Nine wandered around the area, pointing the phone in their hand at various things. Nine’s intention had been to look like a normal tourist while they showed Orca around the city, at least as much of a normal tourist you can appear when you have blue skin.

“What are you thinking so far?” Nine asked, ducking into an alley, glancing at their phone.

“It’s certainly very interesting. In a way it almost reminds me of some old pictures I’ve seen of places like New York or Detroit,” Orca responded. 

“Yes, I suppose it does. Is there anything specific you want to see Orca?”

“I don’t suppose everything is a good answer.”

Queenie hadn’t expected to see another human besides Vulture or Annalise, but this was a welcome surprise. Or—was it? An unseen force tugs at her shoulder, warning her to get back. Despite turning the idea over in her mind, she isn’t about to turn tail and leave.

“Is that so?” says Queenie, though not impolitely. From the vibes she was getting, she deems it appropriate to lie. “Julia—Lady Julia, as I was once known. A pleasure to meet you, Professor Tara.”

She doesn’t offer her a handshake, but nods. “I intended to ask Vulture about his proficiency in chemistry, but if he’s not here…”

Tara returned the gesture, even bowing slightly for the supposed noblewoman. “ A pleasure to meet you as well, Lady Julia.”

Tara wasn’t too surprised about the woman not offering her hand, Tara was still trying to het rid of that pesky sticky blue ink, but her smile persists. 

Her left hand balled into a fist. tightening at Queenie’s mention of ‘Vulture’s expertise’. She carefully slides her hand behind her back, careful to not let the other see it. “Oh, Vulture would probably trip over his feet trying to do anything. He’s a bumbling idiot, and I mean that in an endearing way, fufu.” 

She brings out a cloth from her back pocket, wiping her hands down from various filths on them as she continued. “Besides, you don’t want his knowledge. He barely knows left from right. If you want an expert’s suggestion, you’ll come to me. I am the best of all the professors in the group after all...you won’t find anyone smarter.”

She waves her hand, ushering Queenie to come inside. “Come, come! Make yourself comfortable. Please excuse the mess, there was....a little incident just a day ago.”

The room seems clean, organized. Her leather coat was hanging on the back of the swivel chair, which was in parked in front of the desk. The desk was a little messy, a few papers lying around, and there were several tabs open on the computer itself. It looks as if Tara was searching for something within the database. 

There was one thing that was noticeable. To the door on the right of the desk, there were mysterious blue stains coming out from just underneath the door. The door itself was in terrible shape, looking like it had been sealed but then opened with great force. It looked to be locked at the moment. 

Tara pulls up one of numerous chairs in the corner in front of the desk, which she then took a seat at. She swept some of the papers aside, and began to fidget with what looked like a toy watch. “So. You wish to ask about chemistry, Lady Julia?”

The dream (Part 1)

It all happened on a quiet night, in a wedding hall, they were celebrating a wedding Everyone was celebrating, dancing and eating, Chris was talking to Mayi and Rayman Atarime was with Octavia at a table, they were eating some of the food "Tavi! Tonight many shooting stars will fall! I want to see them!" Atarime said "No Atarime, you will have to wait until the party is over" Octavia exclaimed while she continued eating "Pleaseeeeeee!" Atarime said "*Sigh* okay, you win, just remember you have to go back before the party's over, okay?" Octavia told her "Yes! Thank you Tavi!!!" Atarime kissed her on the cheek and went to the door that led to the garden of the wedding hall Without anyone noticing, she left the wedding hall to see the shooting stars that would fall that night, at first everything was quiet

"A... ta... ri... me..." She heard a voice calling her, at first she ignored it since she thought it was just her imagination "A... ta... ri... me..." That voice sounded again... this time she decided to go to investigate, she walked near the forest

She listened as someone sang a terrifying melody, she got a little scared, but she decided to keep walking After walking for a while, she found an abandoned cemetery, she looked for the entrance, when she found it she decided to enter

"Ri... ght... He... re..." She heard that voice, she didn't have a flashlight, so the road was very dark, she decided to take a few steps forward

"Keep... wal... king..." She was already scared, when she turned around she realized that the exit was not there, it was as if it had disappeared, she decided to continue walking, in the background she saw a small purple flame "Oh! Maybe someone else is here!" she thought, she thought it was someone with a flashlight that was also in the cemetery, she approached the purple flame, the road was too dark, she almost fell on the road, but she finally got closer Oh no... it wasn't someone else, the small purple flame approached Atarime, she tried to touch it but when she did that, the voice spoke again

"You shouldn't have done that..." After hearing that, multiple purple flames appeared out of nowhere and headed towards the exit of the cemetery, after that a purple ghost appeared, the purple fire showed that it had a human silhouette with eyes totally yellow She saw the ghost go to the exit, The ghost was heading towards the wedding hall, she tried to stop the ghost but the ghost grabbed her with his magic and slammed her against the wall, causing her to fall unconscious due to the strong blow

...

