Look babe I was so obsessing over void in june when I knew about it and from then I spent all my time looking for void posts and every night tryna get in void but I didnt and I thought of giving up!!! but then I thought of taking a break so I got busy again in my lifestyle and yesterday I just listened a void sub and I KID YOU NOT I NATURALLY WOKE UP IN VOID. I AFFIRM FOR THREE THINGS.

2. Long hair

3. To go back to dec 2022.

so when I woke up i was so fucking surprised. I have these brand new phone i always wish for😩 and these long hairs I always wanted😩 happy for both the things but when I got to check out the date it was JULY ONLY WTH. I am sure I got in void cause the other two things got manifested but what about the time travel thing??

For referrence it was my exact words: i want the time and surroundings to change to DEC 2022.

Time revisions are possible, so you probably were in SP, or something similar to the hypnagogic state where manifesting works easier! Next time when in a similar state just affirm you’re in the void if that’s your goal, because anything is possible in the void, and nothing “doesn’t work!”

Ehm- yeah...i was looking inspo for another legacy challenge on my spotify when i realized that i basically only hear Argentinan or Uruguayan music...and i'm pretty sure that here not many people known them- So i decided to go for Bo's songs!

And yeah, if you for some reason think about it, it was also inspired by "Perspective of god" ("you're not my children, you're a bad game of sims")

Coming up for Air…and answering some Asks while I can!

I finally have some time to catch up on some Asks. There aren't that many, but I do try to respond quickly because I enjoy the discussion! And a special shout out to the one who likes my blog. THANK YOU! Saving Mariinsky-China Tour topics for another post. Questions edited for brevity: Thoughts on Sofya Maimula? I believe she's a fairly recent grad from BBA, no? I haven't really followed her, but I recall seeing class footage with her and thinking that she looked exactly like Vaziev's ballet ideal — long thin limbs, beautiful feet. I hope to see her more though. In general, I feel like following the Bolshoi is like drinking from a firehose. So many dancers, so many performances. It's hard to keep up!

Yaroslavna Kuprina is no longer scheduled for Paquita & Gamzatti… I have no idea why, but I'm assuming it's injury related, which is such a shame. I don't think they pulled her for being unprepared. Hopefully, more news will come out soon and wish her a speedy recovery if that is indeed the issue. However, I also fall into the camp that it is just WAY too soon for these recent grads to be given such huge roles. I mean….Koshkareva / Koshkaryova (sp?) will be dancing the lead role in the Diamonds section of Jewels in November. I don't care how good she is….THAT. IS. CRAZY. Is it hard on Vaganova students to have such old teachers, whose deaths would devastate their young pupils. Total speculation here, but I think it's quite the opposite given how much reverence dancers have for beloved teachers and coaches. Teachers are respected and admired for their wisdom and guidance — the time and attention they give to young dancers is precious. I think it's a cultural norm and their ballet schools and companies have benefitted from having that depth of knowledge and experience. Here's one for The Olds! Thoughts on fast-tracking Arina Denisova and Eva Seergenkova? Ooof. Watching the clips of Denisova was rooouuuuugh. She's not ready and may never be, honestly. Blame falls squarely on the artistic staff for this call. They put an inexperienced and unprepared ballerina on the stage of the Bolshoi to dance, arguably, one of the hardest ballets in the repertoire. WTH. Are they trying to break her? Her Nikiya was also very rough. I just don't understand. I believe that Seegenkova has way more potential, and her performances seem more technically sound. Although she's had a very meteoric rise that felt way too rushed (now the norm at The Big) I think she'll grow into her aristry with more experience and confidence. As a comparison, I watched a video that someone put together of Renata Shakirova's first DQ — and a very recent one. The growth in technique, artistry, stagecraft was evident. It's amazing that we have videos at our fingertips to observe it. Mariinsky performing Walpugisnact on Oct. 4th It's different than the Balanchine version. You can see snippets online…I've seen both Iliushkina and Osmolkina perform this piece, which I understand to be a ballet interstitial from the opera Faust. BTW, Osmolkina is pretty f-ing good. Just watch some clips of her….you won't be sorry! Shock that Koshkreva & Kuprina have been given some corps-level roles such as Prince's Friends in Swan Lake & Peasant PDD in Giselle, while also dancing Gamzatti and the Paquite Grand Pas….doesn't seem a fair or balanced workload. So the norm for recent grads would be dancing the featured Prince's Friends pas de trois in Swan Lake, or the Peasant PDD in Giselle, so I don't find this odd. A lot of soloists also dance these two roles at the Bolshoi & Mariinsky. They are featured parts just not THE LEADING role. But in the bigger picture, casting at the Bolshoi will always remain a mystery to me. See above about Denisova.

