[R/n feels heat creeping up her neck as she looks at Soap’s body with a poker face]

{Let’s just say Ghost was the one who got jealous this time, as he got to hear all about how his dear R/n had rubbed grease all over Soap’s abs.]

Hello!! I followed you for your absolutely amazing Twisted Wonderland comics (thank you for making them, by the way-) but I saw you posting about something called Ride Kamens? Ride Kamens is still doing prerelease marketing and isn't out yet; it's set for "early summer 2024", so a bit yet to go! similar to Twst, it's a mobile game about anime boys loosely based on an existing franchise (Kamen Rider), although it seems like it's going to be more standalone/won't require familiarity with Rider going in.

the (very) basic premise is that your player character has just taken over their late father's role as a secret agent, supporting the city's superheroes by running a secret base disguised as a cafe (plus you have a personal butler for some reason) (the reason is because it's amazing). you also have to help the heroes regain their lost memories, and it looks like it'll have a bit of a route/choice aspect there (not romance, just different endings to the character episodes depending on what you do). the details are kinda hard to tell at this point but the characters seem like a really fun bunch; there's definitely big "idiots with emotional problems" energy which I am extremely into.

all the official info is in Japanese only at the moment, but here's the website and the ride_kamens twitter! (though the twitter is sort of overtaken by posts about the AnimeJapan exhibit right now, whoops.) and I believe some people are already planning on doing translations for it too? lots to look forward to! :D

Goodbye to Yuya Takahashi as Gavv head writer dreams after I lovingly looked through Aruto and Ace screencaps the previous night, hello to Junko Komura who will make me bawl my eyes out in the final stretch even if I don't tune in for the whole show 💖

Word on the wind is that Gavv turned on his race because his mum got turned into a snack (...cannibalism??), which means he's got the Komura familial issues, potentially Stacey adjacent style? Will there be longing and heartache underneath that cheer, maybe a hallucination or two showing a glimpse of the tender, perhaps complicated relationship now lost between son and mother? I'm ready to have my heart broken :D (I swear I do want Gavv boy to be happy - but hurt and comfort can co-exist xD)

The villain line-up looks a little basic (then again it's kinda on brand for Komura) but the lady with the pink highlights and purple contacts is appealing to my soft spot for well-dressed villainesses 👌

As I’ve mentioned before, there’s a semi-niche Kamen Rider toyline called Card Warrior Kamen Rider that gives pre-existing Riders new forms. For example, here are the boxes for V3 Flaresalamander and Agito Stagtornador:

But did you know Kamen Rider Kaixa also got a Card Warrior form? Indeed, here’s the box and figure for Kaixa Chaosdile!

Information regarding Card Warrior as a whole is remarkably difficult to come by, so I’m not sure how exactly this form is acquired or if it makes Kaixa any more powerful or anything, but it’s certainly a form that exists.
