They’re here! One is Terracotta/Hunter/Orange, and the other is Terracotta/Forest/Terracotta (a copy of Livion!). Both are male, and they can be seen HERE. The eye colour is unfortunate, but I’ll be switching home to Wind soon. EDIT: The Terra/Forest/Terra boy has been claimed, but his brother is still available! A spiral capricat is an unusual mutation that doesn't pass down through breeding.

memorial dragons of my three departed cats. Big Yeti, Velvet Jazz, and Lil’ Buddy. Yeti had heterochromia, with a left blue eye and right green eye, so i had to make sure her dragon had the right eye colour on the right side. also a snapper, because chunky, and there’s a good reason why Yeti was called “big” Yeti. her name being “Yeti” is also why i gave her dragon wintery clothes. yetis live in snowy zones, y’know! Jazz was also pretty chunky, and had big ol’ wide paws, so a big footed bogsneak (tho i’m contemplating turning her dragon into an obelisk..). we always remarked that her hooded eyes made her look like a little panther, so her dragon has the jaguar gene. oh, and the wooly antennae are there to give the impression of cat ears :P Buddy was a long and lanky boy with big wide eyes, so his dragon’s a spiral with the “innocent” eye type. the autumn breeze apparel is ‘cause he first showed up sometime in the fall. he also had a big wound on his face when he first showed up, that left a scar that, while easily hidden from view by his fur, you could feel how what i’m pretty sure was a fan from an engine cut him so hard and deeply that it put a groove in the bone of his cheek. hence the eye scar apparel. they all have marigold flower crowns, because i really like how they’re used in the dia de los muertos mexican holiday. a bright happy life celebration thing, and something to guide the souls of departed loved ones back home for a visit. i’m literally crying rn from thinking about it too much oops. but, yeah. Yeti was the best animal friend i ever had, and while Buddy and Jazz weren’t that same level, i still loved them both super dearly. they were all my cats, rather than just family cats. i’m gonna miss them forever. bonus: i have a ‘sona dragon on FR as well, and gave it the prancing capricat familiar, for Yeti

Each Afamiliar is hand-crafted by one of a group of artists, with several options available to customize and mutate them into uniquely designed creations. Breeding

Male and female Afamiliars can be bred together to create an offspring that mixes the parents’ aesthetics! If 5 or more of an Afamiliar shares a new common element, they can be considered a new “subspecies”! (For example, Capricats come in “Longhorn”, “Prancing”, and “Spiral” varieties on Flight Rising. These are considered “subspecies”, and Afamiliars members have expanded those to include “Roundhorn” and “Prism” varieties!)

Mira’s Mysterious Mixtures -- “MMM”

Mira's Mysterious Mixtures mutates your chosen Afamiliar's appearance to take after 3 items you give to Mira. This is commonly shortened to "MMM". The artist is free to draw any inspiration from the three items provided. Specific requests are unavailable for MMM. Any mutations from Mira can be be inherited by their future offspring.

“Faux Hybrids”

Sending a more valuable familiar into the mix (or just paying an extra 300g on top of the MMM) gives a greater chance of more drastic changes. These are called "Faux Hybrids" and can contribute to creating a subspecies.

February 17, 2020: Fiona’s Fantastic Familiars was announced. This update was huge, with a chance to bond with familiars you don’t own (including Kickstarter familiars), and a slew of new recoloured familiars distributed for completing “Feats.” The above familiars can be obtained from Fiona for bonding with their recoloured counterparts to certain levels. A list of all feats, including the requirements for obtaining the new familiars, is here.

listen hearing about the new ancient breed having gem-only breed change scrolls, i’m getting even more suspicious now. gem mp prices were one thing, spiral capricat was one thing, but now they’re making an already expensive kind of dragon (since you have spend tons of cash to gene it) even more expensive. i love fr, but please, stop.

Contrary to popular belief, ridgebacks can deal with the water, but that doesn’t mean they hate it any less. For Hecate, being a ridgeback is preferable because her size allows her to go down deep, or spend time in the shallower areas for longer. Plus who has time to go through a breed change when your girlfriend is crying over your pet capricat doing something adorable.

Pearl probably works part time somewhere and spends the rest of her time knitting and making jam. She likes to have dinner ready for when her girlfriend gets home with the riches of the sea, but sometimes you just get so absorbed in what stitch you’re on that you forget. Such is the life of a spiral.
