Happy Secret Samol @handbasketofdreams !

So I did go a little bit weird with this years gift.... I did do art! But I also recorded a.... fan episode? Of Americas Playground! It's 1.5h of me alone playing mall kids and recording myself doing voices in a little fan adventure! I'm no professional podcaster (as you can hear), but sometimes you have an idea but don't have time for a 20 page comic and you are not a fic writer, so you gotta do what you gotta do!

The kids are back at the pier- for the Christmas market! And this time it's no air baloon, it's a carousel! Or it would be, if not all the carousel horses had been stolen.... and now there's a mall detective sneaking around, messing up all kind of things.... Eluise, Melinda, Cattie, Sank and Pomp (and the immortal doll and Princeton of course) have to find the horses so they can have a peacful Christmas!

There’s something so interesting about the Stonehearts taking on new names. The stripping of individualism and forcing them to conform under the gemstone, hierarchy based system of the IPC makes me want to write an essay but unfortunately we only have two stonehearts’ lore available to us, one of which seems pretty happy with the IPC’s conformity.

#YOU DON’T UNDERSTANDDDDDD my theory is that the IPC is basically a secondary space America #(with the first space America being Penacony cause duh)#except the IPC is DEEP into the capitalism and workaholism culture stuff #and the gemstone names are like an erasing of the stonehearts’ culture if that makes sense #like kakavasha is based on a Romani festival I believe #and I think everyone knows about how the avgins/signonians culture heavily draws from Romani culture #and while we don’t know much about Topaz’s planet Jelena is a Slavic name #although I feel like that was chosen just to hammer in topaz’s empathy for Belobog aka space russia #I just don’t know how to word it without sounding bad? like one might think everyone being equal is good #but not when the IPC is involved #also I think aven’s story did a pretty good showcase of how his culture is important to him but made others look down on him #anyway in the mean time I’m thinking of either looking into ‘Penacony is an allegory for modern day America’#or reading up on high cloud quintet lore #honkai star rail #hsr #aventurine #hsr aventurine #aventurine hsr #topaz hsr #hsr topaz #topaz #lark rambles #yk if Jade turns out to be from a similar background to Aven and Topaz #(ie. planet who’s citizens are indentured servants to the IPC)#I will 110% write the name essay

Starfalls

They are like falling stars for each other. Yes, they both fell, both are associated with stars (five-pointed, but still stars). But also...after the star falls, you make a wish. And they made a wish. The desire to hear each other’s heartbeat, to touch at least for another moment. And as with every desire, you have to pay a high price for it. Pain, nightmares, torture, ice – they went through all this to meet again.

I've noticed that I've never liked ship names that include two names together. There's almost always something that throws me off and sounds ridiculous at best. And when I am locked within four walls and I need to come to God, I have to come to something more so that I feel comfortable. And I did! Now for me Steve/Bucky are starfalls and you can’t imagine how much this has eased my fixation on the fandom. I finally feel connected to what I do...wow? Wow 🤝 Well, since the name is for my comfort, I automatically made their relationship platonic under this name. (But nevertheless, there is no headcanon on their orientation; I cannot describe their relationship for myself using labels. Although if I had to use them, then the aroace spectrum)

Yes, I thought it was important to outline all this. Now if you see a post with them on my blog and the word “starfalls”, then this is the name of this ship for me, yes.

Do you have special songs,

smells or sounds that instantly transport you to a time or place? These guys do that for me. Once I am hearing them, I know spring is on the way. Male Redwinged Blackbirds usually appear first, along with Grackles, but yesterday, I also saw the first females, as well as some Cowbirds. So despite the snow this morning, spring is really unfolding!
