lowered until only his eyebrows were lifted as his head turned to the side of the pillow and cried.
For the first time in a long time, since the day he became a real pro to the fire on Sekoto Peak to the day he learned his body rejected his quirk.

You may call me crow anon
Idk how any of this worls as i recently joined tumblr
But can i pls ask for platonic dabi who comes looking for sister reader after she moved out years ago from the todorkoi house and only keeps contat with fyumi, natsuo and occasionally rei?
Idl man
HI I don't know Either but WELCOME TO TUMBLR, I hope you enjoy your stay. I will add you to my anon list on my rules for requests page and. I hope to hear from you again, and fun fact you are my first EVER anon so thank you, It's my pleasure.
ANNNNDD for the sake of the story the reader has pink hair.
warnings Dabi tries to commit suicide. and some swearing.
Tumblr media
RUN. do nothing but RUN.
RUN to find her. RUN to safety. RUN AWAY from the police.
Dabi's Inner monologue rang loud, louder than any other, louder than the sound of the police and the hero's trying to catch him. so, damn, loud.
Panting, the young 15 year old Dabi, who somehow managed to dye his hair and steal food for 2 years of his life, turned a swift corner into the alley way before jumping up to climb the fire shoot, it was now when it occurred to him.
(y/n) would not be happy to see the man you have become.
he froze for a second, scared, he did his best, he tried so hard to be a hero, a hero for his older sister, for she who believed in him when none else would, but it wasn't until the scorching pain of blood polling at his eye bags that he started to move again.
oh how he admired her, and her dreams of becoming rich, dreams of being someone other than their father daughter.
too bad they were broken down and beaten everyday.
too bad that Touya had to sit there and watch his darling sister, his one and only light, be dimmed and overshadowed.
it was worse he couldn't do anything.
it was worse he just could watch.
it was painful. even more so when at 16 she told him she'll be back soon, hugged their mom good bye, handed him a sheet of paper with the Words "We'll meet again" written in shabby hand writing, took the car and never cam back again, it wasn't for 4 hours at Touya realized something was wrong, it took Rei 1 day to notice something was wrong, it took 6 days for endeavor to notice, and 3 months before he actually started to care... that his car was gone. Fuyumi asked where "big sister" went, Enji never told her, and every time she would ask Rei, Rei would just burst into tears, eventually, Fuyumi stopped asking, Natsuo thought she was still at school, and Shoto simply forgot she existed. that year was the same year he faked his death, that was the year Touya Todoroki died, the day Dabi was born.
eventually he grew tired, the police had lost him, so had the heroes so why run when you're not being chased?
Dabi came to a stop, looking around before lighting a cigarette he stole from a convenience store sighing out the smoke, the hot smoke a huge contrast to the cool summer breeze, like you her kindness was a huge contrast to the rest of the family.
no one really acted right in the Todoroki household, their they were cold and brash, or had mental issues, most had daddy issues, and all should really go to therapy, she on the other hand was softer, kinder, a soul who needed helping but put the needs of other before herself. soft words, soft pink hair (a mix of white and red, odd since no-one else had pink hair.) and the most welcoming smile you ever saw.
she was always like that,
always such an angel.
Dabi leaned on the railing of the short building, smoking, reminiscing on memories of the past.
leaning too hard, and falling.
at this point it was intentional, how one to endure such horrors, who is the deity was cruel enough to taunt him by giving him the soul he adored the most and then ripping it right out of his hands?
it was a short fall, just as it was a short building, but he didn't land on concrete instead he landed on the dumpster.
greeted by the smell of dog shit, and the feel of soggy cardboard and black plastic garbage bags.
"the hell?" he whispered a sort of surprise that came to him as he realized this was not hell, but a smaller, stinkier, hell.
he was even more surprised when he realized he was not alone.
"oh dear! sir are you alright?!" a gentle voice yelled out, she was wearing a soft (favorite color) dress, and had the kindest eyes, that was the only way to describe her.
she helped him out of the dumpster, not even looking at his face.
just like (y/n) would
"hey, stay with me, we'll go to my apartment, just hold on tight."
she didn't even mind the smell of smoke on his T-shirt.
all he remembers after that is fighting, fight to stay awake, fight to thank the angel that is his savior.
then he remembers sinking into the soft cushions of a warm red or orange couch.
like fall, her favorite season. (sorry if you don't like fall)
then the angel came back, now is when she noticed the purple scorches, the piercing blue eyes, and the little white segments near the roots.
he was sure she was going to scream, he was sure she was going to run and flee, and call the police, but instead she carried on, gave him an ice pack, checked his temperature, check for any major wounds gave him some water.
nervously, she asked "I'm sorry to be asking this but are you by any chance a endeavor hater."
Dabi chuckled fighting back the blood from reaching his eyes this was her alright.
"(y/n), big sis," blood threatened to trickle down what was left of his cheeks.
poor girl, choked out a sob, scared to even embrace him scared he'll drift away like she drifted away from him, salty tears prickled the edges of her eyes.
"To-Touya," she gulped "I-"
she pulled him right toward her, holding him tight, just like she would when they were younger and Dabi had a nightmare and was scared, except now, Dabi was truly scared, sacred of both himself and the future, scared you would poof into vapor his arms if he hugged you too tight.
"I"M SORRY" she yelled out, letting her own tears fall.
that night was spent in a shabby apartment, that night was spent together, that bight Dabi promised himself.
I'm never letting you go, ever.
I TRIED MY BEST BUT IT WAS SHITTY ANYWAYS BYYEEEE

Okay But Imagine If Endeavor had a secret love child
(TW: Mentions of cheating, hints towards abuse, hints towards pregnancy)
Tumblr media
Okay so just imagine. Me personally, Enji Todoroki does not seem like a loyal man in the SLIGHTEST with his track record. Like I could definitely see him going to clubs and hooking up with people while on missions out of the country to let off steam because he has a wife who he doesn’t love, a son that is a danger to himself and doesn’t know what it means to quit, and two other children who are ‘failed experiments’
Enji is hella motivated to accomplish his mission to create the most powerful kid, HOWEVER, he’s still human. I think deep deep down he might want some form of true love and human connection. And that’s where /she/ comes in. The gorgeous woman that he meets in a diner one late night in America, while trying to get a decent meal after a hard mission. Any place that would even come close to having something that fits his meal plan is closed, but he knows he needs to eat. So this seemed like his best option.
He enters the diner, and it’s sorta dark and is cheap as all hell. He had half a mind to turn around and just starve, but the smell of something fried hit his nose and he gave up that thought quickly. He picked his own seat, a booth in the back next to a window that hadn’t been cleaned in a while. His hand touched something sticky on the table, and his lip curled in disgust. But that curl turned into a small ‘o’ as his jaw dropped, his eyes catching the waitress that was walking towards his booth. He was never a love at first sight kind of man, especially when he gave up such a silly concept long ago, but this was enough to make him get on his knees and praise Cupid. It felt like an arrow of warmth and desire had been shot through his chest. He had a fire quirk but nothing had made him feel so hot.
Rei and the kids were nothing but a distant thought all the way in the back of his brain stem when the woman approached his table. She seemed other worldly, tall and full and brave and soft. Something about her full curls and dark skin gave nothing less than goddess. There was so much to look at but there felt like so little time to take in everything she had to offer.
A soft clearing of her throat though brought him out of his stupor.
“Can I get you anything, sugar?”
The nickname made him blush, heat rushing to his face. It was a miracle his skin didn’t alight with his flame. “Yes- my apologies. Let me get, um,” here he was, sweating and stuttering like a school boy. Pathetic- he was pathetic. Before he could get truly angry at himself, she laughed, and the sound was like a drug.
“Here, you seem like you’ve been working hard. Let me get you a coffee and a proper menu, and I’ll come back for ya. Sound good?”
And all he could do is nod with a fry mouth, his face so hot he could’ve sworn his quirk was activated.
When she came back, she poured him a coffee, asking if he was from around while he browsed the menu. He said no, and told her of his hero work and his home in Japan. She listened with open ears and heart, finding herself sitting in the booth to listen to the scarlet haired man. She took the extra mug on the table, pouring herself a cup and loading it with mini creamers and sugar packets. It was a complete contrast to Enji’s own pitch black cup. But he didn’t mind. He honestly found it cute. He wondered if the sugar in the coffee was apart of what made the woman so sweet.
One cup of coffee turned to two. And that two turned to three with two waffle specials and a bowl of fruit to share. That ended up being a free meal for him and a ride home for her after her long shift. And the kiss at the door, well…you can guess where that led.
He left in the morning before she could wake, as he had a flight to catch by that noon. But he left her with a parting gift: his cell number and the large jacket he gave her when the night breeze got too cold.
Their affair continued for a while. It didn’t help Enji that Touya was putting himself in more danger, Rei seemed to be increasingly more difficult to deal with, and like her body got tired of the constant trying for his perfectly quirked child. And he knew it was wrong, of course he did, but when had that ever been enough to stop him? He began making up missions and lies, just to fly back across the sea to see his gorgeous waitress. And every time he left her a gift. A diamond charm bracelet, a new pair of shoes, a heart felt note with Godiva chocolates. And all she did in return was make him feel alive, like his life was worth more then it ever had been.
Six months.
It all lasted six months.
That was until he got the call from Rei, mid flight across the ocean, that she was pregnant. All thoughts of love and happiness and the small whisp of desire to leave his family behind and start a new one with his lover was erased. He had a feeling. This was it, his perfect child. He had the pilot turn the plane around, leaving his doll with one last parting gift.
The baby growing within her.
This time? He didn’t look back.

A little AU lore...
Tumblr media
"Your old man is going to lose it." Keigo chuckled as he watched Touya towel dry his freshly dyed hair. The snow-white locks were pitch black, and his white tee shirt was splattered with patches of purple that matched the scarred tissue covering the lower half of his face and arms.
"Like he'll even notice." Touya scoffed as he grabbed his guitar off the bed. "The only way Endeavor would ever pay attention to me is if I set the city on fire," he paused, a wide grin crossing his lips as he added, "or killed someone."
"Don't even joke about that, you psycho."
Touya played a few chords and laughed at the worry in his best friend's voice. "Don't get your panties in a bunch, Birdie. I've got a different plan in mind for the future."
🌟
Dabi read through the email he'd received a few minutes earlier from the band's manager. Their record label was putting together a tour; some big, fancy music festival that would travel the world over the span of a year. The details were being finalized, and Cremation had been invited to take part in the event.
A faint smile curled his lips as he turned and stared out the window of his penthouse apartment. The sky was dark, but the city was an ocean of colors: red and gold and bright white sparkling into the distant horizon. Maybe he hadn't become a hero like his father, but Touya Todoroki made a name for himself. And he did it on his own terms. Now, millions of people admired him, listened to his songs, and crawled over one another to buy his merchandise.
In a lot of ways, he'd surpassed Enji Todoroki, was living for it.
His phone rang, vibrating against the desk. He didn't need to glance at the screen to know who was on the line before he answered the call. "Hey, Birdie. I'm gonna guess you saw Compress's email."
Keigo chuckled. "World tour, huh?"
"That's what it says."
"Ever think we'd see the day?"
Dabi glanced at the display case in the corner of the room. A soft blue light illuminated the interior where a single guitar hung. It was just an old acoustic model, plastered with a collage of skulls and crosses. The brand name had worn off long before he ever touched it, but he never cared about labels anyway.
