[ PLAY ]:          while sitting together, the sender absently lifts the receiver’s hand, idly running their fingertips across the lines of their palms, mapping out every inch of their hand with slow, lazy touches - Amanda to Sol

sol was exhausted. being out with his sister so late was simply not his forte. some would say, he was still young so he shouldn't act like an old man, but he'd always been more introverted than his siblings. regardless of that, he's awake, head resting back against the tub's rim, reveling in amanda's weight against him. as she shifts, the water sloshes and he watches her take his hand, swiping the bubbles off before mapping out the lines and scars and nicks along damp skin. shifting, he lays his head back once more, free hand spanning over her thigh, gently caressing as a soft, deep rumble emits from his chest, rolling over his thumb into the srenity of the bathroom, lowlighting giving strength to the soft, almost wispy ambience that they deserved to relax in.

A HEART MADE FOR LOVE is starved when filled with loneliness.  For many years, after leaving her troupe, Esmeralda wandered the world, aimless and alone.  She sought solace in contentment, knowing herself to be young, healthy, gifted with skills to earn an honest keep.  Still, as she lay in a barn or under the stars at night, she missed someone to travel with, someone to talk to.  But, she, a Roma, could not simply reach out to any stranger.  Gentle folk might be affronted by her boldness.  Worse, they might call on the authorities to arrest her.  Then, one  day, perchance, the Lady Comstock crossed paths with her.  Imagine!  Suddenly, Esmeralda does not only have friends.  She has FAMILY. 

An ODD MIX of siblings from all walks of life - the Lady Comstock’s love extends to all.  Mal proves to be one of the more mischievous.  As Esmeralda prepares to celebrate her first Christmas - she was previously not familiar with the religion or customs after all - Mal is already proposing something that will cause a RIOT.  She looks up from the gift wrapping - he better not see the new boots she got him! - she shakes her head.  Her voice is even, but her eyes are DANCING.

            “I think she wants us to behave and be obedient, even if he is a horrible man.            But where is the FUN in that really?  Let’s get the others and go kick Santa.”

i swear to all that is good, denisa is the true personification of a ray of sunlight. she is so bright and fun and positive literally all the time. she’s always making sure her friends feel happy and loved and i admire her so much for that. there have been so many times where i’ve posted about feeling down and she’s in my inbox or my IMs in .2 seconds later and she’s giving me happy messages. she’s literally just such an angel and i love her so so much. she’s also talented as heck?? like i love her writing so much. it doesn’t matter who she’s writing, she totally understand them and knows like everything there is to know about who the character is as a person and she just wows me every time. she’s incredible.

sometimes she just speaks, usually when inara’s in the room so the illusion of a conversation can persist if one isn’t created with queenie’s chatter. her dreamy eyes flit over mal momentarily, like she’s seeing him without even needing to look.

now it seems very clear that queenie isn’t interested in speaking to the dead air any more. she turns fully, flashes him her gilded smile.

      before he even steps inside the bakery, he can smell the fresh sweet scent of well, heaven. it was something he loved about being around serenity, no matter what she did she always smelled sweet like her bakery. he isn’t surprised to see the shop packed, almost too full for him to scoot his way inside, but he manages, pulling the door shut to keep the cold out. it was a sunday after all, and while that didn’t mean much to him, he knew it was important to others for whatever reason. familiar faces from the apartments are moving swiftly behind the counter, trying to work their way through customers. theodore lingers near the back, waiting for the crowd to dwindle, only because he wants to actually see serenity, yet she’s nowhere in sight. didn’t seem right to stop by her bakery and not say hi. once the rush has slowed, he slips up to the counter, smiling at one of the workers, “hey, is serenity in today?? -- was hopin’ she was working..” // @srenitys​

Superlatives time, who is most likely: to fall in love on a first date? To break hearts? To turn into a serial killer? To host an orgy? To become you, the gossip blogs, best friend? To become a ghost hunter? To overdose on chocolate?

what do i look like, a high school yearbook? i’m doing some of these, but some are just ridiculous:  - fall in love on a first date – serenity.  - break hearts – apparently scarlett.  - to host an orgy – ryland and hunny proved that on new years.  - to become my best friend – noor for sure.  - to become a ghost hunter – uh, maybe kenzo? he’ll need a shane to his ryan though.and the last one sounds far too much like a 1975 lyric to deign a response. you’re welcome.
