Though I did sympathize with Palebird, I never considered Tallstar’s Revenge from her point of view.

So rant time!

--Tallstar was upset with her for becoming mates and having kits with her dead mate’s friend.

Do you think it was easy? Sometimes people/cats can’t control who they have feelings for. Maybe because they were friends, Woolly was there to provide Palebird with comfort and things grew from there (though I don’t blame Tallstar because he was a child when it occurred and was going through his own grief, I don’t remember him checking on his mother after Sandgorse died). Maybe it wasn’t easy for Palebird, who suffered the death of one kit shortly after birth and experienced postnatal, to find out that she would have kits again.

Maybe she panicked, worried, cried. Maybe when she was finally happy about it was when her son found out, and he reacts in anger and pushes her away.

But the point is she was ready for it.

She spent more than SIX MOONS in the nursery, even after her son was apprenticed, so depressed that she couldn’t work and barely left the nest. Then she was happy enough to have more kits and actively take care of them.

Remind me why she was supposed to be a bad person in Tallstar’s life? To give him pity points?

That’s not to dismiss Tallstar’s own feelings on everything, which were 100% valid, not to mention that his life was very rough and yes, that is because of both Palebird and, way more, Sandgorse.

But Palebird is definitely another female character in the Warriors series that, I think, were mistreated by the Erins. It’s one thing to give her--and Sparkpelt--postnatal, because hey, that happens ig, but to make it so that the narrative turns them into bad guys because of their conditions?

Not to mention the fact that it gives the very much real condition of very real people a bad rap. Imagine having suffered through postnatal, and reading this.

Nah, fuck that entirely.

i survived the fantribe-pocalypse of wof amino.

closed fantribes have cooled down considerably since the booming days (the community as a whole has mellowed out a lot tbh). there was a minor resurgence with tribes like sparktails and endarians?? but most don't get a ton of attention like the classics anymore.

now. let me say one word. hoodwings.

let me say more. peakwings. streamwings. septails. gecctails. kiplings. gelwings. blobbois. trenchwings. runicwings. elixipods. sharkfins. cofras. the fish bowl tail ones. and a bunch more. but if you know you know.

if you had a peakie or a hoodie, EVERYONE envied you. or they thought you were kind of annoying. but those people probably secretly envied you. just a little bit. i should know 🧍i DID eventually get a cheap streamie, a free serp, AND a free blobboi, though. not to flex. (i still have them btw i love them.)

any other tribe with a hood got called a hoodwing rip-off.

i saw some people with masterlists that had, like, sixty-three unnamed streamies. and they claimed they weren't hoarding..... okay, look, i don't really believe in "hoarding" characters (just have fun with your characters i literally don't care) but. that's a little insane.

and almost every one of the staffs for these fantribes had drama. don't ask me what drama because i never cared. when hoodwings fell from grace the community quivered.

soleiwings were sort of the last big BIG fantribe on the app? i think? closed fantribes started to fizzle out after those guys. but yeah. thanks for going down memory lane with me.

Relationships: RiverHeart is TrenchStar's son. PyroPelt, SparkTail, and WildFang are siblings and all are warriors. Pyro is deputy and Mudpaw's mentor. River is med. cat and Cloudpaw's mentor. Spark is Galepaw's mentor. Gale and Cloud are twins.

Bumble is a Sparktail HiveWing hybrid dragon. They are a beekeeper and their favorite food is honey Bumble is that go-with-the-flow friend that will occasionally give you deep advice. They will often go out of their way for others without regard for themself. Has a hard time saying no to people to the point where sometimes they end up in a situation they just can't handle no matter how flexible they are, or a situation that is very inconveniencing for Bumble. They do have a slight stubbornness in that they don't like giving up. Other than that though, Bumble has no problems admitting they're wrong or coming up with compromises.