"Of course, I did. Everything worked out according to my plan."
A small blue flame lept from the palm of his hand. He watched it flicker as he listened to Keigo rattle off a list of places he wanted to visit during the tour. The bird's early childhood years  made him desperate to explore as much of the world as possible. Dabi's determination to succeed had almost as much to do with giving Keigo that freedom as it did with showing up his old man.
Now, all of their dreams were about to be realized on a scale he never dared to imagine.
"You're gonna run me ragged this entire tour, aren't you?" Dabi groaned as he extinguished the flame, but a grin stole across his lips. The social media opportunities would be limitless. So many chances to throw his fame in Endeavor's face.
"Didn't anyone ever tell you there's no rest for the wicked?" Keigo was laughing now, the excitement obvious in his voice.
Dabi chuckled, too. He'd strayed towards more nefarious paths when they were younger, considered actions that would have gotten him branded as something worse than "bad boy rock star". Somehow, Keigo always managed to drag him back in the right direction, kicking and screaming at times, but he was grateful for the support. Thinking about how things could have ended up without the bird made him cringe.
"Seriously, though," Keigo said suddenly, no trace of humor left in his tone, "I don't think I've ever thanked you."
"Thanked me? For what?"
"Are you kidding? For the music. The band. For making sure I didn't end up like my old man... Or yours."
"Like hell you'd - "
"Touya, shut up and let me finish. I'm just saying that my life could have gone a lot of different ways, but I'm grateful for where I ended up. I don't have a single regret about where I'm headed, and it's because of you."
Dabi was silent for a long moment, unsure how to respond. He glanced over at the desk and saw two new notifications on his phone. One was a text from Himiko, and the second was another email from Compress, titled "Please Review".
"If you're really grateful, you'll swear not to snore the entire tour. I need my beauty sleep."
"Don't change the subject. I'm trying to be vulnerable here."
There was a long pause before they both busted out laughing. Dabi sat back in his chair and took a deep breath. "We should go out and celebrate. My treat."
"Not gonna pass that up. Want me to invite the others?"
"We can plan something with them after we sign the contract. Tonight, we'll go haunt that little bar where we played our very first gig."
"You don't mean..."
"That's the one."
"No wonder you offered to pay."
The place was a small, hole-in-the-wall, dive bar where they'd played some gigs when they were still pretty young - too young to be in a bar - but the owner overlooked that little detail and paid them under the table. It was just the two of them in those days, but the money they made helped to pay for new equipment as their band and their popularity grew.
"You can pay then."
"Hey now, slow down. You were kind enough to offer, and it'd be rude of me to refuse. I'll let you pay."
"Sounds like a plan. You can pay when we take the rest of the band and Compress out to celebrate."
Dabi pictured the shift in Keigo's expression as he realized what just happened.
"Now wait -"
"Don't get your panties in a bunch, Birdie." Dabi interrupted, chuckling. "It was a joke. I'm gonna jump in the shower then hop on my bike and ride ovrr. Meet me there in an hour."

That Night in the Hot Springs
Chapter 3/3
Tumblr media
Pairing: Enji Todoroki x Reader
Genre: Enji Todoroki X Reader, ⚠️smut⚠️, fluff, angst, age difference, divorced Endeavor, ⚠️anime spoilers⚠️
Words: 3k
Summary: A divorced and hard-working Endeavor allows himself to lose his composure at the desire he feels for his young colleague. Yet, the flame hero did not count on the fact that what seemed to be just one wild night stand in a hot spring would lead him to fall madly in love.
A/N: This idea just kept popping up in my mind. In the end, it came out longer than expected, my bad, but if it's about Enji being soft and in love, I couldn't help but write a little more. Also, I was very excited to write about Endeavor after his wonderful character development. Why not give him a second chance?
🔥Prev. chapter🔥
Tumblr media
Chapter 3– Are you ready?
“So, you're not coming back to the agency? It's been a week already." Hawks had invited you to another beer after you told him everything.
"I don't know, I think it'd be better to find another place to work."
"Gorgeous, you're not gonna like what I have to say, but I think Endeavor was right not to let you go on that mission with that guy."
"Hawks, are you fucking kidding me?"
"Listen to me." He asked putting his hand on your shoulder.
“I heard some nasty rumors about that guy. Some days ago two intern girls left the agency and Endeavor suspected they were harassed by this guy. I don't think he was just acting out of jealousy, I think he was protecting you, in his own way. I mean, if he can't even stand ME teasing you, now imagine how he'd feel knowing you were away with such a person. He's bitter and bad-tempered, and you're right, every visit to Dabi makes it worse, but the big guy has a good heart and you'd have to be an idiot not to realize that he cares so much for you that he wouldn't hesitate to give his life for you.”
"I shouldn't have talked to you." You said covering your face.
“Don't get me wrong, I'm just saying that yes, he's jealous and possessive, but this time he had a point. Although he was a jerk and he shouldn't have offended you. I imagine that it mustn't be easy for him to keep going with this relationship. I mean, his public image has never been the best, he has improved, yes... but after Dabi, it has taken him a lot of work to recover a good name. I guess people will judge him for having a relationship with someone younger and from the same agency as him."
You kept silent listening to what Hawks was saying, it was something you had thought about many times, but when you tried to talk about it with Enji, he brushed it off saying that you didn't have to worry about it.
“Also, he has to deal with all those stupid men behind you. Guys of your age and with whom everything would be easier, Endeavor projects as someone self-confident, but I don't buy it."
That talk with Hawks got you down and worried more than you needed to.
Tumblr media
The next day, Endeavor had finished work and was looking out at the city through the windows of his office. He didn't listen a knock on the door or someone entering until he heard Hawks’ voice.
"Looking out that window isn't gonna make her come back." Said the winged hero crossing his arms.
"Get out of here!" Whirling away, Endeavor glared at his colleague; fortunately, Hawks didn't fear him; in fact, he saw Enji as his friend, so he was not affected by his countenance.
“You're famous for acting right on time, why are you taking so long in a job that concerns you and you care?”
"The other jobs have required me to act, I'm not sure this is the case." He responded by looking back out the window. “Sometimes you do more by taking a step back.”
"Pride won't get you anywhere, big boss."
"How the hell do you know so much?" To tell the truth, it didn't seem so farfetched that Hawks knew by being so close to you. "Also, it's not about the discussion, it goes beyond that."
“If you're so sure of your decision, why are you here looking out the window? End things head-on. Since when are you a person who doubts or hides?"
"I don't want to hurt her." Enji accepted. "Fuck, I tried so hard to make things right this time but..."
"And you did, I have no doubts you got it. But you need to make a decision."
Tumblr media
A couple of hours later than Endeavor used to get home, there was a knock on your door. For some reason, the hero hadn't felt free to use his keys and now you were in front of him. He looked more serious than usual, which didn't surprise you given the days had passed without speaking.
"Hi," You didn’t know how to act, you didn't know how sore he was.
"You haven't answered any of my messages or calls." He said as he closed the door behind him; despite his claim, he didn't see him upset, if not especially serious, something that didn't give you a good vibe. You knew how to deal with angry Enji, not this version he was showing you.
"I needed a little time."
“Well, I think enough time has passed. What are you gonna decide, are you still in my agency, or are you leaving?”
"That was what you wanted to know, that's why you're here." You can't help but let out a sad and ironic laugh. How could you think that he was there to talk about you two? He was right, you were a delusional girl.
"I haven't decided yet." You answer by sitting on a sofa. “But no matter what my decision is, I owe you an apology. I shouldn't have made an opinion or judged you. You're right, I'm immature and there are many things I don't know. Dabi's your son, it's logical that you continue to worry about him; after all, you're a good father, whether you believe it or not.”
“Don't apologize for that, I know why you brought it up, I was the one who didn't take it well. It's a sensitive subject. I know you didn't say it to hurt me, you were worried, but you also had the right to be upset, that hadn't been a good day and I took it out on all of you."
There was something in that apology that had you anxious. When Enji made a mistake, his apologies used to be accompanied by a caress, he would at least take your hand and pull you closer to him, but that night he just sat next to you and stared at the table in front.
“Now, although you didn't attack me, I did. I hurt you. I didn't think about it, it just left my lips."
"If it came out like that, it's because you did think like that."
"No," he said firmly. “It's not like you're thinking. I've never thought that you’re immature, your way of seeing things is something that I've always liked and it has made me feel good so many times. I don't know why I said something so different from what I think, I'm not going to excuse myself by saying that I was upset. I'm not used to sharing so much of my life with someone and you mentioning my son put me in a vulnerable spot. I'm sorry, I couldn't handle it."
“It won't happen again, I promise you. If I continue in your agency, I'll be more professional and I'll respect you, you're my boss, I have no right to claim anything from you." Endeavor shook his head negatively, that type of relationship was not something he wanted to have with you. Besides, he wasn't there exclusively to find out about your decision, he had only used that as an excuse.
“If you decide to stay and really want to go on that mission, go. I don't like that guy and I don't like seeing him around you, I won't deny it, but when I forbade you to go, it wasn't out of jealousy.”
Endeavor finally looked up and the first thing he saw was how the ruby he had given you shone on your neck, you never took it off. Later, he noticed your discouraged face, he even saw you thinner. He had arrived at your house convinced of something, or rather, he had forced himself to convince himself that you would be better off without him, but seeing you like this, added to how he truly felt, forced him to doubt everything again. Especially when you reached out and laid your head on his shoulder.
"I've missed you so much, I hate it when we argue, Enji."
"Kid, wait, I'm not done talking." Those words made you feel a cold in your body that didn't go away even by being at Endeavor's side. A few moments passed in which he sighed and for the first time, you saw him defeated. “I have thought a lot about us, and I think it's not fair for you to continue seeing me. What have I offered you so far? A secret affair? A relationship with a guy loaded with issues? You're young, the most beautiful, kind, and talented woman I've ever met. You deserve to have a normal relationship, go on dates, and not have to worry if your boyfriend comes home from jail after visiting his kid. It's not fair that you are wasting these years of your life by my side.”
You didn't lose sight of Endeavor's hands balling into fists and holding the fabric of his pants. You also didn't ignore the dark look on his face as he spoke.
"Enji, do you really want us to break up?" You asked with a lump in your throat.
"It's not about what I want, it's about what's best for you."
“You mean that if I tell you to break up, you're going to take it just like that? If I say yes, won't you care about everything we've been through all this year? Is it so easy for you to just turn the page?”
“Kid, don't make this more difficult! I'm trying to think of you and not me! It's hard enough, don't make it worse. I've been always a damn selfish man and I'm trying to change that because I truly care about you!"
“Do you actually think that the best thing for me is not to see you anymore? Enji, what do you think you mean to me?"
“Have you not seen how all the people who have lived with me have ended up? I don't want that to happen to you, I wouldn't be able to bear it if you ended up hating me."