I'm sorry if this is a silly question but would you have any clue about how the logistics of a ballet tour work? Thinking about the Mariinsky's upcoming tour in China. Not silly at all. And….I have NO idea! But that is such a good question and one for the likes of a stage manager professional! I do have a friend who worked in post-production/studio work for the Olympics at NBC, and they would charter a cargo plane (I think several) and ship all of their production gear to wherever the Olympics was taking place. So I'm assuming it's a similar task: Box it up, load it onto a plane, and set it up at the destination. The donkey in DQ probably stays back in St. Petersburg, though.

Speculation that they are preparing Kulikova for a big role soon…given that she hasn't appeared on stage at the yet this season. I actually think she has been dancing in the corps. I think I saw her IG as a swan, in particular. But maybe I'm mixing her up with someone else? My money's on Kuznetsova, though. I'd keep an eye on her.

Will the real Jones household please stand up

Welcome to the Jones household! It’s been several years since we last followed Thomas and Corinna and boy has life changed!

I’m going to have to double check my SP settings because Thomas has not been promoted ever! And he has one gardening skill to gain before a promotion. Their plants were looking terrible so I sent Corinna outside to tend garden while he was busy with the kiddos. There will be plenty of time to level up this week. Hmm... I almost forgot, they’ve both been on leave for most of the last couple of years due to the close proximity of Karim and Tana’s births. That could be why neither has popped up in my SP with a promotion.

Corinna didn’t get much done for her makeover. She was lucky in the randomization process to have mostly normal hair, makeup and clothing. Thomas on the other hand was a bin sim. Goodbye pee yellow hair!

I did change up Corinna’s sleepwear. I’m sure that granny moomoo was comfy, but this looks both comfy and a little more stylish. :)

Aww both kids are sleeping. Peace at last.

Thomas ran down to the bookstore to insult Rayne’s family!? WTH man!?

A little cuddly tv time and it’s off to bed. For Thomas at least, Tana started crying so I sent Corinna in to check on her, but she never made it...where did she go?

what the hair!?

T I M E F R A M E : a few days ago

L O C A T I O N :  reagan’s home

N O T E S : things have gotten a little hairy. this does contain spoilers for tangled the series so be warned ( if you haven’t watched it yet what are you doing ??? it’s a masterpiece. )

for years, reagan’s hair defined who she was. it was her hair she was kidnapped for, it’s her hair that made her have value. it’s her hair that cured those around her. for majority of her time on earth the 70 feet of hair that was attached to her carried so much weight. no just physically but metaphorically. when eugene had cut her hair to free her from gothel she believed it was the last time her hair would have such power in her life.

it’s what reagan wanted to believe but that wasn’t the truth.

after her hair was cut it was turned brown and stopped growing. it happened to her once when she was a baby and it happened once again when she was freed. she had kept her natural brunette locks for sometime until she decided to dye it blonde. it felt right in a sense. again, reagan had put so much emphasis on her hair. it was a big part of her identity, those long blonde locks. it didn’t feel right to be a brunette, thus, she dyed her hair blonde. however, it didn’t grow. her hair still remained short. it felt like a weight had been lifted off her in the sense of the actual weight her hair carried but also the significance of Gothel. with her hair mostly gone it felt like any ties she had to the woman she called mother for eighteen years was gone as well. it was a start. the trauma she harbored from the years of mental abuse from Gothel still lingered in her body and Reagan wasn’t ready to face that. She didn’t know if she’d ever be ready to. she covered those emotional scars with the happy events that happened in her life. The move to elias, the birth of Elio - they were all happy little bandaids covering the underlying issues.

despite that, life was normal. reagan couldn’t complain. well, life was as normal as it could be. it was the day of elio’s birthday that she realized her hair had grown some. now that, was off given that her hair wasn’t supposed to grow after it was cut. yet here it was grazing her shoulders, clearly longer that it had been for a year. it was to hide with a messy bun. now wasn’t the time to worry about her hair especially on her son’s first birthday. if anything, reagan didn’t think much about it at all. perhaps whatever weird magic that involved her hair was reversing. she didn’t know. nor did she care. 

