In May 2004, when Manmohan Singh was sworn in as India’s 14th Prime Minister, it was a moment of surprise for many. The soft-spoken economist, widely credited with overseeing India’s transformative 1991 economic reforms, was an unexpected choice for the top job, particularly when many speculated that Congress leader Sonia Gandhi might herself step into the role. However, despite the public perception that the position was rightfully hers, Sonia Gandhi chose to step aside and support Singh.

✨ National Arab American Heritage Month (NAAHM) is celebrated in April. The first Arab American Heritage Day was celebrated on October 25, 1992. NAAHM celebrates the heritage and culture of Arab Americans and Arabic-speaking Americans. It also recognizes the contributions of Arab Americans to the United States, including:
🌙 The history of Arab migration to America 🌙 The diversity within the Arab American community 🌙 Important customs and traditions 🌙 The fight for civil rights and social justice
✨ NAAHM also serves as a time to: 🌙 Combat Anti-Arab bigotry 🌙 Challenge stereotypes and prejudices
✨ In 2023, the president declared April National Arab American Heritage Month. However, I felt it necessary to recognize Arab American Heritage Day this year, too. I'm Palestinian 🇵🇸, but growing up, I never saw that word printed on a page, never saw it recognized as a nationality in novels or newspapers. We're here. We exist. We will not be erased, ignored, or silenced.
✨ In celebration of these voices, here are a few books by Arab and 🇵🇸Palestinian authors to consider adding to your TBR.

Price: [price_with_discount] (as of [price_update_date] - Details) [ad_1] Rang De Basanti is a film that was directed and written by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The movie stars Aamir Khan, Siddharth Narayan, Kunal Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan, Sharman Joshi, Madhavan, Atul Kulkarni, and Alice Patten. The film received extensive critical acclaim in India and abroad. It also got a Bafta nomination for the Best Foreign Language Film in 2006. The film was India entry for the Golden Globe and Academy Awards as well. The plot of the movie revolves around a young British documentary filmmaker’s wish to document the Indian freedom struggle as it was experienced by her grandfather, who was an officer in the British Indian Army. Sue McKinley arrives in India with her grandfather’s diary, from which she has learnt about the story of five Indian freedom fighters, Bhagat Singh, Chandrasekhar Azad, Shivaram Rajguru, Ram Prasad Bismil, and Ashfaqulla Khan. These men, according to late Mr McKinley, were of a different kind, a kind who neither kept silent in the face of death nor cried in pain. With the help of her friend Sonia, Sue manages to recruit five friends of Sonia’s who, after some hesitation, agree to be a part of the documentary. As the filming begins, the men gradually become more interested in it and begin to play their roles with more seriousness. Their mockery and foolishness gives way to a realisation that the life of the revolutionaries wasn’t very different from the ones that we live today. The men realise that their present day conditions are just as bad as when India was under British rule. At this time, tragedy strikes. Sonia’s fiancé, who is a flight lieutenant in the Indian Air Force, is killed in an air crash and it is declared that the accident occurred due to the pilot’s error. Apart from feeling miserable at their dear friend’s death, everyone in the group is horrified at such false news, as they know Rathod (the deceased pilot) to be an expert in his field. They believe that Rathod had chosen not to eject himself from the plane so as to save hundreds of other lives which would have been lost had he let the plane crash in a populated area. After further investigation, they learn that the aircraft had been made of cheap parts as part of a deal by a corrupt defence minister. Matters turn out to be worse when they find out that it was one of their friend’s fathers who was responsible for the materialisation of the deal. They plan to hold a peaceful protest at India Gate, but are beaten with lathis by the police. In the confusion, Rathod’s mother is severely injured, causing her to slip into a coma. The friends now realise that there is no place for peaceful means in this country and they decide to resort to violence to achieve their end. The movie ends with a reflection on the kind of end that the freedom fighters had achieved and we are told of the third kind of people that McKinley had written about. Rang De Basanti is available as a DVD in Hindi, with English subtitles. The movie has been rated U (Universal). This DVD was released by Excel Home Entertainment in 2014. Why Sonia Gandhi is so dangerous
Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated on May 21, 1991, and exactly one month later, on June 21, 1991, an NGO named 'Rajiv Gandhi Foundation' was established. Yes, just one month after Rajiv Gandhi's assassination.
