Because you asked for prompts ❤ Klunk ~ who is the best romantic partner? only one way to find out: kissing/make-out contest! bonus if Hunk exploits Keith and Lance's competitiveness and reaps the rewards ;)

Lance and Keith just had to turn everything into a competition. 

Who can get ready the fastest? Who could eat dinner the fastest? Who could train better? Who could fly better? 

But the ‘who is the best romantic partner’ definitely takes the cake. Hunk sighs as he listens to his two boyfriends bicker about it, telling each other facts what they have done compared to what the other hasn’t. Though some facts were just ridiculous. (”I was Hunk’s taste tester.” “This whole SHIP is Hunk’s taste tester team!”)

Hunk shakes his head, trying to go back to something electronic that Pidge needed help with, trying to push his boyfriends’ bickering out of his mind so he could focus. And then:

“Hunk, judge something for us.” 

Oh no. This can’t be good. “..We’re not doing a dick measuring competition.”

“It’s not that!” Lance assures and Hunk breathes a sigh of relief. “Keith and I are gonna kiss you over and over and you tell us who is the best!”

“Wha- I can’t do that. I love you both - EQUALLY. How could I chose is the best kisser?”

“Well.. like this..” Keith starts and moves off the bed, to the floor, walking right over to where Hunk’s sitting. He gets on his knees and takes Hunk’s face right in his hands, leaning forward to press a kiss on his lips. 

And Keith’s lips are soft. Hunk can tell. Usually Keith’s lips are chapped, with scabs from picking or biting at them, but they feel so nice. When Keith pulls away, Hunk’s left speechless.

“Oh come on, that’s not even a--”

“His lips are soft, Lance,” Hunk interrupts. “They’re soft.” 

“No way in hell.” Lance says, looking over at Keith. “..I gotta feel.”

Not even a second passes and Lance had joined them on the ground and plants his lips on Keith’s with no warning whatsoever. Keith makes a startled noise, but he doesn’t make an attempt to pull away. Instead, he kisses back and Lance makes a pleasing hum before he pulls away. 

“Holy shit.” 

“Is that really a big shock that they’re soft?” Keith questions and both Lance and Hunk nod quickly. “..Geez. You two didn’t like my chapped lips, or seeing them bleeding all the time. Had to do something. Don’t start complaining because they’re too soft.”

“Aw, Keithy.. you did that for us.” Lance coos and Keith smacks him on the leg. “Ow!”

“Just kiss Hunk and get on with this contest.”

Lance grins, “With pleasure.”

Hunk takes in a breath to brace himself, because he knows how Lance gets. Lance cups Hunk’s cheek with his right hand, left hand pressed against the floor to keep himself steady. He leans in, and places a gentle kiss on Hunk’s lips before he presses a bit harder. Hunk hums, and then Lance nips at his lower lip with his teeth, making a shiver to go down Hunk’s spine.

Oh god.

Lance tugs on his lip and pulls back and Hunk’s eyes are wide while there’s a sultry look in Lance’s eyes, as well as a smirk on his lips. Keith’s staring with wide eyes and mouth agape. What the fuck. 

“Oh hell no. This isn’t over.”

Next thing Hunk knows, Keith’s on top of him and kissing him deeply - using his tongue too! Hunk remembers Keith was uneasy about using tongue when they kissed, because he’s not that experienced with kissing. Just small kisses were fine, because he could do that - it’s not hard and no matter what it’d be meaningful. 

But something about this kiss makes Hunk think Keith took lessons from Lance. Sure, Keith’s still hesitant, but not everyone is going to have the same style of kissing. 

When Keith pulls back, he’s panting a little, face flushed, and wipes his mouth with the back of his hand. Lance is just staring in silence, and then a smirk makes way to his lips.

“So my teaching actually helped.”

“Yeah, that means I’m the better romantic partner.”

“Wha-- no! No no! That’s not what I meant.”

“Sure.”

“Okay, you know what?” Hunk’s tired of this, so he gathers both his boyfriends into his arms and cuddles them close. “You’re both winners. The best boyfriends I can ask for. And you know what gets.”

Lance and Keith go silent and shake their heads. Hunk grins.

“Hunk kisses.”

Hunk ends up placing wet kisses on both Lance and Keith, kissing all over their face and making them squirm and laugh- “Hunk, stop it!” “We get it! We get it!” “Nah, I wanna kiss the winners!” - which just makes Hunk so happy. 

Though when he’s done, Lance and Keith are out of breath, panting like they just ran the marathon of their lives. Hunk’s running his hands through their hair, a soft smile on his lips.

“So who is the best romantic partner?” Hunk asks. 

Lance and Keith stare at each other, grin from ear to ear, and point at Hunk, “Definitely you.”