Before the hero got up, you did, but to sit on his lap and take his face. "Enji, listen to me. I don't want someone my age, I'm not interested in going on dates either, the ones I have with you are wonderful. It worries me when you visit him because it’s so painful to see you suffer and not know how to help you, but if you would let me, I could help you. I'm not looking for what we have to go public either, but when the time comes, and if you feel comfortable too, I'll be happy to brag to everyone that Endeavor’s my boyfriend. Do you frankly want to think about me? So, stay by my side. Now, if what you want is to break up because our relationship puts a lot of pressure on you…”
"No!" He said immediately, he had even put his hands on your hips. "No, no! I don't want that, that's why it took me so long to tell you all this! How can I stop seeing you? At first, I thought that this need to be with you was because you drive me crazy, but it's not just that. I'm happy with you."
"Enji, I love you. No matter how complicated it gets, I promise I'll stay here next to you. If my staying at your agency complicates things for you, I can leave. I'd miss working with you, but I don't want to jeopardize everything you had worked for so hard."
"Kid, if I did anything right in my life, it was when I gave you my soul by welcoming you into my agency. Don't go." He begged with a sigh, totally in love with you. "And if you don't mind, we could change our plans a bit, let me take you on a date as you deserve."
"You're sure?"
"I never said that I didn't want to do it, when I tried to invite you, you said no."
“I thought you'd feel uncomfortable if people got close.”
"Fuck it, after all, I've never been a charismatic hero." He responded by making you laugh. "I love you too, kid." He finished before kissing you.
Tumblr media
A few weeks later, you waited for your boyfriend to finish going through some cases in his office. He called you to ask your opinion about something, but as soon as you walked over to read the papers, Endeavor laughed mischievously and spanked you making you jump.
"Enji!" You said with a red face and still feeling your skin hot from such a spank.
"Let's leave those papers for the assistant, I've already worked a lot for today." Taking you in his arms, he made you giggle as he walked over to the huge sofa he had in his office, he had bought it to have a comfortable place where he could be with you.
Eager to feel your boyfriend closer, you pulled him by the neck of his costume so you could finally kiss him. You loved when you had him on top of you wearing that because you could perfectly feel every muscle in his body. Also, you knew how to make him lose his mind thanks to the fabric that his costume was made of, and you did so when you sat on top of him and began to rub your body against his. Enji spanked you again, but this time with such force that you had to bite his lip to keep from screaming. You bit him so hard that he smirked as he sensed you had broken it and a little blood was coming out.
That night you were so desperate that without expecting anything else, you started to ride him. You didn't even take off his clothes properly neither yours, you just moved what was necessary.
You two were just as passionate, just as wild to make love, which was why Endeavor tipped his head back and ordered you to continue bouncing on top of him. He let you do what you wanted for a while, but his domineering nature led him to put you on your knees and let him take control. That night he particularly became obsessed with your ass and he spanked it so many times you were sure you would have bruises for days. Even so, every time he did it you felt a tingle all over your body announcing that you were close to coming. Endeavor wanted to see your face, so he laid you back down, then positioned himself on top of you, and as soon as he saw your eyes, he smiled.
“Oh, kid, what have you done to me?” He questioned bringing his forehead closer to yours without stopping moving, not so fast anymore, but deeper than before.
For the first time while making love, you received a hero's kiss on your forehead. However, before you could even process what had happened, Endeavor used the ace up his sleeve, the trick he kept when he wanted to make you reach the highest point of pleasure. He knew you so well that he quickly took covered your mouth with his hand to drown out the cry you gave when you felt how Enji warmed his cock a little more each time until it reached the perfect temperature. You implored him to continue until you felt that incomparable heat in your entire body. There was only one thing that could do it better, and you begged him to do it with your eyes, you asked him to come inside of you and he did it.
Nothing felt better than that heat running down your legs at the same time as you saw Enji's smirk from knowing that he had caused you so much pleasure to the woman he loved. He was also drenched in sweat and never missed the opportunity to look at your legs covered by him.
"You're amazing." You whispered lying on his body and kissing his chin, lips, and cheeks.
“I had something to tell you before you started all your sexual innuendo.”
"Oh, shut up! I didn't do anything, you just called me to help, and like the pervert that you are, you didn't resist." Enji let out a guffaw that rang throughout the office. That rarely happened and you would never tire of hearing him laugh. "Well, what were you going to tell me? "You asked closing your eyes and letting yourself be pampered by the handsome flame hero.
“Would you like to go home for dinner on Friday?” It seemed strange to you that he asked you something so trivial, after all, you always ate at home and you still hadn't agreed on your official date.
"Sure, love, we can prepare something nice." You replied.
“Kid, I mean my house. I talked to the boys and, well…”
"Wait, what?" Very messy and still agitated, you straightened until you were sitting practically on his hip. “Did you tell your kids about me?!”
"Shoto was the first to react and he asked me if it was you I was dating, Fuyumi got quite excited, and Natsuo couldn't believe that you had accepted to give me a chance." He commented with a frown, but you couldn't help but laugh. “I thought it would be more complicated, but they said that after almost 15 years divorced, it was time for me to try again, although they thought it'd never happen. So what do you say, beautiful? Ready to meet them? They don't talk much, but I promise you they are good kids, and they'll treat you well."
Still in shock that Enji was ready to take such a big step, you nodded your head and showed so much excitement, that your boyfriend laughed tenderly.
“Oh! And before I forget it, we have to put one more seat, Hawks threatened to leave the agency if we didn't invite him to dinner. So, I think we'll have a full house."
You immediately hugged your hero again, unable to believe that what started as a passionate night in a hot spring had ended like that. There was still a long way to go, but both were certain that you wanted to be together.
"I love you, kid." He told you again, assuring you that you were not dreaming.

Summary: Natsuo is your childhood best friend and long-time crush. But you've never taken the chance to tell him how you feel. What happens when the chance is almost taken from you entirely?
Tumblr media
“Hey, Y/n! Are you free tonight?” Fuyumi’s voice chirps through the static of the phone.
“Uhh, yeah. I don’t have any plans,” You reply. “What’s up?”
“Weeell,” Fuyumi drags, and you can tell she’s excited about whatever is going on. “I invited Shoto and his friends over for dinner as well as dad. Natsuo is coming over too! I thought I’d invite you since, y’know, you’re basically family. It felt wrong not to!” You chuckle at Fuyumi’s enthusiasm.
“Haha, yeah sure, I’d love to. But…” You hesitate. “Is it really a good idea to try and have dinner with Natsu and your dad? You said it didn’t go well last time…” You wilt off, the image of a teary-eyed Fuyumi as she described the disastrous dinner to you entering your mind.
“Ahh, yeah,” she mutters. “But, I’m hoping that having you and some other guests might make it less tense?” She says, though it sounds more like a question that a statement.
“I think you underestimate how much it’ll take to make things ‘less tense’.” You chuckle, shaking your head.
“Oh, come on! Natsu’s always a lot calmer when you’re around, maybe it’ll help!” You sigh softly at the sound of desperation in Fuyumi’s voice. Ever since you were kids, all Fuyumi wanted was a “normal” family. She would talk to you about it all the time. So would Natsuo, especially after Toya’s death. All they wanted was a loving family, but instead, they were left with a broken home. And Fuyumi was doing all she could to try and fix it.
“I’ll be there,” you affirm. Fuyumi squeals on the other end and you can picture the bright smile spread across her face.
“Awesome! Be here around 6, ‘kay?” She says. You both say your goodbyes and hang up. You grunt as you throw yourself back onto your bed, face buried in your pillows. Although you know it’ll be an awkward night, you’re still looking forward to seeing your childhood friends, especially Natsuo. With your busy school schedules, you hardly see each other anymore, despite being on the same college campus. You smile giddily, butterflies fluttering around in your stomach and chest at the thought of getting to sit down and eat with him.
Having Enji and Natsuo in the same room will be hard, but maybe dinner won’t be so bad.
Right?
Tumblr media
“Y/nnn!” Fuyumi exclaims as she throws her arms around you, squeezing tightly.
“Haha, hey Fuyumi!” You laugh, hugging her back. “Ugh, I’ve missed you so much!”
“I’ve missed you too!” Fuyumi grins, eyes scrunching from her bright smile. You pull apart and Fuyumi steps aside to let you in. You place a hand on her shoulder, using her for balance as you remove your shoes. “I’m so glad you could make it! Natsu’s already in the dining room if you want to join him. I’m almost done with food and the others should be here soon.”
“Okay!” You reply, placing your pair of shoes next to the others. You part ways, Fuyumi heading back to the kitchen and you to the dining room. You grip the handle to the shoji door and slide it open gently. Natsuo looks up from his phone at the sound of soft wood scraping wood, eye’s lighting up when he sees you in the doorway.
“Y/n!” He says, happy to see you. You slide the door closed before skittering over to him, falling to your knees and wrapping your arms around his neck. He wraps his arms around your torso, face digging into the side of your neck. You both breathe in deeply and melt into each other, tense muscles relaxing at each other’s touch.
“I haven’t seen you in forever,” You say, words muffled by your arms.
“You saw me last week,” Natsuo chuckles.
“I know. But it feels like forever!” You unwrap yourself from him to look him in the eyes only to look away immediately, blushing at the proximity. You push off him lightly, scooting yourself back to sit in your own seat. “I’ve just really missed you,” you say delicately, a slight blush still dusted across your cheeks. Natsuo looks at you with a sheepish smile.
“I’ve really missed you too.” A silence falls between you for a moment and you squeeze the hem of your shirt nervously.
“So, I was a little surprised when Fuyumi told me you agreed to coming over,” you faltered. Natsuo tenses and looks away from you, gaze focusing on the wooden grain of the table. “I know it’s hard for you, but it really does mean a lot to her.” you place your hand on his, grasping it gently. “Just- please… try to be civil. For her?” There’s a long pause, and you can tell he’s battling to find the words.
“I told Fuyumi I’d come for dinner… I’m not making promises to stay any longer than I have to,” he muttered, still avoiding your eyes. You sigh softly.
“Okay,” you conceded, not wanting to press the matter any further. “Thank you for still making the effort to come though.” The grimace on Natsuo’s face softens, and he nods. You turn at the sound of the door sliding open and are met with five faces, two of which were unfamiliar. You feel Natsu’s hand stiffen beneath yours and you give him an encouraging squeeze before letting go.
“They’re here!” Fuyumi walks in, the others following closely behind. Everyone shuffles around the table to take a seat, the awkward tension in the air already thick. With everyone placed, Fuyumi sits up on her knees.
“Let’s do introductions again,” she began. “I’m Shoto’s older sister, Fuyumi. I teach at an elementary school nearby.” She turns to you and Natsuo sitting beside her. “This is Natsuo, Shoto’s older brother. He’s currently in college.” Natsuo scratches the back of his neck and gives a short greeting. “And this is Y/n,” Fuyumi continues. “She’s just a family friend, but she’s so close we might as well be related. She goes to the same college as Natsu.” You give a shy little wave to the two strangers.
“Shoto, this is where you introduce your friends,” Fuyumi prompts, looking over to her youngest brother.
“Oh, right,” Shoto says. He introduces his two classmates, Midoriya and Bakugo.
“It’s nice to meet you!” Midoriya says enthusiastically, though a little nervously. Bakugo scowls at him. He clearly doesn’t want to be here. You catch the way Midoriya’s smile drops slightly and you know he’s noticed the tension between Natsuo and Enji. Fuyumi clears her throat.
“Let’s eat before the food gets cold! If there’s anything you don’t want, don’t feel obligated to eat it! I won’t feel bad,” she says. Everyone gives her their thanks before filling their bowls. As you all eat, Midoriya gives his praise to Fuyumi’s food, impressed by how good it is.
