A Visual Guide to RK900

RK900’s hair is identical to Connor’s in all ways, shapes and form. Even the swoop and tuft of hair which falls onto his forehead is positioned in the same way, and has the same fly aways. The only way in which his hair may seem to differ is in it’s fullness. This is an illusion created by the relative thickness of his face compared to Connor’s.

            CONCLUSION: RK900s hair is the exact same as Connor’s. To the t.

RK900’s hair colour falls into three sub catagories of brown. Chestnut, coffee, and ash. The two richer browns are the more prominent undertones, while the ash sits as a highlighted overtone. Therefore, when hit by direct light his hair may seem to have a slightly dusty, silvery, or cloudy look to it. However, in general cases his hair will just look to be a dark natural brown.

                CONCLUSION: Though a synthetic representation, RK900’s hair tends to change tones in light much like human hair is wont to do. Overall, the appearance is a rich brown.

RK900’s skin colour falls into one of the palest of those within the game. His skin is within the range of more peachy tones, with underlying pink and yellow. In the light this becomes even more exaggerated.

               CONCLUSION: RK900 has a fairly light skin tone. Highlights and blush tones should fall in the yellow/ivory/cream and pink categories. If he were human his background would likely be English/Scottish/Irish and/or Nordic/Baltic.

Another way in which RK900 appears to be identical to his predecessor is in reguards to the marks on his face. Just like Connor, RK900 has a splattering of freckles over all visable skin. The major markings are in the same relative places. Relative because their face and body shapes are slightly different.

             CONCLUSION: RK900 has all of the same freckles and marks that Connor has. Again, this was done to a t.

Interestingly enough, upon the change of the face shape between the 800 and 900 models, the lips seemed to have gained just the slightest bit of fullness and shift in pigmentation. Blink and you may miss it, but RK900’s lips are indeed just the smallest bit larger than Connor’s, and have a bit of a pinker tint to them. They seem to have been adjusted within scale to the RK900’s new face shape and width.  The colour overall doesn’t fairy all too much, but in highlight there is a slightly pinker shade.

             CONCLUSION: RK900’s lips are well within proportion to his face, though they still remain slightly plush and pink.

RK900’s eyes are perhaps the most striking thing about his appearance. They are a cold, steel colour. The illusion of a silver with a colour that sits between blue and gray. If it weren’t for his dark limbal rings his irises may seem to almost blend in with the whites of his eyes. Despite the popular choice to settle him with blue eyes, the more that the image is studied, the more that his eyes appear gray with hints of blue highlights.

              CONCLUSION: RK900’s eyes are a light and cold gray. They have highlights of blue and shine with a silvery sheen.

RK900 is very rectangular in body shape. Fit but lean. His shoulders are fairly broad, and sit just the slightest bit wider than his hips. His body overall is very straight. He is broader and slighlty thicker than Connor.

           CONCLUSION: RK900 is well built and rectangular shaped.

While his height is left undetermined by the game details itself, after looking at the available images from his in game appearance I have determined that he is, in fact, taller than Connor. This makes logical sense given the idea and interest behind his model was for him to be more intimidating and imposing than his predecessor. The measuring tool for the RK800 and RK900’s relative hieghts is the one thing that they can be veritably measured against, Amanda.

              CONCLUSION: Based on measurements against Amanda (5'5"), RK900 is taller than Connor, and approximately 2 inches taller than Connor, putting him at 6'2" (the same height as Hank.)

The RK900 model was made to be a more advanced and “appropriate” model than the “Connor” series. Inconsequential details were left untouched, like his hair and freckles. However, features that may prove to be more intimidating, imposing, and effective in detective and poliece work were changed/added. His gray eyes and more filled out and taller body are two prime examples of this. Another is his more square shaped face. Connor’s face is fairly round and slim, while RK900’s face is more blocky and sharp.

              CONCLUSION: RK900’s face is more blocky and well defined than Connor’s, making it both more strong looking and a bit more commanding.

Upon looking back and forth between the two late RK models, one may notice that the eyes of RK900 look smaller than those of the RK800. This isn’t quite the case. In the official images both from the game play and the gallery, RK900 spends the majority of the time squinting. This perhaps adds to the assumption that he would have a cold and calculating demeanor, as every actual appearance has him furrowing his brow and squinting before smoothing his features out into something cool and impressive.

               CONCLUSION: RK900 narrows his eyes and squints judgingly frequently in the only canonical recordings that we have (this being in the full Machine Connor, ‘bad ending’, as well as the unlocked gallery sets.)
