KATE FELL FIRST NINA FELL HARDER!!!!!

kate was mesmerized by nina foreverrrrr, just thinking this pretty glittery colorful shiny girl was such an interesting anomaly in that godforsaken forest. she had a small little crush, but she didn't really think about nina unless nina was mentioned or in the room - in which she was listening and looking, everytime.

then, once they shared that 'meaningless' kiss, it spiraled into constantly thinking about her. asking toby about her(trying to be subtle, disguising it as something else), spending more time at the cabin to bump into her, asking nat to hang out despite never asking just cuz she knows nat is best friends with nina, all of this stupid stuff that she'd never normally do. and everyone doesnt even realize, they just think that toby is finally getting kate out of her shell and she's starting to heal . . .

after that kiss, nina would start thinking about kate a bit more too. she'd be showing up more often, sending toby to go do stuff so she'd be alone with kate for even a few minutes, purposefully trying to get kates attention now, stupid shit that people DO notice. toby would quickly catch on and be like 'oh fuck no leave kate out of whatever bullshit you got in your brain' and ninas like LOOOOOLLLLLLLL IM NOT DOING ANYTHINGGGGGGGGG TOBYYYS STFUUUUU . meanwhile her and kate are sharing very frequent 'for fun' 'meaningless' kisses that leave kate stressed and nina kicking her feet.

and. then nina does what nina does best, and probably goes crazy (starts showing up at the mines and nearly dying over and over and over)