she didn’t care until the dream she had the other night.

it started off beautiful, she was in the kingdom of corona chasing her beloved chameleon, picasso. her parents were walking through halls arm in arm the way they always did. she found their love admirable. she hoped to be as happy as them with eugene. speaking of, he was there too walking not too far behind them. she had hugged her parents tight, not going a day without some sort of affection. she had spent eighteen years without them and reagan wanted to soak in every moment with them. after that she placed a kiss to Eugene’s cheek, as always. she was overly affectionate and head over heels in love with him. she continued to chase picasso into she stopped cold in her tracks seeing her standing in front of her window. 

gothel.

her dream soon turned into a nightmare when she was greeted by the same voice that haunted her still to this day. 

“ Hello Reagan, ” she called the same way she always had. “ did you think I was gone forever ? ” it was the same condescending tone she had grown used to echoing thought the room. gothel strutted her way towards reagan, reaching out to caress her face and head the way she always did. the touch lingering longer on her hair as per usual. “ what’s the matter dear aren’t you happy to see your mommy ? ” it had been years since Reagan had dreamed of Gothel. they were practically nonexistent up until now. she wanted to yell that she didn’t miss her and she wanted her gone but she couldn’t find her voice. instead she just stood there looking wide eyed at the woman as she made her way back to the window. with her back faced to her once more, reagan tried to find the words but she was stopped when gothel turned around, her arms raised and black rocks erupting from the floor. soon she wasn’t in her room anymore, instead she was surrounded by the black rocks. they very black rocks she had seen not too long ago with Cassandra. 

she tried to run but with each step she was stopped by another rock forming in front of her glowing bright blue until they settled into place. with a barrier of rocks trapping her within, reagan felt a headache come on. her reached with both hands, holding her head as she tried to soothe the ache. her eyes fell shut, wincing at the pain. she felt light. the same light that coursed through her whenever she sang the healing incantation. her hair felt warm in the same way too as if her hair was emitting the same light it did years ago.

and it was. her hair was glowing once again. 

“ and look, your hair as returned. oo, isn’t that wonderful ! ”

green hues blinked opened to see a golden storm of long flowing hair reach up to the sky. reagan’s hair was long once again and flowing all around her, glowing bright. she looked before her to see gothel’s reflection in the rocks. “come now dear, let’s get back to your tower where you’ll be safe and secure.”

her heart was beating fast. she felt like she was drowning trying to escape. the words struck fear into reagan. a fear she hadn’t felt in so long and a fear she didn’t know she could possibly feel ever again. she looked around frantically, searching for someone, anyone to save her. the only thing she could see was her hair and the rocks with gothel’s refection in every single one. gothel screamed ‘reagan’ to get her attention, the rocks shattering as she did so.

everything went white after that.

reagan jolted up from her bed in a cold sweat realizing it was a dream. there was an audible ‘thud’ and her vision blurred once she came too. a long curtain of gold covered her face, pooled around her body and cascaded to the floor. she could have gasped right then and there but with eugene sleeping next to her and elio in his crib, her hands flew to her mouth to stop her from waking them. her hair was back. 

her hair was back.

quickly, she got out of bed as fast as she could without waking eugene. she grabbed her hair in a rush, doing her best not to trip over it as she ran to the bathroom. as she looked in the mirror she came face to face with a person she had not seen in so long. reagan’s long golden locks were back once again. how could this be ? she thought her hair and her powers were gone when eugene cut them. this couldn’t have been happening. she paced the bathroom, frantically as she thought about how this could have happened. it didn’t take long for her to finally connect the dots.

the black rocks.

cassandra had told her that they began showing up in corona not too long before she left to join reagan here. they two hand ventured off a month ago to see them showing up on the outskirts of elias as well. when reagan had touched the rock her hair began to glow nothing happened but it her hair did glow. she believed it was a fluke. maybe whatever residing energy of the sundrop that laid within her reacted to the rocks that night - if there was any. she was sure of it now given the current state of her hair. whatever those rocks were, wherever they came from, they were the reason her hair was back.

reagan thought she would never have hair problems again. she thought she was free from the confinements of her locks but now they were back and she didn’t know what to do.

or how she was going to tell eugene and cassandra her hair was back.