“I’m not surprised,” Natsu says. “Fuyumi’s been cooking for a long while since our housekeeper had a back injury.”
“You would cook too, Natsu,” Fuyumi injected. “We would take turns.” Shoto seems surprised by this and turns to his brother.
“Does that mean I ate your food growing up?” Shoto asks. Natsuo’s face twists.
“It’s possible, I can go overboard with seasoning though,” he answers. “Endeavor might have kept you from having it. He always did keep an eye on your diet.” He states, giving the man at the end of the table a glare. You hear Midoriya and Bakugo choke on their food.
“I supposed there is truth to that,” Enji acknowledged. Natsuo looks away with a frown. You drop a hand under the table and place it on Natsu’s knee, silently reminding him of your earlier conversation. Try to be civil. For her. Natsuo inhales deeply, returning to his food to finish the little bit left in his bowl.
“SO!” Fuyumi jumps, trying to recover from the passive aggressive interruption. “Shoto, what kind of food do they serve at the school?” She inquires. Fuyumi’s topic change only lasts long enough for Shoto to answer before Enji speaks again.
“Natsuo,” he says, turning to the white-haired man. “I’d like to try your cooking next time.” You look to Enji with slight surprise. You feel Natsuo take your hand, removing it from his leg before placing his bowl on the table with a clank. He stands up.
“Thanks for the meal sis,” he says, ignoring his father’s words. “I came like I said I would, but now I’m done.” He walks towards the door to leave.
“Wait, Natsuo!” Fuyumi pleads. Midoriya and Bakugo grunt in shock again.
“Wait a second!” You say, standing up yourself.
“I’m sorry, I just can’t do this,” he mutters before sliding the door closed behind him. An uncomfortable silence fills the room. You look down to Fuyumi whose eyes are welling with tears. You sit back down next to her, placing a hand on her shoulder as she quickly wipes at her face.
“Uhh, I’ll go ahead and start cleaning up now. Please, finish eating,” Fuyumi says, her happy tone covering up the pain twisting at her heart. She stands and starts picking up empty plates and dishes. You follow her lead, picking up whatever was unneeded. You follow Fuyumi to the kitchen, placing the dirty dining ware in the sink. You hear a sniffle and turn to see Fuyumi crying softly into her hands.
“I- I just want… I just want us to get along,” she cries. You walk over to her and wrap your arms around her, hugging her tightly.
“I know…” You whisper. Shoto walks in with more dishes, stopping short when he sees his sister crying.
“Is everything okay?” He asks concerned. Fuyumi quickly pulls away from you, sniffling more intensely and rubbing her eyes. She turns to her little brother with a smile on her face.
“Yeah!” She exclaims in her usual cheerful voice. Shoto walks to the sink, placing his dishes down.
“Everyone is done eating,” he says quietly.
“Thanks, Shoto,” you say kindly. The boy nods and walks back out of the room. Once Fuyumi has composed herself, the two of you walk back to the dining room to help finish cleaning up. Fuyumi insists that Midoriya and Bakugo not help, but they’re also adamant to lend a hand. When there’s only a little bit of clean up left to do, you catch Fuyumi, telling her you’re going to head out and try to catch Natsuo. She nods in understanding before giving you another tight hug.
“Thank you for coming,” Fuyumi wavers. You squeeze her even tighter.
“Of course,” You smile. “You’re my family too, you know.” Fuyumi chuckles at this.
“The sister I never had,” she says. You both laugh light heartedly before saying your goodbyes. You walk back to the dining room to give Shoto a hug and say goodbye to his friends as well. You walk quickly to the front of the home and throw on your shoes and jacket, hoping to be able to catch up to Natsuo. But you’re surprised when you open the front door and see the man standing in front of the home, looking up at the sky.
“Natsu?” You call. The man shifts his gaze over to you and gives you a faint smile.
“Hey. I thought I’d wait so we could walk back to campus together.” He breaks eye contact and scratches the back of his neck nervously.
“You didn’t have to do that,” you laugh gently.
“I know, but I wanted to,” he practically whispers. You smile at him and start walking.
“Thank you.”
There’s an odd silence resting between you as walk, both of you thinking about dinner but neither wanting to address it. Natsuo finally speaks up.
“I’m sorry for leaving, Y/n. I just… I can’t stand to be around him,” he seethed. You glance at him before looking back to the concrete pathway.
“You don’t have to apologize. I’m not upset,” You sigh. “Fuyumi was a little hurt though…” Natsu winced.
“I know,” he mutters. Another pause.
“Hey, Nat-” you cut yourself off when you see the paint lines on the street start to move, lifting from the pavement. Before you or Natsuo can process what’s happening, multiple strips of street paint are flying towards you.
“Watch out!” Natsuo shouts and pushes you to the ground. You grunt at the impact and push yourself onto your knees. You look up to see Natsuo hanging above you, wrapped and bound in dried, cracking paint.
“Natsu!” You cry. You hear a deranged chuckle come from the street and you look to find the source. Your eyes widen when you see a man dressed in striped clothing walking towards you, the same strips of paint tied to Natsuo wrapped around him.
“Hahaha, got you!” He says giddily. “Too easy.” Before you can say anything, the villain is bolting off, taking Natsuo with him.
“No! Let him go!” You yell. Without thinking, you chase after them, shoes pounding at the sidewalk. But it’s only a moment before you lose sight of them. No. What do I do? What do I do! You quickly pull your phone out of your pocket and search for the right number. The phone rings for only a second before a deep voice answers.
“Hello?”
“Mr. Todoroki! It’s Natsu!” You panic.
“What happened?” Enji questions. You place a hand over your eyes, trying to calm yourself down enough to explain.
“We were walking back to school and a villain attacked us. He took Natsu!” You hear the man inhale sharply on the other end.
“Do you know where they went?”
“I-I don’t. I tried to follow them bu-but I couldn’t keep up,” you stutter. There’s a sudden noise of tires squealing followed by muffled grunts and shouts.
“He’s here!” Enji says. “Y/n, go back to the house and wait there! I’ll handle this.” And with that, he hangs up. You stand there frozen in shock. You feel your eyes sting and your vision begins to blur. There’s a loud boom in the distance and you whip around to see thick, dark clouds of smoke. That must be them. You turn on your heels and sprint back to the Todoroki household, ignoring the burning in your lungs from both exhaustion and panic.
“Fuyumi!” You call as soon as you step through the front door. You run into the kitchen to find Fuyumi finishing up the dishes, putting away dry plates and bowls. The woman turns around, her face twisted in confusion.
“Y/n? What are you doing back here?” She asks with a giggle. Her expression drops when she notices the hot tears rolling down your face. She puts down the ceramic plates and walks over to you. “What’s wrong?” You press your cold hands to your face, trying to stop your tears.
“Na-Natsu… He-”
“Natsu? Did he do something?” Fuyumi asks, thinking her brother was the reason for your tears. She takes your hands away from your face, squeezing them comfortingly. You shake your head and take a deep, shaky breath.
“A villain took Natsu,” you whimper. Fuyumi freezes.
“What?” She whispers.
“We were almost to campus and a villain came at us. He took Natsuo and ran.” Fuyumi doesn’t say anything, she just stands in shock, gripping your hands in hers. “Enji said he saw them; he told me to come back here.”
“So, dad’s there… It’s okay! He’ll save Natsu and bring him back safely. It’ll be fine!” Fuyumi says, trying to suppress her panic. She forces herself to move, guiding you over the table by your hands. “Shoto and his friends are there too, they’ll help him!” She makes you sit down before walking to a cabinet and pulling out a box of tea leaves.
“I’ll put on some tea, okay? We can have some girl-talk. Just don’t freak out, dads got it.” Fuyumi says encouragingly, though it sounds like she’s speaking more to herself than to you.
The two of you sit at the table, teacups in hand. Fuyumi tries to distract you by telling stories from school, recalling all of the ridiculous and hilarious things her young students have done. And it works, for a while at least, soft giggles leaving your mouths every now and then. But, despite the laughter, both of your minds are still whirling with anxiety, every worst-case scenario being pictured in graphic detail.
Fuyumi glances at you, staring mindlessly into your cup, eyes focused on the swirling tea leaves left behind in the translucent green liquid. Almost an hour has passed and you’ve yet to take even a sip. Fuyumi studies your face, noticing that, under the expression of fear, there’s something else.
Frustration.
Fuyumi smiles and laughs softly, breaking you out of your trance.
“What?” You ask, puzzled. Fuyumi shakes her head gently.
“You really like him, don’t you?” Fuyumi asks, though her tone makes it sound more like a statement than a question. You blink, trying to push away your distracting thoughts for long enough to understand.
“What?” You ask again, even more confused now. The older girl laughs again, this time much more lighthearted.
“I’m talking about Natsu. You like him.” She states bluntly. You stare at her, completely caught off guard.
“I… I don’t know,” You mutter. But you do know. You have for a while. Ever since you were kids, you’d felt differently towards him. The silly childhood crush you had on him never really went away, but instead, continued to grow and mature as the two of you aged. You felt pride in being the person he could go to, and you hoped he felt the same about you. Whether it was sadness, anger, or even just needing to vent after a long day, you were each other’s first go-to.
You’re so grateful for the friendship you have with him. So grateful that you don’t know where you’d be without him. So grateful that you’re willing to do anything if it means he’ll always be in your life. Even if it means bottling your feelings for him and living with the painful, dull ache that tugs at your heart.
And yes, you were frustrated. Annoyed because you’d spent your whole life avoiding the feelings you had for Natsu. Discouraged because you’d naively told yourself you had all the time in the world to one day take the chance and tell him how you feel.
And now, that chance may be taken from you entirely. And you can’t stand it. Your gaze falls back to your now cold tea, hands gripping the fragile glass tightly.
“I think-” You begin to speak but are cut off by the sound of the front door creaking. You and Fuyumi stiffen, eyes locking. Was that the front door?
“Hello?” a familiar deep voice bellows through the halls, a tinge of concern evident. You both simultaneously let go of the breath you didn’t know you were holding, the warming sense of relief flowing over you. You jump from the table and dash to the door to see Enji standing in the foyer, Natsu behind him. Fuyumi lets out a sob and runs to her brother, holding onto him like he’s about to disappear.
“You’re okay!” She cries. Natsuo wraps his arms around her, a muttered “yeah” falling from his lips quietly. His eyes widen when he looks past his sister to see you standing in the doorway, heavy tears streaming down your face and your shoulders jerking in silent sobs. Fuyumi breaks away from him, wiping the tears from her eyes. “I’m so relieved.”
You walk over to him, unable to see the expression on his face for the blurry tears filling your eyes. You throw your arms around his torso, face pressing into his chest.
“I was so scared,” you whisper.
“I’m okay.” He hugs you back tightly. As you part, you subconsciously reach for his hand, taking his larger one in both of yours. Enji lets out a heavy sigh before turning to Fuyumi.
“Listen,” he starts with a solemn tone. “I already told Shoto and Natsuo. I know you’re trying to get things ready for your mother to be able to return home peacefully. We’ve placed that burden on you, but it’s too much for you to handle alone… Don’t worry about it anymore.” Fuyumi looks at her father with faint concern.