38. do you reread your own stories?

i’ve reread sections of stories that i remember especially liking, but usually once a story is posted, i never reread it. the few times that i’ve tried to reread a full story, i generally ended up flinching and wishing i could change half a dozen things so i try to avoid that misery lmao

42. do you plan or do you write whatever comes to your mind?

both! i like planning things out when i write something longer so i don’t write myself into a corner but i always leave it open to change if something new comes up 

44. do you write linear or do you write future scenes if you feel like it?

i usually write all over the place based on what i feel like writing and then go back and change things if needed + fill in all the scenes that i didn’t write before, marked by notes in my writing that say GO BACK TO THIS or FIGURE OUT THE TRANSITION HOW DO THEY GET HERE!!! 

actually the first scene i wrote for the b99 daemon au i’m working on right now is one of the last scenes in the story oops

49. writing advice

i guess the most important thing is to just keep writing, keep practicing, because you’re never going to get better unless you do it. and it’s okay if not every piece is better than the last!!! it doesn’t have to be, progress isn’t just a straight line up with no dips anywhere. i think it’s easy for people to get discouraged if they’re not constantly improving but that’s not how writing (or life) works. but if you keep writing, you will get better, i promise

also read. read a lot. read books and fics and when you read something you really like, think about what about it you like. was it the way the writer used metaphors here? was it the dialogue? the characterization? the pacing? was it the way they broke up sentences to create a sense of panic? think about how you can incorporate these things into your own writing (not in a plagarizing sense of course). honestly i’ve learned so much about writing by doing this

It's voices and characterization and plot points that are my biggest hurdles at this point...you know, the basic building blocks of a story? -_-'' Doyle didn't expect Sherlock Holmes to be such a hit, but hey. It was on point and so is your story. Just makes readers want more, I will keep making my way through!

oh phew that’s good :D english is the thing i’m struggling with the most so we’re all good then. i can definitely help out with voices, characterizations and plot/world building stuff~

ahahaha, i’ll be sure to remember that :P i guess it’s just a little surreal? i wrote it in 1-2 days after another very stressful exam week, it was supposed to be a vent thing, kind of. and apparently it blew up... it’s because this fandom is obsessed with langst i know it you know it let’s not lie to ourselves any longer

That character growth and change. hurt/comfort or angst/resolution or conflict/kissing, I want characters to be happy but it's best when they earn it! that's my fave. Good luck with studying *\o/*

GETTING TOGETHER IS ALSO GOOD. VERY GOOD,,,, the actual “falling in love” part is kinda hard for me for some reason? but writing the exact scene where they get together is fun~ i’m bad at character growth i think ajsdhfgjfd 

Haha, i think i like them being happy the best, no earning involved :P the thing that always makes me add angst are the stupid boys themselves, they are just so bad at communicating that they always somehow add angst to it -__-’

OR: Klunk ~ hang out together one day and don't realize until later it was a date the whole time. either orchestrated by one of them or totally by accident. they overcompensate by trying to make the rest of the date over-the-top-romantic. ❤

They were given a free day on the castleship while Allura and Coran run some tests on the castle and do some updates on certain things. The training deck wouldn’t be free for this time, because the training gladiator would need some updates after somebody electrocuted it last training session. (”At least I hit it!” Pidge defends themselves. “I’ll help fix it though!”)

With the training deck not being free, there’s nothing for Keith to do. So all he has to do is polish is Marmora knife, sitting on the couch in the common area, jacket over the back of the couch as he does so. The door swishes open, and Keith looks over to see Lance and Hunk walk in. This isn’t a surprise normally, but the two of them have swimsuits on and towels over their shoulders. 

“What’s up with the swimsuits?” 

“We figured out how to use the pool,” Lance says with a grin. “Or, well, Hunk did. Had to switch a few things, and we got permission from Allura to mess with the controls in there before we did it but.. we can swim now!”

“And we were coming to get you,” Hunk adds in. “This isn’t an invite you can decline either.”

“Then you two were going to drag me there if I said no?” Keith questions, and the two nod. “Alright. Fine. Let me change.”

Lance and Hunk cheer, following Keith to his room and waiting outside in the hallway for him to change. The three of them go down to the pool together, with Hunk sitting on the sidelines and keeping his feet in the water while Lance and Keith challenge each other to swimming laps. They eventually get tired of it and swim over to the side, elbows resting on the deck as they look up at their boyfriend.

“Come on, Hunk. Get in the water,” Lance says, grabbing onto his arm and tugging at it. “You can splash Keith! When his mullet is wet, he looks like a drowned rat.”

“I do not.” Keith says, brushing back his wet bangs. Hunk and Lance freeze, cheeks growing red. “..What?”

“Lance, I will definitely splash Keith if he continues doing that. But you have to save me if I die from how attractive our boyfriend is.”

“Deal.”

“Wha--” Hunk leans over, hand in water, and splashes Keith before getting into the pool. Keith shakes his head and brushes the hair out of his face again. “Hey! I didn’t agree to this!” 

“No one agrees to a splash fight! It just happens!”

After pool time, they dry off and change, going for the kitchen. Lunchtime was near, and Lance and Keith offer to help Hunk out. He’s a little skeptic at first, but he allows it, thinking what was the worst that could happen? 

Everything goes well at first. Until Keith spills something and it hits Lance in the chest. He didn’t mean it, really. And he goes to apologize but then Lance throws food goo at Keith’s face.

