So much of this switch to new software at work is me desperately going "let me teach you how to do this. Please. Please I don't want to be the only one who knows how to do this please let me share this knowledge please I don't want to have to fix everything myself" It is only just now occurring to me that the reason I can figure out how to fix a lot of the issues people are running into might be because when we were in the testing phase of the new software I deliberately set out to break it as many ways as I could. Like. I thought that's just what you do when stress-testing new software? You input the wrong data in the wrong places and add dates that don't make sense and you set things to pay without ever putting a name it's paying and anything else you can think of someone accidentally doing so that IT can either fix the holes or tell you how to undo it if you make a mistake. You don't just test how it works when everything is going perfectly, because everything won't go perfectly every time

can you believe Oracle hands out these compute instances for free with 4 cores and 24gb of ram
The next logical step I think is to mount my Google drive with rsync and abuse that storage space to get around my 200gb Oracle storage limit

people in the sims 4 modding community are fightinggggggg bc one of the build cc creators is paywalling their stuff for months before releasing it for free to the public when most cc creators range from like. 2 weeks to a month?? anyway it’s a fight to the death between people who say anyone having a problem with it should just make their own and is automatically entitled and get ur bag know ur worth etc and people who say yeah sure but don’t be so rude to people asking why you’re releasing holiday content to the public in february. anyway i see elements of both sides so im watching the arguing like a cat watching christmas tree ornaments

to be brutally honest i've never had pride in my sexuality and i would be straight if i had any choice in the matter. i thought i'd grow out of that shame but i'm starting to think i'll never be happy with who i am and that's just the way it goes
#it was so awkward at this party because everyone there is liberal and ostensibly fine with gay people#but almost all of them are straight#and my friends kept bringing up the fact that i'm a lesbian and talking about pride and making jokes#i never would have mentioned it otherwise and i'm kinda pissed they said it so casually#not that i think anything bad would happen but i hate attention being called to me#i hate being different#at the end of the day i'm still that lonely kid who just wants to be liked#its the same as my friends loudly saying i'm a vegetarian when i was totally fine snacking on fruit in peace#i didn't need any special treatment or questions#and how my friends told everyone what i do for work which is humiliating because they're all software engineers & ad execs#and i'm here with my associates degree from community college doing blue collar work 😐#i want friends and i'm so fucking lonely but its so hard to make friends when#i'm ashamed of every part of myself

There was a new galaxy software update for samsung users, so if you've just updated, be sure to check that the galaxy ai features were not sneakily turned back on (like mine were)

I think my teacher should give me 100% on this assignment because I cried for like an hour and a half over it because it wasn’t working.
