i feel like some of the people who complain about news content being behind paywalls must have missed the whole "print is dying" thing. traditionally in order to read newspapers you...had to buy them!

i just saw a post complaining about some online dictionary content being put behind a subscription. again. traditionally, a book.

i guess my point is i feel like blame is being placed on individual companies making, no doubt, budgetary decisions, and not a for-profit media environment that requires that.

all these things are still free to access. go to a library.