“Oh no. No food fight in my kitchen,” Hunk says, stopping them right there. He grabs a towel, already starting to wipe off Keith’s face. “Let us cook in peace, please. Especially if you two want to be taste testers for something I’m trying to make. Unless you want to get kicked out of my kitchen.” 

“..We’ll be good.” Lance and Keith say together and go back to helping Hunk. 

Half a varga later, Hunk makes something that resembles pudding. He takes it out of the fridge and sets it on the counter, gesturing his two boyfriends over, two spoons in hand already having the pudding on the spoons for them.

“You’re not allowed to ask what it is before you taste,” Hunk says. “Now open your mouths.”

They do so willingly, and Hunk feeds them at the same time. They take the spoon from him though, trying to figure out what he made exactly. They’re both quiet for a long time, smacking and licking their lips, trying to guess.

“It tastes like both a mix of vanilla and chocolate?” Lance questions. “But..”

“It tastes like pudding.” Keith says and Hunk nods, showing the two the choco-nilla swirl in the Altean bowl. “How--”

“Kaltenecker makes milk. So he is actually a she,” Hunk starts explaining. “And the last planet we were on had a marketplace, and I gathered up a lot of things. Some things looked different in shape and colour and it was a lot of trial an error before I actually got something that tasted like chocolate and vanilla.”

“Hunk, you’re a genius.” Lance tries to lean over to get another spoonful but Hunk whacks his hand. “Ow!”

“No. You’ll ruin your appetite. This is dessert - not what we’re all having for lunch.” 

“Just another spoonful--” 

“No. And puppy eyes do not work on me, Lance.”

“Quiznak.”

It’s after lunch that the training deck is back up, and Keith rushes to go train, but Lance and Hunk follow. 

“..Why?” Keith questions as he takes out his Marmora blade, the blade extending as he does. “Me training isn’t going to be interesting.”

“Yeah, well, we want to spend time with you? We have nothing better to do because Coran and Allura are running tests on the lions too,” Lance says with a shrug. “Besides, wouldn’t mind seeing that Marmora blade in action.”

Keith shrugs, and the two sit on the sidelines as Keith fights against the gladiator. Meanwhile, Lance and Hunk are being sports announcers.

“And we have Keith Kogane, using his Marmora blade on the Gladiator!” Hunk calls out. “It started off as a small dagger, but Kogane has awakened it and now it’s a sword!”

“It looks like a very strong and sharp sword, too,” Lance adds in. “It could slice and dice that gladiator in seconds.”

“Let’s hope Kogane doesn’t do that, or Coran will have to fix it again.”

Keith feels like he’s going to end up laughing from the two, and they make him lose concentration, so the gladiator charges at him with a pole. One second, Keith dodges. The other, the gladiator hits him dead on in the stomach. Lance and Hunk wince.

“Oh, that’s not pretty!” Lance calls out. “I’m surprised the gladiator didn’t make Kogane into a Paladin-kabob!” 

“Kogane is crazy strong anyway - did you see those abs? They can take anything.” Hunk says and watches as Keith charges, ducks, and then slices the gladiator in the chest. “Oh, look at that agility! Kogane is well known for it. He could beat a cheetah with that agility!” 

“Oh my god, you two shut up.” Keith says, but his grin is wide and he’s laughing a little. “Please. I’m trying to focus.” 

Lance and Hunk look over at each other and get up for a moment, slowly starting to walk over to Keith.

“Well, gee, Kogane can fight a gladiator but can he defeat--”

“The tickle gladiators..” Hunk finishes.

“Oh god. No. No no.” Keith pleads, dropping his knife and backing away as his boyfriends come closer. “Guys--”

He trips, and falls onto the training deck floor. Lance and Hunk use this perfect opportunity to attack, peppering Keith’s face in kisses and hands tickling his sides and stomach. Keith’s laughter is crazy loud, and he’s kicking his legs as he begs for them to stop. Eventually they do when they notice how red Keith’s face has gotten. 

“You guys are the worst..” Keith tells them between pants.

“You love us.”

It’s later in the evening after dinner when the three of them are gathered on the couch, watching a movie on Pidge’s laptop. Partially through the movie, Lance realizes something.

“Guys. Did we just go on one big date today?” 

Keith and Hunk go quiet and think about it. They were kind of fluffy and romantic today, weren’t they? From going to the pool together, to cooking together, having a tickle fight on the training deck--

“Fuck, you’re right,” Keith says. “Now we’re on a movie date.”

“We have to make this more romantic though.” Hunk tells them. “But how..”

“Cuddle session?” Lance offers.

“..Cuddle session.”

They end up on the floor, snuggling one another as they continue watching the movie. Hunk’s one big teddy bear for Lance and Keith, and Hunk’s stroking their hair as they watch the movie together. They end up falling asleep like this.

Another redesign for Bellsung. Rewrote her backstory a bit in order to make her less overpowered and easier to write scenarios around.

Now both of her hands detach instead of just one. Her head is also detachable-- Yup, instead of a Grim Reaper she’s now a Dullahan! (Though that could considered the same thing. :P)

I’m kinda torn between keeping her long scarf or giving her a long ponytail, though... I might give her a bandana.
