BUT ANYWAY thats me reimagining trigun into hades. now imagining trigun into an#ORIGINAL video game.... ough... ohhh....guhh... Sooooo am doing some house keeping of my files and found this fight I never finished. I did it two years ago when I started to try fight scene storyboarding stuff (note this was before Escape-A-Tello) IT IS VERY OLD AND SCRATCHY, but thought I would share this anyway as, in a way, I am still proud of it

Just good fandom fun#Watermelon discourse has been going on and I want to let people know where I stand.#This came about because I wanted to experiment with translating the (traditional) PD-MDZS style to a digital format#and while sitting there thinking of what to draw...my inspiration came to me.#This is the equivalent of sneaking vegetables into the spaghetti sauce but its important to get your gotdamn veggies#I'm not very good at organizing my thoughts (evidence: the tags of every post on this blog).#but please do not look away from this moment in history. One person cannot solve it and no one expects you to.#Even if it is just spending time doing some research on the situation and history. Or boosting posts that are more articulate#Any action helps! ANY action! Everyone has a different level of capacity for this and that's okay. Anything is fine. Dont let it be nothing#Anyhow. did I like doing this digitally? Yes but its mixed. It was faster but also spark the same joy I usually get while drawing#I will have to get over it very quickly though. You will all see why in a few days

I like how TF One Orion is well-meaning but also ill-suited to deal with D-16's emotional needs despite them being such good, genuine friends. He is driven by a strong sense of justice and sees no reason why he shouldn't act to right the world, he's also very impulsive and has a bit of a one-mind-track, which leads him to push D into situations D doesn't want.
So when they find out about Sentinel's schemes, D who had a deep faith in the system (and some worrisome beliefs Orion also failed to question) experiences a lot of anger and turmoil for which he can't find a proper outlet and turns it onto Orion because from his emotional reasoning, is Orion's fault he is upset because Orion put him in a situation where he was made to learn the truth.
This sort of logic makes absolutely no sense to Orion, who is action/solutiom focused and for whom the Sentinel issue is still just a matter of righting a wrong. So he fails to provide proper emotional support for D who spirals down and by the end he's too tired of letting Orion push him around to listen to reason. I'm very pleased with this aspect, these are flaws that are very fitting for the character of Orion as presented.
#note that i am not saying Megatron's actions are Orion's fault#quetzal rambles tf#point is orion is a jock who lacks the emotional intelligence to deal with the growing shadow inside his boyfriend's spark

Francis went from having a moral crisis about what is right and wrong and the power he had to do bad things to people and his desire to keep doing those things while knowing they were objectively evil because they gave him a rush of joy unlike anything he’s experienced in his life to hard swerving into thinking he’s a god with the power to change the trajectory of people’s lives for the better and that says something about him. I don’t know what, but it’s definitely saying something.

brusty breakup arc will always get to me because even when brock gets back with doc in season 6, you can tell things arent the same anymore. brock doesnt care. he is trying so desperately to care but he cant anymore. doc really fucked it with not ever doing anything for brock, and between ORB and The family that slays together stays together part 2 brock had enough of not being taken seriously and he just never came back from that