“I’m going to build a new house. It’ll be in a better location for everyone. Your mother will be discharged soon, you can welcome her home there.” He removes his shoes and makes his way into the house. “I apologize for the late notice, but you should start preparing to move.” Natsuo turns away and you catch the saddened, almost pained look on his face, and you squeeze his hand.
“Wait, Dad!” Fuyumi calls, her voice cracking. “What about you? Won’t you come with us?” She drifts off, almost hesitant to ask. There’s a pause before he answers.
“I’ll be staying here,” He replies bluntly. Fuyumi gasps softly and you wince, feeling as though you heard her heart break yourself. There’s another long pause of silence, the air slowly becoming thick with tension. Enji continues to walk down the hall. “Natsuo, Y/n, Kurumada is waiting outside. He’ll escort you back to school.” And with that, he leaves. The three of you stand there in silence for what feels like forever.
“You two should probably go,” Fuyumi whispers. She turns and gives you a smile, but you can see the small tears forming in her eyes. She walks over to you and wraps her arms around your and Natsuo’s neck, dragging him down to your level. “I love you guys.”
You and Natsuo hug her back, whispering “I love you too” in return. You all let go of each other and it’s only then that you notice you’re still holding Natsu’s hand, and you realize a part of you is almost afraid to let go. You say goodbye to Fuyumi and step outside into the cold, making your way to the car sitting outside of the wooden gate.
Natsu opens the car door and you shuffle inside, finally dropping his hand. The drive to the school is quiet aside from Kurumada’s occasional grumbled comment about “idiots on the road”. You have your head leaned against the window, lost in thought as you watch the street lights whiz by. You finally make it to the school and step out of the car, bowing to Kurumada in thanks before he flies off.
You and Natsu walk in silence to the dormitory. You flinch ever so slightly when you feel Natsu’s hand take yours but soon relax at the comforting warmth of it. You enter the dorm building, still hand-in-hand, coming to Natsuo’s dorm first. You both stop in front of the door, each waiting for the other to speak. A light gasp escapes your lungs when Natsu pulls you gently by your hand into his chest, large arms embracing you desperately. You feel tears slowly return to your eyes as you wrap your arms around him, pulling him closer.
“I was so worried,” you whisper, trying your best to hold back the sobs caught in your throat. “I was so afraid I might lose you.” Natsuo pulls you impossibly closer, placing a hand on the back of your head. The heavy cries you were trying so hard to keep back break through, tears soaking into his jacket.
“It’s okay. I’m okay,” He comforts. He holds you there for a while before pulling away just far enough to see your face. His wipes at your tears, thumbs tenderly stroking the soft skin of your cheeks, and he does so until they come to a stop. He smiles at you softly and runs a hand over your hair. “Try to get some sleep tonight, okay?” You pause for a moment before rolling you eyes with a small giggle.
“You’re crazy if you think I’ll be able to sleep after all of that,” you joke. Natsu laughs quietly. Another silence falls over you but this time it feels less tense.
“Why don’t you stay here tonight?” Natsu offers. You look at him, eyes slightly widened in surprise.
Sure, you’d shared a room, even a bed with him in the past. Being childhood friends, it was something that happened occasionally. But tonight? Something about staying with him tonight felt different. And yet, a part of you was still almost afraid to leave his side, as if he’ll vanish as soon as you do. You nod your head, wordlessly accepting his offer.
“Okay,” he says, taking your hand once more. He walks closer to the door and unlocks it, guiding you inside. You both take off your shoes and jackets, placing them by the door. Natsuo walks over to his dresser, digging through it for a moment before turning back to you with t-shirt and sweatpants in hand. “Here, it’ll probably fit pretty big, but its better than jeans, right?” He jokes, a genuine smile on his face. You giggle and take the clothing from him, muttering a thank you. You walk into the small bathroom to change.
When you come out you see Natsu, who is now in his own pajamas, sitting on the bed, surfing through movies on his tv. “I thought we could watch a movie or something. Your pick!” He says, and you notice that his usual calm-but-happy tone is returning. He lifts up the edge of the throw blanket he has hastily tossed over his legs and pats the empty spot next to him.
“Why does it feel like you’re comforting me more than I’m comforting you? You’re the one who got kidnapped after all,” You chuckle. You make your way over to the bed and sit down beside him, shoulders brushing, and you miss the brief look of nervousness splashed across the man’s face.
“Nah,” he waves his hand dismissively. “You being here is comfort enough for me!” You feel your face warm and you pull the blanket up to your cheeks in hopes of hiding your blushing.
The two of you scroll through the massive selection of movies, silently agreeing to avoid action and thriller type films. You’d both had enough action for one night. You eventually decide on a comedy drama, something lighthearted. You lean against Natsuo, your head just barely resting on his shoulder, and you feel him relax, a soft sigh leaving his lungs. About 20 minutes into the film, you begin to feel like things are normal again, the anxiety in your system finally dissipating. It’s just you and your childhood best friend, watching a movie like you used to do every weekend before your schedules got busy. Childhood best friend. Friend.
Fuyumi’s words come back to you suddenly. “You really like him, don’t you?” You glance at him, his eyes and mind completely focused on the film in front of him, entirely oblivious to the thoughts occurring in your head. Your eyes trace the outline of his profile and you drink in his every detail. His strong jawline, the swell of his lips, his sharp and angular yet soft and kind eyes. It’s at that moment that you know, it’s no longer some silly childhood crush. It hasn’t been for a while now. It’s something more serious, more mature than that. something that, no matter how much he frustrated you or made you sad, would never change.
And the thought that you could have lost him? It made you nauseous. You almost lost your chance to ever tell him what’s on your heart. And you won’t run the risk of losing it again. You turn your eyes back to the tv, yet your attention is no where near the events happening on the screen. You feel your heart start to pound and you ball your hands together in hopes of calming it.
“Natsuo,” you say, and you’re almost surprised he hears you considering how quietly you spoke. He turns to you with a soft hum in acknowledgment.
“Everything okay?” He asks when you don’t say anything, despite having called for his attention. You want to look at him, but the thought of saying what you’re about to say while looking him in the eyes is too much. So you keep your eyes trained on your hands. You squeeze your hands tighter and take a deep breath.
“I love you, Natsuo… I have for a long time, I was just too scared to admit it,” you confess. You feel the man’s gaze harden on you, but he doesn’t say anything, so you continue. “When that villain ran off with you, I was terrified that might be the last time I ever saw you, and I was so mad with myself for having never said anything.”
He still doesn’t say anything and you finally muster the courage to look over at him. But you rip your eyes away as soon as they meet his, a look you can’t quite decipher on his face. Embarrassment and anxiety take over as you begin to ramble, trying to make your confession not sound so serious.
“I know we’ve been friends for a long time and that’s probably all you view me as. I understand if-” Before you can get another word in, a hand is placed gently on the side of your head, guiding your face back to his. Next thing you know, there’s a pair of soft, warm lips on yours. You freeze for a moment, your mind being slow in processing what’s happening. And before you can, the warm sensation is gone and he’s pulling away. You look into his eyes with shock and only see love in his.
“I love you too,” he whispers. He grins brightly before it drops into a smaller, caring smile. You feel your body relax, any worry leaving immediately and instead replaced by those familiar butterflies.
“To tell you the truth, I’m not sure I realized just how much I do until tonight. A lot was going through my head, but one of the main things was realizing how much I love you and how I might never get the chance to tell you that.” He says all of this while looking you directly in the eyes with an expression he’d always kept hidden from you in the past. One full of deep love and care. “I’m so glad I didn’t lose the chance.”
“I love you, so much,” you say, feeling oncoming tears for what feels like the millionth time that night. But this time, they aren’t of pain. Natsuo looks at you, eyes soft and a blush across his face. He pulls you close, lips barely brushing as he speaks against them, cool breath fanning you face.
“I love you too. More than you know.” He presses his lips fervently against yours, his hand snaking behind your neck and your arms wrapping around his. You feel him smile onto your lips before laughing quietly, breaking your kiss. You pull away and place your forehead tenderly against his.
“What?” You ask.
“Your pulse, it’s really fast,” he states. You roll your eyes jokingly.
“I think that’s what happens when you kiss someone you like,” you quip. He chuckles and gives you a mischievous smirk.
“Why don’t we make it a little faster?”

Tumblr media
"(Y/n)! (Y/n)!" a voice calls out, waking her from her slumber. She recognizes the voice and slowly opens her tired, sleepy eyes, meeting his soft turquoise gaze brimming with excitement. The morning light filters through her windows, illuminating the smiling face of the red-haired boy who is jumping up and down with excitement.
(Y/n), still rubbing the sleep from her eyes, looked at Touya with a mix of curiosity and grogginess. "What is it, Touya?" she asked, her voice still carrying traces of sleep. With a gleam in his eyes, Touya eagerly extended his hand, flames dancing and flickering around it. The mesmerizing display of fire both fascinated and startled (Y/n). The warm glow illuminated the room, casting dancing shadows on the walls. "Look what I can do, (Y/n)!" Touya exclaimed, his voice filled with a mix of triumph and exhilaration.
The young (Y/n) was filled with excitement as she hopped off her bed. Her eyes reflected the same enthusiasm that shone in Touya's gaze. "You know what that means, right?" she exclaimed, her voice carrying a contagious energy. Touya, equally thrilled, nodded in response.
"I'm going to become a hero," declared Touya with unbridled excitement as they ran downstairs. Rei greeted them with a warm smile, reflecting a mother's pride. "Good morning, (Y/n)," she said with a gentle tone. "(Y/n) exclaimed, "Good morning, Mrs. Todoroki." She then turned to her mother and asked, "Mom, can we go to Touya's house?"
Her mother smiled affectionately at (Y/n)'s excitement and gently ruffled her daughter's hair. "Yes, you can go, but first you need to brush your teeth," she said, adding a practical touch to the excitement and grounding the moment in daily routines. (Y/n) was undeterred by the minor condition and responded with a quick nod and a promise to comply. "I'll be quick!" she exclaimed, already looking forward to her upcoming adventure with Touya. As Y/n and Touya walked toward the Todoroki residence, the air was filled with the infectious energy of childhood excitement. Holding hands, the pair made their way through the short distance between their homes, their laughter ringing through the peaceful neighborhood. The strong bond between Y/n and Touya was evident, strengthened by their shared dreams and youthful enthusiasm. Touya led (Y/n) to the Todoroki household's training room, where his father Enji Todoroki trained his powerful quirk. The room was filled with determination and the faint sounds of previous training sessions. It was scattered with various exercise equipment and training tools, indicating the intense regimen that took place within its walls. "Show me more," she exclaimed, her eyes shining with excitement. Touya, encouraged by her enthusiasm, cracked his knuckles and stepped into the center of the room. He focused, channeling the fiery energy within him.
