🚨SPOILERS OF STORMLIGHT 4🚨

Painting this has meant to me something similar to what this moment meant to Kal. I've been in an art block for several weeks now, but this painting has awaken my joy of painting back a little, so I hope you love and appreciate it!

I remember reading this moment with tears in my eyes, almost unable to see the words on the pages. What an incredibly touching moment it was to see Kal swearing his 4th Ideal and saving his father!

I hope you enjoy my art as much as I did painting it!

I noticed while I was playing piano that I was thinking of the instrument as if it had a spren that I was convincing to give me music. A shardpiano. Feeling very Adolin Kholin like.

I think one of my favourite (as in the way it is applied is funny) pieces of world building is how gender/sex works for the Singers/Parshendi.

Which is 99% of the forms they have are asexual (called malen and femalen) and only in their mate form do they experience sexual attraction (and won't have any idea what their orientation is before they enter mateform).

Now this is kinda fun by itself, but it leads to something great:

Spren Gender patterns itself on Sapient Perception, so half of spren are male, half are female.

And Syl mentions specifically that older spren can be of four genders, because "Humans didn't imagine them".

So they are Singer Genders, which are malen, femalen, male, and female.

And the diffenrence between malen-male, and femalen-female is... male and female are horny and distracted by the fact that they are horny.

So some significant portion (I doubt 50%, probably 5-10%) of ancient Spren were horny all the time, but couldn't do anything about it, cause spren can't have sex.

I don't know what that implies, but it is hilarious.

I recently started a dnd campaign inspired by Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight archive saga, so I drew my player's spren as a surprise.

The most realistic thing about the Stormlight Archive is that the city where bits of gods reside, and what are essentially messiahs live, is a walkable city.

Only a walkable city could be that holy.

This was actually a recreation of a drawing of a fire nymph it did on my desk (before my teacher told me to erase it) a few months ago but I looked back on it and thought that if I changed the colour and added a dress it looks a lot like her
