Today’s Card of The Day - The Sloth from The Soul Reflection’s Animal Spirit Guide Oracle. (Available on our Etsy store). A sloth is known to be the slowest moving creature on earth. They can rotate their head similar to an owl but their eye sight is extremely poor. They can only see in black n white. If life has been moving at a fast pace, the Sloth Spirit is asking you to slow down. When you slow down, look completely around you. You will become aware of the things you have be missing because you were too focused on your goal at hand. Or maybe you’ve only focused on the facts (the black & whites) and now is the time to open your thoughts up for more possibilities. It’s time to focusing on the many shades of gray and allow the colors to come in so you can see the big picture. For some, I see you stepping back like you would to see the detail in a Monet painting. The Sloth can be a heath warning to slow down Have you have been burning the candle at two ends and not resting enough? A Sloth moves so slow because it’s conserving energy. You may need to save energy for the days ahead. On the other hand, if you feel like things have been crawling at a “Sloth’s pace” - the Universe have slowed things down for a reason. Maybe you need to raise your own awareness? What is going on in front of your face that your missing? Are you overlooking the lessons that you are meant to learn because your blinded by your own vision of what you expect life to be? Take a moment to reflect and discover those hidden lessons. Another interesting side of a Sloths - they can move 3 times faster in water. They are very week in their back legs, and hold most of their strength in their upper body. So in water, their powerful upper body strength make them great swimmers. In addition, they can slow their heart rate to 1/3, allowing them to hold their breath up to 40 mins underwater. The Sloth may be telling you to look within and embrace your strengths! When you learn how the things you excel at can work together, great things can be accomplished!
