Today’s Card of The Day we turn to the Spider for guidance. The card is from The Soul Reflection’s Animal Spirit Guide Oracle by Nadine Swiger. . This morning, I went into the bathroom, half-awake, turned on the light, and out of the corner of my eye I saw movement. It startled me and when I turned to look, there was a small spider eye level. I’m assuming the light frightened it as well. I decided at that split moment that instead of reacting out of fear, I would meet it eye to eye with an open heart. We stood there for a brief moment observing one another. It made me think how truly harmless this creature was, and it was just coming out of the cold, trying to find a dry safe place to survive. How many of us wish we had a safe space to not only survive but to thrive in? . The message I received from my “little bathroom light friend” was if we can cast fear aside, the beauty that can come. We shape our own lives and create our own reality. It’s all in a mindset. Rational fears protect us, but irrational fears can make us become a destructive force to those around us. And what about the world's missed opportunities because so many were too afraid to follow our hearts or dreams? Don't let fear win. . As I was shuffling the deck, I was not surprised to see the spider card drop out. It is a reminder of just how inner connected the web of our lives are. When I chose this photo for the card, I decided I wanted to see the spider head-on, confident, secure, and on a mission to create her own destiny. With each storm, her web gets destroyed. Yet with patience and determination, she rebuilds. . Know that no matter where life has brought you so far, you have the power and patience to create the future you desire. .