He stretched out his hand with flames dancing around his fingertips, taking a deep breath. The room was bathed in an orange glow as the flames flickered and swirled in a mesmerizing dance. (Y/n) watched in awe as Touya displayed his budding quirk, captivated by the sight. As the flames grew more intense, his excitement increased. "I'm going to be the best hero," he exclaimed, the flames reflecting the fervor in his eyes. (Y/n) couldn't help but share in her friend's enthusiasm, her eyes shining with pride for her friend's newfound abilities. As time passed, Touya's dedication to training became more and more intense. But his once bright red hair gradually faded into a muted tone. (Y/n) stood by his side, supporting his aspirations with unshakable loyalty. However, as they delved deeper into the intricacies of his quirk, a grim reality surfaced. The very flames that defined his power held a dark secret - they burned him. Enji made a risky decision after discovering that Touya's quirk had unexpected side effects. Driven by his desire to surpass All Might and establish himself as the number one hero, Endeavor chose a different approach to reach his goals. Endeavor's decision to have more children was not motivated by a desire for family or fatherhood but by his relentless quest for power and dominance in the hero world. The Todoroki family became an experiment, with each child born with the weight of their father's expectations and ambitions. "I can't believe it, (Y/n)," Touya confessed, revealing the emotional turmoil within him. "I thought I could be the hero I wanted to be, but now he just thinks I’m a failure." There was a heavy silence in the room, with Touya's revelation being the only sound. His hair now almost half red and half white was ruffled and his eyes red from crying. She sensed the depth of his pain and offered a supportive presence, with her (e/c) eyes reflecting empathy. Touya continued to express his frustration and anguish, letting out a torrent of emotions. (Y/n) placed a comforting hand on Touya's shoulder, silently expressing solidarity. In that vulnerable moment, their connection deepened, transcending the boundaries of friendship. Touya, weighed down by his father's expectations, found solace in (Y/n)'s understanding presence. The revelation that Natsuo possessed an ice quirk, similar to his sister's, instilled a newfound sense of hope in the young boy. Touya was determined to prove himself and meet his father's expectations, so he began to train secretly. Driven by an unwavering pursuit of strength and a desire to surpass his limitations, Touya pushed his body to the brink. One day, while wandering around, (Y/n) stumbled upon Touya training at Sekoto Peak, the same location where his father used to train. The intensity of his regimen was evident, as he pushed himself beyond his limits. Flames danced around him, leaving burns and scars, reflecting the intensity of his inner struggle. Concerned for her friend's well-being, (Y/n) could not stand idly by and watch him self-destruct.
Approaching Touya with a gentle but firm demeanor, she pleaded with him to stop. "Touya, you're going to hurt yourself. This isn't the way to prove anything to your father," she urged her (e/c) eyes reflecting genuine worry. Touya, his breath heavy and his expression defiant, resisted her plea “I know my own body better than anyone”. The pain and frustration within him fueled his determination, blinding him to the toll it was taking on his body.
Despite his resistance, (Y/n) sensed the depth of his inner tempest. Calmly, she asked, "Are you in pain?" Her water quirk manifested, a gentle cascade of water droplets surrounding her hands. The soothing aura of her quirk was intended to alleviate the physical strain and offer comfort to her friend.
Touya, momentarily caught off guard by (Y/n)'s compassion, hesitated before admitting, "It hurts, but I have to get stronger. I can't be a failure." His words revealed the profound impact of Endeavor's expectations on his self-worth. (Y/n), understanding the complexity of Touya's emotions, continued to use her water quirk to ease his pain.
The day arrived when the youngest Todoroki child, Shoto, was born. His arrival marked a turning point in the family dynamics, as it became apparent that Shoto possessed the powerful combination of ice and fire quirks – a manifestation of Endeavor's long-sought desire for a child with a quirk capable of surpassing All Might.
For Touya, who had spent years grappling with the burden of being deemed a failure by his father, Shoto's birth brought forth a wave of complex emotions. Distorted by a mixture of envy, frustration, and a sense of inadequacy, Touya found himself caught in the shadows of his father's unrelenting ambitions.
When Enji discovered that Touya, his firstborn, had been training in secret, Enji's fury erupted like an uncontrollable blaze. The hidden flames of Touya's efforts, fueled by his desire to prove himself to his father, were suddenly exposed to the scalding scrutiny of Endeavor's wrath. Touya, struggling under the weight of his father's expectations, faced the searing intensity of Endeavor's disapproval. The clash between their ideals and aspirations ignited a metaphorical battle, the scars of which would linger long after the confrontation ended. (Y/n), once Touya's unwavering supporter, found herself caught in the crossfire. Concern etched across her features like gentle ripples on troubled waters as she witnessed Touya's relentless pursuit of strength, a pursuit that seemed to manifest in self-inflicted pain. Unable to stand idly by, she mustered the courage to voice her worries, gently suggesting that perhaps he should reconsider his path.
It was a delicate moment, framed by the soft glow of twilight that spilled into the room where they often found solace. (Y/n)'s voice, tender and laced with genuine care, carried her apprehensions. "Touya, I hate seeing you hurt yourself like this. Maybe... maybe you should consider taking a step back," she urged, holding his hand once again offering him much-needed relief with her healing ability, her eyes reflecting a blend of compassion and worry.
Touya, consumed by the intensity of his convictions, reacted with a fiery defiance. His turquoise eyes, mirroring the turbulent flames within, glared back at (Y/n) as if challenging her to comprehend the weight of his aspirations. "Why don't you understand, (Y/n)? This is the only way," Touya retorted, his words laced with frustration. The tension in the air crackled, the shadows cast by their conflicting emotions dancing on the walls. (Y/n) stood her ground, refusing to yield to Touya's anger, yet her concern lingered like a silent plea for him to reconsider.
The passage of years marked the silent progression of Touya's journey, unbeknownst to even his closest friend, (Y/n). The nature of his training had become a tightly guarded secret, concealed in the shadows that veiled his relentless pursuit of strength.
That winter as Touya entered the tumultuous phase of adolescence, the metamorphosis extended beyond the expected growth spurt. The once lanky figure transformed into a formidable presence, each sinew and muscle honed by the relentless dedication to his clandestine pursuits. Unseen by (Y/n) or the world at large, Touya's body underwent a profound transformation, a silent testament to the intensity of his training.
Puberty, with its unpredictable alchemy, unfurled another layer of change within the boy. The flames that danced within him, once characterized by their crimson hues, underwent a remarkable shift. As if touched by an unseen hand, they transformed into a vibrant shade of blue, a manifestation of the escalating intensity within. As the vibrant blue flames flickered and roared, a testament to the intensity of his emotions, Touya found himself overwhelmed by a surge of euphoria. The tears of happiness, unbidden and unexpected, traced a path down his cheeks, reflecting the kaleidoscope of emotions churning within.
For the first time in the solitude of his training, Touya glimpsed a glimmer of validation—a tangible manifestation of his growth and the burgeoning power within.
The resonant sound of knocks echoed through (Y/n)'s home, stirring her attention from the tranquility of her routine. With a curious expression, she opened the door to find the white-haired boy standing there, a playful glint in his eyes. "Hey, (Y/n)," he greeted, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. "Wanna come play with me and my siblings?"
Touya, caught up in the excitement of the moment, grinned as he prepared to kick the ball high into the air. However, the unpredictable nature of the game had other plans. Just as he swung his leg to send the ball soaring, a sudden stumble disrupted his balance. Touya found himself in an unexpected tumble, much to the amusement of Natsuo, whose laughter echoed through the air. Concerned, Fuyumi and (Y/n) rushed to his side. "Are you alright, Touya?" Fuyumi asked, her voice laced with a mix of worry and amusement. (Y/n), with a playful smile, joined in, "That was quite the dramatic fall. You didn't hurt yourself, did you?" Touya, despite the tumble, brushed off the embarrassment with a good-natured laugh. "I'm fine, I'm fine," he assured them, picking himself up. "Just got a little too excited, I guess."
"Hey, (Y/n)! Guess what?" Touya exclaimed, pulling her away form his siblings, a mixture of excitement and determination in his voice. Caught off guard, (Y/n) raised an eyebrow, a curious smile playing on her lips. "What's got you so fired up?" his grin widened as he leaned in, his voice barely above a whisper. "I've been training in secret, getting stronger every day. You won't believe how much progress I've made!"
The revelation sparked a twinkle of excitement in (Y/n)'s eyes, but concern quickly followed. "Touya, training in secret? Are you sure that's a good idea?" The boy chuckled, brushing off her concern with a confident wave of his hand. "Trust me, (Y/n), I know what I'm doing. And when I'm strong enough, I'm going to tell Dad. He's always busy, but when he has a day off, I want him to see how much I've improved."
(Y/n) couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions—pride in her friend's determination, but also a sense of worry about his physical health. She placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder, meeting his gaze with sincerity. "I believe in you. If this is what you've set your mind to, then go for it. But promise me you'll be careful, okay? You don't have to carry everything on your own."
Touya's expression softened, appreciating (Y/n)'s concern. "Thanks, (Y/n). You're always there for me. I'll make sure to be careful, and when the time is right, I'll show Dad what I can do. I want to make him proud. And once I do, I want to show you next."
(Y/n) woke up early in the morning, excited to pay a visit to her dear friend Touya. However, as she approached the house, an unexpected scene unfolded before her eyes, shattering the tranquility she expected. Touya, with a determined look on his face, was running away from the house with all his might. The anguish and despair etched on Rei's face caught (Y/n) off guard and held her back for a moment, frozen in shock. Rei's voice broke the silence, strained with desperation and fear. She begged Touya to stop and come back, but he didn't seem to listen. His eyes were fixed ahead, and nothing seemed to stop him from his mission. (Y/n) felt a sense of confusion and concern, wondering what had happened and why Touya was acting so recklessly. (Y/n) watched as a heated exchange between a mother and son unfolded before her very eyes. The son was fueled by frustration and resentment, and he was lashing out at his mother. Tears were welling up in Rei's eyes as she pleaded with her son to stop doing this to himself. "Touya, please! You can't keep doing this to yourself!" she begged. But the boy was inconsolable, blaming his mother for his very existence. "You're the reason I turned out like this! You and Dad!" he spat out, his words cutting deep into Rei's heart. Seeing the painful sight, (Y/n)'s (e/c) widened, and without a second thought, she ran up to Rei, to offer her support. (Y/n) felt the weight of the emotional turmoil that enveloped her. "Mrs Todoroki, what's happening? Why is Touya so upset?" she asked, concern etched on her face. Rei, her voice choked with tears, gestured toward the retreating figure of Touya. "He's been training in secret, pushing himself to the limit. Did you know this?" As (Y/n) froze at Rei's words, she could see the pain etched on her face. With a pang of guilt, she lies shaking her head. At that moment, (Y/n) felt a pang of empathy for Rei and a surge of worry for Touya. She wanted to help him in any way she could. "I'll go after him. I'll try to talk some sense into him," (Y/n) said. Rei nodded, her eyes pleading for (Y/n) to reach Touya before it was too late. "Please, (Y/n), bring him back. I can't bear to see him hurt like this." Her voice was trembling as she spoke, and (Y/n) could see that the worry and stress were taking a toll on her.
The desperation in her heart matched the rhythm of her breath as she searched for him everywhere. The vivid image of Touya running away, fueled by resentment and pain, lingered in her mind, intensifying her fear for his well-being. Unable to shake off the sense of foreboding, (Y/n) instinctively thought of the one place Touya had mentioned before – Sekoto Peak.
Its silhouette etched against the horizon. (Y/n)'s breaths came in ragged gasps as she ascended the final stretch, the urgency pushing her body to its limits. The once-vibrant forest surrounding the peak appeared ominous, the trees standing like sentinels to a tragedy that might unfold.
