Lore Thursday — Rakshasa Armor
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Created by Lethbridge Industrial, Rakshasa armor is highly adaptable and versatile on the battlefield; this ultimately led to each armor having a lived history of the Spartan wearing it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The armor was later adopted by Spartans Sigrid Eklund and Hieu Dinh, where Eklund documented in her field notes several experiences of equipment usable on Rakshasa.
The armor has seen many equipment configurations, from Banished technology, old CMA communication pads, and even Sangheili skulls.
Here are a few images of Halopedia staff Rakshasa Spartans.

Rakshasa armour core
This is one of my favourite cores to be honest, it’s meant to be cheap asf abducts inspired by Soviet Union military Design Language which is super cool, I love the silhouette of the core mainly, its well proportioned in comparison to other infinite cores.
Lore
The Rakshasa is versatile, easy to maintain, and comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. Critical advantages for long-duration remote operations in hostile environments. Another key to its success are multiple levels of subsystem redundancy and an integral self-repair system. Rakshasa is also able to be equipped, or adapted to use several attachments or gear.
Developed by Lethbridge Industrial, the Rakshasa armor was battle-tested by Delta-6 hunter-killer teams and disruption operatives who ranged far into the former Covenant core worlds.
During the armors service, it began to represent lived history, where the armor of one Spartan wearing Rakshasa may carry on to another. Rakshasa was worn by Spartan-IV's Sigrid Eklund and Hieu Dinh, where Eklund documented in her field notes several experiences on equipment usable on Rakshasa.

Halo Infinite – Multiplayer Reveal E3 2021 Trailer
Halo Infinite is a 2021 first-person shooter game developed by 343 Industries and published by Xbox Game Studios. It is the sixth mainline entry in the Halo series, following Halo 5: Guardians (2015). The campaign follows the human supersoldier Master Chief and his fight against the enemy Banished on the Forerunner ringworld Zeta Halo, also known as Installation 07. Unlike previous installments in the series, the multiplayer portion of the game is free-to-play. The game was intended to release as a launch title for the Xbox Series X/S, but was delayed in August 2020 after Infinite's gameplay reveal in July 2020 drew negative feedback from both critics and Halo fans. Following an open beta release of the multiplayer component on November 15, 2021, coinciding with the franchise's 20th anniversary, the campaign was released for Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on December 8, 2021. #HaloInfinite #Halo #multiplayer Multiplayer In late 2552, during the battle for Earth, the Covenant occupy the centre of London. While Covenant patrols scout the city in search for surviving humans, a young woman, named Laurette Agryna, sneaks around the city streets and attempts to evade the patrols. She is spotted by a pack of Brutes, but is saved by a group of Spartans. Agryna later joins the UNSC military and eventually goes on to join the Spartan-IV program. Seven years after the fall of the Covenant, in the wake of Cortana's attack on Laconia Station and the dissapearance of both the Master Chief and the UNSC Infinity, Agryna—now serving as a Spartan Commander—begins training a new generation of Spartans and establishes new training facilities on classified frontier worlds, such as the Avery J. Johnson Academy of Military Science. Some time after the establishment of the Academy, Spartans Sigrid Eklund and Hieu Dinh discover that an old UNSC fleet depot, located on the planet Camber, has been repurposed by the Banished to serve as a shipbreaking yard. After observing their activity for two days, the Spartans learn that the Banished have successfully created their own AI construct. The AI, named Iratus, detects Eklund and Dinh's presence in the yard and alerts the Banished, forcing the duo to hijack a Banished Phantom in order to escape. Iratus, however, follows them and attempts to lock down the Phantom's flight controls. In order to regain access to the flight controls, Dinh allows Iratus to infect his neural interface, leaving him unconscious. After returning to the Academy, Eklund informs Agryna of their encounter with the Banished. Agryna devises a plan to pull Iratus out of Dinh's neural interface and trap him on an ONI (Office of Naval Intelligence) server. Meanwhile, Iratus continues to torture Dinh's mind, using memories of a failed mission in an attempt to break him. Agryna's plan eventually succeeds and Iratus, along with a complete archive of the Banished's operations on Camber, is secured, saving Dinh's life in the process. After the capture of Iratus, Eklund and Dinh choose to remain at the Academy, while Agryna prepares for a larger conflict with the Banished. While practicing at the Academy's firing range, Eklund expresses her concerns over Dinh's state of mind after the operation on Camber, but Dinh assures her that she and Agryna have nothing to worry about. Eklund introduces Dinh to one of the Academy's newly recruited Spartans, noting their role in the actions that saved Dinh's life. Dinh thanks the Spartan for their efforts and briefly reflects on his military training at the Academy.

