Beyond the halls of Raya Lucaria, and past a village reduced to rubble, stands a Manor guarded by the ghosts of dead knights, and things which are alike to spiders, but not alike enough and entirely more horrible.

And beyond that Manor still, there is the lair of a Witch, who stole Death and whose ambition encircles the world, but she herself is only a little doll, in a big hat, and clothes that do not quite fit.

What would a doll do with Death? And what sorts of servants has she found to help her do it?

Autocorrect that tries to predict what word you type next and so “corrects” correctly spelled but unexpected words fundamentally fucking fails at the basic principle of aiding communication. If I wanted a homogenous linguistic slop that contained no novel information I could just use a Markov chain to write tumblr posts, but I don’t. And because any useful communication will contain some kind of novel, unexpected, or otherwise interesting content, by definition there will be usages and collocations which a predict-the-most-likely-next-word algorithm will miss. Or it would not be communication! It would be purely phatic! I should not have to fight autocorrect to compose text on my phone!