Her heart pounded in her chest as she reached the overlook, and what she saw paralyzed her with shock. Flames raged, devouring the life of the forest that had once been a testament to nature's beauty. The crackling of the flames echoed in the eerie stillness, and the acrid smell of smoke filled the air.
She called out Touya's name, the desperation in her voice echoing through the fiery chaos. The only response she received was the crackling of flames and the haunting silence that followed. Fear clenched her heart as she imagined the worst. With tears streaming down her face, (Y/n) gathered her resolve. Her water-controlling quirk now became her only hope. She approached the edge of the inferno, her eyes scanning the burning landscape for any sign of Touya.
Summoning her quirk, (Y/n) created a protective barrier of water around herself, shielding her from the intense heat. With determination in her eyes, she ventured into the flames, navigating the scorching terrain in search of her friend. The once-familiar paths were obscured by smoke and embers, making every step a perilous journey. As (Y/n) pushed forward, the heat seemed to intensify, and the cries for help became more pronounced. She gritted her teeth, pushing through the pain and fear, fueled by the singular goal of finding Touya.
Her mind raced with thoughts of their shared memories, the bond they forged over the years. "I can't lose him. I won't," she vowed silently, determined to reach Touya and bring him back from the heart of the blazing turmoil.
She ventured deeper into the heart of the blazing inferno on Sekoto Peak, the heat proved to be an unrelenting adversary. Her water barrier, initially a feeble shield against the intense temperatures, evaporated rapidly, leaving her exposed to the flames.
The air was thick with smoke, making each breath a laborious effort. Dehydration set in swiftly, her throat parched, and her limbs growing heavy. Determined to find him, (Y/n) pressed on, squinting through the smoke and flames as she strained to see through the chaotic haze. The silent cries for help echoed in her ears, urging her forward, despite the growing weakness in her body.
The once-vibrant forest had transformed into a nightmarish landscape, the crackling flames devouring everything in their path. (Y/n)'s resolve wavered for a moment as the reality of the situation sunk in. The inferno had become an unpredictable adversary, and her water-controlling quirk was proving to be insufficient against the overwhelming heat.
The scorching air sucked the moisture from her, leaving her feeling disoriented and vulnerable. Each step became a test of endurance, the fiery terrain challenging her both physically and mentally. Sweat-soaked and drained, (Y/n) pressed forward, fueled by the unwavering determination to find Touya and bring him to safety.
As she moved through the raging blaze, the intensity of the heat increased, and the signs of dehydration became more pronounced as she couldn’t produce anymore water from her body. Her vision blurred at the edges, and her movements became sluggish. Yet, the silent pleas for help spurred her on, refusing to let despair take hold.
An idea sparked in her mind, a desperate and risky one. With a gritted determination, she halted for a moment, glancing around at the towering flames. Realization dawned upon her—she needed something more potent, something that could overpower the relentless fire.
In an act of sheer resolve, (Y/n) clenched her teeth and bit down hard on her hand. Pain shot through her as the metallic taste of blood filled her mouth. She winced, but the crimson liquid began to flow, dripping onto the scorched ground below.
With a trembling hand, she began to manipulate her blood with her water-controlling quirk, forming a makeshift mix of blood and water. A shiver ran down her spine as the eerie combination materialized, creating a dark liquid swirling with both elements.
Summoning all the strength she had left, (Y/n) flung the concoction toward the encroaching flames. The blood-infused water exploded upon contact, creating a sizzling reaction as steam billowed up. The fire, momentarily subdued, gave (Y/n) a narrow window to push forward.
But she couldn't afford to celebrate. The effects were temporary, and the flames hungered for more. She continued to pursue Touya, her determination now fueled by this newfound strategy. The makeshift weapon of blood and water became her lifeline, a risky but necessary measure to navigate the blazing labyrinth.
The silent cries for help grew louder, urging her forward, as if the forest itself was imploring her to succeed. As (Y/n) moved deeper into the heart of the inferno, the struggle against the relentless blaze intensified. Each step, a delicate dance between survival and the unforgiving elements, became a testament to her unwavering commitment to reach Touya.
The flames, momentarily subdued, roared back to life with an unquenchable vengeance. Exhaustion weighed heavily on her, and the toll of blood loss began to manifest in her weakened state.
Her steps, once fueled by determination, became unsteady as the inferno closed in around her. The dark landscape, illuminated only by the dance of flames, blurred at the edges of her vision. The cries for help, both imagined and real, reverberated through the smoky air, a haunting symphony that added to the disorienting chaos.
A wave of dizziness washed over (Y/n), and she stumbled, her limbs heavy with fatigue. The ground beneath her felt unsteady, as if the very earth itself was rebelling against her desperate journey. Blood loss, coupled with the scorching heat, weakened her resolve, and she knew she was reaching the limits of her endurance.
As she pushed forward, the once vibrant forest now reduced to ashes and embers, (Y/n) felt a sense of hopelessness creeping in. Her quirk, usually a source of strength, had become a double-edged sword, draining her both physically and mentally. The darkened silhouette of Sekoto Peak loomed ahead, a cruel reminder of the challenges she faced.
As (Y/n) pressed on, the once-lively forest reduced to ashes, hopelessness gripped her. Her quirk, a usual strength, now drained her physically and mentally. Silhouette of Sekoto Peak loomed, a cruel reminder.
With labored breaths, (Y/n)'s movements grew sluggish. The ground trembled beneath her, or her faltering stability? Summoning more blood-infused water proved demanding.
A low groan escaped her lips as exhaustion tightened its grip. The blood-soaked ground swayed, the world blurred. Flames, once fierce, now painted agony.
(Y/n) collapsed to her knees, vision spinning. The inferno closed in like a hungry predator. Haunting whispers of cries for help echoed, mingling with crackling flames.

Love Story (Taylor's Version) || Todoroki x Reader
Song: Love Story (Taylor's Version) by Taylor Swift
Part of my Song Fic Series! Requested by @trashpotatoess
Tumblr media
The ball room music echoed through out the castle, four large men in armor were surrounding you. The music paused as the large golden doors were opened, the guards allowed you to step forward and bow to the room of nobles.
"Now presenting, Princess Y/n of Hosu!"
Everyone bowed back to you. It was a uncomfortable experience to have everyone gazing upon you. The music resumed, you made your way to the refreshment table. A small pink cupcake caught your eye, before you were allowed to eat it, one of the guards must inspect it and eat a bite themselves. Once it was cleared, you try your best to take a graceful bite. Stupid royals with their stupid elegance and manners.
As you look up, you make direct eye contact with a boy. His hair is split red and white, a dark red scar covers one side of his face. He smiles and brushes his top lip with his finger, signaling to you about the frosting that's there. Your face warms as you wipe your upper lip, being careful not to mess up your makeup.
Shoto Todoroki, the youngest son of King Enji Todoroki and Queen Rey of Musutafu. Enji was your fathers most trusted ally while also being his biggest rival. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
Later into the night, the ball is still raging on. You grew tired of the formalities and the tight gown you are forced to wear. You stand on your balcony, the cold night air leaves goosebumps on your skin. The rose bushes ruffle from down below. Red and white hair pops out, his heterochromic eyes gaze upon you.
"I was wondering where you snuck off too princess." He bows to you
"Please, no formalities. My name is Y/n." You smile, your little thirteen year old heart flutters as the boy chuckles.
"As you wish, Y/n. I'm Shoto."
The conversation continues, he slowly makes his way to you, climbing the trellis that leads to your balcony. He leans against the balcony as he tells you of how this is forbidden, you and him are not suppose to talk. It was a part of your fathers friendship and verbal contract. The reason why? Your fathers were convinced that it would over through either kingdoms.
He slips away into the night when its getting late and he hears his fathers deep call for him to return to him and his mother. This would not be the last you saw of him. It can't be.
Five years, that's how long you and Shoto were friends and managed to keep it a secret. Feelings had been blossoming since that very first night.
It was the night before your eighteenth birthday, tomorrow your father and mother would pick who you would wed.
A small click noise came from you window, with soft foot steps you made your way to the balcony. The night was cold, causing you to shiver. There he was in all his glory, Shoto.
"Shoto! What are you doing here?! You weren't suppose to be here till tomorrow!" You giggle quietly as he crawls up the trellis like he does every time.
"I couldn't wait, I snuck out to see you. I can't let you go through tomorrow without knowing how I feel, Princess."
His hands cup your cheeks and without realizing it, you nuzzle into his touch.
"I love you." He whispered as his face is centimeters from yours.
"I love you too, I don't want to marry who my father picks, I want you." You whisper back before closing the distance. His lips are warm against your own.
"Y/n?!" You jump back from Shoto as your father enters the room and yanks you apart
"Father! It's no-"
"No! Your father will hear about this! You will stay away from her at once!" Your father hisses at Shoto. The two of you try and hold on as long as you can before your father drags him from the room. Tears fall from your eyes as the love of your life is ripped away.
That night at the party, you both sneak out to the garden, a deep red cloak is tied around your shoulders, the hood is pulled up to conceal your face.
His hands grab yours, he leads you to sit at the fountain.
"Lets run away!" You whisper, the music from the party carries outside to your secret rendezvous.
"Y/n, listen.."
"No Sho! We can run away, find somewhere together, leave all of this behind, just be you and I, forever!" You grab the blue and gold overcoat he's wearing in your hands. His eyes search yours, he can see and feel the fear that is radiating off you.
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a ring.
"My darling, my love, my sweet princess. Marry me. We can be together forever. I've never experienced love before, but I know that I love you. I've spoken to your father and mine. I requested your hand in marriage as long as we do nothing to harm our kingdoms and we merge them. They agreed. I can't wait to see you in a beautiful white dress, my love." He smiles as he watches your face go through the emotions. He gently removes the hood you're wearing before placing the ring on your finger.
"Y/n?"
"Y/n?"
You were shaken from your book. You blinked a few times before looking up. A certain red and white haired boy stood in front of you.
"Romeo and Juliet? Tragic." He smiled before reaching a hand to you to help you from your spot underneath the tree.
"Not my romeo and juliet, it ends on a sweet note." You hum and take his hand while you close the book, pretending like you weren't just envisioning you and your boyfriend as the books main characters.
"Oh? Tell me." He hums softly before kissing your cheek and walking you to your next class.

