I had the pleasure of sitting down and talking with John Skipp. He is a writer/editor/musician/screenwriter/director  and one of the original creators in the Splatterpunk movement, He's known for the Book of the Dead,  The Light at the End, A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, Stupography  among other work and as cool as you'd expect him to be from his work. All Hail the Popcorn King, the documentary on the life and musings of writer, Joe Lansdale, directed by Hansi Oppenheimer, will be headlining a night of stellar events at the Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Being billed as “Lansdale-Palooza” the filmmaker will be screening her latest work there as well as taking part in a Q & A session featuring herself and Joe Lansdale. The panel will be moderated by none other than the creator of Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin.

If you are a fan of Joe’s work then mark your calendar and plan on attending this event if you are in the area. In addition to the above-mentioned activities, the author will also be signing his book, The Elephant of Surprise and that’s not all! There will be a screening of Bubba Ho-Tep!
