i saw that you’re into aggressive inline skating, i just got a pair of inlines and i tried them out the other day (couldn’t yesterday because it was raining) and it was a lot harder than i thought! i’ve ice skated casually a lot growing up and roller skated with quads a few times so i thought i’d be fine but it was a Lot, i have no idea how to stop lmfao but i can’t wait to get into it more!! what does aggressive inline skating entail?

omg, that's so dope!! i got my first pair of of quad (speed) skates a week ago and imo they're WAYYY harder than inlines - i also grew up ice skating and i find inline far more similar in concept 🤔

aggressive inline (aka blading, street skating) is kinda just like.... a subcategory of the sport, involving tricks and stuff ?? the skates themselves are designed differently (ex. have a soulplate and h-block) and are more designed for grinding rails etc. essentially, imagine a skate park, and then imagine riding it with inline skates. (video)

and as for stopping .... i'd advise starting with a plow stop, cuz you can't really do it wrong, and then as you get better balance, try out the drag/T-stop... and then eventually get powerstopping, cause it looks sick ;-) there are a TON of great inline tutorials on youtube, so i'd really recommend looking there! 💕