How would you describe how the Todoroki siblings with each other is like? Well how do you see it based on your view and how you would write it
so to preface all this: these are all just my own opinions and feelings on what i've understood of their relationship with one another !! you may not agree, and that's okay, too !! i could easily have misinterpreted chapters/scenes/information in the manga, and have based my thoughts on inaccuracies, and could be totally wrong about all of this — but you asked, so here's what i think :)
i want to start by saying that i don't really have any particular or special thoughts about how fuyumi + natsuo + shouto view one another. i think there was a debilitating void in fuyumi and natsuo's life after touya for at least a few years, and i think shouto would have been too young to have been as affected by his "death" as they would have, and so i believe that would set them apart in that regard. there is also the fact that enji was hard-wiring shouto to be a hero for a large portion of his life, and i think there would have been some tension between the three of them because of it. shouto never really got to be the "little brother" he should have been, but i like to think that, where we are in the manga right now, they've become a lot more well-adjusted to one another.
now let's talk about touya LOL
Tumblr media
i think natsuo and fuyumi both carry a heavy guilt comprised of, "if i had done xyz different, maybe this wouldn't have happened," when it comes to their oldest brother, but i think it weighs on natsuo the most. it was purposely and explicitly shown that touya tried to lean on natsuo, at one point, and was blatantly ignored — which i don't blame natsuo for, bc he was just a child — and i think that shows especially in his animosity towards endeavor. natsuo is so, so, so angry at enji, todoroki-angry, and i think he's just as angry at himself for not being there for touya more.
i like to write their relationship as very — bro-like, if that makes sense LOL yes, i stand by what i said about fuyumi being touya's best friend, but natsuo was his first brother, and there is just something about brothers, you know ?? i think in a circumstance in which they are together — au or canon — touya will always be the "cool" older brother that natsuo admires and wants to be best friends with. i imagine them like little partners-in-crime, little mischievous boys that snooped around in things they weren't supposed to — and i actually could see a universe in which natsuo becomes a villain also, once dabi reveals himself as touya. as in like an atonement way; he wasn't there for him then, but he'll use his anger to be there for him now, sort of idea. not that i think that would ever actually happen !!! but out of the three other todoroki's, natsuo is who i can see doing it.
i would give up my firstborn to know what fuyumi and touya's relationship would look like post-war (assuming...👀). maybe i'm projecting because i had an older brother, but i view their relationship when they were younger in such a soft light. let me tell you something !!!! fuyumi came into the world being loved by him !!!!! and came into the world loving him !!!!! because they were BABIES !!!! and were each other's first BEST FRIEND !!!! i will stand on this hill until i DIE !!!! yes, i think touya pulled her hair and spit in her milk and wiped his boogers on her — but there was a time before his quirk manifested where it was just the two of them in the playpen, know what i mean ??? and i don't think that's something you can just erase !!!!
i think she has a lot of guilt, too, and i think she was affected so, so deeply by his "death". whereas natsuo turned his grief into fury at his father — i think it really means something that fuyumi does not hold the same resentment. i really can't imagine what it would be like for her to lose him, bc i really can picture them being so close, and i imagine it would have been like losing a huge part of herself. everything she did in life — she must have imagined touya beside her: celebrating birthdays and middle school and learning to drive and all the things they could have done together, bc they were so close in age. she was a lot like their mom, i think, when it came to worrying about him, which i think he probably viewed as annoying at the time, but i bet he would have missed it so much when he was on his own. i hc her as a lil know-it-all LOL and i can imagine touya being alone and scared and wishing, for just one minute, that he could listen to her nag at him one last time, just so he would know what to do or how to survive, because i think he probably trusted her wholeheartedly.
oh my god, and shouto. i actually — can't decide what i think touya's views on shouto are. i can believe the concept that he completely hates and resents him, and i can also believe that he was afraid for his littlest brother and felt bad for him, when they were younger. i guess i think it was both. that naivete and sort of innocence we all love about shouto: i think he genuinely wants to know his brother. i think he genuinely wants to have another sibling to interact with, to be able to trust, someone who understands what it was like to grow up in that household. he didn't get that comfort when he was younger and i'm sure he relishes in it now that he gets it — and i can see him wanting to have that bond with touya.
and i think touya honestly views shouto as a stranger, because — it's always been about endeavor, hasn't it ?? yes, touya had strong feelings for shouto and wanted to kill him during the war — but it was all to harm enji in the end. when shouto was born and touya came to learn that this was what his father had always wanted — yeah, i think he was furious and jealous, because his brain had been entirely warped at that point into thinking attention from dad = worthiness. so he hated shouto — because of endeavor. i don't think touya really has had the mindset or stability to think about shouto outside of their father, and so i don't think he has any honest-to-god genuine feeling about him. i think shouto is just an unknown to him.
i love all the au concepts of shouto being the little brother that tries to pal around with him all the time 🥺 it's my favorite, and i wish it was canon so badly LOL i — honestly have a hard time writing shouto and touya in ptmy, because their relationship is so strained and so distanced ??? i think touya wants to hang onto his hatred for shouto because it's all he's ever known for his youngest brother ?? but i could believe that, deep in his heart, he just looks at him and thinks, "poor bastard 😒" bc if anyone can truly, honestly relate to shouto — it's touya. the abuse wasn't on an identical level for either of them, but they were both groomed by the same hand for the same reason.
i can see him getting along the easiest with fuyumi, bc i think their relationship is just like a natural back and forth. it's teasing and a little mean but also can be understood without words: it's big brother and little sister. i think he gets along best with natsuo though, because natsuo wants to be friends so bad LOL and i can see them sitting outside in lawn chairs, drinking beer and talking shit about — anything LOL and natsuo is having a great time. i think he doesn't feel like he can open up to him as much as he can with fuyumi, though, and i honestly don't think natsuo would know what to do if he did, despite how much he wishes touya would open up to him.
and shouto — i just don't know how i picture them. idealistically, sitting together on the curb, maybe, mostly in silence. shouto's fine with it, because he's not uncomfortable in silence — which touya finds SO WEIRD — but then shouto probably monotones a stupid, dumb comment about their dad that only touya would get, and makes him laugh and — everything is okay, for the moment 🥺
i don't think this directly answered your question about how to write them LOL but !! this is the jumbled mess inside my head, and i hope it gave you a little bit of insight !!

A Girl Worth Fighting For [Enji] (Fluff)
(One-Shot 5/? in a collection of My Hero Academia one-shots posted regularly on Saturdays.)
Read on AO3.
Tags: Enji x OC, Endeavor x OC, Enji Todoroki, Endeavor, Enji Being a Good Papa, Expecting OC, Expectant Parents, OC Cleans the House and Rocks Out, Also There's Cat in This Story
Word Count: 1,142 words
Summary: After a long day of cleaning and taking care of the Todoroki estate, Ichijiku falls asleep. When Enji returns home, she finds that he’s brought her inside so she doesn’t get sunburnt.
Author's Note: From what I've seen, Enji isn't exactly a favorite among the fandom, but I'm a sucker for a redemption/atonement arc so he's one of my favorites. Of course I had to write some cute fanfiction for him! I hope it's as fun for you to read as it was for me to write it!
Tumblr media
Ichijiku (Tigress)
Imagine Dragons blasts through the speakers as I dance through the kitchen with my broom. With the house to myself, I don't have the fear of being judged for the way I twirl around and wiggle my hips to the rhythm.
"You are my Monday, you're the best day of the week..." I belt the lyrics, not even caring that I mess up half of them as I grab a few snack wrappers from the counter to toss.
The soft sound of my cat's indignant chirp interrupts my singing session as Fauna hops on the dining mat. Her orange eyes blink up at me expectantly.
"Beaaan! You know the rules. Come on, off the mat." I set my broom aside and shoo her away. "Are you hungry? Huh? Is that it?" I could have sworn I just filled her food bowl.
Sure enough, when I reach her food bowl, it's nearly full. I crinkle my nose at her and pick her up, giggling at her unimpressed expression as I pet her back.
"You silly baby, you still have food and water!" I smother her in kisses, inciting her to flick her tail around. "You brought this on yourself, you know. I don't know what you want! Would you like a treat? Do you want to play?"
She just mewls and wriggles, trying to escape. Thus sure she doesn't want cuddles, I offer her a treat before setting her down and then pulling out her favorite string toy.
After a few rounds of unleashing my inner creature of prey for my cat's entertainment and we're both pooped. I giggle and scratch her ears before leaving her to sleep in favor of brainstorming a plan for what needs cleaning next. In the meantime, I send Enji a text.
I miss youuuu! It reads.
I pocket my phone, looking impatiently at the front door. He's never early on Thursdays, but a wife can dream. I wait a moment or two before sighing and turning my attention to the window looking into our massive backyard. Everything seems clean at least. I don't know that there's anything else to do for today except to start dinner whenever Enji replies.
Outside, sunlight paints our Pagoda tree in heavenly light. Our two Sakura trees arch up in a protective shroud around the water fountain and bird bath. Flower blossoms, vibrant and lively, reach up to the sky for their energy and nourishment. With my ice quirk, feeling the warmth of the sun in the garden is the closest I get to Enji when I miss him.
I smile, padding into the bedroom to grab my most recent book. After stopping by the closet to get my eno, I head outside and string it up. As expected, the sun shrouds me in the warmth I miss from my husband as my phone vibrates in my pocket.
I'll be home soon. Is Enji's response, making me grin and tuck further into my hammock, now able to more fully focus on the story in my hands.
I make it through two chapters before I yawn in the summer heat. Slipping a bookmark between the pages, I turn on my side and close my eyes. Just a little relaxation and hopefully it'll be time for Enji to head home.
. . . . .
Warmth still blankets me when I open my eyes again, but instead of laying in my hammock, Enji cradles me in his arms. I blink and yawn up at him, noticing his damp hair and blue eyes first and foremost while my dreams skirt the edge of my mind and flutter away.
"I'm sorry you found out this way." I whimper involuntarily, before realizing I've said it and rubbing my eyes to hide my blush.
"I've returned home, Ichan. Did you rest well?" He leans over and kisses my forehead, thankfully dismissing my sleepy outburst.
I relax my arms and shut my eyes again, sighing as peace lightens the sleepiness in my chest.
"It was so nice." I purr, wrapping my arms around his neck to pull my ear closer to his beating heart. "I'm sorry I didn't get dinner ready. I meant to start preparing it before you headed home so it would be ready when you got here."
"No need to apologize, Ichan." He chuckles. "You've got reason to sleep. You've got our child growing in your womb. That takes energy." His hand rubs up and down over my belly.
Awe and happiness flood me again, even though we've been expecting the new addition for a couple months now. I place my hand over his and move in tandem, soaking up the intimate moment. Probably won't get times like this as often when the baby comes.
"I know." I hum. "But I still feel bad."
"Don't. In fact, I'd have let you stay asleep out there longer, but with your sensitivity to heat I was worried you'd get sunburnt."
"Well aren't you a softie?" I giggle.
"Only for you." He smirks, before sitting up a little more against the couch arm. He's quiet for a bit before he speaks up again. "Do you think it'll be a boy or a girl?"
"Mm, I don't know. According to my college bio professor, there's a 51% chance it'll be a boy. So the odds are slightly more in his favor." I smile. "Do you have a preference, Enchan?"
"I don't mind so long as they have both of our quirks." He comments.
"Aw, come on. That can't be all you have a preference for. I know your ambitions, but I know you'll love him or her regardless of their quirk."
"Of course I will." He agrees.
"Then, if you could choose, would you rather it be a boy or a girl?"
He's quiet for a while, hand still steadily caressing my belly.
"I'd prefer both for different reasons." He says. "I'd enjoy having a boy that I can relate to and teach things that my dad never got to teach me. And honestly, I hope they have your feisty attitude for a challenge."
"My feisty attitude?" I laugh. "Just mine?"
"Our feisty attitude then." He rolls his eyes, but grins. "And honestly, I would love having a little girl just like you to dote on...remind me what I'm fighting for. What about you?"
"I hope whatever they are, they have your eyes." I state simply. "You might think it's silly or simple, but it's one of my favorite features about you. It captures most of your personality and reminds me of everything I love about you. I want to look at my kids and be reminded that you're mine, and they're the physical evidence of that."
He doesn't say anything, but instead shifts around a bit. When he's finally settled, it's with his head on my belly and his arms wrapped around my waist.
