 Cynthia Ann Stephanie Lauper (born June 22, 1953), known as Cyndi Lauper, is a singer-songwriter, actress, and LGBT rights activist. She is known for her distinctive vocal range, eccentric hair, and clothing. Lauper’s career has spanned over 40 years. Her debut album, She’s So Unusual, was the first female album to chart top-five hits on the Billboard Hot 100. In1985, she won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. She had continued success with her second album, True Colors, with the soundtrack for The Goonies. (they never die) Lauper has released nine albums since 1989. Throughout the 80s, she released several chart-busting singles, a few of which are my favorite pop songs. One of my favorites is Time After Time, which earned a Grammy for Song of The Year. Lauper has been involved in various other projects. In 2013, she won a Tony Award for best original score for composing the Broadway musical Kinky Boots. She has sold over 50 million records and 20 million singles. She has won several awards throughout her career. She is one of the few singers to win three of the four major American entertainment awards (EGOT). Outside of music, she has been celebrated for humanitarian work, particularly as an advocate for LGBT rights. She has been recognized for all her charity work. Again in 2013, she was invited to President Barack Obama’s second term inauguration. Lauper will always leave a lasting impression on pop music and pop culture.

Okay... One of the song for Daisy Jones was co written by Marcus Mumford and he now released his own version. And the “fans” went nuts, that how is this song belongs to Daisy and the series and how dare he blablabla.

Don’t you feel the irony because one of the core conflict of the series is the relationship between the song and the songwiter compared to the singer and the audience? And now the fans are attacking the real songwriter. This is too funny... I mean would be if it weren’t sad... 

People say they fan of something they don’t even understand...

1998 marked the 10th anniversary of the start of the Never Ending Tour and promoters and manager decided to celebrate this feat with a joint Tour with 3 of the greatest Singers/Songwiters of All time: Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell and Van Morrison

While the anticipated bill was actually better than the actual quality of the concerts, the shows are still worth tracking to listen to especially the San Jose show which are all available in soundboard quality

Bangkok: Pheu Thai Führerin Paetongtarn meldete sich für einen Kurs des National Defense College an

Pheu Thai Führerin Paetongtarn „Ung-Ing“ Shinawatra meldet sich für den „Mini-NDC“ Kurs des National Defense College für junge Führungskräfte an. Einer Militärquelle zufolge wird Paetongtarn Shinawatra zu den ersten jungen Führungskräften gehören, die einen neuen Verteidigungslehrplan des National Defense College (NDC) studieren. Der nationale Verteidigungslehrplan für zukünftige Führungskräfte, besser bekannt als Mini-NDC Kurs, richtet sich an Militärangehörige der mittleren Ebene, Beamte und Geschäftsleute, darunter Internet-Influencer, Schauspieler und Schauspielerinnen. Es ist ein Schlüsselelement im Soft-Power-Vorstoß des Militärs. Der Kurs wird nächstes Jahr für Bewerber im Alter von 35 – 42 Jahren beginnen, im Vergleich zum aktuellen NDC-Programm, das sich an Führungskräfte im Alter von 52 – 55 Jahren richtet. Studienplätze sind bei Menschen, die Kontakte knüpfen und beruflich vorankommen möchten, sehr begehrt.

Die Quelle sagte, dass der Kurs voraussichtlich die Kontakte zwischen den Teilnehmern fördern wird, noch stärker als das NDC-Programm für Führungskräfte, da die über 50-Jährigen bald in den Ruhestand gehen. Er sagte auch, dass das Mini-NDC-Programm darauf abzielt, das Bewusstsein für die nationale Sicherheit zu schärfen, die Fähigkeiten zur kritischen Analyse zu verbessern und Führungsqualitäten bei Mitgliedern der neuen Generation zu entwickeln. Frau Paetongtarn, 37, habe sich zusammen mit ihren engen Freunden für den Mini-NDC-Kurs angemeldet, sagte die Quelle und fügte hinzu, dass das Militär erwarte, dass sie mehr über die Verteidigungsmission des Landes verstehe. Allerdings wird dem Militär seit langem vorgeworfen, die NDC-Kurse zur Förderung einer Patronage-Kultur zu nutzen, so dass Premierministerin Srettha Thavisin die Teilnehmer in diesem Jahr vor Networking zum persönlichen Vorteil warnte. Als das NDC den neuen Kurs ankündigte, meinten die Leute auch, er sei maßgeschneidert für Menschen wie Frau Paetongtarn. Die Vorsitzende der Pheu Thai Partei und Tochter des Parteipatriarchen Thaksin Shinawatra wurde als potenzielle Premierministerin erwähnt, die einspringen könnte, falls Herr Srettha vor Ablauf der vierjährigen Amtszeit der Regierung in politische Turbulenzen geraten sollte.