"Ow..." The sun was barely rising, Atarime woke up to realize that she was still in the cemetery, she realized that she had a large purple stain on her stomach that almost reached to her chest (the small purple flame caused it), she quickly remembered what had happened, and ran to the wedding hall Atarime opened the doors of the wedding halls, everyone was there, some characters were trying to calm the people who were scared by what had happened last night, among the characters were Mayi, Rayman, Molly and Doctavio "That ghost is still out there with everyone's souls! We have to go after him!" Chris exclaimed Atarime tried to look for Octavia among all the people, but she didn't find her, until she saw Xena and went to talk to her "Xena? W-what happened!?" Atarime asked her "W-we were attacked last night b-by some kind of g-ghost!" Xena said, she was about to cry "Where are the others!?" Atarime asked "O-on the top floor, Lulu and Emmy a-are there-" Xena replied Atarime went running to the stairs to reach the top floor "A-atarime! W-wait!" Xena tried to stop her

“Quick, I think I hear someone coming!” 

Under the veil of darkness suspicious shuffles and hushed whispers could be heard from a tight alleyway. This alleyway separated Grizzco and a neighboring building, and with the seedy work that happened within the company, one might not think much of this slight noise--or even care. However an attentive passer-by may catch glimpse of a faint golden glow, or the whispers of... Salmon.

Further inspection would  lead someone to find a strange figure shrouded by the shadows. Tall and lanky, it appeared to have a humanoid shape, but the head of a salmon. Any other person would think this were a very strange Salmonid that had trespassed on Inkling turf, but an astute individual would notice the distinctly Inkling-like voice that it possessed.

The figure was taking eggs that were being passed though a ventilation opening on the side of Grizzco. He moved swiftly and carefully even with the tight squeeze, gently placing each egg into a bag at his side. There was another bag at his feet. It was black, but the glow of the eggs could be seen through the still open top. He whispered something in an unfamiliar language through the vent.

Vulture tried his best to avoid Splatsville when he could. After all, he was a human in a world full of cephalopods. If they saw that a supposedly extinct species yet lived, it would be...disastrous, to say the least.

The closest he could get to the town was the shifty outskirts, and even then he wore that old bird mask of his to hide his mammalian features. It worked just fine; the most they would do is raise an eyebrow and mind their business.

After gathering as much food as he could from the street merchant, it was time to get out of there. He hastily left the back alley to escape back into the badlands and into his comfy home-

Until he knocked straight into an unassuming pedestrian. The collision wasn't pretty either, they knocked heads, leaving a throbbing pain coursing through his skull.

"I-I apologize, I didn't mean to-" He briefly removed his mask to readjust it over his face before catching a glimpse of the woman.

A human woman.

"Wh- hey! What are you doing running around without a disguise?! What if they see you?! Since when was there another person running around here-!" He sputtered. The situation flustered him: this was a lot to take in.

Finn- He gave one anonymously to his crush, but didn’t receive any.

Marina- She wasn’t expecting anything, but it looks like she’s got a secret admirer!?

Molly- Somehow ended up with two, despite not caring for the day. She suspects one is from her Aunt, but has no idea who the other might be from...

Ribbon- There were handouts at school, so she gave 5 to her friends, and one to her parents! She got a looooad back, some she wasn’t even expecting!

Brine- He gave one to somebody, and received one from his parents . . . 

Pansy- She’s murmuring something about how when she was in her twenties, she’d get five every year. Perhaps she should try sending one.

SymbioteTale, SplatTale and CTS are probably the only AU that takes things above the surface.

The war never happened in SymbioteTale. Monsters and humans lived normally on the surface. At least... used to.

SplatTale is basically like the og Splatoon. Humans extinction. Except they're not fully extinct. The monsters don't know that though, until Frisk came.

ST:R split the humans and monster realm after the war. The weather was supposed to be equal for both race, but Winter and Autumn did not. Winter made sure the humans suffer. Think of it as a curse.