In 1993, Sonia Gandhi opened a branch of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation in Britain, and the British government passed a resolution regarding it in her presence.
In 1993, Sonia Gandhi went to the USA for work related to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. The specifics of the work are unknown.
In the same year, 1993, George Soros established the Open Society Foundation in New York.
In December 1994, an NGO named Forum of Democratic Leaders in the Asia-Pacific (FDL-AP) was started.
Among other goals, the main objective of this NGO was 'Independent Kashmir'! Yes, you read it right, 'Independent Kashmir'! The following thread is shocking, stay tuned.
As the 'President of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation,' Sonia Gandhi was the co-chair of this forum. Read again, as the President of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation! Almost all members of FDL-AP were pro-American!
The Soros Foundation (Open Society Foundation) was one of the major funders of this NGO. Yes, the Soros Foundation was funding an NGO with the objective of Free Kashmir, and Sonia was involved in it. Now, there is some shocking information related to the Kandahar hijacking, read on.
The Kandahar plane hijacking incident happened in 1999. Before reaching Kandahar, the plane landed in the UAE for refueling. UAE officials allowed the American ambassador to enter the airport but not the Indian ambassador. Isn't this shocking?
After that, the terrorists took the plane to Kandahar, Afghanistan, which was under Taliban control at the time. Another fact is that the USA was supporting the Taliban in those days to counter Russia.
Initially, the hijackers demanded the release of 36 terrorists, but after negotiations, the release of three terrorists, including Masood Azhar, was agreed upon. The name of a terrorist 'Latif' was also on the list of 36, but he was not released. Remember this name Latif and read the following thread.
The FBI had a special interest in Masood Azhar. The FBI 'interviewed' him several times between 1995 and 1998 when he was in an Indian jail! Note: 'Interviewed'… Whom? Terrorist Masood Azhar? By whom? The American intelligence agency FBI.
After his release, terrorist Masood Azhar reached Pakistan with the help of ISI and started the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed, which also aims for 'Free Kashmir'! Does 'Free Kashmir' ring a bell from this thread? Read on.
In June 2001, Sonia Gandhi, along with her associates (Manmohan Singh, Natwar Singh, Murli Deora, Jairam Ramesh), went to the USA for five days. But before reaching there, she toured Britain and Iceland. Both countries are Tax Havens!
In the USA, Sonia Gandhi had a 'closed-door' meeting with the Council on Foreign Relations and Henry Kissinger!
What is the Council on Foreign Relations and its power? To understand this, look at this photo. These are the people who are part of it and make decisions about everything—even the President of the USA! After this, you will also understand the role of social media and media!
According to Sonia Gandhi's associate Natwar Singh, Sonia Gandhi expected to meet very special people there. Who these special people were, he did not disclose.
A few months later, on December 13, 2001, Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists attacked the Indian Parliament. When the Parliament attack happened, Sonia Gandhi had already left the Parliament!
After winning the 2004 elections, Sonia Gandhi formed an NAC to run the government. Harsh Mander and Arundhati Roy (remember Pallavi Joshi's character in the movie #TheKashmirFiles?) were part of this NAC! Interestingly, both of them worked for George Soros in India!
An NGO, 'HRLN,' actively works with the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation for urban Naxalites and separatists. Even this NGO received funding from Soros and the USA. After coming to power in 2004, Sonia Gandhi's first decision was to repeal the anti-terrorism law POTA.
On May 28, 2010, the UPA government released 25 terrorists as a goodwill gesture. Yes, 25 as a goodwill gesture. The most shocking part was that 'Latif' was also released, whose name was on the list with Masood Azhar but was not released at that time.
According to an RTI report, the government has no record of Sonia Gandhi's foreign trips between 2004 and 2014.
After 2011, Sonia Gandhi made several trips to the USA for 'medical' reasons. This information was also provided by Congress spokespersons, and that too after she left India!
Similarly, on November 30, 2015, she went to the USA for a 'medical checkup' for three days.
On January 2, 2016, the Pathankot attack happened.
Do you know who the main terrorist of that attack was? The same 'Latif'! who was released by the UPA government in 2010 as a goodwill gesture!
"It’s no surprise that the Congress Party, led by the Gandhi family, has no hesitation in compromising the interests of Bharat.