ok season 2 of halo infinite pvp’s launched i have some thoughts, spoilers ahead for the cinematics
to start with it took me like 8 hours and multiple rewatches until it actually showed my customized spartan in the season intro cinematic like they said it would in the live stream.
the voice acting is really good, the medic’s voice is slightly shaky when saying that they’re going to have to pull the chip and i cant tell if its good voice acting faking nervousness or if my audio was lagging. either way it fit the mood.
the spartans have weight when they move in this cinematic, they move like gravity is a thing and they’re in a suit of power armor thats literally 90 percent metal. i greatly appreciate that.
More Spartan Commander Agryna content! yes! Good! i’m excited!
The Medical kits in this cinematic Do Not Violate the Geneva Conventions(no red cross on white background, i believe thats the rod of asclepius on there instead? also has the words on there)
Iratus is such an angry little asshole, threatening to grind us into pulp and drink us, how’re you going to do that when you got stuck in a spartan’s helmet chip you angry little ai.
Spartan’s Eklund body language and voice acting is amazing, 10/10 i already really care about her. i am really hoping nothing bad happens to her later on in this season.
Spartan Dinh, we havent even spoken to him and i feel like we already have a foothold on his personality. dude stuck a banished ai in a chip and then his helmet and immediately had to deal with the consequences. i’d make a no thoughts head empty joke but his heads very full, just with an ai instead of thoughts. cannot get over how gently our spartan handles him while hes unconscious, just so fuckin gently lifts and cradles his head while the cord’s plugged into his helmet.
i’ve only had Spartan Eklund and Spartan Dinh for 12 hours but if anything hurt them worse than they already are i’d kill every banished in this game and iratus and then also all the ones in halo wars 2.
I have less thoughts about the new gamemodes but i wish they didnt require you to wait out the match when you loose all your lives in last spartan standing for it to count as completed for you, you cant do anything in there once all five lives are gone and it fuckin wastes 2x xp boosts.
I know theres supposed to be a prompt to let you know you can leave but it *never fucking shows up for me*

Officer’s Personal Log - 19.8.2560 After a few hours in surgery my new prosthetics have finally been installed, no more bare-bones factory models now that our supply lines have solidified. New parts also meant my armor has finally been fully repaired and the techs even gave it a fresh coat of paint...
The paint is going to take getting used to. Either Agryna has a sense of humor and access to historical records or one of the rookies slipped the techs some unsanctioned instructions, because no Spartan currently alive, that I know of, has seen me in my Freelancer paint job.
Despite this little incident and the recent activities involving Eklund and Dinh, training continues on schedule and survivors continue to trickle in. Barbara and I are still keeping an eye out for the rest of Crimson, but with how long it’s been since we lost the Gettysburg... well, MIA is better than KIA.

#LoreThursday — Iratus
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Secretly created by Lux Voluspa, Iratus is a Smart AI that was made using the brain of a Jiralhanae rather than a human. The Banished launched a cyberwarfare attack on Lux Voluspa, successfully stealing Iratus from the facility.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now aligned with the Banished, Iratus was utilized to oversee shipbreaking operations on the former human colony of Camber. During a mission on the world, Spartans Eklund and Dinh discovered Iratus, and Dinh captured the AI within his neural interface.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Returning to the Avery J. Johnson Academy of Military Science with their prize, Iratus was carefully extracted from Dinh's neural interface and quarantined. However, the AI would break containment and find his way into an ONI facility beneath the academy.

Alpha pack/halo infinite mp season 2 story event 2 spoilers
Intro cut scene for this is good, I always enjoy responsible gun safety, it was a little bit difficult for me to process what Spartan Eklund was saying with the gunfire but that's a personal issue i have.
Once again I adore the weight the animators give her model, it would have been all too easy for them to just have Spartan Eklund stand there and talk at us with no movement what-so-ever but if you look closely even when she isn't looking at you and is firing her AR she is actually responding to the recoil that should be from it. I love small details like that.
I am greatly enjoying the character insight into Spartan Eklund and her history with Spartan Dinh.
I do almost wish this cut scene was longer, if only because it felt a bit too short and less informative about what exactly we were accomplishing this event. (It took me multiple re-watches to realize Spartan Eklund was basically scouting out our talent/skill, which again could just be due to my own processing issues.)
The challenges for this week i didn't have any issues completing(disregarding the fact i waited until literally the last 24 hours to do all of them out of the 2 weeks given). I also had a weird, maybe intentional thing happen where I got 2 levels per event challenge.
Exit cut scene
Once again! Love the animations!
I have conflicted feelings about Spartan Eklund complimenting us but that’s due to me not accepting compliments easily.
The voice acting is lovely, and the lines go well in an insightful look.
I was a bit distracted by the reflection you can see in Spartan Eklund's helmet being what looks like the ceiling light?
I do still hope nothing bad happens to her beyond what already has.
Also no further information on Spartan Dinh, I hope his recovery is going well.
